The entrance to Shanty Town is crawling with folks from all sorts of life, mainly however thugs who casually move through the streets, and a dozen or so city guard who have been dispatched to handle this possible situation. Many of them roam the streets going from location to location, a lot of confusion going about as to where exactly this is going on. For those in the know, closer to the true location they might catch glimpses of a rat storming through the alleyways. Those entering shantytown seem to have a decent distance towards their target if they're to catch this strange overtaking.

Arimia is making her way through the alleyways as well, heading for the same location the rat seems to be going for, although by a different route. She's got her cloak on and hood pulled up, the cloth helping to keep her somewhat disguised as just another small being in Shanty Town.

Cassidy makes her way through Shanty Town, her cowl and mask tugged up as she made sure to keep her weapons in quick reach. As usual, when in this part of the kingdom. She kept her distance, for the most part, but made her way across town all the same. She wasn't certain where it was at, but she figured she'd at least follow someone else there.

Kalt continues to push her way through the crowds as she makes her way to the far side of town, not certain where exactly... But if you follow the crowd to where it's thickest, and where the talk is happening, you can't go wrong can you? The vixen's armor cleaned and ready, and her sword strapped upon her back along with her plethora of other weapons. She does her best to end up hurting people in her search, though she isn't hiding the growls and slight snarls to help motivate some out of her way...

Fenris saunters through the gates and into Shanty town, though none of his friends would recognize him. His familiar green hat is missing and he is wearing the face of a rough looking alleycat with a half missing ear and a heavy scar over one eye. He stalks through the streets purposefully, turning a baleful, eerily blank eye on anyone who draws near to him. The disguised tiger strides purposefully toward the Dark Delights magic shop.

Issi skips the crowd entirely. No need to end up in that cluster of gaping confusion. She makes her way through a few alleys, she might just be going on a rumor, but it was the best she has. Daggers already drawn and blindfold already off, she expected the worst really. It helps she's mostly black and a snake to begin with.

The rat throws up his hood on his half cape as he approaches his destination, although this doesn't disguise him much as a dagger comes out. A few of the gazes he passes immediately look away as he flashes the blade at them, only one or two of them leaving their position to tail him. As he draws ever closer the rat engages the two of these folks as quickly as possible to eliminate any accumulating problems. Arimia experiences a similar greeting, although no one flees her path or blocks her so much as stares and murmers.

Arimia reaches up as she approaches, lowering her hood and throwing it back slightly as she draws her dagger. She ignores the stares and murmurs, though if she accumulates any stalkers they would be handled just as quickly and decisively as the rats. When she arrives at the location she says to any any nearby, "Flee, or die. This is your only chance."

Cassidy peers over towars Kalt for a moment, then looks towards the one that seems to be moving with purpose... And promptly changes course, following after them, flexing her fingers in case she needed to use them, soon...

Kalt snaps her jaws at one of the slower moving individuals, letting her finally get into a slight bit of breathing room as she spots someone walking with a purpose... And given the rumors, that purpose can't be too likely to not coincide with her own. So sure enough, the armored Vixen is soon closely trailing the person as they make their way to their destination... Her hands reaching up to unfasten her zweihander and take it in her grip as she feels the fur on the back of her neck begin to stand on end.

The rat arrives shortly after Arimia, the not building surprisingly undermanned on the exterior. He looks to the 'coon before he looks for points of entry. The location when examined proves to be a tall lot with nothing but a tall fence around it, the top spiked with jagged metal and splintered. The inside carries sounds of life, enough signs that if they were plastered all in one place and not mere evidence, it would look rather comical. There is one door on one side of the structure, although it looks like one might be able to enter via the roofing of a nearby building if they didn't mind a jump.

Arimia stares at the building and the fence surrounding it before glancing at the rat. "I'm going in from the top. You go in where you want." She moves over to a building somewhat near the fence and climbs up it, then turns, makes a short dash, and launches off from the roof. She clears the spikes of the fence and lands in a smooth roll on the opposite roof, doing her best to try and quiet the sound of her small frame hitting the building. That done she starts to search for an entrance on that rooftop.

Cassidy gives a nod to Kalt, seeing as they were following the same individual. Coming to the fenc, she scowls softly, looking over the structure. With a soft hum, she looks towards the building, then at the fenc again. Uncertain of her ability to make that kind of jump she pulls her arms back and prepares to make an airmath assisted launch through the air, hopefully to take the black-clad fennec to the other side.

Kalt furrows her brow as she notices the others moving to hop up and manuver their way inside... Of course, for a fully armored vixen, such routes were out of the question. However... She could draw the eyes inside to her, to allow them the moment they needed. "Get in, an' do it quick y'hear?" She mutters to Cassidy before raising her weighted boot as she goes to slam her heel on the lock of the gate. Any attempts at subtlty from her as she works to try and break through the front gate is gone as she goes to make as much noise as possible. "GET YOUR ARSES OUT HERE! YOU GOT BLOOD TO BE ANSWERIN' FOR, AN I AIN'T GONNA END IT NICELY IF'N YOU MAKE ME GET ON IN!"

Issi jumps, a little more air magic helping her up than she'll admit, landing over the barrier and landing harder than she would have liked, but that's the problem when you study magic so hard and forget your cardio... Still she's where she wants to be beyond the barrier. Next problem is obviously getting in, though it seems like Arimia is already working on that. Still, there has to be something up here somewhere. She starts looking around herself, there may be something here.

Fenris feels a tingle on the back of his neck as he draws near the appointed spot, well, assuming his contacts weren't lying to him. The disguised tiger glances back and sees Kalt and Cassidy tailing him. "Good," he mutters to himself, "That should be helpful." He eyes the shabby, though dangerous wall, his sight not at all obscured by his currently cyclopean visage. He stalks off toward a nearby building and leaps gracefully to the roof and from there over the fence with a bit of magical assistance. He straightens up, looking warily around for possible threats. He grins at the sound of Kalt's challenge at the gate, the expression looks a little nasty on his altered visage.

The rat has long since followed Arimia's lead before more figures land on the roof, getting a glance and a swift response from Johnny as he prepares himself for combat. This aside the group can easily hear beings below them, a doorway and a crack in the upper wall on one side the seemingly only ways in. As Kalt busts down the gate with her foot she is greeted by three burly looking guys, who don't seem to be expecting her. One of them says flatly "Girl leave, you're gunna get hurt." as he gives her a push on the chest. The inside of the building livens up as Kalt screams her head off, the sounds of clanking and clacking grow loud.

Arimia glances around the roof as others land next to her, eyebrow arching when it's not just Johnny. She shakes her head slightly but doesn't comment on it. Looking at the rat she points at the doorway and says, "You go there, I'll take the other way in. That way one of us getting stopped won't lead to both of us getting stopped." She starts toward the crack in the wall then, exhaling slowly. As she moves the color seems to fade from her, her pink fur darkening to a more bland grey color, letting her more easily slip into the shadows. Without much difficulty she swings herself down into the crack, taking a moment to assess her surroundings and see if any beings noticed her.

Cassidy twists around on the roof, giving a nod to Arimia. "Good luck," she murmurs before approaching the edge of the roof and drawing her longbow as she looks down towards Kalt at the gate. Looks like there was a little change in plan, and to be honest she felt more comfortable up on the roof rather than skulking around in closer quarters. And so, she sat watch for now, making sure Kalt didn't end up in a bad way.

Kalt snarls as she's given a push on the chest, her eyes turning a slight shade of red as the fur on the back of her neck stands on end. Her left hand keeping a tight grip on her sword, though swinging it with one hand is both impractical and foolish... Instead her right tenses and forms into a ball instantly, runes along the sharpened knuckles flaring up in creator's fire as she cocks it back before going to swing in a powerful blow aimed at the shoving guy's throat, more specifically his adam's apple. "I ain't the one who should be worryin' bout being hurt you sons of a bitches!" That should do it, after all... If she managed to take down one of the gate guards, or more, she should be able to cause some of their reserve to come out to face her.

Issi doesn't have any range weaponry on her, but she does have magic. And daggers. She makes her way to the crack, following Arimia, it seems like something of a bad idea. Still she can take whatever comes at her, hopefully. The viper's already got her daggers drawn and at the ready, even as she makes her way to the crack. Lets hope neither of them are seen before they can react.

"I'm here to help," Fenris rasps, his voice unrecognizable, "I'll stick with Johnny." The altered feline leans gently against the door, setting an ear against the wood. He looks over his shoulder and nods at Johnny before turning the handle carefully and swiftly opening the door, and slipping off to the side, peering cautiously into the doorway.

The 'coon slips in easily, her entrance un-noticed by the guards who are preparing for the struggle outside. She stands on a cheaply made upper floor, the floors don't look very sturdy or silent. Before her are two beings, looking towards the stairs as they prepare a some kind of powder, working to place it into small packets which they tie together with loose string. One of them grabs one and slings it against he wall upon which it explodes into a fine cloud of dust. "Works fine." he says as he does so. The guards out front, one reeling from the unfavorable blow he was dealt, and two others, mount their retaliation against Kalt. One slings a rock tied to a rope of some sort against Kalt, the blow glancing off of her. The other blow is not so fortunate, a cudgel smacking her rather firmly upon her left shoulderblade, armor not resisting the intensity of the attack. Johnny takes the distracted moment to hop down and, simply open the door, before he stops aside the entryway. As he does so a small bolt flys out the door, hitting the fence and exuding a gunk as cursing can be heard. "C'mon, mister Vox." one of them says. "C'mon, lets see your hostile take over. The guard will love it." The rat looks a might confused but he stays focused, preparing to do something. The folks on the roof, have decisions to make.

Arimia tilts her head slightly, watching the guards. After the cloud of dust she speaks up. "Yes. That will serve me nicely." Then she grits her teeth and lifts her hands mentally visualizing the dark math, sending it toward the two beings, causing them harm and confusion. "So I'll be takin' it now."

Cassidy narrows her eyes as the guard bludgeons Kalt with the cudgel. She just couldn't allow that, now could she? She tugs one of the barbed arrows from her quiver and notches it in the aeromagical longbow, drawing it back as she lines up her shot, letting the arrow fly towards the one with the cudgel, aiming to shoot him right in the upper back.

Kalt grins as the rock bounces off her armor, and in her arogance managed to miss the nice cudgel that ended up slamming into her shoulder. A nice sharp crack ringing out as the metal bends and dents inward, and her grip on the zweihander slackens so that the sword falls to the ground. If she were of clearer mind right now, she'd give him credit for using a blunt weapon against a plate wearing foe, as it is the more effective route for bringing them down usually... Granted, at the moment it was alight with blood curdling pain as she barely resists the urge to fall to her knees. Instead, her right hand is quick to open and take hold of her shortsword though, drawing it from it's place on the square of her back as she lets out a blood hungry snarl as she moves to drive it's poisoned edge into the nearest individual, in this case the poor bastard she had punched in the throat earlier.

Issi hmms, avoiding Arimia and her literal black magic for now. The viper pokes around the tables, ebon, go figure. But this powder eludes her. Not sure what it is, but it's not quite to be trifled with for now. Could be a toxin, could be another narcotic. Does the Ebon have something to do with the powder, or is it for personal enjoyment?

Fenris grins across the doorway to Johnny. "Ready?" he rasps in his unfamiliar voice, "'Cause here we go!" The feline focuses his thoughts for a moment, then throws himself around the corner, unleashing a wave of raw force!

The beings upstairs are rather ill at the moment, caught off guard they run screaming downstairs in their painful confusion. As Kalt lays her blade into the already damaged thug he goes still, the one with the cudgel stopping as he's hit with a relatively accurate arrow. The being with the rock sling calls out "They're on the roof!" as he rushes the now evident Johnny and Fenris with his stone on a rope swinging about madly. He thwacks Fenris with it before his rope snaps, the weapon falling to pieces, leaving the feline with a not so serious bruise to be coming along their back. This does not deter the spell in motion, which rocks the buildings occupants, including the two who ran downstairs for safetey, the two of them curling up on the ground in pain. Johnny grabs his bow, aiming inside before he flips around and lodges the arrow in he newly disarmed nearby thugs body. Arimia upstairs collects a few bundles of powder, and the upstairs duo are treated to a flood of beings attempting to escape the magical bombardment. About seven of them, one wearing a mock crown, a seagull with quite a few scars. "Get them!" he says as they start to cover the stairs and the threats on the 2nd floor.

Arimia turns her attention to the fleeing beings, then ducks down, dodging under one blow before twisting her body to the side to avoid another. She reaches out as though to grab one of the fleeing beings before a dagger appears in her hand, almost out of nowhere, burying itself in the creature. Pulling the dagger free she moves to another, runs of both dark origin and creator origins flaring to life as she stabs the blade into the being.

Cassidy grimaces as the one shouts out that she's on the roof. Whirling around, she notches another arrow, pulling it back and holding the longbow at half draw as she waits at the ready, incase she gets any unfriendly visitors up on her perch.

Kalt pants heavily as she rips her sword from the thug, the blood dripping along it's edge as she eyes it with a pang of hunger in her eyes... But she's soon distracted as the building rocks from the explosion and her attention is focused back up. She recognized the two at the door as friendlies at the least, and was quick to make a dash for the door. the pain in her arm drowned out heavily through the surge of adrenaline as she works to slam her way through the doors, and try to find the nearest set of stairs to charge up with her short sword in hand. After all, even wounded she could help the others by distracting the enemies!

Issi steps quickly out of the way, whatever that was is not something one wants to be in the path of. One instant reflex later, both daggers find her attacker, both venom and creator fire covering the blades. She doesn't hesitate, she strikes to kill. She knows no-one else is up here, besides Arimia and she sounds like she has her own troubles.

Fenris cries out in surprise and pain when the thug gets in a surprise hit. Apparently a surprise on both sides. He hisses and rights himself as Johnny takes care of his lucky assailant and looks out over the chaos that reigns in the room now revealed. He looks out at the scattered thugs and his inner kitsune almost claps with glee. "This should be exciting," he rasps, exerting a bit of Kitsune power to hopefully set the gang members against each other.

Chaos takes over the building as thugs are stabbed and one of them gets the idea to take a wide swing with his war hammer and clock one of his buddies. The outside of the building starts to gain attention, a few unsavory looking characters peering in the gate. Johnny tails inside after Kalt and Fenris, not wanting to be caught outside at the moment. Cassidy on the roof gets a good glimpse of those approaching, and gracefully avoids an arrow which is slung in her direction. Johnny pulls free his pistol as soon as he sees the seagull, a glare and a shot, not really ending him but doing enough damage that the bird is reeling. The interior of the building is almost completely depleted of threat, a few thugs and a bird the only standing opposition. "The bird cackles in pain before he puts his hands behind his head. "I give up Johnny, guess you're the leader now. Good job. Now let's go tell that to the guard." he says with a grin, to which Johnny sneers.

Arimia tilts her head, flicking an ear slightly, as she reaches under her cloak. She pulls out a bow of carved bone, knocks an arrow to it's... String, then lets it fly, aiming for the gull's leg, near the knee. "Shut up until you're willin' to talk without spittin' out lies an' half-truths. We ain't goin' to the guard. Shanty Town is mine. You think I can't avoid a couple watch hounds in it's streets? Someone make sure the feather-head ain't gonna die. An' make sure he ain't goin' nowhere on his own. We'll be takin' him somewhere nice an' out of the way so he can be havin' a nice, intimate conversation with some knives."

Cassidy avoid that incoming arrow, her folded-back ears twitching under her cowl as she goes to duck out of sight around the edge of the roof. "Hold your fire," she calls out. It's worth a shot. "We are not your enemy!" She didn't want to shoot them back, lest it turn out to be some relative of the royal line. THAT was a political scandal she didn't need.

Kalt pants as she slows down on her charge up the stairs as nothing seems to happen to her, a slow pant rising from her as she leans against the wall and grimaces as the pain comes trickling back to her... And judging from the sounds outside, they may not have long inside. So she's quick to pick herself up and finish trudging up the stairs. "We need to go... Mob coming."

Suddenly, a free floating amalgam of clues and ideas find their places in Fenris's thoughts. "They've set you up Johnny," the feline rasps, "Them calling you Vox and spreading rumors of this spot and all the set ups lately. Birdy there probably has all of the Shanties thinking you're Vox and the source of their problems." The tiger is glad of his second hand coat and borrowed face when he hears Arimia's assessment of the guard. Probably wouldn't be good for her to know there was a Lightbringer here. "The fox has it right, boss," he says, somewhere between Arimia and Johnny, "We'd better get out of here!" He hurries forward to apply a little bit of first aid to keep the gull from bleeding out and a bit of ebon (discreetly acquired) to keep him docile.

Issi flicks the little blood on her blades off, keeping off to the side. Shanty Town politics are not her strong suit, or politics in general really. She's mostly still here just in case she needs to stab somone else, or they need a somewhat incompetent mage for whatever reason.

Johnny lets the feline do his thing before he flatly says "I don't know you. Let's all leave, now. Sure, of course we'll be bringing him to the guard, less he bleeds out on the way." Johnny says with a laugh as he grabs the bird and drags him down the stairs, moving swiftly towards the gate, and off towards the alleyways if no one attempts to stop him. The hippo pulls out a pistol a crossbow as he stares at Cassidy, a rather large one, which he slowly attempts to line up. He puts it away as a few city guard start muscling through the crowd, causing quite a few folks to book it.

Fenris shakes his head as Johnny drags the gull away. He's pretty sure that this is the last he will see of the gull, and hopefully of the Vox. The tiger is glad of his disguise even more now after Johnny's cold words. The feline slips quietly away. He would make a full report to the guard later. His contacts would be able to fill him in on the aftermath.

Cassidy smiles happily once she sees the city guard start to come in, going to jump off the roof, using her windmath to keep her from landing too roughly. "Ah, good! You're here! You've arrived just in time, too. The crowd was getting restless. Nearly shot me, they did."

Arimia watches as Johnny starts to move, then turns her attention toward the crowd, spotting guards pushing their way forward. She pulls her hood up, slipping her dagger and bow back under her cloak, and makes her way toward them. She takes a moment for them to get closer, then speaks up, "Good of you to finally join us. Some idiot was spreadin' rumors 'bout the Vox bein' here or somethin'. I don' think that had anythin' to do with what was actually bein' done here. See, myself an' my fellow Freeswords had gotten a postin' from some concerned citizens 'bout this here buildin' bein' used to make an' distribute Ebon, an' they wanted that stopped. But... This bein' the shanties they don' quite trust the guard, you know? So they hired us. It was a bit more violent than I'd have liked, but we didn't have much choice, what with them attackin' us on sight." Her eyes flick over to Johnny as he disappears into the alley and she waves a hand at the building. "You'll find where they were makin' the Ebon, an' somethin' else I don' recognize, up on the second floor."
