A fine Wednesday, as September rolls towards an end, a special Noon Mass has been announced, where the startling message from the Creators will be the topic of discussion for the day, to be deliberated on by the community after proper analysis of those versed in the Creators' tongue. People have filed in, filling the place a bit more than usual, eager to be the first, though others are happy to have their turn in the coming days.
Ryusho would arrive, currious though, he already knew a bit, from what little he had been able to read on the day that the message was found, and was partly here, and wondering if they would tell indeed what the message had said, or if they were going to change it in some way...as he still remembers what the first bit was...and the 'date' that was upon it...
Moroko files in along with the others to the chapel. He has a book out clearly preparing to take notes. He does pause a finger flicking some dust off his robe. He smiles lightly as he looks around the crowd curiously for familiar faces.
Arriving behind Moroko is Orso. The rather large bear stops behind the lupine mage, resting a hand on his shoulder as he glances around the area with some interest. Looking down at him he says, "So this is it? I wonder what they'll end up saying."
Rogna strolls into the noon mass, eager to hear the news of what they have deciphered. He wears his priest soul gem, coupled with the soul gem of a Dark Knight, although it is masked well enough. The priest soul gem itself is not so much a show of respect, but a source of insight into the matters they will present. He takes a seat and waits for the proceedings to begin.
Peril was unusually quiet arriving at the church, coming on her own without the usual towering escort. Taking advantage of her shorter stature she moved to the front of the gathering, taking up the most likely position to ensure she got a good view of the proceedings not that it mattered much given the message was all that was important to her. As she waited for things to really get underwear the little feline yawned and stretched, her attention drifting about the others gathered there, looking for any familiar faces.
Zevran enters the chapel along with the crowd, carefully moving his considerable bulk to find a spot near the front of the crowd. He glances around, attempting to spot anyone he might recognize.
Walden the Armadillo looks absolutely thrilled to be here. He looks like he's stepped away from his work just to come here; he's certainly dressed for some craft work. At least his apron and clothes are clean! "Oh, I can't believe this. This is going to be so amazing!" the jovial fellow exclaims gleefully.
Sveta skulks into the chapel, the goshawk looking a little cleaner and less soot-speckled than usual. Sure, she hadn't been around for when the message was received, but it's hard not to catch wind of such things in Firmament and she's turned up, if only to find out the ending to this particular story. The crowd doesn't seem to bother her too much, her looking quite distracted as she wanders off to find a good spot to hear and watch.
The priest attending the Noonday Mass is older and higher in rank than usual. She has a kindly smile, and waits patiently as the loud bell tolls softly across the city, summoning all faithful to come to the mass, or stand in respectful silence.
Zero, being what he is, waits until most of the crowd has formed before slipping in. Strolling over towards the shadows, Zero attempts to avoid others as much as possible. Reaching his destination, he relaxes agains a wall, looking around the area with interest.
Felix manages to scoot in at the last few moments before the bell tolls, unarmed and unarmored the Deer probably wouldn't stick out too much. As such, he stays nearer the back, listening quietly as to what this important message might be.
Peril eyes the priest suspiciously while folding her arms behind hr back, the little cat tail swaying slowly back and forth as she waited in silent anticipation of what was to come.
A sudden stir. A well dressed man with armed entourage bursts through the door, mid complaint, "...think they can withold this from us!" he says in a righteous tone of voice, full of indignation. Looks foreign, wearing an Adaptable Folk clan seal at his belt, the wolf like man imposes on the proceedings, "You will not be keeping this discovery to yourselves. It belongs to ALL of the Creator's children."
Walden fidgets in anticipation, glancing around at the priest and the surrounding congretation. Spotting Felix, he shuffles over to stand near his friend with a smile. He nods to him, but he stays respectfully quiet. And then the sudden outburst makes him shudder and nervously grab his arm.
Rogna looks back to the distruption and shakes his head at them, feeling entitled is one thing but barging in on mass complaining is another. He eyes them a momenet longer before turning back to the priest.
Sveta blinks, her talons instinctively reaching for where her crossbow should have been, then remembers she'd left it behind in the workshop. Turning up to noon mass with a weapon isn't the smartest thing to do, although it's exactly what this newcomer has done. Still, she doesn't remember anyone screening the faithful and only allowing the selected into the chapel...
It's at this moment that Felix regrets, at least partially having not brought his equipment with him, although Walden's sudden presence is somewhat reassuring. With the amount of others here they surely wouldn't try anything, at least he hopes! He just stands there and waits to hear what is said, or done.
Zero cast a glare towards the other wolf, giving him a silent snarl
