The grounds and gardens of the Solacious manor, usually austere and military are bedecked in streamers and garlands in the house colors interspersed with the white traditional for lifebonding ceremonies. There is, of course a huge party representing the Solaciouses, but there is no shortage of representatives from all walks. Everyone from Royal Goods to Freesword Rabble are in attendance. The garden is abuzz with conversation and laughter, not least of all because of the fine buffet and bar!
In the pavillion set up for the ceremony itself, Fenris is having a hushed conversation with a fox dressed in very plain finery. Those in the know might recognize Sirus, the head of the Spyguard. They seem to be having some sort of disagreement, but it is probably nothing serious.
Dressed up in a fine, flowing white gown, Cassidy was off to the side, nervously fussing with the ringlets in her hair as she spoke with her mother. The fennec was, in a rare moment, rather nervous! Lots of things didn't phase her, but it wasn't ever day she was at a life bonding ceremony. Let alone her own! The older vixen was trying to reassure her, while also trying to get her to stop messing with her hair. It would be time, soon, after all.
Natska, in a similarly elegant white dress to match Cassidy, is off to the other side with her parents. Both of them have dressed well for the occaison, although there does not seem to be other members of her family present. In contrast to her beloved, Natska seems to be a center of calm, observing the chaos and fanfare with a faint smile and murmuring quietly with her mother; her father is, on the other hand, almost openly gaping at the spectacle of a noble family bonding - even if it is one that won't produce chidlren, it looked like the Solacious family hadn't held back.
All dressed up in fancy, rich, black noble clothes and masked wih his usual plague mask as he felt he wouldn't be able to look people in the eye effectively, Thelergramor heads on into the garden. The wolf peers around at the decorations, at Cassidy and Natska, their parents... the others gathered... The wolf just stays quiet, off to one side of the groups of beings.
Selena stifles a yawn as she makes her way through the bustle, a slightly bittersweet expression on her face as she takes a proper look around.
She's wearing an evening gown more appropriate for the event than her typical attire; an elegant thing that - while it doesn't look out of place on her - is quite clearly a rapid departure from the level of practicality she prefers.
After a few more moments of looking around and shaking hands with a few familiar acquaintances, the wolfess makes her way over to the more familiar faces in the crowd; namely Cassidy, for the time being - the first of the pair that had caught her eye on entry. "Cassidy, good evening." She greets; "I'm almost surprised some of the Solacious haven't made a fuss over this... It's certainly a welcome development that they haven't, though." Sighing slightly and looking back over the gathering, she offers out a hand to the vixen's mother, a slightly somber note to her voice making it clear she's a little uncomfortable with the formalities as well. "I don't believe we've met before."
Rokarion was standing in one of the emptier sections of the grounds. The plant being, clad in their usual body covering heavy cloak and grey garments, frugal yet kept meticulously clean, was wondering why did he come here? Oh, of course a crowd of spectators pushed him with them as they entered here. Since he was here already, the plant being decided to stay and wish the new couple a happy life, after all a being trained as a priest, no matter how young or if they are active or not, should always set an example for others, and show happiness during weddings, or at least serenity in his case.
The warm afternoon is perfect for this gathering! Though it is rather a shame that the sun isn't shining. It seems that the cloudy disposition is shared by some of the relations who stand about in scattered groups, their frowns quite evident against the sea of smiles. But the small army of servants are keeping their glasses full and steering them away from the couple and their immediate families.
Fenris manages to cut off his argument with the influential Sirus Solacious and takes up his station in the pavilion while Sirus walks off with a smirk on his face. Ushers start to move the wedding parties to their seats.
Cassidy perks her ears and turns to smile at Selena as she approaches. "Selena! Thank you for coming today. I was hoping you'd make it. And... Some of them did, at first. But I have my parents to thank for putting most of their concerns at rest. Or at least quieting them. This is Alexi," she says, gesturing to her mother who takes Selena's hand in a firm shake, offering a smile of her own.
"It's a pleasure, miss... Hearthkeep, I do believe. We've heard about you! Cassidy has told us of you, and I've read over your papers on three dimensional magics. Quite impressive!"
Jera makes his way into the wedding gathering dressed in a pale red. He has deemed it fit to don a dress for this occasion seeing the couple about to be married and hearing about the naysayers to the pairing. After all, why spurn the stubborn halfway? He looks around at the guests and starts heading over to congratulate the couple.
Natsksa's parents move to their seats, and Natska gives Cassidy a wide, bright smile as her attention lands on her fennec again. She clasps her hands together and takes her spot, waiting, giving happy aknowledgments to her friends as she picks them out from the crowd.
Thelergramor just lets himself be led by any ushers who want him moved, spotting Selena and Rokarion not long after. Thel tries to sit somewhere close to at least one of his friends; then sees Jera. Immediately thinks he should've worn his own dress...
Selena nods back to the pair, sighing slightly and shaking her head. "Some nobles never seem to be happy with these things..." She murmurs to herself, nodding back to Alexi. "Please, just call me Selena. It's good to meet you, Alexi." She replies - then the ushers start moving through the crowd, the wolfess looking back over her shoulder and tsking. "Well, I should take a seat."
It doesn't take the wolfess long to find an usher and slip into a seat, watching on in polite silence, nodding in acknowledgement to Thelergramor as she settles in somewhat near the wolf.
Rokarion was busy glancing around the crowd, seeing how came and who did not. He did hear a couple whispering about a Sirus Solacious in the crowd, which made Rokarion move a bit closer to see the noble, sadly he did not manage to get a good glance before Sirus disappeared from view. With a sigh, Rokarion glanced the grounds again, suddenly deciding to do what he enjoyed best, and with that in mind, Rokarion took out a sketch book and his pens, before moving to a more secluded area, the one with the best view of the scene, and began drawing.
Jera finds his seat first. Waving to Thel and Selena once they find their own nearby, smiling ear to ear. He mumbles something under his breath to form his wisp under the large cover of his wedding gown, perhaps as a surprise for later.
