There is an elaborately carved wooden board in the large table in the middle of the library, along with what looks like stacks of cards placed in three neat piles, colored green, black and white. There appear to be six cards placed in pairs, forming three corners in the middle of the board. Left, Right, and Top. Left contains the East Forest Shack, labelled with a green card "Draw a green card", and another card named "Northwarden Canyon, Deal 2 damage or restore 1 hp to target" labelled with a purple card. Right contains two Shralestan locales. "Aranian Monastery, Draw a white card", labelled with a white card, and Port Sayyf "May draw from any stack of choice", marked yellow. The top set has two Cliffside locations. "Cliffside academy, Draw a black card". Marked with a black card, and "Cliffside noble district, Steal 1 equipment from another player."

More importantly, there is a raven researcher dressed in ornate robes pacing about the table, waiting for his players to arrive.

Cassidy slowly wanders into the library, dressed up in her usual finery and taking in the sights of the board. "So, ah... Uh." She looks at the raven and gestures vaguely to the cards and the game itself. "What? What do I do?"

The nurse shark walks in, surprised that there is a board game, and one she's never seen before. She watches with interest, taking out her slate and writing <Same question she asked> and pointing to Cassidy.

Natska follows along behind Cassidy, smiling. She looks over the board and then up at the raven, then inclines her head and offers one of her gloved hands. "Hello! I am Natska. I look forward to seeing this."

Thelergramor yawns as he makes his way inside; immediately brightened by the fact that Cassidy nad Natska are here. "Hey, Cass, Nats. When'd you two get back? Missed the both of ya." Looks over to the researcher. "Hey, how you doin'? So, a game?" A short nod is given to Cirra.

The eager clip-clopping of hooves dashing about on stone echoes through the library, until a particuluarly loud and angry 'SHHHHH' comes out from a rather matronly, Clever-clanned Sheep, glaring up at the offender from her desk.

The clip-clopping becomes rather dejected as Dupree mopes into the common area, a cool wind rustling the nearby books as the cloudy grey mare passes them by, dressed in her ridiculous sports uniform. She perks up a bit, though, as she sees some familiar faces from the previous competition, and when she spots the Corvid researcher, she seems to forget all her troubles, her mighty wings unfolding with a loud *FOOOOMF*, sending a gust throughout the room. "Oooh! Your feathers are so pretty! What about mine? I'm new at having feathers! Do they look good?"

As is common with Sara these past few days, the acrid smell of smoke, metal, and sweat seems to follow her, the lizard woman having apparently only just gotten out of forge duty to overhear the eggheads newest idea and their call for people to test it. "Board game? Huh.. wonder what that is.." she mumbles as she makes her way through the city on her way to the Academy that this place had been located. Upon reaching the library and looking around, Sara notices a few familiar faces amongst the crowd and offers her own short nod in greeting, "Evening Natska, Cass. Welcome back, I missed you both!" Thelergramor gets a friendly wave, and the rest simply get nods in greeting. With greetings aside the lizard woman turns her crimson gaze to the raven and asks, "I'm guessing you're the one holding this? Can't wait to test it out, s--." her sentence brought to an early close as she lifts an arm against the sudden gust of wind, "Hello to you too."

Jera arrives at the scene! Evidently forming up the last player as he heads into the library and takes a seat, waving at his friends with a smile. "Guess I made it." The researcher puts up a sign saying "Research in Progress" and prevents anyone else from joining the game. "Now. The game is simple. You get a character dealt to you..." He hands everyone a sheet of paper bearing the list of characters. "Now, the green cards contain questions. When you draw one, just slide it over to who you want to ask it to and they must answer it truthfully...if they take damage, they've answered yes. Be careful though, one of the characters can lie to questions! The white cards tend to be more supportive in nature. And the black cards more offensive. If you find an equipment card, you can keep it until the end of the game. If you kill a person though, you steal his equipments."

"The first player...as this todd seems to have volunteered..." The researcher continues with a soft cough, issuing Jera a character card. He takes a look at it and then frowns for a moment before putting it face down on the table. Taking a purple token and putting it on this numbered scale, the token placed on "No Damage". It goes all the way up to 14. He takes a pair of dice, one pyramidal and the other cubical, and throws them both. Getting a 1 and a 3 for a total of 4. He moves another token of a matching color to the Northwarden Canyon location and then crosses his arms. "That's all I can do for the turn, right?" He asks, evidently having played before. The researcher nods. "Who wants to go next?"

Cassidy takes her sheet and shuffles back to turn a confused look to Natska. "Ahhh. Hey, Thel," she says, avoiding the question entirely. "What a curious game this is! But I'm looking forward to playing it!" She looks over her character sheet, ears flicking atop her head. "Interesting..."

Cirra looks over the game, then raises her hand. She realizes she's not getting any attention, so she scribbles on the chalkboard. <I GO NEXT.> Seems she's sacrificing grammar for brevity.

Cirra looks over the game, then raises her hand. She realizes she's not getting any attention, so she scribbles on the chalkboard. <I GO NEXT.> Seems she's sacrificing grammar for brevity. She sits at the table, grabbing for the dice.

Natska nods her head. She waits for Cirra to take her seat, then sits down herself and gives the other players a smile. "It is good to see you again, Jera! And Cirra. And Thel and Sara, too, it has been long. I hope you have all been well. And I will try to go easy on you."

Thelergramor just shrugs off that Cass avoided his question. The shirtless wolf looks over the table and them cards. And those things. And Jera. Utterly lost. Just sits at the table. Answers Natska. "I've been good, mostly. When I'm not blacking out drunk from boredom."

Rolling the dice, Cirra gets an 8, allowing her to choose where she goes. She picks the monastery, drawing a white card.

Cirra blinks, frowning that her card did nothing.

Natska recieves her identity card and raises her eyebrows, then quietly snickers. She sets it down on the table in front of her and places the marker, the same as Jera had, then rolls her dice. After a few moments of figuring out what to do with the result, she places her pawn on the East Forest Shack and draws a card. Then she smiles and sets it down in front of Jera. "Jera, are you playing a character from the corrupt court?"

Jera quietly reaches over to give Natska a light tap on her hand. "Don't tell others what the question is! It was meant for you alone. But since everyone knows...yes. I am a member of the corrupt court." He shifts his damage token up one counter and then crosses his hands, trying to smile.

Thelergramor rolls them dice, getting a 5 total. Which gives him the option of healing someone or damaging someone. "So, do one of these things then. Right." Shrugs, heals the Jera.

Dupree frowns as the researcher clears his throat and points to the long table behind her. Why didn't he want to talk about wings? Were birds ashamed of them? But why? Wings were awesome!..Oh! Right! Sitting! The mare takes her seat beside her shirtless Wolf friend. "Hello again! What happened to you? Do you need money for a new shirt? I got wings!" she announces, flapping them in demonstration and sending a breeze through the nearby books (and cards). With that, she picks up the dice, rattles them energetically, and casts them upon the table.

"Alright! Eight!" Dupree whoops. "What did I win?" She looks a bit confused as someone taps her on the shoulder and explains that it isn't how this works...her long face droops slightly, before she picks up her pawn and moves to Northwarden Canyon, since she had fun on a recent sojourn there.

"Heh, good to hear Natska, and yeah.. it has been long. Almost ages it seems. You went to Thera'dor, right? Atleast that's what Lady Flora, and Lady Sveta tell me.. what was it like?" Idle chatter aside, Sara makes her way to one of the seats. Once there she undoes the heavy leather apron, and casts it haphazardly aside, and over one of the empty chairs out of the way. With the apron set aside she seats herself down at the table, and rolls the offered dice. "Huh.. seven.. seven.." she mumbles to herself as she looks over the sheet, "Can't see it here, does that mean I don't play yet? Huh.. guess not." she shrugs then and leans back in her seat, clawed fingers idly tapping at the table infront of her.

Fayrmune takes the dice and looks at them quizzically for a moment before rolling, landing a total of 10. She moves her piece to the Cliffside Noble District. She gets excited for a moment, thinking she can steal something now!... but noone has anything to steal. She lowers her ears, disappointed.

The researcher scribbles notes down as he notes Dupree's confusion, probably some rule edits. He gently gives Jera a nudge and the more experienced player nods, after staring at Thel while shaking the dice. "You'd be wise not to reveal your allegiances so early, Thel." He chuckles, and then throws a 7. Staying in Northwarden Canyon and frowning for a bit. "I choose to damage...hmm. Nobody I want to damage. I heal myself then, from zero to zero. And then I'll probably demonstrate an attack on...Dupree, probably. Since she looked so lost with the rules." He tosses the two dice again. Rolling a 4 and a 3. "Four minus three makes...one damage, right?" A light gust of wind blows in the area from mathemagic as he moves Dupree's token up 1 damage. "Yes. So Dupree takes 1 damage."

Cassidy looks over the board and the players for a moment, nodding slowly and finally moving to take her seat. "Right then. Let's... See if I've got a grasp on this, then!" Once seated, she takes another look at her character sheet and hums.

After getting settled, Cassidy nods and looks over the information she needs to process. "Alright, then!" She smooths down her dress and gets herself comfortable, rolling up her dice to decide her location, and then rolling again to make a (pitiful) attempt at dealing damage to Jera!

Cirra takes her dice, and heads to the Cliffside Academy. She gulps in sorrow as she draws a card, reveals it to be a shaded hex (+1 do damage), then sighs a bit, rubbing her forehead. She shakes her head, then grabs the dice and does a basic attack, dealing 2 damage to the pegasus.

Natska gives Jera a sad look, then winces. "Sorry, Jera! I hadn't realized." Ears flat, the jaguar picks up her dice and rolls them. She peers at the board for a moment, then grins and puts her piece on the Noble District. "And I will be taxing that Hex, thank you~," she says as she steal's Cirra's item. After a moment of consideration, she rolls the attack dice. "And another three damage to Dupree."

Thelergramor glances around the table, pretty sure he's got it now. Rolls dice, gets 7. "Ah, 7. Easy one. Stay here. Done. No attacking." Scratches his muzzle, looks over to Jera. "Eh, well, new player."

Dupree gives Jera a look of grave offense as she is apparently 'damaged' by him. "B..b..but...I've never even met you! Why would you hurt me?" she cries, lip quivering. She huffs indignantly, handing her green card to Natska and 'attacking' Jera.

Natska takes the card, wrinkles her nose for a moment, then shakes her head and then hides the card as she slides it to the discards.

"Hrm.." Sara mumbles to herself, her attention on Natska breaking with her left looking back down to her sheet, her question left unanswered. As she reads, the lips of her muzzle pulling to the right, "Well, let's see.." gathering up the dice and rolling once more, "C'mon, c'mon.. let's see if this'll land me somewhere on the table.." As she casts them down onto the table and notices the 9 Sara takes her pawn and sets it onto the cliffside accademy which leaves her pulling a black card which is briefly read, and set aside for later use. With the card out of her hands, Sara gathers the dice once more and states, "Hrm.. I believe I'll attack you. Sorry!" she tells Fayrmune before rolling the dice again.

Fayrmune rolls her dice and moves her piece to the port, then, thinking a moment, moves it again to the Monestery. She draws her white card and reads it, tapping her cheek. "Well, I guess this would be indiscriminant payback for everyone who attacked me...", she says before revealing the Flare of Judgement card. "Everyone else can take 3 damage."

Jera throws the dice. And finds himself still trapped in Northwarden Canyons. Frowning. He just shakes his head and moves Fayrmune's counter up another two squares. "No hitting me." He grumbles, the second most damaged character in the game right now. And with his identity revealed! He decides to throw the dice again and take another stab at Dupree. "We could keep going like this, you know." He cackles. Another damage dealt.

Cassidy's spirit remains in Northwarden after her roll of the dice! This time, she settles her finger on Thel and smiles. "You're up for taking the damage this time!" She chimes, before taking up her dice and rolling again, this time for her attack!

Cirra ends up in Northwarden, and decides to try to pick off Thelergramor while she has the chance, doing the two damage from Northwarden, and one damage from her basic attack.

Thelergramor grins as he was taken outta the game. "Welp, fun while it lasted. This one was Vasht. So, yeah." The wolf chuckles, takes a flask from his belt, marked 'whiskey' quite clearly. Drinks and proceeds to spectate.
