They both give a laugh and then the one called Ralph continues, as to our duty, that is simple, to keep anyone who would try and pesture the people working on the ship out, and that includes anyone like you, so if you would please your /highness/ stand back." Ictus is allowed to pass the first line of guards, "Of course Sir, come on up, and, try not to get heckled by the Cliffside guard." Arimia moves undetured and Saibh goes unnoticed, but she would get a good look at the unknown griffon, if she were watching, as he shifts, placing on normal clothing, into a very plain looking wolf. As soon as he can, he takes to the nearby shadows, trying to go unnoticed.<br> <br>Arimia catches the flashing of the mirror out of the corner of her eye and nods at Saibh's signaling, her pace quickening as she moves toward the market square. She's not entirely sure what she'll be looking for, but anything unusual would do. And if she couldn't find anything... It was on her way anyway. <br> <br>Saibh tracks the wolf, keeping low, keeping quiet. "Such a disposition is hardly becoming of guards meant to represent cliffside. What manner of training have you recieved to prepare yourself for this post?" he says, inspecting the one called ralph and his partner completely before backing up, and offering a glance, and then a wave, to Ictus upon their approach. <br> <br>Ictus nods to Rogna and looks to the guards that heckled the royal, "As I said, I have documents here that let me inspect the ship." he looks to Rogna and smiles, "My Lord? would you care to help me with the inspection? I'm afraid I don't know boats very well..."<br> <br>The cliffside guards, without asking, take the papers from Ictus and look them over, "Alright, you are to go to the third table from the right, and no where else, that is where the papers for Solacious eyes are being organised. Go anywhere else and you are likely to find a sword through your gut." Ralph laughs as he says this, him and his partner standing aside, "And as for our training, we were trained by the Wirefurs themselves for guard duty, Lord Eldric telling us we can treat you all as we see fit." He says to Rogna. Saibh would start to have trouble keeping track of the strange wolf as he ducks into the shadows, but the last he would have been seen in the open, he'd have been heading toward the lower districts of town.<br> <br>Arimia gestures some sort of dismissive gesture toward Saibh as she continues walking. She looks around the marketplace, but doesn't waste much time, heading toward mange square, then disappearing into a tavern. Once in she says something to the bartender and slips around the bar, dropping down a hatch leading underground. <br> <br>Saibh hurries along the edge of the building watching the wolf, readying her bow just in case. She's going to try her damndest to make sure he doesn't escape again even if she has to pin him to the floor. Keeping low, she continues to try and avoid letting herself get framed by the sky for anyone that looks up.<br> <br>Rogna says "I say this does not look good on Lord Eldric, encouraging such behavior of his trained guards, but as long as you are efficient that will suffice." He then turns to Ictus and nods, adding "Of course i'll accompany you to make up for your lack of sea-fairing vessel knowledge. Let us proceed to the table. And you have permission to inspect the ship? I do believe that that entitles you to more than mere prepared papers for the solacious for viewing. If you have permission to view the entirety of the ship, then such a threat is to be deemed suspiciously aggressive, and should be withheld."<br> <br>Ictus huffs as he is insulted and the papers are taken before he can offer them, though he wouldn't have expected any less, "I'll have to talk to Lord Eldric about how I was treated." Acting very much the offended noble, he looks to Rogna and nods, "Well, that's what I was told. However, if it says I can only see that particular table, it is quite suspicious." he shrugs it off though<br> <br>Selena mutters some profanity under her breath as she strides into the maritime district for the Wirefur's ship. Moving towards it readily, looking over to the guards on the platform. She rolls her eyes unamusedly at them, greeting them in a slightly flat tone; "I assume you're going to want my name and my business here... Selena, Ironsoul's defender commander and I have some things to discuss with Eldric about a recent secession from his house. And if I recall, he still owes me a chat."<br> <br>Angel continues along, unaware of being watched, that is till he ducks into a building. He is in there for quiet a while. The bartender nods to Arimia, and once down the trap door, she is greated in whispers and given space to do as she pleases. Ictus and Rogna are permited on with a "Our orders are our orders, third table, and no other." They both say. Up on the ship itself there are many more guards walking about keeping things watched over as the more educated work hard at writing, rewriting, and checking the documents, recording information swiftly yet accurately. A linx waves to Ictus from the thrid table, one of the few sweetwater scholars permited on the ship. As Selena walks up, the Sweetwater guards let her pass, not doubting her a second, however, the guards from Cliffside do, "Now now, little wolf, if you want to talk to the Lord of this boat, you should turn your cute little ass around and walk it over to the court buildings, though I don't remember him asking for any entertainment!" Ralph laughs heartailly at his joke.<br> <br>Arimia settles down at a desk in the thieves guild and starts working. She uses a variety of tools to replicate what she wants, replacing the messenger's description with hers, then writing out, 'This messenger is to be shown to my secret records, then allowed access to whatever else she deems necessary to complete her task. You are to aid her in any way she asks, and not pry into the affairs I am having her take care of, or I will have you flogged, then executed for treason.' Once that's done she waits for the ink to dry before folding the letters and using a bit of wax to seal them, replicating the seal from the other letters to do so. <br> <br>Saibh glances around, trying to get a feel for the building, debating on if she needs to climb down or wait. Adjusting the cloth mask, she pulls out a small piece of paper and a bit of charcoal and makes a few notes about the building. She then settles down, watching the door, hoping she hadn't been seen by the wolf. She checks for a quick way down, then waits patiently, ready to act as the situation demands, whether that be observation, action or climbing down to follow

As Mirana and Ictus continue to argue in the minor courts with Lord Eldric, guards and watchment keep eye over the merchants and accountants that work on the ship. Occationally a messanger will come up to the boat, show identification, bring some papers up to the make shift tables and desks, then, take some back, likely heading back to court. Some come with the Solacious house seal, others with the Wirefur house seal. The exchange is usually rapid, the only ones really paying good attention being the guards themselves, everyone else is far too busy checking and double checking documents.

Arimia might be hard to recognize, as she's sitting on the docks is tattered looking clothing, a plain brown cloak pulled around her. Her fur has mud and dirt on it, and there are some fresh looking scrapes and cuts on her body. In short, she looks like another of the beggars lining the dock, up to and including reaching out to try and cajole some coin from passerby. Though when nobody is nearby her odd eyes are fixed on the ship. Perhaps not unusual as lots of folk are staring at it, but her gaze is more intent than casual interest.

Saibh is currently set up a short distance away, wearing a heavy cloak picked to blend in, hood pulled up and a cloth mask covering her muzzle. She's laying flat and she's laying still, scanning the ground and occasionally watching the sky. She's got her bow and some arrows layed out carefully next to her under a piece of the same material as her cloak.

Rogna strolls into the maritime district, making his way towards the ship said to house a reportably vile noble's belongings. He failed to get anywhere with paperwork, while he made a compelling case, so he cannot get on board and view without any trouble. he can however speak to the guards, see exactly who is present, and judge if they are worthy of their positions here on such a critical matter. He stops in front of the rather short, plain cloaked and dirty Arimia, not recognizing the spunky raccoon, but giving them a smile anyways. Perhaps a child, perhaps a small folk out of luck, but they deserve some manner of life. He stoops down and gives them what he believes to be twenty thousand crowns, and says "Go make a life, this is no way to live." before he stands and moves to speak to the guards. "Hello there! I am Rogna, and I would like to speak to you about your post. First, have you seen any suspicious types about, and second, it is your duty to protect this ship and nothing else?" He watches the guards carefully.

Another messanger runs up to the guards as Rogna talks to them, "One moment please My Lord." The female collie guard says as she looks at the Wirefur seal they have and the note they have signed by the Lord Eldric himself. "Go on" she says then turns to Rogna, "The guards here from our good land, My Lord, surve as the first check point before reaching the boat proper, guards from Cliffside serve as the second, it is our duty to ensure no one without craditals gets on." She shakes her head, "I'm sorry My Lord, but even if we were to let you pass, the Cliffside guards would not." No one really makes any remark about Arimia, nor much notice of Saibh, however, the same messanger, a robin, darts back toward the castle distract with the requested papers.... dropping one along the way.

Arimia gives a small frown after she's handed the crown and stands up, starting to shuffle away. She observes as the messenger rushes off and drops the paper, making sure that her movements take her over it. A close observer would notice a tentacle scooping the paper up, wrinkling a bit in the process, but it's mostly concealed by the size of the cloak, which looks as though it were made for someone larger. Once she's around a corner, where she won't draw attention, she drops all the crown she'd been handed into the hands of an actual beggar, before moving to retrieve her things from where she'd stashed them.

Arimia spends 20501 Crown for RP reasons.

Saibh holds still, moving only the tip of her nose as she watches the movement. With very slow, deliberate actions, she slowly pulls her bow over to her, hiding it under her cloak as she decides to be ready just in case. She then settles back into place, unmoving once more.

Rogna shakes his head, looking the guards over and repeating his questions. "Pardon, but I'd like to hear it from the mouths of those actually performing the duty. You would know best. What are you guarding, have there been any suspicious sorts of late, and, now I must ask if it is possible to speak with the cliffside guard. You are the first line of defense, you would know everyone who comes and goes but sometimes people are not who they appear, and the guard behind you would have a better chance of knowing this knowledge. I understand if you will not permit me beyond this point, I simply must ensure that this matter is firmly under our heels. A breach in security would be a jab to our already unsatisfactory relations with Cliffside."

The guards stand aside to let Rogna in. "Of course you may speak with them My Lord, but don't expect to get much from them, they seem to be in a very sour mood." Looking at the bulldogs that make up the first pair of guards it is evident that the collie is correct. Meanwhile, for those watching the air, a griffon flies by, heading down toward the market square. He, or she, seems to be in a hurry, flying at an almost reckless speed. Arimia's scooping up of the paper goes unnoticed by anyone but a begger, who seems to be unconcerned by what they just saw.

Arimia moves along once she's retrieved her things and changed into her usual gear. She's reading the paper as she goes, then slips it into a cloak pocket. Her attention was too focused on this to notice the griffon overhead, though her path is still leading toward the market square, likely with a further destination in mind.

Saibh spots the gryphon. Slipping her hand under her cloak, she pulls a small mirror and cups it to hide it from the ship while she tries to get Arimia's attention, just a few quick flashes. If she gets her attention, she'll make a quick gesture towards the market square. She then slowly backs away from the edge of the roof and army crawls to the other edge to watch the gryphon for a moment and to obscure herself from anyone that might've seen her actions.

Rogna proceeds past the guards with a nod, planning to return back to them once he's conducted his inspection of the cliffside guard. They had failed to yeild answers to his questions twice now, this is concerning. He approaches the two cliffside guards on the wooden portion of the dock and says "Hello there, I am Rogna, and I am here to speak to you regarding your duties." As he draws near he looks them over, then inspects the surrounding area to ensure it is safe and indeed what one would expect in a situation. "I would like to speak to you about all those who have visited prior, if there have been any suspicious characters as of late, and I must ask you personally, what your duty is precisely."

Seems things at the debate have stopped for the moment as Ictus arrives on scene, he's dressed in fine clothes rather than his usual clothing. He looks around the boat as he approaches and smiles to the guards, "Hello there, I am Ictus Solacious. I have documents here that say I can take a look on the ship." he shows the documents he's holding to the first set of guards without reaveling their contents unless asked

The guards look down to Rogna and scoff, "We heard you talking with your own guard, they know nothing really other then to look for craditanls and send them back to us, and no, no one that I'd say is suspisous, what about your Ralph?" He says and nudges his partner, "Nope, nothing suspisous at all, other then you royal." Ictus nods to Rogna and looks to the guards that heckled the royal, "As I said, I have documents here that let me inspect the ship." he looks to Rogna and smiles, "My Lord? would you care to help me with the inspection? I'm afraid I don't know boats very well..."

The cliffside guards, without asking, take the papers from Ictus and look them over, "Alright, you are to go to the third table from the right, and no where else, that is where the papers for Solacious eyes are being organised. She's going to try her damndest to make sure he doesn't escape again even if she has to pin him to the floor. Keeping low, she continues to try and avoid letting herself get framed by the sky for anyone that looks up.

Rogna says "I say this does not look good on Lord Eldric, encouraging such behavior of his trained guards, but as long as you are efficient that will suffice." He then turns to Ictus and nods, adding "Of course i'll accompany you to make up for your lack of sea-fairing vessel knowledge. Let us proceed to the table. And you have permission to inspect the ship? I do believe that that entitles you to more than mere prepared papers for the solacious for viewing. If you have permission to view the entirety of the ship, then such a threat is to be deemed suspiciously aggressive, and should be withheld."

Ictus huffs as he is insulted and the papers are taken before he can offer them, though he wouldn't have expected any less, "I'll have to talk to Lord Eldric about how I was treated." Acting very much the offended noble, he looks to Rogna and nods, "Well, that's what I was told. However, if it says I can only see that particular table, it is quite suspicious." he shrugs it off though

Selena mutters some profanity under her breath as she strides into the maritime district for the Wirefur's ship. And if I recall, he still owes me a chat."

Angel continues along, unaware of being watched, that is till he ducks into a building. As Selena walks up, the Sweetwater guards let her pass, not doubting her a second, however, the guards from Cliffside do, "Now now, little wolf, if you want to talk to the Lord of this boat, you should turn your cute little ass around and walk it over to the court buildings, though I don't remember him asking for any entertainment!" Ralph laughs heartailly at his joke.

Arimia settles down at a desk in the thieves guild and starts working.

Saibh glances around, trying to get a feel for the building, debating on if she needs to climb down or wait.
