Saibh thinks she hears a familiar voice, tilting her head for a moment before shrugging it off, figuring it's the crowd. She holds up a short sleeved dress, deep red this time and holds it against her fur before asking the merchant, "Sharp enough contrast you figure?" before sighing at the shrug, probably having been through this a few times. She sets the dress aside and fishes around in her kit for the pouch of crowns and starts to unwrap the opening when she looks back, offers a smile and a cheerful wave to the vixen. "I'm surprised those still fit. How're you feeling?" as she sets the crown on the countertop, keeping her fingers firmly around the tied opening. "Uh, right, I'm well for what it's worth! Just uh, got Selena and Arimia's thing coming up, their uh, thing. I want to look nice for them"
Mirana looks over Saibh a few times, "Look nice for them... for their.. oh.. so they decided to do it!? I remember a few mentioning that they were thinking of... getting bonded. I... I wonder why they didn't tell me?" She looks a bit downcast at the news. She sighs a little but then looks back up, "Well... I guess an invitation just got lost or something..." She looks around the market again and wonders, "Well, how are you doing of late? Any changes with you?" She asks, also gesturing to her clothes, "As you can tell they don't fit well."
Saibh looks over at Mirana and nods, poking through the clothes one last time in an attempt to hide some embarassement, "Yeah I think so. Uh.. you should talk to Arimia about it if she doesn't run in terror at the mentioning of it. Or if I uh.. well, nevermind" She then turns and offers a bit of a smile, "I'm uh, doing well enough other than new work and erh... A-uh, yeah"
Mirana sighs again, "Well, I wouldn't want to intrude... it is their day after all." She looks around again, "And new work? What kind of work?" She ponders. Off in a nearby stall someone starts to shout, "Lunar Dust! Direct from the moon itself, fallen upon the farms outside of our fair city! 200,000 crown a bag! Come get them!" Many people gather around to look at it, but none seem able... or willing to buy it. Mira's ears twitch a bit though, "Hear that? Someone has Lunar Dust? And they are selling it?"
Saibh taps her fingers on the tabletop and rolls her shoulders back, then says, "I uh, work over at the." She leans forward and murmurs something to Mirana, then rubs the back of her head. She looks up to the sky at the comment of Lunar dust, looks to Mirana and asks, "Is it real or is it some funny colored silt that someone found? I'd.. be cautious of that" she then gestures over and says, "What do you think, dress or clothes?"
Mirana looks over again at the barker, "True.. but then again, I'm not unskilled at identifying materals myself." She says. She looks a bit shocked over to Saibh when she mentions where she works, "Really? Umm.. well, if you need crown.. or just a job, or a way to be.. well more social, I can help, do you play an instrument?" She asks. Humm... she thinks a moment, "I really think you look nice in a dress, so I'd... well.. I'd say that, and... give them my regards, on their big day..." She shakes her head with a sigh, "Come with me, I'm going to check out that dust." The barker continues, "No one? No one for 200,000? How about 150,000 a bag!? 150,000 crown for a bag of Lunar Dust!"
Saibh looks at Mirana and says, "I'm pretty bad at identifying that stuff really. I can tell you how good some wood is and maybe a bit on messing with metals, but for the most part, uh... yeah, no good." She then pads over and looks at Mirana quietly, then slowly reaches out and pats her shoulder and says, "I could use all of the above, I just wanted to try something else out, besides it.. it's really not so bad" She then leans forward and says softly, "You're worrying too much, just, just give it some time, I'm pretty sure you're not being left out of it okay?"
Mirana shakes her head, "No, it is Miss Arimia's way, but... it is also my fault, that was so stupid..." She doesn't mention what was so stupid but just walks over to the barker, "Let me see that dust please!" She says and is handed a small sample bag, "Ok there Lady, just be sure you don't try to walk off with it, it is the real thing!" She opens the bag up and looks at it, shifting it around in her hand, nodding a few times, then looks back up to the barker, "It is fairly low grade! Trying to con us all?" She winks to Saibh, "I'll tell you what, I'll give you 90,000 a bag to take it off your hands and see if I ever find a use for it in my smithing, it might let me add some Divine Math to my works if I use enough of it." She whispers over to Saibh before continuing. "How does that sound?" The barker laughs, "90,000! No less then 125,000!" Mira's turn to laugh, "No less! No more then 110,000!!" The barker looks down at her, "Ok! I'll give you a deal, seeing how you are a Solacious noble! How about 120,000, but only because of all the deals I've had with your house!" Mira shrugs, "In the interest of future deals, I'll be willing to go 115,000 and the promise to buy all of your bags at that price!" The barker looks a bit taken aback. 115,000 was lower then he really wanted to go, but the peacock doubted he would sell more then one or two bags, "Sold! 5 bags of lunars for 115,000 each!" Mira smiles and whispers again.
Saibh offers a weak smile as she watches Mirana work. She holds her hands up and says, "Low quality huh? Warned you didn't I?" she's glad the crowd's about, helps hide that she's winging it. She then pads a bit closer to get a better look at both the merchant and the work going back and forth. Standing on her toes to get a head on the crowd, she mutters as she's blocked off by a large folk and instead slips over to meet the pregnant vixen halfway there. Her ears perk briefly at those whispers, then she leans in and returns the whisper, hoping it's audible enough with the commotion
Mirana continues to lead Saibh away a bit, trying to find a more quiet place, eventually ending at the clothing sections of the market again. "Need to learn to dance? Oh! I can show you, or Miss Ariella.. or Miss Bite, they are all really good dancers, but I can do well myself when I have to." She explains, "And a piccolo, that is a small flute! It has a very high pitch to it, and sounds heavenly when played right.. or.. like a child screeming when played wrong." She giggles a bit, "And I'm not making anything! These will be used to help me study creator tech some more. I have read some writing that tell that these crystals make the spirits of the Creator's alters happy, so, I'm going to keep a few on hand to help me with my studies." She explains, then turns back to the clothes, "You know... maybe I should pick something out if Miss Arimia and Selena do decide I should go... or.. maybe I could come as your guest?" She wonders, "But... I've not much eye for fashion." She admits.
Saibh rubs the back of her head and watches the vixen for a moment, turning red, then murmurs softly, "Well, maybe you should play the piccolo wrong a bit, get used to the sound?" She laughs softly, then glances down at the ill fitted leathers before she adds quickly, "Creator tech? I was uh.. Oh! Speaking of things beyond my understanding, I was looking into learning a bit about golems. Mostly out of curiousity, but also, just in case." Shifting her weight to her other foot, she adds, "And if you'd like to teach me, I'd be happy to learn. As for the clothing.. I would, it can't hurt to be prepared a bit in advance right?"
Mirana giggles a bit, "Yeah.. I guess it would be a good idea to get used to the sounds!" She says, rubbing her belly a moment before murring softly, "Yuric..." She snaps back to reality a moment later, "Well. Golems aren't really my understanding either, but you could talk to Miss Arimia! She has golems herself, I've been mostly studying the alters and bodies of the Creator's Machine Spirits." she says. "As for teaching, ok, come by my room sometime and I'll show you want I know." About the clothing she smiles again, "Well, I'd need someone with an eye for fashion to help me, now, who do I know that would have that?" She says nudging Saibh a moment.
Saibh looks at Mirana and says honestly, "Good with fashion.. uh..." and starts to rub her chin. The girl can be quite dense sometimes. she snaps out of it long enough to lok over and says, "I was actually talking to Arimia about the golems, but uh, figured you'd, huh. Well I was thinking of what I said the other night about the golems, have you seen or heard anything weird since then? The shadows aren't out on the wall so if my guess is or uh, was wrong I'm utterly out of ideas"
Mirana shakes her head and pulls at Saibh, "Saibh.. help me pick out some clothes!" She says very bluntly with a smile. "And as for the Solacious Golems, don't be talking about them so openly.. and I've not, everything is good so far. But.. I'm going to stay on my toes, I don't want anything happening anymore then you do. I hope Ictus and Angus did their jobs." She says then gets to eyeing the clothing, "What would one in such a condition as I look best in you think?" She asks.
David putters around from one stall to the next, seeming to be comparing wares as he looks over the stalls, he hmms? at the two ladies and waves friendily as he approaches the stall. "Hello there." he smiles a bit
Saibh looks at the vixen, then over at the clothes, then back at the vixen as her ears flick back. She sighs and asks softly, "Well do you uh, want to show it off or downplay it? I'm really no good at this sort of thing though I promise you" She then steps towards it and says softly, "Though you know if you're really wanting me to help pick something out, how about I uh, well, we could find something that looks a little more coordinated at least"
Mirana waits as Saibh seems to decide on things, "Well, it needs to fit for a Life Bonding, and I'd like it to be .. well.. good for me to use at my own. I already have a lot of clothing." She explains, "And I'm willing to bet you are better at this then some noble who's had her clothes picked out for her for more then half her life!" She says, "And.. I don't know... I kinda like showing off, but.. not too much, I still need to at least look like a proper noble lady," she says sighing abit, "even if I don't like it." When David walks up she looks at him curiously, "Hello? How are you then? I don't think we've meet, Lady Mirana Solacious." She says to him.
Saibh looks back to the otter as he greets them, then she blinks and leans over to Mirana and asks, "Another retainer?" before leaning back and offering him a wave, "Hiya" she offers simply
David hmms? at Saibh and tilts his head in confusion, "Retainer?" then he looks to Mirana at the introduction and blushes furiously, "Ah, forgive me mi'lady... I'm David Matthews, Growing Clan." he bows as he's still blushing with embarresment
Saibh looks at the otter and says, "Growing clan huh?" she then smiles and offers her hand out, "Saibh, uh, graceful" certainly not social. She looks back to Mirana and says, "You've seen how I dress, I don't even fill out dresses, I never worried about it" She then turns brighter red and murmurs, "Oh yeah, not alone now" She looks between the stall and Mirana quietly for a moment then says, "Well, Green would probably look nice on both of us I bet.."
Mirana sighs a bit, "Stand... stand up proper I say, do I look like I expect everyone to bow before me" She says gesturing at her figure, the bump of a bun in the oven, as well as her clothes, while clean odvious ment for hard work. "Do that if we're at court or in front of my family manor, and no where else." She scolds, "And Clever Clan myself, Priestess and Journeyman." She says, her voice coming back to its usual soft kindness. "And.. green? Oh, what kind of green? A deep green or light green? Do you really think it would go well with my fur?" She asks, seeing how she doesn't have her full dress on, her fur pattern is evident on her tails, face, and head.
David nods to Saibh and smiles as he straightens at Mirana's command, "As you wish mi'lady." he nods to Saibh as he firmly shakes her hand, "Nice to meet you both." he ponders the conversation and hmms, but stays quiet for now
Saibh rubs the back of her head and flicks her ears back as she says, "I uh.. well, green would look nice. A pale grey with the right kind of trim would too I bet" she shifts from foot to foot looking ready to bolt before adding, "I uh, well with your fur dark green" She finally says. Looking to David she laughs softly and says, "I think we're both terrible at relaxing huh?"
Mirana sighs a moment and shrugs, "Ok, formal it is." She looks over the selection of green dresses, "You know, I bet I could alter some of these to fit you very well! And, maybe to be a bit more showy for me without being too much?" She ponders a moment, making sure the bag of Lunars she just baught is still safely in her pack. "Ok, how about you pick out a few and we try them on? Just for the colors? And I can alter them later?" She offers. "And David! Of course we will need your opinion too." The clerk holds up a hand, "Make sure if you try on the merchantdice, that you don't get anything on it mi'lady." Mira shakes her head to the rhino selling the clothing, "Of course, it will be clean as if it were never used, or I'll have it cleaned and returned personally."
David chuckles and nods to Saibh, "I suppose so." he hmms? at Mirana and blushes a bit, "Well... I'm no expert, but this is for a lifebonding right? Aren't dresses traditionally white?" he ponders that and shakes his head
Rogna strolls into the marketplace, his cape flowing behinid him as he approaches a rather lavish looking stand. They appear to be selling fine materials for clothing, and he examines each with keen eyes.
Angus whistles as he walks into the marketplace, his hands in his pockets as he glances at a few wears. Stopping at a weapons stall he examines a few of its knives and other light weapons.
Saibh looks through the dresses and says, "I can't get pants right? Has to be a dress?" She then flicks her ears back and murmurs, "Still gettin' used to wearing them really" Though as she talks, she's thumbing through the grey dresses. Checking over her shoulder, she says, "I.. guess I wouldn't look as good in grey if you're after that idea." Looking to David after, she suddenly says, "Wait wait, is that right?" she then stops herself, hoping her backwater accent didn't flare up too bad there.
Mirana looks abuot the dresses, "White? Well.. I guess they usually are.. but I'm not exactly.. well pure anymore in that way." She says with a blush and a giggle, "But, green and gray.. that would sound very nice! But.. humm.. for you? Well, what do you think David?" She says. As Rogna approches though, she gives a very slight curtsey, remembering that he didn't like such things but still feeling that she should do something. "My Lord! What brings you out here? And how are you doing?" That is when she notices Angus in the distance eyeing weapons and she smiles, almost squeeing! "Oh, please My Lord, excuse me a moment, and excuse me Saibh, David." She says as she gracefully runs over to Angus, "Dear brother! Why ever would you want these things, come here, come here, I have something for you." She says, trying to bring Angus back along with her.
David blinks as the nobles come pouring out and frets a bit before focusing on Mirana with a hmm, "I... Suppose that's true." he looks over the vixen with a critical eye and ponders as she moves to greet her brother, "Um... I suppose a light brown might match nice, though that might be a bit dull." he thinks a bit and shakes his head, "I've never been good at this, mother just had me pick up her dresses." he hmms a bit
Rogna laughs and nods, allowing Mirana to fetch her sibling without a word. He awaits her return before he beings to speak to her. "Well Miss Mirana, I am in the process of deciding upon a new cape for formal occasions. It occurs to me that I shouldn't be using the same torn and tattered cape that I wear everyday, in battle or in leisure, for important events." The hippo eyes the fabrics once more and shakes his head as he moves on to another section. "Might I ask, what you are doing out here?" he says before offering a smile and a "Hello there" to David and Saibh.
David then notices the time and shakes his head, "I need to go, I have work to do. Sorry mi'lady, mi'lords. And see you later Saibh." he smiles and waves before he practically flees
Angus turns as he hears Mirana and smiles. "Hello sister how are you....what these things, I'm just looking for a few new weap-" He was rather suprised as she starts to drag him. "Um okay ya sure." As he's dragged back to the group he gives Rogna a wave, and when he notices Saibh he smiles. "Hello there."
Saibh looks to Mirana and says, "Well.. maybe two dresses? I know you were thinking one dress for both, but it would be nicer to better fit the dress when that day comes right? I uh, your-..bleh" She then looks confused and asks, "Who the hell're you cal-.." she looks over and spots the familiar hippo, still not fully putting two and two together as she offers him a wave and says, "'lo there!" David's given a wave then she looks to Angus, grins and walks over to him, stopping just short of giving him a hug as she remembers the crowd and all. "Hi" she offers a bit dumbly
Mirana pulls Angus along to the rest of the group and then digs though her pack, pulling out a twin set of daggers, "Here you go Angus!" She says handing them off to her brother. "And, that would be a good idea My Lord, something to match your royal self, maybe Saibh here has an idea?" She says, then noticing Saibh's sudden change, she looks over to Angus. Before she continues though she gives David a wave, "See you another time then David." She then whispers to Angus, before addressing Saibh again, "Well, you are the fashion minded person here, whatever you think would look best?"
Rogna smiles and shakes his head. "Matching my status would be unappealing, I have no reason to boast." he says with a nod before casting his cape back and looking to Saibh. "However I would like to hear an opinion on the matter, Saibh it was? What might you suggest for a more formal cape?" he asks, looking over the seemingly dumstruck marten and fox with interest.
Rainer strolls through the marketplace with thumbs tucked into the waistband of his pants and eyes half-lidded as they scan across the fare of the day, his ears largely deaf to the pitches of the merchants. He stops at a fruit stand, though, picking up something shiny and red, giving it a spin and an upwards toss with a flick of his wrists, flipping a crown to the stallkeep before plucking the plummeting produce from air and ambling right into the middle of the group of aquaintances. "...Sup." Chompchewchewchew.
Angus definitly did not expect that when his sister places two wicked looking blades in his hands. "Wait what?....." He stares down at them for a few seconds before he smiles at his sister. "They are lovely, thank you." His ears twitch when she whispers to him, and instead of answering he walks up to Saibh and gives her a hug. "Hello sweety, how have you been?" He chuckled, as he wondered if his sisters question was answered.
Saibh shoots a look of frustration at Mirana as she gets roped into trying to help out what'shisface. She never has gotten his name and... well she's at least figured out he's important. That's an important step forward for the marten. She shifts from side to side and says, "I uh.. honestly..." she turns a faint shade of red, considers, considers some more and shrugs, "I rightly have no idea." She starts to turn to Angus, then stops and adds hurridly, "My lord?" like she's not sure of the idea. Then she's hugged by an Angus and she returns the hug, turning an even brighter shade of red as she murmurs, "Sweety? uh! I'm well though! How about you sw-... how're you?" she asks eventually
Mirana looks to Angus and Saibh and giggles, "Brother.. with ... oh my." She blushes and hugs them both, making sure they are all the tighter when she is done. "And, I hope you two make each other happy." She rubs her belly a moment, "Guess continuing the line is going to be up to you two then." She says with a chuckle, "But, I think our shopping is going to have to be done then Saibh, I know being with Yuric has that effect on me." She admits, blushing even deeper, "So, I'll hope to see you in my room for your dance lessons and to continue our chat about clothes!" Over to Rogna she says, "My Lord, you should be in something that tells of your great adventures I think, something too royal wouldn't fit you, I agree." She says. As Rainer approches them and just gives a 'sup' she looks more then slightly annoyed, "Angus.. do remind me, to whos house is he a retainer?"
Rogna bursts into laughter at the informality shown by Rainer, before he composes himself and says "Well if it were a boast to adventuring, which I'd hope not to perform, my current cape would do all the better. It speaks of my trials and it's wear, each cut a story." He smiles and shakes his head at the two lovers, saying "I believe the creators work in strange ways. You might see nieces and nephews and relations soon enough."
Angus trys not to laugh as Mirana hugs them and forces them closer. "Hey now, I only asked her on a date. Nothings happened yet." He cocks his head and sticks out his tongue at Saibh. "I'm good, just recieved a few suprise gifts from my sister today." Turning to Rogna he flashes a grin, then notices Rainer and smirks slightly at Mirana's comment. "He's Solacious of course, and after what happened with the undead I think he's more then earned his pay....and a reprieve from your wrath sister."
They all seem awfully busy! Too busy to even notice him standing there, for the most part. But unlike the fellow pulling his strings, Rainer can't take a hint, and opts to just stand there practically hovering over Angus, Saibh, and Mirana's shoulders as the trio share an embrace, noisily chewing on his bit o' fruit, swallowing, biting off another chunk, more chewing. "You don't want to go adventuring in a cape." he helpfully offers Rogna, between mouthfuls, "Just gets snagged on every little branch and bramble." He casts a sideways glance to Angus as the fox actually doles out praise to him, smirking.
