The badger scratches his head as he takes in the scene, looking to his fellow crewman and back to the two arguing. He doesn't really feel the need to ask what the argument is all about, as it seems perfectly clear to him. "It seems to have just been a simple accident, I'm sure we can just calm down and discuss this, yeah?" he tries to ask the two, diplomatically. Though... spoiled nobles aren't exactly his specialty...

Chance perks his ears at the sound of Rusty cracking their knuckles. Looking to the massive Croc, Chance was immensely thankful he was part of the same crew as them. As the fox rambles on, the weasel almost feels himself gagging, god this was worse than his home. He looks to the shrimp man, then the fox. "Look, it's just a shirt, thankfully they clean."

Rusty nods his head slowly. "Ai, it's probably best to walk away before things get out of hand." He adds in as he steps forward, looking to the guards that were near by as he flashes them a big, toothy grin. "We really don't want this to resort to blows do we?"

The guards tense up as the noble wheels around. "Are you threatening a noble? You threaten the livelyhood of sweetwater, I could have you taken in for that." he says with a snarl and then a toothy grin to rival Rustys. "Now back off, this merchant is done with his operation, and you are on thin ice."

Cedric shoots a glance at Rusty as if to say 'you're not really helping'... though he's not sure that's going to stop the crocodile. So he says to the Fox, clearing his throat. "No, no... no threats here. I think what my friend here meant was that it might be best not to become involved in a fight over such a trivial matter. I'm sure this merchant intended no offense." he says, trying to cool down the noble's temper. "I'm sure he'd be willing to apologize for his mistake, right?" he looks to the shrimp being.

Chance unconciously, moves a bit closer to Rusty, knowing that if things did head south, and fast, he'd rather have the big guy between him and the fight. Then as the noble turns on them and lashes out, verbally of course. The weasel very nearly snarls up at the fox "We're on thin ice," He smiles lightly "A Furtif is never on thin ice, not long enough for it to crack at least." He smirks, he didn't do this often, but this fox was really ticking him off...a LOT. He moved forwards slightly, wondering how they'd react.

Rusty balls his fists up leaning forward as his one good eye narrows, before Cedric shoots him a look and he calms a bit. He crosses his arms, shooting Cedric a glare at the mention of actually apologizing to the spoiled git as he sees what happens...for now.

"You're looking for trouble?! Go on, get out of here no one in their right mind would do that." the fox says as he stares at Chance and the rest, laughing to himself. The shrimp, winces, selling a bowl of something to someone he then says "No, no fighting. Bad business." as he waves the group away, getting a retort from the fox "You're closing down, I can taste your trash in the air, no one needs it anyways."

The badger sighs, this is going to be a chore, isn't it? Doesn't anyone on promise have even a little bit of common sense? "Look, he made a little mistake, he seems sorry about it, and all you're doing is throwing a tantrum about it in the marketplace like a spoiled little cub." Cedric says, with much more harshness than he'd had in his tone than before. "Word gets out about this, don't think anyone would be able to see anything other than a whiny little fox cub." he says, shaking his head sadly.

Chance leans on his staff lightly, a rather distasteful expression on his face, as if someone was holding something that stank under his nose. He frowns and sighs in a dejected way, "It really is a shame, I almost was a bit sorry to see the stain, but after hearing this, I think it suits your reputation just fine sir, they're both ruined."

Rusty keeps his arms crossed, remaining silent for now as waits to see how the foolish pup acts. He turns his gaze down to Chance, flicking his tail at the little weasel to bump them a bit before he turns his gaze back to the fox.

Just as it looks like the fox will have the guard who have been standing at ready take them all away, another fox, another solacious, comes running up to the scene. "Now now! Calm down." they say as they arrive, bowing to all present. "I'm sorry, he's taken too many blows to the head, he's a war hero you know." they say as the previous fox stomps again and orders the guards to arrest the assailant of a shrimp. "No excuses, you go now."

Well, that was different then. Maybe the Solacious couldn't really help his behavior because of it, but still. Cedric looks to the newer Solacious arrival, nodding, "I understand... perhaps it would be best to see your kin home?" he suggests as gently as he can, managing a polite bow and trying not to be threatening or rude about the suggestion. "This merchant meant no offense to your relation and has apologized... and having him arrested for accidentally spilling a bowl of soup? How would that reflect upon your house?".

Chance barely avoids stumbling as Rusty's tail thumps him in a 'light' for the massive croc, nudge. He blinks, not sure if that was a warning, or encouragement. The weasel blinks, and lets out a breath he had not realized he was holding. Looking to the newcomer, he bows, as gracious as he can manage. "Ah yes, that would explain things, though erm, I think he's trying to have that shrimp arrested for assailing him with spilled soup." The weasel coughs lightly, "I really don't think you need that sort of thing becoming the latest gossip, I've met a solacious, and have no desire to see such misfortune fall on your house sir."

Rusty taps his claws on his sleeve. "Would definitly look bad, especially since he was just selling food." He mutters as he loks over the new fox, another one? Where were they coming from. "Anyway, don't think we will be able to get that weird food ya both wanted to try."

A mumble, a flick of the tails as a young-looking, orange-furred vixen with very bright hair makes her way through the marketplace. The female is clad in a LongTech Industries uniform, and she's holding a clipboard of sorts in one hand, using the other to browse the raw materials stalled out, weighing them, observing them, checking their every property, before putting them down again.

Elsewhere in the marketplace, a different vixen was tucking a bottled concoction away into a satchel after offering suitable payment to the alchemist that sold it. Turning to leave, Cassidy paused only a moment to adjust her mask and hood before moving on towards the north before stopping dead in her tracks. My, that was an interesting looking fox. A little detour couldn't hurt, so she turned on her heeled boots and made her way closer, pulling up aside her as she looked over the materials, herself. "You seem to be hunting something rather specific, if all the notes you're taking is any indication." Completely nonchalant, yep.

"This one is... Indexing the market's wares," the vixen mumbles, turning her clipboard around and showing a list of prices and at least ten categories of quality-marks. "This one is not currently looking to buy anything, though. All this one is doing is taking stock and looking for suppliers, yes."

Cassidy touches a finger to the near-featureless mask, a gesture of thoughtfulness. "Ahh. Yes, I suppose for someone in your line of work..." She eyes the other vixen over, humming softly for a moment before gesturing vaguely. "Whatever that might be. It's large scale, I'm assuming, judging by the organization's uniform you wear. But yes, I imagine you'd need more in quantity than what is available in the market. What're you looking for, exactly? Metals? Stone?"

"Metal, wood, gems, all sorts of things," the vixen mumbles, flicking her tails again and showing several of the pages. "This one is also seeing who the suppliers are, so that we may buy our materials straight from the source," she mumbles, before flipping back through the notes and making another few notes.

Cassidy hums again, standing up straight as she folds her hands behind her back. "You know. You've got quite an interesting look there. Seldom do I see a fox so... Orange. And that brightness... Quite unusual. And I see quite a lot of foxes, you know. Might I ask your name, miss?"

Name? Ah, yes... A name... "This one is... This one is Valeria," she mumbles, looking a bit distracted, before flipping through her papers again, silently. "This one is almost done with her round of this part of the marketplace... Will need to schedule an appointment for Lady Flora at the church as well."

Cassidy turns her arm to the side, offering a gloved hand. "Valeria. Hm. Nice to meet you. I'm Cass. Or Silver. Could be either, really, as long as the mask is on. You work for Flora, then. I do not know her too well, myself. Seen her a few times. Never really had the chance to have a real conversation, though. Seems like an interesting sort. I must ask, if I may. How did you get your hair to have such a sheen?"

Valeria nods and flicks her tails, her ears twitching just lightly. "This one works for Lady Flora as her personal assistant. This one has been scheduling the Lady's appointments and doing various things as she rests," she explains, her tails curling lightly around her legs.

Cassidy rubs the chin of her mask again, nodding. "I see, I see. An assistant! Quite a busy job, truly. I used to have one of those. Sometimes I still do, but they often... Get in the way. At least when you're the sort determined to do all of your own work. But I digress. You never did tell me of your hair! Was it a local alchemist's product? Perhaps something in the works at Long-Tech? My hair isn't quite as light, but if I could get a shine like that..."

A mumble, a nod, a flick of the tails. "This one has been... Told not to digress about that, just yet. Perhaps later," she mumbles, her ears folded back lightly as she looks out over the area. "Unless miss Cassidy were a LongTech employee, of course, this one was instructed not to discuss the workings of the company without prior permission," she explains, leaning back.

Cassidy chuckles softly and folds her arms. "I see, I see. Quite an unusual one you are, certainly! But I won't pry. All those tails, that incandescent hair... All of that in an -assistant- no less! Why, I half expect you to be a hero of a story, riding into battle in gleaming plate. Ah well. I guess Flora hires only the best, hmm?" Placing her hands on her hips, she turns her face skyward and inhales deeply. "Ah... Anyway. Unless you have pressing business to attend, I was thinking about stopping by one of the stalls for a bite to eat. Would you care to join me? My treat. There's a lovely merchant around here that sells the most delicious skewers."

Flora nods and mumbles lightly, her tails swaying behind her. "Lady Flora wants only the best," she mumbles, looking out over the area. "This one is quite busy, but... It is about time for a break, this one believes," she concludes after a moment of deliberation, nodding faintly and flicking her tails behind her again.

Cassidy clasps her hands behind her back and moves to shuffle off. "Wonderful. It's not far from here, just have to follow the nose," she says with a merry snicker, leading the way to what indeed seems to be a stall set up around a grill, with a hearty figured black bear serving up skewers of meat and vegetation, both grilled, naturally. "How many would you like, miss Valeria?" She asks, tugging up her coinpurse.

Valeria nods and mumbles a tad again, her tails swaying behind her. "This one isn't sure... A few?" she mumbles after a moment of consideration, still scribbling notes down on the clipboard even as she takes a nearby seat. "This one hopes you'll excuse her for continuing her work while eating, but there are lots of things that need to be doublechecked."

Cassidy hums for a moment and counts out the crown, offering them over to the cook. "Five skewers then, please. Two for me, two for the lady." As she waits for the requested skewers to be dished up, she tucks the coinpurse away and nods at Valeria. "Of course. I know how it is. I often eat on the go, when I'm working." When the food is prepared, she takes her own pair of skewers and tilts her mask up just enough for her to have access to the food.

Cassidy spends 100 Crown for RP reasons.

Valeria mumbles and watches Cassidy eat the food, even as she tries to figure out how it's supposed to be done in the first place... Doesn't look too hard, just have to eat it sideways.

It's quite clear this is not her usual sustenance, though she doesn't seem to dislike it all too much, tails still flicking behind her as she jots down a few notes about the food as well, by the looks of things. "This one will have to show this food to the Young lady Lina as well, this one thinks. Lady Flora tends to stick with fruit and chicken, but this one thinks she might enjoy these skewers as well."

Cassidy pauses in her otherwise quiet meal to raises her brow. "Hm. You can generally have it made however is pleased, but... I'm not sure how well fruit would be with it! But yes, spread the word! I'm sure he'd really appreciate the business," she says, gesturing towards the bear with her half-eaten skewer. "And if the skewer itself is hard to eat from, it can also be scraped into bowls or plates and eaten that way!"

"This one... Did not quite mean it like that. Lady Sveta prefers all our food be prepared in-house. This one can understand, what with the dangers of poison, unsanitary methods of preparation, and such... So High Lady Longtail sends this one out to find other things that could serve as food... And this one does it on her own, too," she adds with a big grin on her snout.

Cassidy strokes her chin for a moment, finishing off her food before tilting her mask back down. "Ahh, yes, that's a fair concern. But that is why I'm quite fond of this fellow here! He tends to grill it all up in front of you, so it helps in making sure nothing was slipped on without your notice. He's been a good sort to me. He even cuts me in on some deals, since I help supply some of the game for cooking. But others... Yes, it does pay to be cautious. Especially for someone like Flora. She's got quite a few enemies. But hey, don't go putting yourself in harm's way for them, hmm? Everyone's life is important. Even an assistant."

"But... That doesn't mean you know if there's anything in the meat, no?" Valeria asks after a moment of consideration, smiling faintly and nodding again. "This one should see about arranging Lady Longtail's meeting at the church, though..."

Cassidy shakes her head. "No, you can never be entirely sure. It's hard, yes, but you learn to trust your instinct! Sometimes you just have to take those risks, you know? It's no fun living your life in paranoia and fear. But I won't keep you any longer. It was a pleasure meeting you, most unusual Valeria. You have a good day now! Give Flora my regards, hmm?" She gives a polite wave and a little bow before raising her hand to her mask as if stifling a yawn. "I should get home, myself. It has been a long day!" And with that, she turns and starts to shuffle off, lingering just long enough to hear any parting comments.
