Infront of the Solacious Manor stands a Wolfess, panting hard, daggers in her hands as she looks down a Rhino and a large Bull. They laugh at her, "Little girl, The Solacious are very busy today, come back for an audiance some other time, now, stop fighting and let us take you in." Angel shakes her head and looks to the door again as they both close in on her for another strike! Left dagger up to parry the Rhino's sword, side step left to avoid the spear of the Bull. She seems to be doing fairly well, but there is blood dripping from her face, both arms, and there is a gapping wound in her left leg. As she paces them, she swings her right dagger as if to cut through the Rhino's spine, but draws it back short, not even leaving a mark on him, Angus' command to not hurt people overriding long practiced instincts. "Come now, stop this and we will be gentle." They make for another pass at her, both daggers to move the spear out of the way, roll right after to... TOO SLOW, the sword connects to her left shoulder with a yelp, and she leaps forward slightly, tumbling away before another strike can be made.
Amelia pushes her way through the crowd, frantically waving her staff around. "No, no, stop! Everyone!" She tries to plant herself near Angel. "Stop the fighting. She is with Angus Solacious." The canine leans on her staff, out of breath from her run. "What is going on here?"
On his typical afternoon walks, Dio strolls through the city, a bit curious as to how the Solacious manor was doing. It's been a few days since he last visited the manor after all. Peering through the gate, he manages to catch some of the fight, along with Amelia, and rushes in without regard for consequence. "Whoa there," he shouts. "Gettin' awfully violent with the poor lass. Just grab 'er so we can talk instead of the stabbin'."
Lidiya had been returning home after a day of breaking things. Can't get rusty in damaging property value and beating up cultsits. Spotting the fight on her way by, ignoring the fact that it's outside of some snooty noble's house, she looks for something to bang on so she can find a way to place bets. She rubs her chin after knocking on the wall didn't work well enough and using earth math would probably break things that she'd actually have to pay for. At the woman's words, she scowls. That's the one that shoots random sorts right? Well, maybe colateral damage won't be so bad. She raises her foot and prepares to stomp down in her usual way of doing the knocking everything over thing, but stops just shy at Dio's words. And the realization she might still have to pay for things after all.
Having been leaving the manor at the time, Ictus blinks at the fight and shakes his head, before he looks to the guards and calls out, "Stand down, she won't hurt anyone." then he looks to Angel curiously, "Angel... What is going on here?"
Sveta had been on her way back from the beach when there was Angel, being accosted by two of the Solacious guards right outside the door...fearing the worst and seeing everyone else, she steps up despite knowing Angel's animosity towards her.
Angel is up after her tumble, but limps lightly, her left leg. "Ignore the pain.. there is only your mission and your mark." she says to herself and they make for another pass at her, "Sorry Lord Ictus, but no one is to bother those in the manor today, and she refuses to leave. She said she was with Lord Angus as well, but we have our orders." they say. Slight hop right, avoid the spear, duck down to, NO, Amelia standing near her, that would let the sword hit her! Both daggers, block instead, but that leaves her guard open to take a left cross to her muzzle. Her world starts spinning and she is sent to the ground, "Have to warn.... My Lord..." she says, struggling to get up a moment before darkness takes her. "We'll take care of her now Lord Ictus. If she hadn't of struggled, we could have ended this without blood sheed." they say, approching the down'd wolfess.
Ictus sighs and grumbles something about stubborn guards before he shakes his head, "Did she say why she was here? Other than to see Angus I assume?" he looks to Angel as he moves over once she is down, "I'll take responsibility for her." as he tries to lift her up himself before looking to Amelia, "Are you ok?"
Dio notices a blow heading straight for Amelia and attempts to push her down to the ground! However, he stops in his tracks as Angel gets in the way a takes the blow for her. "Watch where yer swingin' those things," he shouts, slowly approaching the guards and looking upon the hurt wolfess. "Did you hear that lads? Sounds like she 'ad a message to deliver. Someone get some of those potions and fix 'er up. She was hellbent on deliverin' it, so it must be important."
Amelia glares and stands over Angel. "I said enough! From all three of you! This is absurd." She does allow Ictus to get near her, however. "I'm fine. Thanks to Angel, at least." The scowl is turned back towards the guards again. "Fortunately for everyone involved."
"What on Promise..." Sveta murmurs as Angel goes down. Familiar faces make themselves known to her - Amelia, Ictus, Dio..."Damn you, Angus, if you're responsible for this..." she steps forward to Angel, and looks to Ictus. "Lord Ictus Solacious, maybe I can help. I've some skill in medicine..." Realising something, Sveta hurriedly pats down her pockets and curses. "Does anyone have any field medicines on them? Tinctures? Ointments? Bandages? So much as a dulling potion? That one on her leg's dangerously close to her femoral artery. Come on!"
Still out cold, the wolfess is up on Ictus' shoulder and groans, still not aware, "That... hurts..." she says, "Daddy... don't... it hurts.." The guards move to block Ictus' path though, "I'm sorry Lord Ictus, but we can't let non-house guests into the manor, we have our orders." They say and look determined to follow them. "We have no collateral damage, but she will need a healer, the Saints Square should have many." They say, almost coldly. "We are sorry that we had to get so rough, please, forgive us, but you can't bring her in here."
"Orders from who exactly," Dio questions, cocking his head to the side slightly. "I don't know too much about yer family, but what orders are THIS important? Or is that a regular thing here..." After thinking for a bit, he looks towards Ictus and begins walking over to him. "You can go inside if ya want. We'll take care of Angel best we can."
Amelia adjusts her glasses and shakes her head. "If we can get her patched up and awake, maybe she can tell Ictus, and Ictus can carry the message?" She looks towards Sveta. "I do have some medicine, yes... It's not the best, but maybe you can do something with it?" She digs around in her robe-coat pockets.
Lidiya steps up to the gates, then looks between the various sorts gathered. Nobility doesn't really matter to her and it's not like they know her face. She looks at the two guards, the injured person, the walls, the desire to break something and grins, reaching behind her to heft her hammer to her hands, resting it on her shoulder. Unfortunately she can't give warning. Fortunately a woman with a hammer at the gates is there. There /is/ a Solacious here. She waves at him, waves her hammer around, then gestures at the guards and tilts her head.
Ictus hmms? at the guards and nods at that and sighs, "Very well... Who gave you your orders though?" he ponders that a bit and nods to Sveta as Amelia hands over the medicine, "Thanks, I'd like to get her up as quickly as possible. I'm curious as to why she was so worked up."
Ictus hmms? at the guards and nods at that and sighs, "Very well... Who gave you your orders though?" he ponders that a bit and nods to Sveta as Amelia hands over the medicine, "Thanks, I'd like to get her up as quickly as possible. I'm curious as to why she was so worked up." he looks to Lidya and shakes his head with a frown, "Don't do anything stupid Lidiya." he frowns as he gently lays Angel down on the ground for Sveta to tend
Angel mumbles again, but goes completely out as her blood pressure drops, dyeing Ictus' clothes a new coat of red. The guards look over to Lidiya and ready their own weapons, "Stop, none may pass." they say to her, then one looks to Dio. He looks over to his fellow guard, who nods to him, "Orders by .... The head of the house himself, none may enter, they are... going through offical records, and don't want any eyes on them. On the ground now, Angel's breathing is slow and labored....
Lidiya glares at Ictus and shakes her hammer at him now. She's not doing anything stupid, just wreckless and she draws a clear distinction. At the guard's reaction to her, she laughs, a very faint wheezing sound at best, then draws a line on the ground with her foot and gestures at the guard. He said she couldn't just thump them, nothing about taunting them. The comment at the end, she shakes her hammer one last time for permission, unless the guard does something stupid, which she's mostly hoping for.
Sveta takes the field medicines from Amelia. "Lord Ictus, please set her down somewhere safe so I can tend to her. Yes, like that." She switches soul gems, waiting for the full minute to pass before beginning to work on Angel's wounds. She staunches the bleeding and applies various strong-smelling tinctures to the worst of Angel's injuries before taking needle and thread to them, concentrating furiously as she sutures the wounds. "There. That's all I can do, on short notice. She's still out cold, but she'll live."
Amelia folds her arms. "Can't you see this is important? Yet here you stand; roughing up an associate of one of your employers, denying another one of your employers, to his face, no less. The other priests shall hear of such belligerence, certainly. I'll be sure to include this in my reports. You are most certainly not being upstanding citizens and good samaritans!"
Ictus sighs as his clothes are dyed red with blood and winces at Angel, before stares at the guards as they lie to him and frowns, "What..." he shakes his head and glares at them as he looks them over, "There were no orders like that given..." his frown deepens as he scans them and shakes his head, "Who are you two?" he looks to Lidiya and nods in a 'go ahead' type gesture before he looks to Sveta and frowns
Sveta checks Angel one last time to make sure she's stabilised, and then sighs as she swaps her soul gems back. "Problems, Lord Ictus?"
Angel continues her labored breathing, head rolling this way and that. "Sister.... warn....." she mutters, still refusing to fail in her mission. As she talks though her muzzle gives some very grotesque sounds, more then one part fractured. The guards look to Lidiya and one of them takes a step forward, only to be stopped by the other! They look to Ictus and now they really start to sweet, "Lord Ictus.. we... the orders were given just this morning.. and.. you may not have..." they both break stance and try to run for it!
Amelia looks down at Angel. "I will." She straightens up and starts towards the manor, herself. "Someone stop those two from getting away!" She knows she wouldn't stand a chance at doing it herself, but that's not the first thing on her mind right now.
Lidiya watches the one coming forward and starts to wind up her hammer, then they stop and run the other way. She makes a rude gesture and grips her hammer in both hands and slams it into the ground. With a boom, the ground splinters, then the ground beneath the two fleeing 'guards' would begin to violently shake and splinter. If someone didn't know before, well, her specialty's known now. Before it's even finished, she then bounds after them, hammer across her shoulders as a counter balance to a.. rather weird run.
"Do you lads recall perhaps anythin' interestin' happenin' on this date? Besides that Yerita Heavyhoof bein' born and gettin' the irrigation setup" Dio looks down at the unconscious Angel and crouches down next to her as he watches Sveta clean up the wounds. "This lass is a curious one," he says, gently tapping Angel's face with a finger. "She saw somethin' and just immediately took off with air magic. We gotta wake 'er up somehow... If any of ya could get some cold water or somethin'. Maybe even give 'er a good bonk, just avoid that nasty blow she took there... Huh?" He looks towards the running guards. "What are ya runnin' for?" The shaking certainly catches his attention as he places his hands on the floor to hold his balance.
Chaos, outside the Solacious house? What in the name of the Creators was going on? Angus slams the front doors of the manor open as he quickly belts on his Rapier. "What in the name of the Creators is happening!" He snaps, only knowing bits and pieces that he had picked up from a few panicing servants as he storms out the front doors.
Sveta scowls at Dio's words, clearly frustrated by the limitations of her efforts. "If I could without risking her condition, my dear Lion of critical comments, I would have. Perhaps if we had some smelling salts...but they weren't in the kit Amelia had on her." She mumbles something about cheap goods never being reliable and tests Angel's bulk in a fireman's lift.
Ictus glares at the two as they run and chases after them as Lidiya chases as well, "Stop!" he growls as he pulls out his dagger and pins it to the fake guards throat after he tackles them, "Tell me what you what is going on, or I swear I'll kill you now."
Amelia reaches for the door, only to have it thrown open into her face, knocking her flat on her arse. "Dammit, another distraction?" She scrambles for her glasses, placing them back on her face. "Angus! We need you. Something... Bad is happening. Angel took off earlier, something about a warning. She tried to get to you, but a couple of guards stopped her, saying they weren't to be allowed in! Or any guests!" Her mouth is running wild, but she keeps her voice calm and clear. "I think they were imposters, but they're being dealt with. Something bad is happening. Angel is out cold, last I checked."
Angel moans again, "It hurts.... My... lord... sister..." and groans as she is picked up. The pair are shaken up a lot by the earth magics. Unable to keep their footing, they make easy targets for anyone able to catch up to them! And Ictus does, tackling them over. As they are pinned they look up to Ictus, but say nothing. Angel's weight is easily cared. "Warn..... My Lord..." she says again, poke poke poke by Dio.
Lidiya doesn't bother with a knife, she doesn't carry anything smaller than a bastard sword anyway. The second guard would find her foot on his chest and she seems to be lining her hammer up with his head like she were readying a golf swing. She winds back and grins cruelly behind her mask. It's not like she can question them anyway.
"Sorry about that, Bird of Trauma Ward," Dio says, rubbing at his mane. "Yer the doctor here after all, but if worst comes to worst..." The lion begins to think about why Angel would suddenly act the way she did, much a change of character just chagrining in and leaving in a huff. "Hmm," he whispers, tapping his chin before getting up and looking at the door. "Wait!" He shouts. "Angel was looking at the ocean when she left and said somethin'! What if there was somethin' comin' for us from the ocean and Angel wanted to warn us 'bout it?"
Angus stops in his tracks as soon as he realizes that he hit someone. "Oh, Amelia are you okay?" He turns to offer her a hand up, and blinks as he hears something happened to Angel and that she was warning him. "Wait what? Where is she now?" He turns, searching around before he notices Dio and Sveta, and walks over to them.
Sveta's eyes flash at the simple sight of Angus. "You! Look at...look at...this! Can you not even keep a pet safe, Angus Solacious? Is there no end to your..." She clicks her beak and draws herself straight up. "I will tolerate your presence. For now. Because it is unavoidable. And for your pet's sake. After what she's told me...I pity her. And I'm not sure if I pity you more."
Ictus growls low as they stay quiet and shakes his head, "Idiots." as he knocks one out, then looks to Lidiya, "Can you keep an eye on him?" as he drives his dagger into the others neck, before getting up ooc ...
Angel groans out her ears twisting a bit, slighty waking up, "My... Lord.... Sister..... Ass... E.. Eldr..." her jaw won't seat right and each word causes a spark of pain to shoot through her, barely able to say one sylible, let alone a full sentance. The Rhino is knocked cold, but the Bull still won't say anything. From inside the manor some crashing can be heard! The wound on Angel's shoulder drips a small bit from being hefted up by Sveta, but it is nothing serious.
Amelia pushes herself up with her staff and trails after Angus. "Do you have any idea what would be worth warning about? Cultists? Shadows?"
"Sister?" Dio looks over as Angus begins approaching them. "Glad yer here Fox-kit. Things 're goin' a bit crazy around 'ere. Or perhaps that's normal for the Slof-adciouis family..." He looks over to the down guards, happy they were able to handle them without too much effort. "We were at the beach with this wolfess 'ere and it seems like she saw somethin' on the ocean and took off in a hurry! Where's your sister," he questions, looking back at Angel and her continued sleeptalking.
Lidiya looks down at the bull and looks to Ictus, trying to remember if this one knows sign language like the rest. She swings the hammer, swinging wide, making sure the bull sees it going past, then she spins and slams it down between his legs while laughing that strange laugh again. Then the hammer slowly rises back up as she looks to adjust her aim.
Angus blinks. "I...wait, what? How is this...." Sighing he just shakes his head and walks over to them. "I don't know Amelia, i still have no idea what is going on." He glances at Sveta just slightly before he turns his attention to Angel. He then stiffens as he ehars Angels words. "Wait what...My sister.....Son of a. I think I might have an idea who is behind this..."
Something clicks inside Ictus' head as he hears Angels words and he pales a bit, "Mira..." He looks at inside the manor at the crash and dashes inside, "Take Angel inside!" is called back as an after thought while he dashes towards the sound
Sveta's furious expression turns a cold blank as she begins advancing to the manor's door. "Very well, Lord Ictus Solacious. I'll see what can be done for Angel here inside the manor - I'm sure some kind servant can give me directions, backed up with your name, of course. I'll rejoin you all later."
Amelia glances after Ictus and grips her staff tightly. If Mirana is in danger, she didn't really need to hear any more. She turns and sprints into the manor, as well, chasing after ictus.
"Very well then lass," Dio waves as he watches Sveta depart. "Good luck to ya. As fer you, Not a Lord... Perhaps a warning should be given' to the crown to watch the ocean if ya have any pull." The sound also catches the lion's interest as he turns around and runs in to join some of the others!
The Bull trembles a bit but still stay silent, something must be scaring him more then mutiliation and death. Angel slowly rouses, "Put... down..." she reaches up and grabs her jaw, forcing it back into place with a loud yelp, "Put.. me.. down... please..." she says laboredly. She moves her shoulder a bit, testing it, it doesn't seem too badly hurt, but her leg... Once inside Ictus and Amelia can see a figure running off toward a window and out it! A blur of speed, though he drops a note...
Angus just stands there, watching the chaos go by him before he turns to follow everyone else. He had an idea of who it could be, but it was only a vague one. "I'll see what I can do Dio, I'll probably have a messanger sent."
"No. I don't think I'm going to put you down. If something terrible is going to happen, then there's no way you're in any position to see it done. You may be suicidal in loving 'your lord' and his kin, but I won't have that happen. The Lord Ictus Solacious will settle matters, and just in case, I'll go to help once you're somewhere safe. Now be quiet and come along." Without further ado, Sveta strides up into the manor and demands of the nearest cowering servant the location of the house physician.
Dio sees a figure burst past the window and attempts to go after it! However, whatever it was, was much too far gone for anything to be done about it. "Damn," he murmurs under his breath before joining up with the others. "I think ya should send word /now/ fox-kit," he says, patting Angus on the shoulder. "If it's an invasion, the crown's gotta know immediately. Also, where is Mirana? It'd be best too find 'er quick as well."
Lidiya mutters and kicks the bull between the legs then tries to kick him in the head to knock him out. She's really not too good at the subtle thing. She stand up straight after and looks around, trying to figure out what exactly's going on now. Maybe she should pay a bit more attention.
Ictus growls more as he spots the figure sprinting away and shakes his head as he looks to Dio, "No, not an invasion yet..." he picks up the note to read quickly
Amelia pauses midway in the room, looking at the figure as it leaves, before turning her eyes to Ictus. "What's it say?" She glances over her shoulder. "I need to know how serious this is. If this is some kind of large scale conflict on the horizon, I need to include it in my reports to Shralesta. Where is Mirana?"
Dio watches as Ictus picks-up the mysterious note left by the figure, quite curious as to what it might say. "Hope that isn't some sort of ransom note," he mutters, looking around the room and straightning out his coat with a few tucks. "And what do you mean by 'yet', I must ask. It seems you fox-kits have an idea of what may be happenin'."
Angel struggles softly for a bit "Please... My Lord.. Tell her to ... put me down.. You.. don't understand.." she says as a servant points Sveta toward the triage room. Another reports to Dio, "you have need of a messanger?" says the cheetah. The guard groans loudly as he is kicked and battered! He grumbles loudly as he is knocked out. "Mirana..." says Angel, "F.. Find.. her.."
Issi possibly showing the worst timing, enters from the front door peeking around at the manor and the clustering of people gathered around. She gestures (What's happening here?)
Ictus stares at the note a second and shakes his head, "No... It's a bounty." he growls as he clenches the note in his hand, "We need to find Mira, now. I'll explain later." as he sprints back to the entrance
Angus nods to the servant and points to Dio. "I want you to listen to what he says, and report to the crown. As fast as possible." Turning to Sveta he frowns. "Angel you are going to the Triage, that is final. I am going to send a servant there with a pad of paper and something to write with, if you have anything that is important write it down and he will send it my way. You have done enough, thank you." Turning around he looks to his Cousin, before sprinting out the door.
"I gotcha fox-kit," Dio nods as he looks back at the cheetah with a very serious looking expression, a high change from his typical happy demeanor. "There's a high chance somethin's comin' towards us from the ocean as seen from the beach. Warn the navy 'n' army for any impendin' attacks, scan the ocean, and alert the crown. A lad named Lord Eldric was also mentioned. I'm sure you know what that means. Ya got it all, lad," he questions as he pats the cheetah on the shoulder.
Amelia adjusts her glasses and turns to dash after Ictus. "Does anyone know where she might be? I haven't not seen her in a few days..." She looks a little troubled. "What are they after her for?"
Lidiya looks around for a moment, then takes her time following along, pausing a moment to sign to the snake woman. Then she shrugs and picks up the pace a little at least. Though she does stop and use earth magic to entomb most of the body of the guard, leaving enough room to breath and move their head. A little. Easier that way when they're caged in, sort of.
Angel reaches out a hand to Angus, "No.. my lord... y... understand.. m.. house... proof!" she says but Angus is far too far gone to hear her straigned words. She is carried to the triage and given paper and some ink with a sharpened stick. She writes on it furiously and hands it to Sveta, "Lord Eldric is sailing in, I saw his ship. He will likely be addresssing the court here today on accusations of falsifying merchent records for the Debhar Merchant Company. I have proof in my house, of that an more! I could fly there and get it! Please let me go!"
Sveta shakes her head. "No. Do you truly love your lord?" She feels rotten at twisting the proverbial knife like this, but common sense and practicality wins in the end. "You said you would obey him, wouldn't you? Then obey him. Give me the location of this proof. I will get it and reconvene with them."
After saying his message, Dio turns around and heads out the door to join with the others, reaching into his coat to see if his... Whoops, it would seem he forgot about happened to his knife. With a shrug, he runs to join the others at the entrance.
Everyone is settling in for dinner at the inn, things are mostly quiet. In the center a pure black eye'd skunk plays some song, it sounds fast and furious on a harp. A few beings talk over some unusual ships arriving, "From Cliffside, what do they want?" "I hear someone is coming in to address the courts, what could they want?" "To demand more restatutions from the war I assume..."
Meanwhile Angel scribbles on some more paper and shows it to Sveta. It is a general layout of her house, and an X just infront of a dresser with the words "Pull up planks of wood, dig for 3 feet."
Ictus pants as he looks about the inn and frowns as he hurries upstairs, "Mira?" he calls out breathlessly once he is at the room and looks around the room once he gets the door open
Amelia leans on the wall near Ictus, perhaps even more out of breath than Ictus. Most likely. She's no athlete. "Is... Is she in there? Please say she is." She places her head on the wall, panting. "If we ran all this way and she's not here... I don't know how much more I can keep doing!"
Angus follows closely, but does take the time to stop and look around the Inn before he moves to stand next to the stairs. His arms crossed as he watches the crowd, there was no need for a massive amount of people running up the stairs in his opinion. So he might as well watch for potential attackers.
Lidiya doesn't fly, but she does run and she has an utter disregard for being polite so while she'll mostly dodge the crowd she'll just plow over whatever doesn't get out of her way or that she fails to dodge. Though there is a little voice asking why, she doesn't owe these people anything and they're not paying her..
Issi ends up back in the Inn, where she started... And where she should have stayed, if she wan't trying to do something today. Apparently that was a bad idea. She gestures to anyone, really, (Who or what would be brazen enough to cause trouble in the city?)
Dio runs into the inn right behind the others, looking about and listening to the various rumors and what not that flow around the bar. "Hello there," he shouts, not much caring to be polite. "Has anyone seen a Mirana the fox-kit around here?"
The people at the inn all look over to the people coming in, "Mirana? The Solacious Priest? No, I've not seen her." say a few, the others nod, or just get back to what they are doing. She isn't in her room either, the skunk continues to play but looks over to Angus and Ictus as they rush around. Someone gets up and starts walking toward the door though, after dropping some crown on the table.
Angus frowns as he notices someone getting up to leave, before he stands up himself tapping Dio on the shoulder as he moves to the front door to block anyone from leaving. "Alright!" he shots, giving a smile. "Since it seems that everyone here is having such a good time why not continue, drinks are on me!" He glances to the figure who had gotten up, and takes out his crown purse to throw at the Inn keeper.
Ictus blinks as he doesn't see Mira and frowns as he thinks a bit, "Where could she be?" he searches the room for any notes she, or anyone else, might have left while the others take care of the figure
Lidiya leans against the wall near the door and crosses her arms, just watching the situation.
After shouting, Dio feels a tapping sensation upon his shoulder and nods to Angus, putting the pieces together quite nicely. Along side Angus, the lion puts himself in front of the door, making it impossible for anyone to leave without going through him first. "Free drinks! You're much too kind." With a smile, he looks towards the skunk and gives her a wave, hoping the get her over towards him for a chat, and if not, she'd find leaving quite difficult.
Amelia stares at the empty room, figdeting nervously. "This isn't good. Why isn't she here? She wasn't in the manor, was she?" She paces around. "I haven't seen her in days. I hope she's alright and they didn't already get her."
There is a note on Mira's desk, something about helping out at the orphanage, then going shopping, heading to the woods to talk to Shaila again, then buying Ruby some nicer clothes, and that she would meet Ictus back in the manor tonight. Everyone in the inn gives a cheer and rush to the bar, save for two, who look like they have just been surrounded at a fair and don't have anymore tickets.
A crash, a bang, and then the door flies open with the pointed application of a boot heel. No, it's not anyone out to harm the group, but instead Sveta, her feather-flames cooling off as she stops manifesting her sacred family - she strides into the room, Angel's notes peering out of one of her jerkin's pockets. Her hands, on the other hand are filled with a large bag containing plenty of papers...and most of all, a severed head, neatly preserved with embalming fluid. Good thing she's wearing gloves, although they're plainly soiled despite the spells to keep them white and pristine. "Lord Ictus Solacious," she says, pressing the papers and notes into Ictus' hands, followed by the bag with the head. "Some items Angel wished for me to present to you. She claims...yes, she claims that Lord Eldric is sailing into Sweetwater to stand trial for charges of falsifying merchant records. Of course, I have little knowledge of court intrigue, what with being a simple commoner and all, but I'm sure you do."
Issi sits at the bar and takes out a pen amd paper, and starts writing, listening quietly to the chatter about the room. Maybe something will come in handy, since few seem to reply to her.
Angus smiles as he notices the two that don't rush to the bar. Glad that his plan actually worked, and hopes that he didn't just fall into a trap. Turning to Lidiya and Dio he smirks, and points at them. "Would you both be so kind as to grab those two? I would like to have a chat with them."
Lidiya scowls at Issi for a moment and makes a rude gesture towards her, then she looks to the figures pointed out. She could do the same trick, sort of, but she's sure breaking her drinking hole would be a bad thing. So she leans forward and makes her way over to the figure, clenching and unclenching her hand as she goes.
Feeling the door about to collide on his back, Dio hops out of the way and sees Sveta with an interesting bit of items. "Oh my," he murmurs, as he takes his place in front of the door once more and looks at the two remianing people not enjoying a free drink. As Lidiya goes for one figure, Dio goes for the other one with a smile. "Mind answerin' a few questions fer me?"
The pair that Angus indicates are quickly caught up, "What questions? We didn't do anything?" they both say in varous methods. The inn is very very busy and loud now! Drinks are being slammed together, people are getting very roudy and well, drunk on Angus' gift. "Why would you want to talk to us? What could you want with us?" they both. ask again, a raccoon and a skunk. The dark eyed skunk watches all this go on, and sighs.
Angus nods and smiles at both Dio and Lidiya. "Thank you both very much." Stepping away from whats left of the door he walks up to the dark eyed skunk, and crosses his arms. "Hello there Ashley, mind telling me what went on here. Also, did you see where Mirana went at all?"
Issi keeps herself quiet in her little flurry of papers and scribblings, writing down everyting she could possibly hear, as well as notes and equasions.
Dio takes a hold of the individual he was after, nothing too threatening or painful, but certainly something to keep them in their seat. "We're just wonderin' if you've seen a certain noble walk out of here recently. A pregnant and wide-hipped looking fox named Mirana. Maybe even she walked out with someone else? Now, it would be really unfortunate if you lied to us," he grins, squeezing his captive.
Ictus blinks at thet note and hmms, "Let's head to the orphanage then..." he blinks at Sveta and winces at that head, "I see..." looks to the head and winces more, as he looks for a scrap of paper to wright a quick note on, "Take this to the courts, they should let you in."
Amelia rubs her face as she leans against the wall. "Orphanage? Very well. Lead the way, Ictus. I will follow. I hope we're not too late."
Sveta mock-salutes Ictus and retrieves both the evidence and Ictus' letter of permission into her possession. "Very well, Lord Solacious. These will be delivered posthaste. Good luck in your search for the Lady Mirana Solacious. I shall be seeking you out as soon as I'm done."
Looking up Ashley answers while still playing, "Your sister? She headed out toward the Saints Square last I saw." She says without stopping, "And a lot of people have come in and out, a few up to her room, none looked too friendly. You aren't the only one looking for her Kitsune Warrior, so I'd hurry." she says and gets off the stool, "Now, I have a free drink coming to me." she says. The pair look to each other as the Skunk speaks, "Shut up!" And Ashley points to them, "Those two were the last ones to do so, they were a bit late." Meanwhile Ictus and Amelia head down the stairs.
Ictus nods to Amelia and Sveta and blinks as he spots the block at the door, "She should be at the Orphanage. I agree with Ashley, lets hurry." he looks at the two the others caught and shakes his head, he'll deal with them later as he rushes towards the orphanage
"Ah, thank you ver much Ashley." Well, at least we were getting somewhere. Turning around Angus smiled at the now captured skunk and raccoon. "Shall we bring them along with us? They would make excellent target practice for anyone trying to stop us." He then watches Ictus race off once more and starts to mutter. "Could of at least waited, Dio pass off one of the idiots to me, and would you mind accompanying me with the other one Lidiya? I want to go check to see if Dio's message got through, and want to personally ask these two questions." Turning his head he tries to get Issi's attention, as she might be of some help in...'persuading' these two to talk.
"Oh?" Dio looks at Ashley and smiles. "Thank ya for the information, lass. I'll have to make it up to ya sometime." Looking down at his captive, he gives them a heavy squeeze before handing them off the Angus. "Good luck to ya, fox-kit. We'll get 'er back safe 'n' sound." The lion waves to the remaining people in the bar and sprints off to join the others at the orphanage.
Issi looks up at Angus, nodding. She takes her papers and pen with her as she gets up and ready to follow him.
Amelia pushes her glasses up and moves to follow Ictus. "I hope she's there. And I hope we get there before the others. I don't want a fight to break out there of all places!"
As the group splits up, a few heading to the orphange, the others head for some kind of interregaation, the ship gets closer and closer.
At the Orphanage, thins seem to be all normal, priests and priestess walking around, children playing, there is no sign of the maternal vixen though. A priestess walks up, a cobra, "Hello? Is there ssssomething I can help you with?" she asks Ictus and Amelia.
Ictus nods to Dio as he follows and looks at Amelia with a nod, "Yes, I hope so too." he blinks as there is no sigh of his beloved and nods to the cobra priestess, "Yes, has there been any sigh of Mirana here?"
Not far behind the others, Dio walks into the orphanage, wearing his biggest smile possible and looking at all the individuals playing about. "And if she has," he adds on, "When did she enter and leave? And has anyone else tried to ask for her?"
Angus grins a little to sharply as he forces the captives hands behind his back, and walks him out of the room at knife point. "Now, first we need to go check if Dio's letter was received. Then we find a nice quiet place to make you and your friend talk. One preferable where we can remove of any unwanted Evidence, if we have to. Unless you want to talk now, and save us the trouble?"
Amelia smiles to a few of the children before looking to the other priest. "Yes, we need to find Mirana. It is most urgent. If you have seen her, we would greatly appreciate it!"
The Snake Priestess nods, "Lady Mirana wassss here, sssshe left not long ago, heading towardssss the Market. SSssssomething about new clothesss. Sssshe issss getting big really, can't be much longer before there will be more foxesssss." she says with a slight giggle before tending to the children some more.
The skunk and Coon look at each other and both start talking at once, in a cocphany of voices. It causes quite the commotion and makes beings turn to look at Angus and anyone fallowing him.
Issi stands behind Angus, hood still over her eyes, yet still keeping her sights on the two being held by Angus. She doesn't say anything but she does gesture to Angus (You think they'll tell the truth?)
Ictus hmms at that and nods, "Alright thanks." he looks to the others and frowns, "Hopefully she's not in the woods by now..." as he heads towards the market, to Mira's tailor to be exact
"Both of you shut up or I swear I will cut out your tongues!" The fox cried viciously, glancing at the few beings that were now turning to them and smiling. "Lightbringer business, please. Go about your day." His head swivels towards Issi, and he nods in response. "Oh they will tell the truth, even if I have to beat it out of them. Now, if you two would be so kind. One at a Damn time." He growled a little, anger easily visible in his features as they continue to walk towards the Naval Offices.
"Clothes ya say," Dio listens, putting a hand to his chin as the snake speaks. "I remember seein' a few clothin' and tailor shops. Thank ya very much for the information, lass. I'll be back 'ere someday to help out when I can!" The lion waves to the children and snake and heads off towards the market with Ictus.
Amelia shakes her head. "Should we split up? I can check the foods, if needed..." She glances down at the gold ring on her arm. "I could ask Shaila, perhaps, if she'll answer me..."
At the Market and into the tailer shop... causing Mirana to screech loudly! "Ictus!! The blinds are closed for a reason!" she says, her tailor shooing people promplty! "No, Ictus can stay, but but the rest out out out!" she says, then to Ictus, "I was here to get something for Ruby, but he talked me into getting messured up for a new ballroom dress..." she says blushing.
The naval yard, and indeed Angus' message was recieved. "The only thing we see Sir is the ship carrying some Nobles from Cliffside, but we are on the look out. Who are these two? Do you need a brig to hold them in Sir?" Asks an otter. "The ship will be docking shortly."
Angus shakes his head. "No, I want that Ship boarded. And everyone on it detained BEFORE it gets to the docks. No one is allowed off that ship, and they aren't allowed to dock onto I say so, or the Good king himself is standing here yelling at me." He glares at the two he has captive, and all but throws them at the otter. "Why yes, thank you very much. Make sure they are nice and comfy, I will be along to speak with the shortly."
Ictus looks at Dio and nods, "She'd be at her tailor." he looks at Amelia and shakes his head, "No, I don't think splitting up again would be wise." when they reach the tailor he eeps and blinks at that, "I uh... Err, sorry Mira." he shakes his head though and looks around the shop, "Are you ok? Has anyone suspiscoius been around?"
Dio follows behind Ictus into the tailor shop, but stops dead cold in the doorway as he hears a feminine voice scream out. "O-oh my, lass..." The lion covers his eyes and hops backwards out of the store looking rather embarrassed. "Well, at least we know the lass is safe." With a sigh, he leans up against the store near the doorframe. "We've come to retrieve and protect ya, lass. Perhaps we should go to the navel yard 'n' see what's goin' on there after everything's secure."
Amelia blinks at and quickly averts her eyes. "Sorry, Mirana!" She quickly hurries away, but she doesn't go far. She stands by the door, intent on not letting anyone through. Unless they go through her. Which they might.
Issi scribbles down a few equasions, as she's likely to do, yet she labels the page (Use if needed-Bring a mage) and rolls it up to give to the Otter. She gestures to Angus (This might come in handy if they have one who can read it.)
Issi stops a minute, making a subtle switch under her cloak and takes a deep breath. After a minute of stillness she scribbles down a few equasions, as she's likely to do, yet she labels the page (Use if needed-Bring a mage) and rolls it up to give to the Otter. She gestures to Angus (This might come in handy if they have one who can read it.)
With a soft sigh Mira relaxes a bit. "No, I haven't noticed, but then again I've not been really watching Darling," she says, and lets the Tailor move her arms, legs, everything as he sees fit to messure her. Outside however a few figures are creeping about. Nothing too suspicious, but one can never be too careful. "Why do I need to be 'retireved and protected' though?" She asks. "Is something wrong dear?" she says looking slightly worried.
"Sir, you want them ALL detained? No one to step on the docks... How much athority do you think you have? How much do you think \I\ have?" The otter takes the paper and looks it over, "Alright.. but..how are we going to detain a ship full of foreign nobles without starting something? And I assume you have some proof or something for this? And even if you did, they have immunity on our shores."
Ictus nods at that as he listens to the others and sighs, "Mira... Lord Eldric seems to have placed a bounty on you..." he ponders though, "Why I am unsure... But it ends today, the bounty I mean." he peeks out the window and blinks at the group curiously
Angus smirks, that thought had crossed his mind. "Your correct they do have immunity. On our shores. And as for my athority, well. I am Angus Solacious, A decorated Corporal of the Lightbringers unit." Turning to Issi he signs back to her. (Thank you very much for your help, may I ask what your name is?) Giving Issi a smile he turns back to the Otter. "As for the reason why, there has been a threat on a nobles life. And we are detaining any and all boats that they could possibly use to evade capture, if they don't buy that. Tell them we found some illegal good already, and we want to search each ship before they dock. As for the proof, that is being brought to the courts right now. Now, are we done here?"
Issi nods gesturing to Angus (It is 1221.) She then gestures again, this time not to angus but to the Otter. And not sign language, a kind of Math, Air Magic.
Amelia leans over to poke Dio, lowering her voice. "Look at those ones, over there." She gestures subtly with her staff. "They look kind of... Like they don't belong, if you know what I mean."
Amelia keeps her back to the door, staff at the ready. "You might want to call the guards, or something. I don't much like this! I think they might try something." She squints from behind her glasses and pokes her head into the tailor. "Ictus, you may want to get ready for trouble."
Dio looks about the streets, noticing a very curious group of individuals, as if they were setting up for something. "I think we should get the lass out of here quickly," he says, poking his voice through the door. As he listens to Amelia speaks of an ambush, the lion nods and immedietly heads out to flag the nearest guard he can find. "Officer," he says, approaching the guard. "These individuals here," he points towards the suspicious people he had seen just a moment earlier. "Seem to be setting up for some dangerous activity. We even heard word of perhaps an ambush upon a noble nearby. Would you please investigate and perhaps send guard to that clothing shop?"
For her part Mirana is no slouch about this, she looks to the Collie messuring her up, "I'm sorry Eric, but this will have to wait." she says and gets behind a screen. She comes back out and has a small... device in her hand? She tunes the a dial on it and it can be heard making strange sounds. She pulls from a pocket of her work leathers another device, a single button on it. She presses it and, well, the sounds of heavy foot falls and more mechanical noises, "A bounty? Ictus darling, thank you... and.. Dio, Amelia too." seems she can take care of herself for the most part! However a few guards nod and walk over to the shop, detaining those around.
Back at the yard, the otter is pinned against the wall! "What the bloody hell! What are you doing? HELP! I'm under attack!" He screems out through the winds! Meanwhile... the ship pulls up to the docks.
Ictus looks to Amelia and nods at that as his hands go to his daggers, "Probably." as Mira gets her machines ready he smiles before he ducks out to greet the guards, "Thanks." he bows to the guards and ponders, "I'm going to head to the Noble's Lodge... See if I can contact a friend I have about this." now that he has time to think
"be quiet! If you are cleared of suspicion, and are innocent You will be compensated for this. Greatly." The Fox snapped back, giving Issi a smile. "Mind keeping him company while I great or guests?" Turning he starts walking down the docks, his hand on the guard of his Rapier as he waits for the Gangplank to be lowered. Right in front of him. "Greatings, and welcome to Sweetwater. Is Lady Sharia of the Wirefurs on board?"
Dio watches the guards descend upon the suspicious figures and chuckles lightly to himself. "Good work officers," he smiles, once more approaching the clothing store and observing Mira's vast array of... Things. A whole bunch of things. "Quite impressive, lass. Now then, I'll be goin' where the lass is in case protection's needed if ya don't mind, fox-kits."
Issi keeps the pressure on the otter, nodding to Angus, watching him leave. She glares at the otter, not trusting him at all. If he so much as shifts, she'll increase the pressure.
Amelia rubs her neck as she watches. "I'll uh. I'll stick with Mira, as well. O
Amelia rubs her neck as she watches. "I'll uh. I'll stick with Mira, as well. I'm no good elsewhere, and I'd prefer to make sure she remains safe with my own eyes. Can't have her getting hurt on me!"
In the tailor's shop, Mirana's Machines arrive and she is... exceptionally well guarded now. She steps out and joins, "Thank you all sweeties, now, what is this about bounties and Eldric?" she says, tapping her claw tips together, "Am I needed in Court?" She smiles as Amelia offers to stay with her, "Thank you sweetie, while we go, why don't I show you this, it is a fun little device." she points it to the ground and pulls the trigger. A nearly silent beam of light burns the stones below! "It will be ready again soon, don't worry." she says with a small giggle.
Back at the dock house the Otter's friends show up, "Sir! What is going on here?" asks a marvin, "You! Serpent, let him down!" A few hand crossbows are leveled at Issi, and from the only entrance/exit too!
At the ship, the plank is lowered and a pair of guards come down, "No, the Lady Sharia is not aboard, she has been working in Sweetwater for... about 2 months now, as a liasion. Now stand aside and let us off." Says an alligator.
Back to Ictus! He arrives at the Noble's Quarters without harm or hinderance.
Ictus hmms as he looks around for the lodge that Sharia said she'd be staying at, quickly informing her of what has been going on, "I must see to things with my cousin, but hurry to the courts if you need to see the proof." before he's off to the docks!
Issi cannot sign and cannot write, so she has to say something, and she does in an unmistakably Shadow's voice. "IF my suspiscions are unfounded then he will come to no harm. If you do try to fire on me, then I will retaliate." She makes no other moves, though she does have magic on her side.
Angus can only Smirk, before he turns to yell in the Direction of the Dock house. "Gentleman! As the highest ranking officer here I am taking temporary command here. What is happening in the Dock house is my doing. I want you all here, at my side. Now." He commands, before he turns back to the Alligator and crosses his arms, smiling with just a little to much fang. "Take one step off that Gangplank and I will have you hanging from this ships Mast. Now go get Eldric."
Dio hops a little as the shot smacks against the floor. "My my! Be careful with things like that lass! Anyways..." The lion places his hand upon Mira's back and begins goading her forward. "We're gonna escort ya to the courts or anywhere else ya wanna go. Please follow us and take a few guards if ya want." He waves over to Amelia and continues to push forward in the court's direction.
Amelia tilts her head. "Interesting device, Mirana! Hopefully it's as effective as it is fancy." She tightens her grip on her staff and shuffles on with the others. "Hopefully no one will think to try anything, though. The less violence the better."
In the boathouse the guards keep their handbows on Issi, firing away, "HELP! A shadow is attacking the quartermaster!!" They start panicing! More guards, more panic, soon chaos starts to reign! The guards start crowding around the docks.
And at the same time Angus now has about 10 muskets and 15 mages pointed at him. "Stand aside Sweetwater Noble, or removing your head from your neck will be the next thing I give the order to do." Noticing the panic the alligator looks over, "What is going on here! Raise the Anchor! Get the nobles out of here!" he shouts back.
Sharia is easy enough to find, enjoying some tea at the moment, but is quick to respond to Ictus, "You have proof? You cousin is in more danger then he may know! If he tries to detain them, he is more likely to be dead then successful, we will have to hurry, do you have a quick way to the docks?" She asks.
With Dio and Amelia, Mirana smiles "I'll just walk with you two, thank you Dio sweetie, and, it is very effective Amelia. But yes, the less violance, the better. To the Courts, if Eldric is here, he will have a lot to answer for." She says, making her way, slowly, toward the Castle District.
Issi easily knocks aside a few arrows, the rest sailing past harmlessly. "Very well" She shakes her head, and with a flick of her wrist, sends every ounce of Wind she can muster at the guards and the door, hopefully taking the suspicious otter with them.
Ictus hmms? at Sharia and nods at that, "Alright, lets move fast then." as he quickly moves to the docks, "What do you think may happen?"
"Yes yes," Dio murmurs, continuing to push Mira along, looking rather alert on his path down to the courts. "It seems you kits might have a bit of history with the situation currently goin' on." As they walk along, he thinks a bit more about the situation. "I've 'eard of Eldric before, but don't know too much 'bout the history considerin' I was basically off the map fer awhile."
Angus has no problem with the muskets or the mages pointing at him, and he just yawns. "You are not on Sweetwater soil, you are still on your boat. If you so much as touch a hair on my head it will be an international incident." He smirks, before they start talking about raising their Anchor. "Dammit!" There was no way he was going to let them just leave, so he rushes forward and onto the gangplank..
Amelia rubs her neck, frowning. "What do you think is the cause of all this, anyway? You Solacious nobles seem to get in all kinds of... Interesting situations."
A soft giggle and a simple nod Mirana explains a bit, "Eldric is suspected of many horrible things, but we don't have any proof. I'm taking it something was found?" she asks and soon knows exactly what as she enters the court room, "Lady Mirana Solacious here as prosicution against Lord Eldric Wirefur." The badger behind the desk nods and ushers her in. "Priestess Amelia and my.... servent Dio will be serving as my seconds, please let them in as well." She says, a small fib.
Issi is successful in throwing the guards out, but more panic more chaos! A flare is sent up, a summoning for the rest of the guards and for ships to pull back in!
Meanwhile, as Angus charges the ship the mages let loose with streams of fire, the marksman shooting their rounds, careful to avoid damaging the gankplank and their own ship.
As Ictus and Sharia arrive, the scene is total annarchy! "Solacious... please tell me.. what is going on here?" she asks, almost afraid to walk onto the docks. "That ship has my uncle on it, doesn't it, how the heck can I get over there to order them to not leave the docks!?"
Ictus looks on at the chaos and stares a bit, "... Yes... I'm certain he is." he frowns
Ictus looks on at the chaos and stares a bit, "... Yes... I'm certain he is." he frowns and shakes his head as he grabs Sharia's hand, "Stay with me, this might not end well." he muscles his way past the guards if he has too
Amelia bows politely to the badger. "Good evening." She adjusts her glasses and looks to Mirana. "Let us hope for the best, yes?"
Dio removes his hand off Mirana as they approach the court. "I believe I saw Sveta deliver some interstin' items that hopefully should've arrived. I don't know too much 'bout it, but it should be what yer lookin' for lass." As he's mentioned being a servant, the lion smiles slightly and decides to play along, giving a deep bow to keep up impressions. "Indeed, my Lady. I'm humbled to serve ya," he murmurs, coming up from his bow.
Angus was a fast fox, so he was already half way up the Gangplank when he watches a plume of Fire come screaming his way. He didn't think, just reacted as he throws himself to the gangplank, sliding on it's wet surface before he manages to come to rest on the ship itself. Fire and death still chewing over the empty space he had just occupied as he stands up, and nearly has a heart attack as he realizes that his sleeve is on fire. "Gah, dammit!" He yells, beating at his sleeve before he stops and stares. Finally realizing that he was surrounded.
Issi huffs, dusting odd her hands. That was crude but it worked. She peeks throught the door, looking about for a good way to get out of this chaos, or... Fire Magic, wooden dock, wet wood, but still wood. She sighs. How much worse can this get?
Selena mutters under her breath, approaching the docks carefully. The stray bullets and fire not much helping the atmosphere. With another roll of her eyes, she makes her way through the mess of sounds to the Wirefur ship's side, shuddering a little before she taps the side of the wood idly. Murmuring something to herself, she works some magic on the sails and watches as ice creeps along the cloth and freezes them in place.
In the courtroom, Mirana is presented with the evidence she looks... startled, "Dears, sweeties, please.. please tell me there is someone who can explain what is in this bag and that they can be over here now. I'm holding a... a wolf head for crying out loud!" She says, looking at Dio and Amelia.
Ictus can easily push past the guard with Sharia in tow, Selena making her way through after. "Stop, by the athurity of the Wirefur house, and the council of Cliffside, the office of administrative justice, I, Sharia Wirefur am placing this ship under detainment, and Lord Eldric Wirefur under arrest." She says presenting her crest and badge, As Selena freezes the sails she chuckles a bit, "Not like you can go anywhere now!" she says. The guards aboard are just about to attack Angus again when they hear Sharia's words. They look over to her an put their weapons away.
In the boathouse, Issi is quickly decended upon by more and more guards, the sounds of ships pulling back toward the dock to be heard as well. A Captain of the guard, judging by the look of the stag addresses the rogue Shadow, "Stand down, and no harm will come to you."
Amelia shakes her head at Mirana. "I'm afraid I don't know. I was only told that there was some kind of proof. I don't even know what's going on, entirely." She pushes up her glasses. "The only thing I know is that I didn't want you to come to harm. Something incriminating on our opponents, somehow, but that's all I know. I am sorry."
Dio beings scratching at his head as he looks about the courtroom. He never felt so... Out of place, considering his personality, traveling background, and having never been in a proper noble establishment. "I'm not too sure, lassie," he admits, sticking close to Mira. "Though, I do know it might have to do with Angel. When the Bird of Truth came in through the inn, I 'eard a bit about merchant documents 'n' such. Perhaps somethin' in yer past about his Lord Eldric should help ya out."
Issi puts her hands up, in an apologetic manner and possibly unwisely opens her mouth again "Yes, apologies about that. I do not mean harm to you, it was a minor misunderstanding. There is no reason to shoot. I can explain if I must"
Ictus nods to Sharia and looks around for Angus, seeing him on the ship comes as a surprise as he calls out, "Damin, get off that ship right now!" he glares at the other fox as he stands by the gangplank
Angus was staring down the guards as they prepared to attack him, his own blade drawn. Before they are called off, causing him to ease out of his stance and stick his tongue out at them as a taunt, and actually shows his age for once. "Nah, nah!" He shifts as Ictus catches his attention, and he sighs. "Say what?! ....oh fine." Muttering he puts his sword away and heads towards the gangplank, trying very hard not to smile at all the scorch marks and bullet holes that he notices.
Selena shakes her head. "Shame your administration isn't as good in Cliffside." She mutters, looking directly into Sharia's eyes. "You, I and Eldric have some things to discuss once your business here is concluded." Firmly spoken in such a tone 'no' would not be taken for an answer, before Angus catches her eye. "And you, Angus. I think we need to talk now." She sighs, rubbing the bridge of her muzzle.
Lidiya had gotten split up from everyone at the inn and her being her, she got a bit distracted. At least she didn't headbutt anyone. Having finally gotten someone sober enough to read, she made her way towards the ship. It'll be easier for her to remove the two guards... well, there are probably other earth mages, but she wants to try and get paid too. Then there's the aftermath and she hurries over to Selena since, well, she won't get ignored by the two other people with a grasp of sign language.
Sighing softly Mirana looks to Dio and Amelia again, "Then please get this.. Bird ofTruth and Angel here if you can. I'm going to need help understanding all this." she says softly, looking over the papers, but her attention is always drawn back to the severed head.
On the docks the rogue Shadow Issi is still confronted, "Place your hands behind your back and come with us, no harm will befall you, but you are under arrest." says the captain as he produces some ropes. Carefully he closes in on Issi.
Sharia nods to Selena, "Anything, I assume you have business with him too?" She looks over to Ictus and Angus. "I can't keep everyone on this ship, I place the detainies into the authority of the Solacious House, till such time as I can arrange for proper quarters, transportation, and transfer of evidence." She says, and puts a hand on Selena, "I knew I recognised you.... I'm... sorry for what happened to your family. I wasn't a chief administrator, just an aprentace myself, but I read the case files. If you want to be there when we start the questioning, be my guest." She digs in her pocket, pulling out a brass coin, and holding it out, "Just show my guards this, and you will be let in, it won't get you in his cell unless I'm there personally, but .... I just hope this helps." she says. "Come on, you are all under my domain, get my uncle out here and march!" She looks to Ictus and Angus, "Lead the way, please."
Amelia rubs her head. "That... May be a problem, Mirana. I do not know where Sveta went, and Angel is currently messed up pretty bad and is in the Solacious infirmary. But if you insist, I can try to get her. I do not know what condition she will be in, however." She frowns and adjusts her glasses.
Issi shakes her head "Um, perhaps if you could talk to my compainion, whom seems to have vanished off to the docks... The Fox, Perhaps he can help explain. This is a massive misunderstanding, I didn't realize he wasn't working for the people we were after."
Ictus sighs at Angus and shakes his head, "At least you kept them on the ship." he hmms? as he looks around and tilts his head curiously, "Wonder where that shadow went..." he looks curious before he shrugs and nods to Sharia, "Alright, that'll be fine." he blinks at that next though and tilts his head curiously at Selena, "What's this about... You can come with us if you like Selena."
"Of course my lady!" Dio puts a hand to his forehead to create a salute, obviously not quite right for the situation. "I'm not sure where Bird of Truth resides, but Angel would make a good witness!" The lion lowers his hand back to his side and lets out a short cough. "Upon request, one of us could retrieve Angel. Though beware, as the priest lassie said, she ain't feelin' very good."
Angus chuckles, and nods. "Kept them on the ship, made sure they didn't get out to sea...but, they ruined my coat!" He shouts, trying to lighten the mood a little, before the shadow is brought up. "Oh....crap." Turning around he dashes back to the dock house, skidding to a stop as he finally realizes that it is swarming with soldiers, and taps his foot. "What in the name of the Creators is going on here?"
Sveta emerges from the evidence room, a scrip of paper still grasped in her gloved hands. Two guardsmen are on either side of her, briskly escorting her through the courthouse corridors. "...And thank you for submitting the evidence in Lord Solacious' name, miss. We're sorry that accepting it all into proper evidence took so long, but there should be no problem presenting these at Lord Eldric's trial now. However, since your job is done, we can't lave loiterers about the courthouse..."
Selena tenses up a little as the wirefur puts a hand on her shoulder, taking it by the wrist and removing it uncomfortably, though the coin is accepted. "Don't, please. I don't want your pity." She mutters, turning as though ready to walk off before having a second thought. "I want to be there when Eldric's questioned. But don't bring that up again, do you understand?" She stands there for a few moments before slipping the coin into her pocket before greeting Lidiya with a wave. "Think I should go with them?" She queries, gesturing to the procession.
Lidiya sets the head of her hammer on the ground and leans on the handle. She considers, then signs something to Selena. Angus' shout is given a curious look, having seen the guards and figured it was related. She gestures to them and tucks in like she would tackle someone, then tilts her head and jerks towards the crowd.
As Sveta comes out Mirana gives her a wave and... was about to hug but stops short. "Good to see you Sveta. But.. Angel...? In the Solacious Manor, well, why don't we go see her?" she says and puts the evidince away, "I will be back to investigate later, thank you." to the otter as she heads out, waving for Dio, Amelia, and Sveta to join her.
Sharia walks along with Ictus and leads Eldric out of the docks and to the Manor herself, bringing with her a few others and a great deal of guards from the ship. "Yes Selena, I will not again, but... you should know not every Wirefur is as..... as my uncle is." she says, hoping past mistakes can be at least repayed. She waits for Ictus to lead the way to the holding cells.
The Captain looks back to Angus, "Sir, we are arresting this Shadow for assulting the Quatermaster, and... at least 20 of our own guards." With that he tries to tie up Issi's hands....
Amelia tips her head to Sveta. "Hello again!" Greeting done, she turns to Mirana. "Of course. Lead the way."
Ictus looks between Selena and Sharia as they talk and shakes his head, "I'm guessing this is personal then." he nods to the house guards as he leads the mob inside, "We should have sevral cells open..." he looks at Eldric and flashes a smile, "I'll make sure you are very... Comfortable..." the way he says it isn't very welcoming though
"Ah!" Dio looks as Sveta enters the room, giving her a wide wave and a smile. "Good to see ya, Bird of Truth Delivery." Seeing Mirana wave over for him to follow, the lion takes the hint and trails shortly behind. "Her muzzle's a bit cracked, but I'm sure she'll provide some interestin' information my lady."
Angus shakes his head. "My apologizes, but she assaulted the Quatermaster at my orders. We didn't have time to explain, and I needed to confront Eldric before he was allowed on Sweetwater soil. If anyone is to blame here it's me. Now please, let her go." He smirks, and offers them his wrists if they really did wish to arrest someone. Even if that someone just happens to be a noble...
Sveta looks between Mirana, amelia and Dio, clearly not expecting to see them "Wait, Lady Mirana! I thought you were..." but she's gone, with Amelia and Dio in tow. With little else to go on, she follows them out, hoping to get an explanation later.
Issi isn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but she knows that moving further would be a bad idea. She stays put nodding to Angus.
Selena shakes her head. While she doesn't turn to face the wirefur, an ear cocked in her direction implies she's listening. "They're detaining the Wirefurs from their ship, including Eldric." She replies to Lidiya, sighing as her hand shifts from her muzzle to temple. "The ones responsible for warmongering." Ictus's comment is simply ignored with a dismissive flick of her tail.
Lidiya glares at Ictus and makes a rude gesture towards him before turning back to Selena. She gestures over to Angus and the guards and tilts her head while shaking her fist, still looking at Selena. She can fix it. Sort of. Well, probably make things worse, but that's not as much fun. And maybe she can hit things again. She nods to Selena and signs something to her once again before wandering over to the side to watch the proceeding with Angus and the... the other one?
Everyone, for the most part, has come back to the Solacious Manor. Lord Eldric and his supporters are escorted to cells, under the watchful eyes of true solacious guards. Issi and Angus escorted back themselves, "Lord Ictus..." shouts the Captain of the Guard, "Please, take care of these two as well, I'll be making a full report." he says, watching the procession down into the cells. Mirana, with Dio, Sveta, and Amelia arrive as well, Mira stating, "What exactly.... well... I guess all that remains is to sort out the evidince." Sharia simply nods to Selena, "Lock them up tight, I.. am going back to bed, this can get sorted out later, let them all stew for a while." she says, walking back toward her quarters. Mira gives a yawn as well, "And my main witness needs time to recover. So..." her belly rumbles. "Umm.. Dinner anyone?" she says with a soft giggle.
Sveta attempts to curtsey, and fails. "I think I shall pass, Lady Mirana. It is late, and I have duties tomorrow. Nevertheless, it's good to see you're safe. And you of course, Dio, Amelia." With that she's out the manor door, and gone.
Ictus hmms? at the guard captain and nods as he rubs his temples, "Very well." he looks to Angus and frowns, "You... I trust will stay in your room until this isover with." he looks to Issi though and sighs, "You however, I will need to lock up... Sorry." he nods to Mirana and smiles, "Of course love." before he escorts her to one of the nicer cells
Angus walks through the doors, escorted. Actually escorted by the Captain of the Guard...of all the indignities. He had his arms crossed, a slight frown drawn across his muzzle as he stands there, his ears folding back. "...We only pinned him up against a wall...sheehs, it wasn't that bad." He mutters, turning his head a little to ignore the captain.
Dio trails behind Mira and other others, returning to the place where the crazy adventure all began. "That was quite somethin'," he chuckles, waving as Sveta takes her leave. His interest is instantly perked as the words 'dinner' flows through his ears. "Dinner? Well, if the lady doesn't mind her 'servant' to partake..." As everyone else walks in, especially Angus, he lets out a short chuckle. "Had a good time, fox-kit?"
Issi shakes her head with a sigh. If they must. She doesn't object, but she's none to happy about te current situation.
Lidiya looks at Angus and sighs, then reaches down and throws a pebble at him out of annoyance. Selena's then given a curious look.
