Oh, it should go without saying, don't hurt the crowd?" The rabbit looks the group over for their answers, Curt, Gert, and Terry already moving forward, Ray stepping back to prepare adjustments for the ring. Cedric is handed the paper to sign.<br> <br>Cedric nods a little as he takes the paper and begins to sign it with his name and clan. 'Cedric, Graceful'. "Understood." he says simply in reply to the rabbit's guidelines, as he hands back the sign-up sheet and turns to give the opponents another glance. "Wow... heh. He does look pretty worn out. No complaints here." he condones the choice with a wide, silly grin.<br> <br>Angus nods. "No crippling, no torching, no whining. Got it." Looking at the assembled group again he grins, shaking his head lightly as the ring is adjusted. He didn't have much else to do as he waited. "So Arimia, which one do you want?" He asked, flicking an ear in the Raccoons direction as he stands there.<br> <br>Arimia nods her head slightly and says, "Don' get knocked out, don' hurt 'em too bad. Got it." She tugs on her golves, making sure they're secure. Once that done she reaches up to fiddle briefly with her soul pendant, setting a stone fully in there. Shortly after from her back tentacles start to grow, slipping through holes in her vest apparently made for them. "I'll take the one who fights dirty."<br> <br>Terry offers a polite wave to Arimia, giving a half hearted smile before he drops his arm and looks away from them, his eyes resting on the floor. He moves to start finishing the ring afterwards. Gert listens to the group with interest, just grinning. "C'mon squirt you can face me. I'll give your little yapper a run for it's money." He adds flexing before he moves to shove about the wood and finalize the ring. Curt just stands there, watching the group. "Well it's a joint match, if you find time to swap targets or gang up on someone that's your business you know..." he says with a sigh. "But, you should probably keep your focus on someone at all times, preferably the one everyone else isn't looking at, you know, so they don't surprise you and change the tide of battle." Curt rubs the back of his head and looks to his brother. As the ring is finished Ray steps aside, leaning against a wall and smiling, the others move to spread out in the now mostly room sized arena, room for spectators is diminished slightly.<br> <br>"Hmm." the badger dark lancer says thoughtfully, giving the remaining two one last look before making up his mind. He points his meat tenderizing hammer in the direction of Gert, the larger toad. "Gonna take 'Tubbs the Tender Toad' here if it's all the same?" he says as an aside to Angus and Arimia. "He looks like tons of fun." Cedric says with a poker face and an even tone.<br> <br>Angus stretched lightly as he listens to Curt. "I'll keep that in mind." He mutter, not really paying attention as he prepared himself. Small talk was over, time for action. Walking into the ring his mind is already focused on the task, mentally reciting a weak calculation of water that Mira had taught him, one that allowed him to move more freely and to evade blows.<br> <br>Arimia flicks her ears slightly and moves into the ring, looking as though she's listening to something. Humor is gone from her features, though she isn't scowling either, simply looking ready. She idly checks her gloves again, before stretching lightly and saying, "Right. Let's go."<br> <br>Gert laughs at the tubbs comment, grinning and laying a hand on a hammer, he waits for the signal to go. Curt faces Angus to start with, he readies himself with a few stretches before grabbing a hammer out and resting it on his knee, in a downwards position. Terry waves once more and continues looking down, standing across from Arimia. "I ah... alright ready." he says and pulls out two hammers, getting ready to defend himself. Terry looks up and stares moreso around the entire group than directly at Arimia, making a few mock swings with his hammers before on the second to last mock swing one of his hammers flys out of his hand, directed at the raccoon, who is grazed but easily guides it along their body, letting it exit the ring completely as it moves along. The party is beset by his gaze however, their bodies feeling slightly more sluggish and less forceful.<br> <br>Cedric starts incanting the calculations for some dark math, attempting to drain the vitality of the larger toad, Gurt.<br> <br>Arimia rolls her shoulder slightly after the hammer grazes her, tentacles weaving about her, and says, "Gonna have to hit harder than that. I'm used to punchin' bone dragons to death." She moves forward, eyes on Terry, doing her best to ignore the effects of his gaze. After she gets close enough her fist moves in a blur, striking the opponent with what she hopes to be a disorienting punch, before starting to speak some math, albeit an unsettling and twisted sort of math. <br> <br>The sluggish dazed feeling is not helping Cedric out anyway, added on top of his already throbbing headache. He needs something to lessen his burden, and with the help of some math he may be able to take it directly from the muscular toad. He looks like he could spare a cup or two. He tries to speak quickly, figuring out the numerology necessary for this.<br> <br>Curt wastes no time, hammers taking up both hands he holds them like them like they were extensions of his arms, moving in close and flailing twice in quick sucession with the metal objects at Angus, who dodges them both. As he steps back a lil tired he kicks backwards, completely missing Cedric.<br> <br>Gert quickdraws his hammer and runs at Cedric, not aiming for him precisely, his hammer swing comes short and he stomps the ground with all his might, unsettling the badger.<br> <br>Angus wasted no time going on the defensive as he backpedaled out of reach of those hammers, dodging and weaving just out of their reach when Curt flails them. When Curt hops back and makes the foolish mistake of trying to kick Cedric he reacts, finally going on the offensive as he rushes Curt. Pressing forward he angles an open-handed blow underneath his oponnents chin, before he follows up by lashing out at the leg Curt was balancing on, hoping to send him crashing down to the ground.<br> <br>Terry blinks once at the punch, touching the impact site before he suddenly coughs up a noxious cloud that covers the middle of the ring. The initial widespread wave of it is terrible, it hurts eyes and throat a tiny bit, liable to knock folks to their knees if they're caught in it.<br> <br>Arimia finishes her mathemagical incantation, which hits Terry with a painful force, while leaving Arimia looking a bit better off  than she was. It also leaves the being weakened slightly, with wounds harder to heal. She falls back a short ways, though not far enough to escape the cloud, and prepares a defensive stance, while her eyes scan the basilisk, looking for weak points in his armor, and openings in his stance.

They struggle valiantly and this is met with a light blow to the head, before the toad gets tired of it all and pushes him out of the ring. "Ring out!" Calls a small clanned rabbit, who moves to prod the victor. "Good going champ." The crowd gathered presents mixed boos and cheers.

The toad laughs and raises his hands. "See! Not even a need for my namesakes!" he says gesturing to a few hammers strapped to his body."

Cedric had heard the call for brawlers, though he was undecided about participating. Maybe it would be a good opportunity to test out his skills, unsure as he was about them. The badger stood by patiently, watching the match between the guardsman and the toad with an expression of interest. This could be a lot of fun.

Angus had heard the call as well, and was only here to watch at the moment. As he was still uncertain about joining in, with a chuckle he claps for the two combatants and smiled, making a mental note to have a talk to the guardsman later about his performance. "Not bad!" He commented, turning to give Cedric a grin.

A short form slips into the barracks and glances around. It's wearing a heavy cloak, keeping the figure hidden entirely from view, save for a faint glow coming from under the hood. After the end of the fight the hood shakes, the figure shaking it's head, and a gloved, pink fingered paw reaches up to undo the clasp on it's cloak, letting it fall to show a short, pink 'coon, who some would recognize as Arimia. Though she has a crudely wrapped smoke of some sort hanging from the side of her muzzle. She walks over to the small clanned rabbit and asks, "Who'd you have signed up next? An' where do I sign up?"

The group of four meet up and laugh, nodding as they talk amongst themselves before two step out, one feline and one toad. "Alright that was good but you all have to have better than that, that was pitiful." The rabbit smiles at Arimia, quickly saying "Well! A fiesty small clanner?" as he looks their size over, quirking a brow and nodding. "Well you can sign up right now, they're looking for more challengers. We would run up to four at once but there aren't always that many fighters in here." He moves to grab some paper and offer it to the raccoon. "Here you go, and you can pick which one you fight. The big green guy there is Gert, the smaller toad is Ray, that bundle of ashy fur over there is is Terry, watch him he might fight dirty, and then his brother there is Curt."

"Not bad at all." the graceful clan Badger replied to Angus, giving a grin of his own in return, even despite the very unpleasant headache he'd been nursing all day. Still trying to make up his mind about signing up for a match, almost positive that he'd just embarass himself trying to use his spear nonletally. Then again, he did buy that hammer just last night. Maybe that would make a good blunt weapon? He'd seen Angus in battle before, surely this sort of thing would be his province? "So, you participating or just spectating?" he inquires curiously of the fox.

Angus stiffened as soon as the pink hand went up. "Oh...that's just grand." He muttered to himself with a sigh, things were just about to get more complicated it seems. Yes he was a skilled fighter, but to be honest. He was not a fan of nonlethal combat for sport. Cedric had caught the fox flat footed as he was in the middle of turning around to leave, and he just blinked at the Badger. "I...I guess I'll participate then." He responded a little reluctantly, not wanting to leave the badger alone. Especially with a certain pink coon in the room...

Arimia gives a small grin at the rabbit's addressing of her and takes the paper, filling it out. "I ain't a small clanner," she says, and when she passes back the the paper it's signed 'Arimia, Apostate.' She looks up at the four and looks about to speak, until the sight of Angus, and his unknown companion, which prompts her to change what she was about to say. "An' I'll get back to you on who." She turns and walks over to the fox, rather blatantly ignoring the badger for a moment, "Brat. You fightin'? They do group fights. If we can find two more we can take 'em all on."

The racoon is given an odd look as the paper is filled out and nods slowly. He waits for her return to select her challenger, the group looking her over and sizing her small form up. They look at the fox, the larger of the two toads giving him a thumbs down, pointing straight at him with the other hand.

Cedric nods in response to the fox's delcaration of intent to participate. He figured if someone he was at least -sort of- acquainted with was signing up, then he might as well. He looked towards Arimia at her approach. He'd never met the demure 'coon before, and wasn't familiar with whatever it was about her that caused Angus to hesitate. Of course, he was a little oblivious to the hesitation to begin with. Without waiting to be personally addressed, the badger speaks up, "I'll fight. I could use the practice, prob'ly." he says, leaving himself completely vulnerable to potential mockery!

Angus rolled his eyes at the Brat comment from Arimia. "And what makes you think I'll help y-..." Through his comment he had been smiling at Arimia, but the Toad's gesture caught his attention. "...Sign me up." He answered, that smile now pointed at the Toad, to be honest that brat comment hadn't sat well with the fox, and now he had a target to direct his displeasure at. In return for the gesture he gave one back, in the form of a thumbs up, before it shifted into a rather rude gesture.

Arimia nods her head at Agnus, then glances at Cedric. She looks him over, then gives a scowl and a sigh. She nods her head and gestures for the two to follow her before turning back and walking over to the small clan rabbit. "We got three. Think one of 'em is willin' to leave the little group of lovebirds, or are we gonna have to take all of 'em on?"

The larger toad grits his teeth and grins, laughing. "Alright squirt." he calls out, getting a few more jeers from the crowd. The rabbit looks the three over and passes the sheet to Angus, and when he is done will pass it to Cedric. "Sign up please, I don't see that being a problem. Let us adjust the ring after you sign up. Rules are simple, ring out, attempt to use lethal force, success or fail, attempt at serious injury, success or fail, admitting defeat, a lack of will to fight, or clocking out and taking a little nap will disqualify you from victory. If all three of you fight at once, as one is taken down the fight will be halted and reset, so any losses may be removed from the arena before it continues. All this sound good? If so, please select your three opponents."

Cedric follows Arimia towards the small clan rabbit, standing idly by as she speaks with him. He looks over the opponents, quietly sizing them up. He'll leave this decision to the others, he thinks. He's not really sure he'd have a choice in the matter anyway. Instead, he asks of the rabbit, "And mathemagic? That alright as long as it's not lethal?".

Angus signed his name, plain and simple. 'Angus, Graceful' Turning around he chuckles, and crosses his arms. "Well, this should be fun." He mutters, his tails twitching behind him as he eyes their competition. "Anyone want ugly?" He asked, pointing a finger at the larger toad. "He looks like he needs a nap."

Arimia lets out a soft huff and looks toward the four again. She says to Angus, "He do, don' he. Thing is, he'll probably cry a bit if we don' include him though." She pauses a moment before continuing. "We'll take ugly, Terry, an' his brother." She looks at the other two and says, "Any complaints about that?"

The rabbit looks to the other two to make up their minds, noting the mathmatical question and saying "Well again, no serious injury. A light flame might be alright, but don't torch them and expect to not get disqualified. Those fancy cutting winds are alright, long as they're simple... don't go crippling their organs please. Oh, it should go without saying, don't hurt the crowd?" The rabbit looks the group over for their answers, Curt, Gert, and Terry already moving forward, Ray stepping back to prepare adjustments for the ring. Cedric is handed the paper to sign.

Cedric nods a little as he takes the paper and begins to sign it with his name and clan. 'Cedric, Graceful'. "Understood." he says simply in reply to the rabbit's guidelines, as he hands back the sign-up sheet and turns to give the opponents another glance. "Wow... heh. He does look pretty worn out. No complaints here." he condones the choice with a wide, silly grin.

Angus nods. "No crippling, no torching, no whining. Got it." Looking at the assembled group again he grins, shaking his head lightly as the ring is adjusted. He didn't have much else to do as he waited. "So Arimia, which one do you want?" He asked, flicking an ear in the Raccoons direction as he stands there.

Arimia nods her head slightly and says, "Don' get knocked out, don' hurt 'em too bad. Got it." She tugs on her golves, making sure they're secure. Once that done she reaches up to fiddle briefly with her soul pendant, setting a stone fully in there. Shortly after from her back tentacles start to grow, slipping through holes in her vest apparently made for them. "I'll take the one who fights dirty."

Terry offers a polite wave to Arimia, giving a half hearted smile before he drops his arm and looks away from them, his eyes resting on the floor. As the ring is finished Ray steps aside, leaning against a wall and smiling, the others move to spread out in the now mostly room sized arena, room for spectators is diminished slightly.

"Hmm." the badger dark lancer says thoughtfully, giving the remaining two one last look before making up his mind. He points his meat tenderizing hammer in the direction of Gert, the larger toad. "Gonna take 'Tubbs the Tender Toad' here if it's all the same?" he says as an aside to Angus and Arimia. "He looks like tons of fun." Cedric says with a poker face and an even tone.

Angus stretched lightly as he listens to Curt. "I'll keep that in mind." He mutter, not really paying attention as he prepared himself. Small talk was over, time for action. Walking into the ring his mind is already focused on the task, mentally reciting a weak calculation of water that Mira had taught him, one that allowed him to move more freely and to evade blows.

Arimia flicks her ears slightly and moves into the ring, looking as though she's listening to something. Humor is gone from her features, though she isn't scowling either, simply looking ready. She idly checks her gloves again, before stretching lightly and saying, "Right. Let's go."

Gert laughs at the tubbs comment, grinning and laying a hand on a hammer, he waits for the signal to go. The party is beset by his gaze however, their bodies feeling slightly more sluggish and less forceful.

Cedric starts incanting the calculations for some dark math, attempting to drain the vitality of the larger toad, Gurt.

Arimia rolls her shoulder slightly after the hammer grazes her, tentacles weaving about her, and says, "Gonna have to hit harder than that.

The sluggish dazed feeling is not helping Cedric out anyway, added on top of his already throbbing headache. He needs something to lessen his burden, and with the help of some math he may be able to take it directly from the muscular toad. He looks like he could spare a cup or two. He tries to speak quickly, figuring out the numerology necessary for this.

Curt wastes no time, hammers taking up both hands he holds them like them like they were extensions of his arms, moving in close and flailing twice in quick sucession with the metal objects at Angus, who dodges them both. As he steps back a lil tired he kicks backwards, completely missing Cedric.

Gert quickdraws his hammer and runs at Cedric, not aiming for him precisely, his hammer swing comes short and he stomps the ground with all his might, unsettling the badger.

Angus wasted no time going on the defensive as he backpedaled out of reach of those hammers, dodging and weaving just out of their reach when Curt flails them. When Curt hops back and makes the foolish mistake of trying to kick Cedric he reacts, finally going on the offensive as he rushes Curt. Pressing forward he angles an open-handed blow underneath his oponnents chin, before he follows up by lashing out at the leg Curt was balancing on, hoping to send him crashing down to the ground.

Terry blinks once at the punch, touching the impact site before he suddenly coughs up a noxious cloud that covers the middle of the ring. The initial widespread wave of it is terrible, it hurts eyes and throat a tiny bit, liable to knock folks to their knees if they're caught in it.

Arimia finishes her mathemagical incantation, which hits Terry with a painful force, while leaving Arimia looking a bit better off than she was. It also leaves the being weakened slightly, with wounds harder to heal. She falls back a short ways, though not far enough to escape the cloud, and prepares a defensive stance, while her eyes scan the basilisk, looking for weak points in his armor, and openings in his stance.
