~You are not mine, but you call,~ Comes a new mental voice, firmer than Shaila's by far, ~How is it you speak my true name?~ Ah, a familiar visage, to some, the great deer like spirit with the patterned fur of dizzying complexity and intricate design.

Sveta shrugs. "You're forgiven, Selena. I get mad myself. But I will digress on camping out here - for one, I have duties at the Craft School to attend to, and secondly, whenever one of these spirits appears, Gifted like us appear to be called to them. If and when this 'Kendrac' chooses to manifest himself, I have the suspicion he'll announce his arrival similarly. Since these spirits do what they like, I have my doubts that camping out here in the woods will hasten his -" Sveta winces as the deer-like spirit appears. "Speak of..."

Mirana can't help but sigh, "Selena, please, I mean you no disrespect, you or Arimia, I... love you both, I trusted you both, and still would like to. No, I'm not blind that I have evidence of my claims, but, what would you do if, without them having any knowledge of it, hwo would you react? But... Selena, I do trust you, if you advice me to walk up to the king and summon my patrion, I'll arrange to do it." she says. When the new one appears she looks suddenly over to them, shaking quite a bit across her altered form. "Hello, are.. you kin to the Great Spirit Shaila?" she asks the odvious.

"Selena and Arimia, eh? Interesting names," Dio murmurs, looking towards the other two with a friendly smile. "'fraid I don't know too much about what's bein' discussed. Perhaps I'll have ta grab a summary later. Now if you'll excus-" The lion twists around, his attention suddenly caught by a new being entering the forest. "Wow," he says in astonishment. "Does this sort of thing happen everyday around here?"

Not having heard Shaila's call himself but having been on patrol somewhat nearby, Ictus blinks as he comes across the clearing, "What...?" then he notices the spirit and ponders a bit, "I must've missed something..." he blinks as he Spots Mira and blinks a bit more, "M-Mira? What happened to you?"

Selena quirks a brow at the familiar voice and looks over the spirit. "Simple. Shailah told us to ask for you." She replies to the spirit before recognising it's there. "...Well, fancy that." She mutters, then looks back over the deer spirit. "It's... Good to see you again?" She greets, still a little awkward. "Mirana, if I was you I'd start acting more like a mother." She replies with a decidedly bitter tone, then back to the deer - distancing herself from the fox. "You might be aware there's old one activity in Mossy stone. Dead from their graves..." A sigh as she continues. "And Many beings would like it back. So, I'll ask you this: What are your terms?" Evidently, the prior discussion has taken its toll on her either way.

~We are all kin, of a sorts. Though our tie to your kind is thin. I feel this will change over time, as we dance around the sun, our link will become something great, or all will be lost. I am Kadrac.~ It says the last as if tired of its name being mispronounced, ~Why do you call me? Do you wish to give yourself to me, and accept my path?~ It is a tall being, imposing, majestic, and seemingly fully capable of righteous fury, unlike the gentle and loving Shaila. This is one that one could call a god easily. Its speech is much more direct than the first time it had appeared, and it seems to speak only for itself, rather than serving as host for all spirits at once. ~You wish to combat my brother?~ it asks, ~Are you ready to take up arms, to strike at the foulness and purge it so that pure things may yet grow again?~

More patroling, more combat. Angus mutters as he follows Ictus into the clearing, and blinks. "Um...what?" This was something new to him, as he turns to the spirit and just stares, completly confused. Looking around he notices a few familiar faces, before his attention is drawn to his sister and her new look. "okkkaaayyyy, anyone mind telling me whats going on? As I have no clue."

Mirana hears Selena's words and sighs, "You have a point Selena, I... I was wrong, and you have my appologies." Then she hears Ictus and looks over to him, "Ictus! What, oh Ictus.." she says, and would run over to him, except she is sure her dress wouldn't survive it, so instead she walks genegerly, "Ictus..." she says again as she presses into a hug on her fellow fox. "Remind me to talk to Father about the... formalities of what I intend." she says coyly. She looks back to the Deer and smiles, "This spirit's... kin, I've taken a, pact with ... it." she seems to have as much trouble with gender as Dio was having. When Angus approches, she is about to give him a similar, but muted treatment she gave Ictus, when she stops, "Angus... something, isn't right." She says, eaching up to her new ear ring.

Sveta eyes the spirit and forces herself to stand her ground. "Selena had questions for you, noble spirit. Although I personally am not sure I wish to walk the path you propose. I would rather outwit him. Less blood, and less messiness that way. But still, the questions she asks you, I would like to hear the answers to, too."

Issi looks up from her hiding spot at the new voice. Another spirit? She keeps herself low, with more new appearances making themselves known. Today could be worse... Yet somehow she doubts that.

"If we can guess their names, perhaps we can just call out everyone," Dio jokes, sitting down upon the floor and crossing his legs as he looks towards the new arrivals. "Hello there lads, suppose we haven't met before. Angus and Ictus is what I heard? We've met two of these things today," he points, gesturing towards the rather impressive god figure. "Hmm, so a possible battle to reclaim loss territoy is it? Seems quite interesting.

Ictus looks at Angus and shakes his head, "These spirits have been coming in lately." he motions to Kadrac before he blinks at Mira again and blushes as he returns the hug, "You have? What... What happened?" he looks her over as if trying to see if something happened with her other than the earring, and new sizes. He looks at Dio and nods slowly, "Another one?" he asks confusedly

Selena nods to Sveta. "Apologies, Kadrac. It would make both of us, but we were told you were also the one presiding over wisdom. And if that wisdom can end a conflict with as little blood as possible, then yes. And... Could you explain the antlers you left behind? I'm still at a loss for what they're meant to be for." She replies to the spirit, surprisingly unabashedly. The arrival of Angus goes unnoticed until Mirana brings up his name. "Angus? What brings you out here?" She asks, distracted from a moment, the irritation and bitterness faded.

~You have forged a tie with Shaila, and in so, an indirect tie to me. Your words reach me, and I am present.~ The deer like being, Kadrac, levels a finger at Angus directly, ~You may prove your sincerity by purging this disease to start. You, agent of my lost kin, you are bold to stand before me. Do you carry message from them, or is there no reason to delay in your dispatching?~

Angus blinks, and his fur stands on end as Mira says something is wrong, and then the spirits finger is leveled at him. He was to be purged? Not going to happen, his hand travels down to the blade at his side and glares. "I'm an agent to no one. And carry no message, I did not come here to harm you." Great, first time he meets one of the spirits and its already trying to kill him.

Mirana backs slightly away from Allistar, and Ictus by default, "Something... isn't right... who.." then the words from Kadrac reach her, "No! Please, this humble one asks of you Great Spirit, before we, dispatch him, may we have the chance to... heal him first." she asks, looking over to the stange fox. Her skin crawls, and she wants to just reach out and take the wrong away, but, something makes her recoil back. She looks very sad, as a mother who just learned of the loss of a child. Unsure of what to do, but trusting in Shaila, she eventually walks, carefully up to Allistar and does just what she feels she should do, hugs him, tightly.

"Yes!" Dio shouts, nodding at Ictus. "There was a another spirit that, I must admit, was quite the looker and gave me the pillow you see here." Within his hands, he reveals the small pillow in question, giving it a few firm squeezes. "Disease?" The feline looks towards Kadrac, and then back at Angus with a slightly concerned expression. Slowy, he approaches Angus with long strides and soon lands only a few feet from him. "You gotta disease there, fo- Whoa!" He shouts, immediately jumping back after seeing the flash of a blade. "Careful now! We don't gotta get violent here."

Ictus blinks at Kadrac and shakes his head, "No, you will not hurt Allistar here... As he said, he is an agent of no one but himself." he looks at Mira curiously and hmms, "Can it be done?" he looks to Dio and nods, "I see, and you could say that I guess..."

Selena glances back at Angus again with a surprised look. "Excuse me?" She asks the spirit, pausing for a momen to double-take. "...Angus isn't the kind of being to join hands with your 'brothers', unless I'm severely mistaken - a moment?" She comments, moving over to the fox. "Ok. Angus, Do you have any chakra relating to the old ones on you, or anything else?" She asks with a sigh, calling back over her shoulder. "After our last meeting, I doubt he'd have come here if he was aware of your... Stance on the matter. I can vouch for him unless he's gone off the deep end. Is there something I should know about how the old ones operate, then?"

The spirit seems unphased by any exposed blades, ~Your allies seek your cleansing. What say you?~ Kadrac asks, staring at Angus, into him, gazing with those eyes that have seen more years than most beings can count. Its dense muscles are tightly corded under the fur, as if poised to some great act.

Issi was of course right. Things could get worse. She moves through the grass away from Allistar, combat was the last thing she needed. Unfortunately she stumbles making haphazard ruslings in the grass, landing flat on her back with a small "Ouf."

Angus is....hugged? That was not what he expected and he blinks at Mira, his blade arm now trapped as he snears at Kadrac. "Yes, I do have a chakra piece related to the old ones Selena. And I do believe that I'm still in my right mind." He had never faced a spirit before, didn't even know of it could defeat him in one blow. But that doesn't mean he wasn't foolish enough to try if it came down to it.

Sveta frowns at Angus. "What is the meaning of this, Allistar? Why is everyone acting so strangely? And why does everyone call you Angus?"

"Old ones? Chakra pieces?" Dio scratches lightly at his head, his hand flowing through his mane for a short while as he attempts to comprehend all the additional information and new faces. Certainly an interesting time to walk into town. "I'm not quite sure yer in tha right mind der, fox-kit." A large finger slowly comes towards Angus, poking at his stomach as he crouches down and chuckles. "Wanna duel a spirit or somethin'?

Mirana retracts her hug, and squarms slightly, "Cast it aside! Remove it and be gone with it!" She says, in a way, stern yet loving. "It brings you great harm, more then you could now." she says still not recognising her brother, till someone calls him by name, "Angus!? Young man, take that evil thing out of your pendent this minute!" She shouts to her borther, then looks to Ictus, "I'll explain everything after this is solved."

Ictus looks to Allistar and shakes his head, "Allistar... Don't challenge the spirit, you don't want to throw you're life away do you?" he frowns before he nods to Mira in acceptance, "Alright." he looks to the others with a sigh

Selena shakes her head, moving over to the fox. A calculated gesture and a crack runs through the center of the old one's jewel, enough to deactivate it for the time being - completely ignoring Mirana's tirade. "You can put your sword away and start explaining yourself. You don't fight this kind of being unless you want to die. Even I can tell that, and I've backtalked them."

Kadrac brings his large hands together, and draws them apart. A finely raught staff materializes in the space vacated, both of its ends capped with wickedly sharp looking bits of jet black metal. As he grips it firmly, it begins to glimmer with a pulsing green energy, matching the bright green patterns in his fur, ~You have been asked a question out of consideration for my sister's only caller. Answer now, or I will presume it. Do you wish cleansing?~ Despite the tension in the air, Issi's fall is noticed by the deer. With a soft wave of a hand, she is quite suddenly lifted up, the ground cradling her and forming a chair for her in an upright position. Strange priorities, this spirit has.

Angus turns his gaze to Dio as he is poked, and sighes as Mirana lets him go and wants an explanation. But when Selena breaks the jewel set into his pendant he blinks, and snarls as he turns his gaze to Kadrac. "Cleansed? Cleansed of what, the old ones taint? Of course I do! I wanted to get rid of it the second I heard the voices, the second I drew breath again. But you know what, if I didn't use that chakra piece I wouldn't be hear talking to you. I would be dead." He stares at the staff and then to Kadrac before he sighs. "I didn't want to die..."

Mirana looks to Angus sternly, "Keep your hand from that sword, and answer my patrion's brother, dear brother of mine. I'd.... I'd weep till the end of my days..." she says, biting her lip softly at the possiblities. Looking over to Issi, she gasps slightly, and nods to Kadrac, "You are as kind as the one I call..." she says back to him. Once Angus speaks up she holds him tightly, "Tell me whta happened, after this is done..." she says to him, and looks to Kedric for his answer to what Angus says, then, she draws Ictus over to the embrase as well.

"Nobody wants to die, fox-kit," Dio chuckles, suddenly rising from his crouches position and staring at Angus with a warm gaze. "After all, look at me." The lion points to his dense array of scars covering various spaces on his face and hands, little hints of scars showing through the space provided under his linen shirt. "I've had many a close call in my travels, fox-kit. Ya just gotta move on. And look at that!" Dio backs away, smile growing even brighter after seeing the loving embrace. "Looks like you gotta lovely family too. How nice. I don't know much about what you're sayin', but it sounds like they're worried about ya."

Selena looks back to the fox and tilts her ears back. "You should've told us..." She sighs, giving the fox a stern look, though her tone's more of concern than anything else before she looks back to the spirit. "If I had the ability to do so, I'd have offered to cleanse him. If I knew that he was hearing things, I'd have tried to find help sooner." She says with a quiet sigh. "This is why I'm seeking you out - so things like this don't happen in the first place. So they don't have the chance to, or so they can be fixed."

Sveta leans back against a nearby tree and ruffles her feathers. Clearly, her and Selena's questions have been forgotten by the spirit - and rightfully so, considering what's going on with Allistar. Or Angus. Or whomever he really turned out to be. No wonder she'd felt something was off about him at their first meeting...but everything in good time. Once this 'cleansing' is dealt with, perhaps the questions can come.

The spirit is gone. Then he is back. Skipping through the intermediate distance, Kadrac is before Angus, already bringing down his staff in what looks like a killing blow. As it pierces Angus, pain, then a fiery heat explodes outwards from them. Any Old One influenced chakra begin to shatter in a cacaophony that sounds like a house full of windows being struck with rocks, and they begin to fall to the ground in a pile of dust that is already fading away, being struck clear of existance in the mighty blow. When the spear-staff is drawn back, there is no blood, but Angus can feel where it jabbed with a soft aching despite the lack of physical wound. ~Do not surrender to their foul temptations again.~ It says, like a firm father berating a folish child.

Ictus hmms? at Selena and nods in agreement before he blinks at the spirit, "As long as it doesn't kill him." he looks back to Angus and nods in agreement, 'No one ever does." he looks to Mira as she embraces him and smiles a little as he returns it before he looks to the others with a nod of agreement. He blinks at the sudden blow and winces as he expects Angus to drop dead...

Mirana listens all around to everyone, even more so Dio, "Yes... I love my brother... more brightly now then I've ever known before." she says, and, once the spirit's strike takes the horrid taint of the old ones from him, she gives a slight squeel of glee, and hugs him tight enough to actually deny him air! She relents quickly enough though, and stand there. Turning, she gives a curtsey to Kadrac, "Thank you Great Spirit Kadrac, for helping to restore my brother and allowing my family to stay whole." she says. She sighs softly, slightly tired from the events, "So much to discuss, but... I believe my friend Selena has many questions for you Kadrac." she says, moving back to be with her brother and cousin once more.

Selena flinches back a little as the spirit makes his move, then puts a hand to her forehead. "Well... Kadrac, you have my thanks for that." She says quietly, looking back to the fox, hesitating for a moment as though it's taking quite a bit of willpower to force the next few word out of her muzzle; "I... Accept you, Kadrac, if you would have me. The old ones are our mutual enemy, and the questions I have are mostly answered by that... incident. I already mentioned Mossy stone, and there's only so much we know. Input from someone touted as wise among you spirits would be invaluable in taking back the town with as little blood as possible."

Angus blinks, as he is embraced once more and sighs. "It wasn't a close call. I did die, the old ones brought me back." He explained to Dio, shaking his head as the voices only seem to get worse as he stands there. He could feel everyones gaze on him, making him cringe just a little as he lied to them all. When the spirit appears ever close to him he doesn't react, just stares up at him. But when he strikes the fox flinches at the pain and closes his eyes, before the chakra that he had shatters and crumbles to the ground. When the spirit withdraws he places a hand over were his wound should of been, and the looks to Kadrac again. "....I..I had no intention of surrendering, the I fought the voices.....But, thank you." He smiles for the first time since he walked into the clearing, and returns hi sisters hug.

Dio had his attention completely focused on Angus, not really paying attention to the spirit just behind him. And then, it blinked, now suddenly appearing right beside him and in front of his target of interest! "Whoa!" The lion shouts once more in surprise, hopping back and almost falling to the floor had he not caught his balance just in time. "Are all these spirits so sneaky," he mumbles under his breath, looking slightly annoyed and growing a little concerned for Angus. No blood? Observing the cute scene between brother and sister, the look of concern seems to float away, replaced with a hardy laugh and keen smile. "Certainly a cute little family you got, fox-kit. Enjoy it. Feelin' a bit better from whatever disease was gettin' ya down?"

Kadrac appears surprised a moment, ~You would still accept me, even as I strike your ally, even if for his own safety. Very well. I bid you to battle. I offer you strength and guidance. You will be my spear, striking at the corruption, guided by my hands to lay telling blows and bring balance to the world.~ Kadrac is thoroughly distracted now, moving up to Selena and thrusting forward his spear at her, sideways, offering it for her to take hold of. ~My path is one of pain and struggle, but you will protect your kin from worse. Do you accept this?~

Ictus looks to Selena and ponders a bit before he nods to Kadrac, "If you can grant me the power to protect my friends and family... I will accept you as well." he looks at Angus and nods as he pats him on the shoulder, "I know you weren't." he smiles a bit before watching the the ceremony with interest

Issi sits there on the dirt chair with her arms crossed, again saying nothing. She doesn't know what just happened, but apparently it was important. Hopefully this kind of attitiude was not one shared with her own kind, yet knowing her kin, it wouldn't surprise her.

Mirana hugs on Angus a bit more before looking back to Kadrac, "I have already accepted your sister's blessing Great Spirit, but this gives me questions, is it possible to accept the blessing of more then one?" she asks. She nods to Dio, "I.. should apologise for my rudeness.. I am Mirana Solacious, Angus' older sister." she says, patting Angus on the shoulder a moment. She listens to Kadrac's words, "To protect and fight directly, I don't think those are things I should do myself, but, I am still curious." she says.

Selena looks back over the deer. "He's not dead. That speaks volumes. I'll fight when I have to to keep the people I care for safe." She says simply, taking hold of the spear. "I told you when I saw you first. There are things more important than myself." The wolfess hazards a glance back to the others.

Sveta blinks and steps over to Selena. "Are you absolutely sure? If your questions are answered, then...well, I will not stop you. But I'm not sure if this is something to be taken in haste." She stands beside Selena and faces Kadrac. "Pardon me, great spirit, but as I mentioned before, I am not a warrior, even though I can draw steel when need be. I do not...burn for it, nor know it, not feel it, as I once explained to someone else. But I am sure there will be more of your siblings stepping forward to make their offers, and there certainly will be one more suited for me than the warrior's path."

Angus sighs and looks to Dio. "And I'm Angus Solacious, supposedly dead." Letting his sister go he moves to stand next to Selena. "Your correct Selena. I'm not dead, and I would like to offer my services to you as well. Kadrac is it, I accept you. I wish to make sure no one else goes through what I had."

"Angus and Mirana Solacious? Sounds like an awfully mighty family name." Dio rubs at his chin, looking at the family and taking in their features before shifting interest over towards the more recent stabbing. "This is certainly a more interesting turn of events. It seems everyone is just throwing themselves out to become a vessel," Dio chuckles, giving Angus a very light tap upon his shoulder. "I'll do things with my own strength, as I always have. Regardless, it's lovely to meet members of the Solacious family. Are there more?"

Taking hold of the spear causes the power to flow. The touch of the spirits on the body is abrupt and severe. In this case it manifests in patterns, brightly colored circles and patterns that spread rapidly over Selena's form, covering all her fur in the dazzling and intricate details that the deer possesses "You are mine. I am yours. Call me when you need me, as I will call upon you." With a sharp twist, the staff breaks, and yet, Kadrac is still holding his whole and complete staff, leaving Selena with a baton like half of it, one end still wielding that sharp black metal, his gift. Wait, he spoke that out loud. Who knew they could even do that. It looks to Sveta, ~If my path does not call to you, then it is not meant to be.~ No remorse there. It approaches Angus next though, looking at him severely, ~Your soul is raw and tender. You cannot accept me, not without risking all. You could die, or worse, as my power sears you while you remain yet weakened. Recover, and think long on the path you wish to walk.~ Not quite a no, but not a yes either, at least, not yet.

Lottie had been heading out into the countryside to test a few things. Her tail twitches as she walks, though... that's something of an odd sight. Curiosity definitely gets the better of her and she makes her towards the scene, hesitant, but not really too stealthily. She's really more of the bookish sort anyway. Speaking of which, her little journal is whipped out and she begins to try and sketch a rough layout of what she's seeing while probably just standing out in the open.

Ictus looks at Selena as he watches the exchange and nods to the spirit as he waits his turn, he looks to Dio and chuckles a little, "I am Ictus Solacious, so yes, there are more." he looks to the others and hmms as he looks around curiously

Mirana smiles up to Kadrac and looks over to Angus, "Just have Selena call Great Spirit Kadrac back when you are ready, my brother." she says, then she sits down, still trying to get used to her exagerated form. After Selena has taken Kadrac's blessing, she smiles to her, "It.. feels wonderful doesn't it, I'm unsure of what Kadrac's Blessing feels like, but... it is wonderful." she rubs on her belly a moment, "Very wonderful..." she can't help but give another soft, motherly sigh. New weight on her chest, and new hips, this will take some getting used to.

Angus shrugs at the spirits words. "I've already died once, but I will listen to your words. Thank you for your help." Smiling at Kadrac he turns to look at Dio. "Lots more, you just need to know where to look." He takes a few steps back to allow Kadrac some room to breath, and allow others to speak with the spirit as he crosses his arms.

Kadrac looks to Mirana, ~You hold her blessing well.~ He says, seeming to regard Shaila as female, despite her not female bits, ~Once, there were those who would walk many paths. This is the most difficult path of all. Learn the path you have chosen first, before you dare to try to balance two. We can be jealous creatures, even if I love my sister dearly. Our ways are different, that aside.~ Ictus' turn, and he approaches, ~You I do not know. Tell me, why do you wish to walk my path?~ asks the tall deer like spirit.

Selena shivers noticably at the odd change to her fur, noding back to the apirit. then looking back to Mirana. "I don't feel... different, to be honest." She replies, "And I don't expect anything else to change either. I'm still myself." After a moment she shrugs. "If I start going mad then Arimia will have something to say about it, I think." Stepping away from the spirit, she moves over to Angus and gives the fox a hug. "I'm glad you're okay."

"Nice to meet ya, Ictus," Dio returns, offering a friendly wave and a smile. "You lot seem like an interesting and loving group. Almost noble like, but I haven't seen much of those in my travels. Come 'ere, fox-kit." As Angus steps back from the spirit, Dio approaches the fox once more and stretches out his arms. Quickly, they descend upon Angus in a tight and friendly hug, assuming he doesn't choose to back away in time. "I have a feelin' we're gonna be good friends fox-kit."

Lottie murmurs to herself, snaps the book shut and steps into the clearing properly, then glances between all the sorts assembled. Adjusting her glasses, she raises her hand to her chin and stops short of saying something snarky. The book is carefully slipped into her pouch and she asks curiously, "What's all this then?"

Sveta waves Lottie over, content to shy away from all the commotion now that everyone else's caught up with Kadrac. "You're witnessing the manifestation of a great spirit and him accepting those who would walk in his way. As to what that entails...you need to ask them, they can give you a better answer than I can."

Mirana smiles again as Selena speaks, "Yes, Arimia..." she looks sad again, that same feeling whelming sadness. "Selena, we should talk, not here though. I know of your worry, and I don't mean to say that I could some how worry more then you do, and, I hope you could forgive me for whatever past transgressions I can't recall right now." she says, sadness easily heard in her voice. When Lottie walks up she gets up, slowly, and very carefully, then, carefully, the very much over endowed vixen curtseys, "HOw do you do, and yes, we are just... talking to the Great Spirits, as... odd as that must sound."

Ictus nods to the spirit as it comes to be his turn and hmms, "We've met before, but I wish to protect those I care about. I know that my path is not to be taken lightly, but in my eyes... It is one worth taking." he looks to Dio briefly and nods at that before looking back to the spirit

Angus is once again trapped by hugs, from both Selena and Dio. "Um...Thank you, both of you." Chuckling he hugs them both back and shakes his head, this was a rather intresting afternoon. "And It's good to meet you Dio, and I think I will have to agree."

In deeply formal tones, even if only heard in the mind, ~I bid you to battle. I offer you strength and guidance. You will be my spear, striking at the corruption, guided by my hands to lay telling blows and bring balance to the world.~ He thrusts forward the spear, sideways, ready to be taken by his new disciple. ~My path is one of pain and struggle, but you will protect your kin from worse. Do you accept this?~

Lottie looks to Mirana, tilts her head, pulls her glasses off and checks the lenses, then smiles to Sveta and says, "Spirits explain a few things at least. Always wondered about that sort of thing, library's section on it's incredibly small. Well, smaller than I'd like." She looks to the spirit in question, flicks her ears and hesitates before waving. He's busy, he can get to her when he's not, if. Though... "Excuse me, do you have a name or is that a rude thing to ask? Rules are a bit unclear on new things." she asks curiously while slowly edging a bit closer.

Sveta smirks at Lottie's comment. Or maybe it's not a smirk, it's too friendly for one. "We may have just met, but I can give you one piece of advice. Staring into a book is good, but stare too long and too often, and...people vanish." The goshawk sighs wistfully, as if remembering something unpleasant. "Yes, they vanish, all right. I can tell you that from experience. But why don't you go satisfy your curiosity? I have a few things -" she glares directly at Angus - "that I need to get sorted some time. Maybe not today, but some time."

Dio gives Angus one more quick squeeze before releasing and standing back up in a regular stance. "Certainly, fox-kit. Good to meet you too. I'll have to meet more of your family when I get the time." With a large, padded hand, the lion gives Angus a swift pat on the back. "I wish ya luck, those who decided to become a vessel. Certainly seems like an interesting prospect, but not much one for me." With a few tucks, Dio straightens out his coat and waves to the new arrival. "Another lass! Does this forest always have so many women around?"

Ictus chuckles as he hears Angus and the others before he nods to the spirit as he takes the spear, "I do." he braces himself for whatever changes may happen

Selena shakes her head, taking an even tone. "Mirana, don't. I think I made myself clear before and you've already proven that you're unstable in past, to put it lightly." With a roll of her eyes, she directs a gaze over to Lottie and furrows her brow for a moment before giving a smile in recognition. "I think I've seen you before - at the library?" She greets. "After that fiasco, it'd make things a lot easier to explain. Believe me - getting an answer from the spirits is like pulling teeth."

The power flows in a bright surge of green, overwhelming Ictus's form and carving into his fur with many intricate circles and patterns, just like the spirit has, and Selena as well. With a wrench, he breaks the staff, without diminishing his own, leaving Ictus holding the small baton with its black blade on one end. ~You are mine. I am yours. Call to me, and I will come. When I call, you will come. I neglected to mention.~ It looks towards Selena, then Ictus, ~Strike those of corruption when they are weak with the blade, and it will drive the corruption free. Strike true and for the heart.~

Mirana sighs sadly again, "Unstable.. I wish I knew what you speek of to make up for it Selena, but, I'm going to keep adventuring to as small a part of my life as I can, I've got... other concerns." she says patting her belly again, cooing softly. "But, I guess my actions will be a better indicator then anything." She says and watches as Ictus takes up the call next. She looks between Sveta and Lottie, remembering her scholar days.

Lottie gives Sveta a funny look and says, "I heard about that book, most of the family did. Doesn't mean the library's going to eat me. Funny as the image is. Besides, what a mean thing to say to a fledgling librarian. I'm Charlotte, though I much, much prefer Lottie by the way." Then she sidles over closer to the spirit, book out, starting to take notes. Selena's nodded to, "Yes yes, usually wandering the aisles.' She peers up from her book briefly where one might notice she's trying to sketch at least the spirit from angles, but she's also trying to cover the patterns a bit as well.

Angus smiles to Dio. "Trust me, the Solacious family isn't hard to meet. Just head to the manor, we are always there." Shaking his head he stumbles as he is patted on the back and chuckles, before he moves to the edge of the group to stand with his arms crossed. Allowing everyone else to speak, and possible to try and relax after his little cleansing.

Issi stays at the edge of the clearing but moving forward to get a better view of this strange phenomanon and Lottie's sketchings. She tries to be descreet about it, not wanting to call any more attention to herself than she already has. Today has been a very interesting day for her.

Sveta scowls. "Yes, yes, I'm Sveta. And I'm not talking about a book that eats people. There was a time not too long ago in my life when I wanted to know everything that there was to know, to learn everything I could, being a Gifted. And I did. But when that was over...no one outside, no, even some within the craft school had forgotten me. It's a long story. So yes, I might be mean, but there's no malice in it, I assure you. don't let it happen to you." Nevertheless, she keeps an eye on the proceedings as Ictus is marked. interesting...but yes, she's convinced - not for her.

Dio watches as a new person decides to become a vessel, watching with increasing interest. "It seems a large part of tha family has been touched by spirits. How interestin'," Dio comments, nodding his head and then snapping back to Angus. "A manor!?" The lion's voice grows in excitement in pitch, his eyes widening at the new. "I might have to visit this manor, Kit of Solacious. Surly der must be food there as well?" His mane dense head looks into the sky as a wave of contemplation flows through his being. "Bread..."

The spirit gives a slow sigh, ~I am not without limits. Investing in two has taken its toll. I must rest. Call when I am needed, and I will be there.~ He promises. He twirls his bladed staff and it seems to obscure his form, the blades coming closer and closer together, staff shrinking, and his form vanishing from behind it like the closing iris of a camera before it, and he, are gone, leaving nothing but his marked callers behind.

Ictus shivers at the flood of power and nods as he looks at the staff piece he has, "Very well, my aim shall be true and I will be there when you call." he looks to Angus and nods in agreement before he looks over his new pattern, not that he had much of one to begin with, he looks to the others as his patron departs

Selena laughs quietly at the goshawk's comment. "So, what do you want to be now?" She asks - then glances back to Lottie. "Well, it's a pleasure Lottie. I'm Selena, and this is certainly not the evening outing I was expecting." SHe chuckles quietly looking back to the spirit as he... implodes away? "...Well. That was sudden."

Mirana goes to her brother and cousin again, hugging them with her exagerated form, "It is so good to see you both once more." She looks over to Dio, Lottie, Issi, Sveta, and finally Selena. "The study of all things, it is a good endever, but, being out with friend and family more important." she says, smiling softly. "And I'll do all in my power to protect my family." she says, and watches as Kedrec leaves. "Rest well Great Spirit, I'm sure your followers will call when needed, and answer your call as well." She feels a bit tired herself, and leans against Angus slightly, quite a bit heavier then before.
