The warehouse doors wide open grant entry into a low roar of talking as good folks get to converse amongst themselves. The interior is coated with cloth covered mysteries which are gathered around with interest, though the long and generous table of foods and drink get a large portion of everyones attention. Outside the doors stands a large heavy can Walrus, tweaking his whiskers occassionally as he greets everyone who walks in happily, telling them all a rather tired out old joke and then laughing heartily about it. "Come on in! Those who have attended my partys before, I welcome you back heartily!" he says with a smile. "Great deals, think Rold!"

Kalt works her way to the entrance of the party, clad in... Unusual dress. For her that is, given that she's actually wearing a -dress-! It was borrowed from some aparantly, given the slight last minute alterations but it seems the girl actually understood it was bad manners for a lady to show up to a art show in pants.... Her hair that was usually tied back in a tail, was left washed and hanging down around her shoulders with a small flower set in it. The Vixen fidgets with a few metal bracelets as she approaches and bows to Rold, smiling at some of his jokes due to her own poor humor, before going to make her way inside to stand off to the side of the entrance and look over the party as she takes a deep breath.

Angus is not to far behind Kalt, giving the Walrus a nod in greeting as he listens to the joke...Even the young noble himself had decided to dress up for this, a waist coat pulled over his usual silk shirt and an elegant leather collar covering the scars of his throat to make him look less intimidating as he steps up beside Kalt. "How are you hodling up?" He asks her as he looks over the room to see if he could regonize any of the other viewers at the gallery.

Siyu smiles and makes sure that everything is perfect. He's a well to do merchant now, after all, so he has to have everyhing in place. His long silk coat, fine silk pants, gloves and shirt. All accent and highlight his features. Wide hips, delicate, beautiful face, and long hair. The long flowing black hair rests down his back. Some traditional silver bells have also been added. His glasses polished and the gold of them glimmers. The pleasing, gentle vanilla scent, mixed with jasmine waft around him, soothing and calming as he chats up buisnessmen. He blinks at Kalt chittering, "You look wonderful Kalt!" he compliments her.

Rahn stumps up to the warehouse with a formal, if unpracticed bow to the jovial walrus at the entrance. It felt strange to be wandering free of the cloisters after so many days in quiet meditation. He had hoped to run into someone he knew before arriving at the event itself, and he felt woefully under dressed. Why had he not worn the nice outfit that Siyu had given him? Speaking of. . . Rahn visibly relaxes when he sees the little rodent merchant in all his finery. "Ho! Siyu!" the rhino rumbles as he heads toward the familiar face.

The party is bustling as the walrus attracts more and more folks from all walks of life, be it by art or free food. A few of his employees stand about making offers on imported furniture, a few fine looking chests and dressers stand off to the side, rather fine quality from the looks of them. Rold comes in after a short time and taps some metal against one of his glasses and clears his throat. "WELL! I'm happy to have such a turnout!" he announces as he looks around. "I'll be greeting more arriving guests before you can all lhave the pleasure of my company in full." he says before a few folks laugh at the outright assuredness as he nudges them. "But I'll unveil something for you all to marvel at first! A statue, fashioned after a sea beast reported recently, has been sent to me for your viewing pleasure, it will be for sale at a later date but please, do let your eyes enjoy!" he says as he uncovers a rather peculiar carving of a shrouded beast. Most of it's features look to be that of water and waves, but a few details are spectacular, it appears to be the fabled levithan."

Kalt looks to Angus as she smiles and shrugs gently. "I uh... Ain't gonna be bad an' all. S'just awkward wearin' a dress an' all..." She fidgets for a moment as she looks over the room before speaking back to Angus. "How 'bout you? Ain't checkin' folks you should be goin' an' runnin' from eh?" She smirks before Siyu approaches and she does her best attempt at a curtsy, almost falling before catching herself. "Ah, thank you kindly Siyu. Lookin' dashin' an' well dressed yourself." her gaze snapping to Rold as he speaks once more, falling on the the statue in question with wonder as she remembers to cover her mouth before speaking. "... Ain't thinkin' artists can work fast an' such an' still make it so... Good."

Angus leans up against Kalt and nods, as he looks around. "No no, just looking to see who turned out for this. For example." He starts pointing at a few beings around the place. "For example those few over there are members of the court." He smiles at Siyu as he appears, giving him a nod if greeting. "Good evening Siyu, how are you?" His gaze flicks over to an older Bovine gentleman and the being he is talking to before he notices Rahn, giving him a nod in greeting as well.

Siyu turns and offers a gentle little squeek to the large Rhino, "Rhan, greetings and salutations, what are you doing here? Come to enjoy some art hm? Or thinking of bidding on somthing?" he inquires with a chittering laugh. He glances over to see what's being displayed, a Levithan? He idly reachs into a pocket to feel the tooth that's hidden in there, a bit of a prize, but he considers, "I wonder if the artist even saw the Levithan.." he glances at Angus and smiles, "How are you Lord Solacious, out enjoying some art. Planning on bidding on anything today?"

Rahn's face splits in a brilliant grin as he sees Angus as well as Siyu. "Hello my friends," he rumbles, then looks up at the unveiled statue. It is a remarkable piece, though he cannot vouch for its accuracy. "I've never seen anything like that," he says, "Is there really something like that swimming around out in the bay?" The Rhino shudders. Even more reasons to never ever ever get in the water. Rahn shakes off his dark thoughts and reaches down to pat Siyu on the head with a deep laugh. "I doubt I could afford any of these things my little friend," he says.

The old bovine and who she's talking to part ways, and a slick looking parrot makes his way towards Angus. "Hey! You're a solacious aren't you? How are we doing today?" he asks with a cheesy smile. The crowd around the statue thickens as someone goes over it in their expert opinion, a few others nodding in agreement. "I quite like the sense of mystery. We don't see the whole beast." one lady adds as he drinks some wine. A few people graze over the available foods, one woman coming near profanity when a gentleman drops a wad of meat between fancy delictables onto her fine dress.

Kalt shudders as she thinks about the levithan being in the seas, grimacing some as she mutters about another reason to stay on land. She quickly snaps out of it as Angus leans up against her, the Vixen fidgeting as she returns the lean and follows his pointing with a nod. "Right... Right... So, keep mindin' my manners an' all." She says this more to herself before giving a improved curtsy to Rahn. "G'day sir." She says in greeting before doing the same for the approaching parrot, not realizing her and angus were still leaning on each other when he approached and the implications. Her ears flicker gently as she listens in on the folks talking about the statue, idly looking back to it once more as she let out a slight hm sound. "... Wonderin' if'n they didn't make the whole thing, 'cause they never right an' saw it..."

Siyu glances at Rahn, "Well at least there's only one Levithan, not like you're going to run into 5." he offers with a gentle pat to the rhino's side. The short rodent glances and sees who's coming up over towards Angus, tilting his head a bit. But nothing saying anything. Not his buisness yet.

Angus pats Kalt on the shoulder a bit as he nods, regarding the stattue curiously. "...I hope to never encounter that creature." He murmurs aloud, before he is greeted boy the Parrot. "Ah, good evening Jimme." He greets as he gives a half bow to them. "I am doing rather well to be honest, how are you?" He did not think he would have to actually strike up small talk, but it seems he was actually roped into it..

Rahn leans down a little to Siyu. "Who is Angus's lady friend," he says quietly. Well, quietly for Rahn. Even whispering, his deep voice carries further than he might like. "I don't think I have met her before," he rumbles.

The parrot smiles and says "Well fine myself, but I do have a problem. Maybe you'll help me out?" he asks with a wider smile. "I've got quite a few contracts with the strongheart house, you know what don't you? Well maybe you'd be interested, I have a little surplus and you know it's good stuff. Weapons, cold, hard, deadly." He looks to Angus for any signs of interest. A few people murmer and point to Angus and Kalt, a little gossip going here and there. A woman approaches Kalt with a drink in hand, a little flush she is, well dressed. The hagfish eyes Siyu and smiles. "Hello there! How are you today?" she says, when a opening in conversation pops up.

Kalt flicks her ears slightly more as she looks around before smiling to Siyu. "I know, ain't too terrible if'n we just got one runnin' round to worry'bout." She nods to herself before she begins to look at the crowd, ears pinning some from the pointing before she clears her throat and looks to Jimme, blinking as he's talking about weapons... This snags her attention easily, helping her to not focus on the gossipers.

Angus blinks a little in surprise at the offer. "Cold, hard steel blades? We could always use more swords for our new recruits to learn on yes, would you like to set something up?" He offers as he tries to keep up with the whispering, and who is pointing at whom as his ears flick and looks down to Kalt, squeezing her arm gently before letting her go to focus more on Jimme.

Siyu glances back up at Rahn, "Oh it's...ahem, that's Kalt, she's part of the Solacious House Guard." he grins a bit at the Rhino though, ear to ear, correctly identifying Kalt, but still feeling slightly vindicated. He is suddenly brought out of his thoughts by the Hagfish? A Hagfish? Oh my. He smiles and bows his head, his hair whisping around his head, "Greetings and salutations. I am Gang Xi Siyu."

Oh. Society. Oh no. Rahn takes a little step back, almost like he is trying to hide behind Siyu. Maybe if he is fortunate, everyone will think that he is the little merchant's body guard and will ignore him. Creators forbid the socially inept priest should get drawn into conversation! Rahn rubs a finger along his engraved gorget.

Jimme grins and nods. "Why I bet that would be profitable for both of us. Would you like to discuss it elsewhere, perhaps? I see you have a elegant flower witht you, I wouldn't want to keep you from tending to it too long." he says with a happy tone. "Just a time and a place, we can talk about it then and there if you like." he offers. The hagfish takes another drink of wine, emptying it before she looks at it a little sadly. She then perks up and smiles. "Why what a charming name, I'm Glaydia Sorlu, I run a high end jewlers." she says as she moves a little closer to the small rodent. "You're quite handsome, oh tell me your secret." she teases as she does so. Rold comes bouncing back in as a few guards take up the doors, slapping backs occasionally and offering smiles and mirth where he can. He moves towards the center of the room and says "Let the viewing begin!" as he raises his hand, and as he does a few workers begin declothing various works of art. A chair of iron, dragons coiling the legs and back, a statue of the good king, and a fine painting of red and browns depicting a rather heated battle, among other things.

Kalt blinks as she's let go and glances around for a few moments, feeling like she was standing on mossy stone with only a twig at the moment as she purses her lips and thinks for a moment before scooting slightly to move closer to Rhan as she dips her head and offers her hand. "Erm, hey there, M'Kalt... You're lookin' like a friend of Siyu's an' all yeah?" She blinks somewhat as Rold comes bursting in, blinking some as the art was unvieled and she takes a few steps back to Angus... Though is still close enough for conversation with Rahn thankfully as she glances between all the pieces with eyes that say '... art'.

Angus cocks an eyebrow as he smiles. "Yes, it could be profitable for both of us." He answers as he makes a mental note to have someone come along to make sure this steel Jimme sells is as good as he says. "As for my elegant flower I do not believe she needs tending to, her thorns are long enough to prick any that wish to try and grab her." He counters as he looks over to the art that is being revealed, clapping softly in appreciation at the creations of Rold.

Siyu is left with a Rhino standing behind him, looking really. But...oh dear, is the woman drunk? He's not quite sure what to do but be polite, "Ahem, oh, why thank you. Heh, I don't often get Handsome, pretty, beautiful yes, but not handsome, I'm glad you think so." he offers with another smile and a bow, "My...secret? I am unsure what you mean..." he mummers as he'll politely converse. Giving a glance back up towards Rold as he unveils art, seeing if anything may catch his eye.

Rahn reaches out and gives Kalt's extended hand a firm shake with his enormous, meaty fist. "A pleasure, Kalt," he rumbles in his deep, booming voice, "I'm Rahn." The rhino looks sidelong at the being accosting Siyu, ready to intervene if necessary. He looks around at the unveiled works of art. "Did our host make all of these pieces?" he asks. The Walrus had not struck him as much of an artist. Most of these things were far too large and gaudy to be of any real interest to the austere rhino.

At the warehouse doors approaches a badger, dressed casually for a party in his best orange vest, halfway buttoned and a pair of tight black trousers. On his back is a guitar slung across his body by a wide decorative strap. Just below the guitar on his back is his travel pack, a purple and green hat's brim sticking out from it a bit, as he still finds the puzzler's pimp hat a bit too gaudy to wear. ANYHOW! Parties aren't usually Cedric's fort, but he's decided to make an attempt, for once, to socialize with others, trying to discard his nervousness as he makes his fashionably late entrance to the party. He feels somewhat uncomfortable without all of his heavy armor, like... people can actually see his face! He stops by the drinks section of the table and helps himself to a quick drink to help him relax, and takes a few deep breaths, casting off the rest of his anxiety. After he feels more relaxed, the Graceful Clan badger walks slightly more confidently towards the rest of the beings gathered, with a friendly wave, in an attempt to immerse himself into the festivities and view the works of art currently being unveiled.

Selena makes her way in behind the badger, perhaps a little underdressed for the occasion - but at least not in her more casual attire. Rather, a long green dress, embroidered in a similar manner to her normal trousers and blouse, a pair of small earrings and her pendant. Perhaps oddly, her bag isn't present - perhaps saying something of her intentions at the gathering, though she does gravitate towards the familiar faces of Angus, Kalt and Cedric.

The crowds disperse to look over the various revealed arts, oohs and ahhs filling the air. As two newcomers walk in Rold spots them and rushes over towards Selena first. He smiles and offers his hand. "Hey did you hear the one about the short clanned failed merchant?" he says with a grin before waiting a moment. "He shut down because he always came up short." he finishes with a hearty laugh and a smile. "I'm glad you could make it, I never forget a face! I hope you enjoy the art!" he says, with or without a handshake before he bows out to go give Cedric the same treatment. The hagfish giggles. "Why your secret to being so attractive." She makes eyes at Siyu. "My look at this one!" says the crowd as they point to what seems to be a very simple piece of art. It is a sword, but due to it's artists intent or a lack of skill the statue looks rather rounded, almost childish.

Kalt smirks slightly at Angus' words, offering a gentle shrug to Rahn. "Dunno really... Figurin' it's stuff he went out an' gathered up an' all. Cause the thing's be lookin' different an' all, an' I remember hearin' 'bout how all artists do different things an' such." She nods to herself, before smiling. "Can't go tellin' crap 'bout 'em though, if'n they were swords an' armor an' such I'd be right as fallin' rain to go speakin' my piece on 'em." Turning slightly as she sees Selena, offering a slight curtsy in her own dress with improved grace. She's learning! She quickly follows the crowd's pointing and blinks at the childish sword. Musing to herself without thrinking really then. "... Well I'm half thinkin' they should'a just put a real sword up."

Angus smiles as it seems Jimme was done speaking to him, allowing him to slip away quietly to get away from them! He spots Selena, giving them a wave in greeting before he walks over to Rahn to greet them properly. "Good evening Rahn, I apologize for not giving you a proper greeting earliy, was caught up in smalltalk." He smiles soflt to the rhino, waving to Cedric in greeting as he trys hard not to snort in amusment at Kalt's assumption of the art.

Siyu blushes some, turning pink, "No secret, just...regular bathing I suppose. Wait is he being hit on by the hagfish? His eyes glance up and down real quick, just a quick look, before glancing back at the art. Oh dear, is he in trouble?

Rahn nods and greets Angus, "Hello Angus, would you excuse me for a moment?" Seeing Siyu's distress, he walks over and scoops up the little rodent and wrapping him in his enormous arms. "Siyu!" he rumbles loudly, "How can you ignore me like that? Didn't YOU invite ME to this? Tell me about all the artwork." The rhino shoots a bright, white grin at Siyu's would be suitor. "I'm sorry," he says, perching the little kangaroo rat on his shoulder "I'm Rahn, have we met?"

Cedric gives Rold a polite chuckle. The sort of polite chuckle where it's almost palpable that the person is only expressing amusement out of obligation. Hopefully the... host? He's not sure. Hopefully Rold doesn't pick up on it before he excuses himself to join the other familiar faces. "Hey there!" the badger says to Angus and Selena mostly, but gives a friendly nod of acknowledgement to the others he doesn't quite know. "Hello Selena. You're looking well. It's been a while." he says to the wolfess with as much of a smile as he can muster, though it doesn't seem to be unfriendly, just a bit forced as he's not accustomed to actually smiling. He turns his attention to the sword statue and tilts his head to the right as he appraises it. Not that he knows much about art, but... it really doesn't seem like it'd be a useful sort of sword.

Selena rubs her arm a little awkwardly as eyes fall on her. "And hello to you as well, Rold. Still leading with the same joke, though? Cedric, it's good to see you as well. What've you been up to the last few months?" she sighs, shaking her head amusedly, murmuring something or another to Cedric before too far into the crowd, waving back to Angus with a smile.

Reaching the foxes as Rahn departs, the wolfess gives the latter an odd look. "Angus, Kalt. It's good to see you both." she greets, stifling a chuckle at the statue. "I'll admit I'm more fond of realism than... This kind of statue isn't my thing." She notes.

The hagfish looks discouraged, but says "Oh no you don't look familiar. I was having a lovely chat with your friend here! Excuse me, Gang Xi.." she says as she wobbles slightly. "Could you be a charmer and introduce me to your strong friend here?" she asks as she smiles. The sword is outright purchased by a fire ant. "2,000,000 crowns for "Child's Aspiration"" he says boldly as Rold smiles and nods. "That sounds fine doesn't it? Come see me and we'll arrange pickup." A antelope looks to the murmering group and points to the good king's statue when the word realism comes up. "It looks like the real thing was turned to stone." she says in amusement.

Kalt blinks and looks to Selena with a smile as she shrugs. "Evenin' Selena. I'm feelin' much the same 'bout it, figurin' if they just went an' bought the sword this folk were workin' from, they'd be havin' a better thing... An' functional too." She nods to herself, deciding she made a good art critic. Though when said stone is bought for two million crowns, Kalt's jaw literally drops. The Vixen just staring at the piece with a mixture of being dumbfound, and a new great immolating sense of hate. "T-Two million crowns!? You could go an' damn near build a garrison with two bloody damned million crowns!" She exclaims, her voice thankfully kept at the volume appropriate for addressing the nearby group of friends.

Angus gives Rahn a nod. "No worries, go help Siyu." He gives Rahn a smile as he looks over the room, turning to greet Cedric with a shrug. "It's art. Something I do not understand myself to be honest." He gives the badger a smile before turning to greet Selena. "Good evening." He turns to see who had bought the statue, reaching out to tap Kalt on the shoulder as she gets a little to worked up about the price it was sold for. "Now now, no need for that. If they wish to waste their money instead of using it to help others that is none of our concern." At the mention of the kings statue he turns to regard to, moving closer to study it in more detail.

Rahn makes sure that Siyu is safely situated and out of the strange woman's reach. "Another time, perhaps," he says gently, "It would be a shame to miss the art show, after all Ma'am." The tall rhino stumps over to where the others are gathered around the statue of the king. Again, something he had never seen and could make no comment on. Though it was a very nice statue. Rahn takes a quick glance around to see if the inebriated hagfish was following him.

The Badger shrugs his shoulders with a more genuine chuckle to Selena for some reason before speaking. "Being a mountain hermit." Cedric answers her question without hesitation or any indication of joking as though it's not at all a strange answer. "I just wanted to be alone for a while." he admits, looking away for a moment as he walks near Selena towards the foxes. "But that gets kind of borin' after a while so, here I am." he adds. The badger nods to Angus in reply. "Yeah, I don't understand it myself, really..." he says, returning the shrug. His attention is caught when the art is sold for such a large amount and he whispers a little incredulously, "2,000,000 crowns... really?" and shakes his head sadly. "What world are these people from?" he asks no one in particular. The badger nods to Rahn and Siyu as they approach, before glancing over the statue of the king. "Hmm... this one seems to be made by a more experienced sculptor..." Cedric muses, mostly to himself.

Selena balks a little at the numbers given, shaking her head at Kalt's outburst. "As strange as it is, it's probably better to not be so loud." She notes quietly. "I don't understand why people seem to think spending so much money on decoration is a good thing beyond a certain point. I'd rather spend my crown on useful things. And Cedric - you mean it's by a sculptor." She jokes back to the badger. "It's good to have you back though."

The statue is stunning, unflawwed and painstakingly detailed, down to the tinyiest bit of his clothing. The good king truely looks regal in this depiction. The hagfish stumbles a bit before she leans against a wall and stands alone for a while, sighing once or twice. Someone close to Kalt turns and bawks at her, giving her a face that suggests she's disgusted by her implications. "That was made by a young artist just before he died going out into a petty war, show your respect you cur. He never had time to perfect his work, but perhaps the idea of the art is lost on someone like you." The female shrew is dressed rather elegantly, but has a snobbish demeanor about her. She doesn't seem to expect an answer from Kalt, just watches her for a reaction. The outburst otherwise draws little interest, as everyone looks about happily.

Kalt shuts her jaw and nods to Angus slightly, working to once again remember her good graces a sshe smiles to Selena. "I dunno. Ain't like I go runnin' round with that kinda money." Her attention turning to the statue to admire it, before quickly snapping over to the shrew as she narrowed her eyes slightly and lowered her voice down enough so just the shrew could hear it. "If'n the reason you're goin' off buyin' it is cause he were killed in a pointless war, then I got two brother's buried, an' ain't never seen a lick of crown cause they once started learnin' stuff." She huffs then and turns away from the shrew, looking rather indignant herself as she approaches her way to Angus' side once more and goes to admire the statue. "... You figurin' they used him sittin' there for this, or they go basin' it from a picture?"

Angus clasps his hands in front of him, tails flicking silently as he looks over the statue. "If it was created by earth magic it might of been done while he was sitting there posing for the statue." He mutters in turn, turning to look at Kalt, before his gaze switches to the shrew, then to the statue once more. "I'm curious as to who created this masterpiece."

Rahn visage darkens when he hears the explanation of the unfinished sword piece. "Scavengers," he mutters under his breath, "Getting vicarious thrills." It's all the rhino can do to keep himself from spitting. If he weren't a representative of the Church, he might have. He gently lifts Siyu from his shoulders and sets his little friend down to go about his business, now that the drunk woman was gone. He turns his attention back to the statue with the others.

Cedric chuckles at Selena's comment, raising a hand to his mouth to try and stifle it. For what it's worth, Cedric's expression has changed a little from being discerning and judgemental to one of mild shame as he begins to realize how inappropriate he's being, after overhearing the explanation of the previous piece's artist. "We should probably tone it down just a bit." the badger admits in a lowered voice. Then again, the artist isn't seeing any profits from the sale so... Cedric raises an eyebrow. "Well... I hope a large portion of the proceeds are going towards some sort of charity for war victims." he says, though somehow he's fairly certain that no such donations are being made from the sale.

Selena nods back to Kalt. "It sounds like they're trying to buy sentimentality if that's what makes the piece worth money if you asked me." She grumbles, stretching a little. "The most realistic sculptures are usually done from a live example and several pictures for later. The method of sculpting doesn't actually change the kind of references one uses." She replies, tapping her nose with a knowing smile before Cedric suggests toning her speech down. "No. If I can tell a whole theatre full of beings that creators are irrelevant to spirits, I feel safe speaking my mind here." She replies simply, turning to the snooty patron. "But one would hope if you cared so much about the deaths of those in the war, you'd donate some of your evidently considerable wealth to them rather than extoll their virtues for them, hmm?"

The shrew shakes her head. "A small base price of everything goes to someone other than Rold, everyone knwos that..." before she whispers something to Kalt and then struts off towards the statue of the Good King. At the questioning thrown out by Angus and others a molerat turns to answer the noble. "They say he's got the mind of a trap, and he has met with the king only once. He does better and better every year, more and more details appear on these things based on that one meeting."The party seems to be dying down as folks are purchasing art and moving towards more socializing, but quite a well to do is still going on in the warehouse.

Kalt nods gently as she continues to look at the statue, fiddling with her metal bracelets with a smile. "If'n he's got that much of a memory, they'd be right good in court an' such I'd be thinkin'." She flicks her ears as she listens to the shrews continuation with a slight smile. "Well that's good workin' by Rold. Makin' me like him more." She ponders for a few moments before looking to Angus. "Where you thinkin' the artist went runnin' off to? I'd--" she stops as she listens to the shrew's whisper, teeth clenching and a nice low growl coming from her as she watches the shrew with murderous intent... Honestly making it seem that not bringing weapons was the best decision she made this night!

Angus just stands there silently as he looks over the statue. "It's an intresting piece, to say the least." His ears perk up as hehears Kalt's growl, and he wraps his arm around hers to pull her close as he leans in to whisper in her ear before standing up straight. "Kalt, would you like to go see the rest of the art?" He asks calmly as he turns to regard the others. "I do have to agree with Cedric, we do not want to upset the...delicate feelings of these here nobles. They might actually have to care."

Rahn raises a brow at the interaction between Kalt and the unfamiliar shrew. "It is the way of the weak to belittle the great," he recites, as if it is some sort of mantra, then turns his attention to the collection of art and artifacts. The priestly rhino finds his eye caught by a small wooden carving of some sort of. . . well, he isn't sure, but the shape seems familiar, like he might have seen it somewhere before. "What are you?" the rhino asks the small totem.

Cedric just nods in response to Selena. "Of course. I wouldn't expect anything else." he says with a grin, before chuckling at Angus' statement. "That's... not really something I'd expect to hear directly from a noble." he says. Afterwards, he starts to look around at other pieces, but doesn't stray too far from the group. "They sure have a lot of interestin' stuff here... I'm pretty sure I could probably make some money if I tried my hand at some earth magic statues..." he muses aloud to himself. If all it takes is some earth magic and a memory like a sieve...

Selena tsks quietly as the shrew walks off, looking back at Kalt. "Whatever they said, keep in mind that over-entitled beings have opinions that are rarely worth your time. As obnoxious as some may be. Angus has earned his respect. I can agree with the sentiment, Rahn, but that phrase can be used in any number of ways." That said, she sighs. "I have to be off, though. I promised a student I'd meet up with them to speak about a dissertation. Good luck if you do try, Cedric. Angus, Kalt, I'll see you later."

The rhino is greeted by a familiar walrus, who smiles. "Why that is a carving of a creator ship!" he says with a grin. "It's a real sight isn't it? Marvels in person, I didn't get to see it but I did get to do a pilgrimage at one point before.... well you know." he says with a rather sad tone. The party dies down a bit more.

Kalt calms down and seems to avert the stabbing gaze from the shrew as she nods to Angus and Selena. "Right then, go takin' care of yourself Selena." She offers the woman a smile before coming to look at Angus' arm wrapped around her as she nods to him. "I uh... Yeah, art an' such... It'll be good to look at... He's lookin' like he found a right good one?" She motions over to Rhan and Rold.

Rahn stares reverently at the little carving. "This is a creator vessel?" he asks in wonder. "I did not get to see the ship when they visited us," he says, "And I have never seen something like this intact." The rhino looks to the walrus, "Is that really what it looked like?"

Angus gives Cedric a smile. "I've never managed to mesh well with the rest of the beings that believe they have the right to call themselves nobles while they turn a blind eye to war, and the suffering of beings around them. It's why I do not enjoy art." He comments, his voice becoming a little more dry and uncaring as he nods to Kalt and pats her on the arm, ans he gives the shrew a cold, hard, glare. "Well whenever you wish to leave I can escort you back to the manor, and take care Selena." He murmurs in departing with the wolfess as he looks over the rest of the art.

Siyu managed to get off the sudden rush of blood to his head from the change in altitude, wait where is he? The silk clad rodent looking left...and right...why is everything so high. He wiggles his hips and looks down, oh he's on a rhino shoulder!" Hey...Hey Rahn...can you please put me down..." he whispers shly and embaressed.

Rahn looks away from the totem for a moment. "Oh! Sorry, Siyu!" he rumbles, setting his friend back on the ground.

"Hmm... The art wouldn't be so bad without the... 'experience' it comes with." Cedric replies to Angus. "The nobles purchasing it as though it represents social status or something." he says with a shrug. He waves to Selena. "Ah... alright then! Take care. Hope to see you around again! I'm pretty sure I will, though." he chuckles. Gifted have a way of running into each other consistently.

The walrus says "Of course! They did visit after all. Are you interested in this piece? I'm sure we can work something out, if you'd like." he says. The party is breaking down to the few serious buyers, the food being cleared up and the room being cleaned slightly.

Kalt contemplates for a moment before looking to Angus as she nods slightly and gives a slight smile. "I uh... Yeah. That'd be good. Was a good party though, really." She fidgets slightly before giving a nod over to Siyu as she stayed leaning against him without really thinking about it.

Angus gives Kalt a nod as he starts heading for the front door. "I think that would be best honestly." He gives Cedric, Rahn, and Siyu a smile. "It was nice seeing you all again, but I think it might be best if I take this one back to the manor to cool down." He tips his hat, his smile growing a little as he heads for the door

Siyu nods his head and he smiles a bit, "Thank you Rahn, I'm feeling a little light here. Prehaps I should head out for some food or drink...have you eaten today?" he inquires of the large fellow.

Rahn contemplates the little carving. "I haven't got much money," he says, "But I would love to have this little totem, perhaps we could work something out?" The rhino turns to Siyu, "That sounds wonderful Siyu," he says, "Just give me a moment to finish up here."

Siyu blinks a little bit, "The totem." he looks at it and up to the walrus, "you like it Rahn?" he asks, "How much?" he inquires

Cedric gives a slight bow to the others. "Seems to be dying down a bit here, so I'll take my leave... nice to meet you." he says to the others and heads off towards the exit. But not before sneaking another drink or two from the table.

The walrus nods and plans out something with Rahn, smiling all the while as the party ends. The warehouse is quickly reconverted to its working state and the art shipped out to it's agreed upon destinations.
