Walking up the stairs, she stops a moment and, making sure she is the first up and no one around yet, switches out her soulgems, replacing her scholarly one for her journeyman one. As she does so though, she feels a sharp pain, and falls to a knee. She quickly closes the locket again and hides the scholar gem quickly in her leg pack, but can't overcome the pain panting as she tries to recover from it. She is still kneeling there, eyes wide when Angus and Ictus come up.

The door leading to the Iguana-Dragon's room is guarded by a couple of beings, one to each side. The door itself is unlocked and can be opened by anyone after one is cleared to enter. The guards are Chapel Knights, one a bear with the other being a dragon of indiscernable base origin.

Ictus blinks as Mira goes down on one knee and goes to her side, "Are you ok?" then he looks at the knights with a tilt of his head, "Is everything alright?"

Angus was already moving as he noticed his sister kneeling. "Hey you need to be more careful, you don't want to reopen your wounds." standing next to Ictus he kneels and put a hand on her shoulder. "I will carry you if I have to you know." he then looks up at the knights and smiles. "Good evening gentelman, we are here to see Mazurek."

Jera sprints into view, signature swirls of wind accompanying each step to help him run faster. He stops dead as he sees the chapel knights, bringing a hand over his heart in a salute before listening to Angus speak. "Just in time, as always?" He finds the mood to smile, despite everything.

Mirana takes a deep breath and, holding her head, stands back up, leaning on the wall and her staff for support, "I'm ok, just a bit of dizziness and a headache, I'll be fine." She lies, shaking her head a moment. "And yes, heere to visit with Mazurek, is he well enough to have visitors?" She asks, "And I'd like to check him over myself." She says pointing to the Priest and Journeyman badges sown onto her left shoulder. "Maybe I can help him in some way that others have not?" She ignores Angus' offer to carry her, starting to pull from her leg pack a small basic medicine kit.

The guards do not pay attention to Mirana much while she is on one knee. Angus, however, receives a nod, "You are all cleared to enter. Do not expect any response from him, however, for he has been sleeping peacefully since the bear had treated him."

Ictus frowns at the lie and nods, he doesn't press the issue for now though. He looks at the guards and nods, "Thank you." as he opens the door to step in, he looks at Jera and waves to him as well

Angus just nods, still giving her a worried look, and lets her up. "Okay, if you think you fine." Turning back to the guards he gives them a slight salute. "Appreciate it, and don't worry we'll make sure to wake him up if we need to."

Jera nods and stays quiet for now, keeping his bow and leaving his quiver behind at the door. "Well. On we go then." He finally adds.

Mirana says nothing more to the group, but once the door is open, she walks into Mazurek's room and starts looking him over. From her med kit she pulls lenses and other tools to inspect Mazurek's wounds closely, while insuring any dressings or medicines that were applied are still working, clean, and not in need of changing. She 'humms' or 'ahhs' or 'oh by the.. wow..' a few times as she looks him over and checks the damage done, making sure to be light so as to not aggrivate or disturbe Mazurek as she works.

Entering the room, the first thing that is noticed is that the dragon...is bound to the bed in spread-eagle fashion, his tail also secured to the frame. He is not wearing anything other than bandages, which are very clean and look to have been very recently dressed. His eyes are covered in patches, covering them neatly but can be lifted if one desires. His midriff is covered in one large bandage, keeping him modest yet still showing some overall detail. His chest slowly rises and falls in the grip of slumber. Looking under the bandages will reveal a very disturbing sight. Each one that is lifted will let everyone there be able to see...that the dragon has been heavily mutilated. A good bit of the damage has been healed, but even that is but a mere fraction. Muscles lie exposed, and some of the damage is very close to being deep enough to have organs on display, as seen by the wounds suffered over the genitals. What might be the worst offender, however, is when the eyes are revealed, for the eyelids are completely cut away to reveal nothing but the eyes themselves in all their glory. The pupils are dilated, completely enlarged just like one would expect from one who has been in the dark for some time. There is no response to the exposing of the eyes other than a slight twitch of the head and a snort.

Ictus watches Mirana check Mazurek's injuries, he's seen it all before but is still amazed by how fast he is recovering. "I'll never cease to be amazed by the Growing Folk..."

Angus just shakes his head as he notices just how hurt Mazurek is, and all he can do is stare in shock. He had seen worse...but that was only on the recently departed, mutilated in the most perverted way by Lord Regar and his minions. He shut out his sorrow for his friend as he lied on the bed and his eyes narrowed. Turning to Jera and Ictus he smiles weakly. "When Mirana is done checking him over could you make sure she goes to bed please, as I'm heading out....With Mazurek out of the picture until he heals the Lightbringers are down a man and understaffed." Turning back to Mazurek his eyes flash with anger. "And I'm going to make sure whoever did this damn well doesn't get the chance to do it again..." Turning around he walks briskly out the door, his shoulders rigged and all but thought of vengance were pushed from his mind.

"I'm back." Jera tells Angus with a sigh. "My training is over." He offers a silent prayer for Mazurek, seeing his injuries, then turns and heads for the door.

Mirana shakes her head and sighs, she hadn't seen anything this bad and the patient still be alive. She oes her best to apply salves and bandages to Mazurek's exposed muscles, to clean up any ichor and infection, and finally, provides a drought of pain suppressants, knowing, alart or not, the dragon must be feeling a lot of pain right now. All the while Mira's body radiates a gental warmth. She wipes her brow when she is done working, "That is the best I can do with my small kit, and I didn't bring my full kit with me cousin... goodness me... creator's bless this one and impart great skill on anyone who tries to help him." She says as a short prayer. "I'm just a few doors down, and I'll make sure to have my full kit read if he starts to go bad. Knock on my door, day or night cousin, and I'll come running, even if I have to leave in my night gown." She say before heading out herself, stopping only a moment to say, "And... if you need anything with your brother... come get me too, you won't have to wait any longer then it takes for me to get my eyes open."

Ictus nods to Mirana and hmms, "I will, and if you ever need to talk... I'm open as well." he smiles before heading out as well, closing the door so Mazurek can get some rest
