The market place is bustling, strange accents are abroad as vendors shout out to grab the attention of passing folks. Candle light and music can be heard as the merchants work their magic, light strings play and the occasional sound of a horn can be heard, and the jingle of crowns everywhere. New smells emerge randomly from prepared products, vibrant colors and odd sights are abound.

Selena makes her way into the bazaar quickly, looking rather surprised by the variety that seems to be on display around her. The wolfess looks around the place, taking in the sights for a moment before taking a more serious look for any stalls housing commodities - particularly imported leathers, jewels and arcane reagents or inks.

David wanders into the market and blinks at all the new stalls, he ponders a bit and wanders over to a food stall curiously. He doesn't really say anything but just looks around in wonder, it may be his first bazaar

Cedric wasn't out shopping for anything in particular, he was there wandering from stall to stall taking in all the wares of the bazaar and making a lot of puzzled faces; either when he couldn't figure out what -exactly- something was, or if he couldn't decide whether or not to buy it. In some cases he just stood there for a while looking vacant before wandering to the next merchant.

Daniel had heard word of the bazaar being in town, and wondering why it had such an odd name, the little mouse had decided to join in on the fun. The stalls dazzled him, so many foreign goods that he'd never seen before. He searched his pockets, retrieving several different bags of crowns. At least he had the money to buy things with, but what?

Selena is barraged with waves and calls, but her serious searching leads her to a very calm gentleman, a rooster, who waves his hands over an assortment of gemstones, some on and some off jewelry. "Young one, I see you've taken an interest in my wares. Do you have something in paticular you wish to find?

Selena is barraged with waves and calls, but her serious searching leads her to a very calm gentleman, a rooster, who waves his hands over an assortment of gemstones, some on and some off jewelry. "Young one, I see you've taken an interest in my wares. Do you have something in paticular you wish to find?" he says slowly. Meanwhile, David is met with a toxic aroma as he approaches a stall, a barrel of dried food being opened and stuck on a stick, pushed at him. "Try some, you can buy when you see how delightful it is." says a shrimp folk. Daniel and Cedric pass eachother as cedric moves from one stall to the next, his next stall being manned by a tortoise selling strange hammers with grooves cut in them, a musical performer next to him going wild to try and earn some crowns with his soft but fast music. "These are for making your meat tender, you just give them a few wallops and it's ready to go." says the older tortoise. Daniel is approached by a fox, who dances about in place for a while before holding out a little bag. Seems they want some payment.

Selena seems to do a good job of ignoring the louder of the hawkers, taking an interest in the rooster for the more collected approach. The wolfess gives an appreciative nod, "Yes, there is. I've been looking for something specific - If you have any star sapphires? - though I'll take a look at what you have here as well." She replies, offering a hand out as her other produces a jeweler's loupe from her bag. "My name's Selena." With a smile, she gestures to the displayed jewels and opens the small lens's cover preemptively. "May I have a closer look at these?"

David winces at the vile scent and covers his nose, "Uhm, s-sure?" he takes the offered stick and takes a tentitive bite, not wanting to be rude or anything by not trying it... And mmms a bit, "Hey, this stuffs good!" he smiles as he munches on the sample, "What is it anyway?" as he pays for some

Cedric offers a polite nod of his head to the mouse as they pass each other, and he turns to face the stall with the literally groovy hammers. He browses the hammers for a moment, giving an appreciative whistle as he's tempted to buy one of the meat tenderizers. But what use would he have for a meat tenderizer? None right now... he's no chef. But what about the future? What if someday there's a need to tenderize meat, and he's caught without a meat tenderizer! That would be a tragedy. That does it. He absolutely must have one! "Well... I s'pose my meat could stand to be a little more tender." the badger says rather innocently before bringing his palm up to his face in embarassment once he catches it. "Ah... so, yeah... anyhow. What's the going rate on one of these?" he asks, quickly changing the subject.

Daniel returns the badgers wave before returning his eyes to the fox, watching with a smile on his face and clapping a bit before he reaches into one of the bags to drop a handful of crowns into their bag. It's the least he could do, he too was subjugated by the burdons of public performing. Heck, he still was, but he could at leas share his bounty with another who was most likely doing this longer than he was. He spies an odd set of facial wear, meant to rest on his face, with two stick things to go around the ears by the looks of it. Walking over, he tries them on... A perfect fit, and he looks at himself in the mirror. Hm, blurry... and more so than usual! He frowns a bit, he liked these too!

The rooster nods, saying "You can but i'll be watching closely. It's harder to enforce your laws when foreign bodies are involved so I'll be ensuring nothing goes missing, no implication intended. I just cannot take my eyes off them to procure my sapphires until you have finished, I do have a few, most are poor quality I'm afraid." he adds. David gets a swift response, and a sack of the dried stuff. "Criwa! We call them Criwa, I don't know what you call them, they're small, rubbery, and like to eat hard shelled things." The shrimp says as he collects the crowns. The tortoise raises an eyebrow at the comment and hacks a chuckle, before clearing the air with a "For you? Twenty five crowns. Well made, cheap as a good meal, you'll find it perfectly fair." Daniel is given an interesting look by a kangaroo who waves in his face for a few seconds. "I don't think you need these kid, unless o'course you're already near blind, they might help."

Selena gives a nod of understanding to the rooster, carefully examining the wares at hand. "No, that's understandable. There are enough robberies in the marketplace already. Your wariness is appreciated, if anything." She replies, taking particular interest in red beryl, aquamarine and amethyst. "You have a good selection of these..." She replies, allowing her voice to trail off in a prompt.

David hmms? and nods at the shrimp, "Interesting, thanks!" he smiles as he heads off with a small pouch of them, after paying of course and grins to himself while he munches on one as he looks around at the various wares curiously

Cedric's eyes shift between the tortoise and the meat hammers for a few moments, as he considers the purchase for a bit longer. He lets out a quiet "Hmmm...." as he mulls it over. Eventually he manages to come to the decision to buy one, and reaches down for the coin purse secured at his belt. He sticks his tongue out to the side as he fumbles around for the twenty-five crowns. He takes the coins and hands them over to the tortoise. "I'm sold, here you are sir." he says as crowns exchange hands.

Cedric spends 25 Crown to: Meat Tenderizer!

Daniel furrows his brows a bit as he returns the odd accessory, rubbing his chin a bit as he continues to browse amongst the other carts. He squints sligjtly, his eyes were getting used to those things and now his vision was really blurry. He shakes his head a bit before he almost runs head first into another cart, staring at it's wares before arching his brows. Tunics! He grins happily, there had to be something in his size!

The rooster sounds displeased as he says "Robberies already? I don't at all like to hear this." He nods though, saying "They are from all over, mining operations, family herilooms that were scrapped, it is no meager collection." David is surrounded by food stalls, one squid folk eyeing him suspiciously from behind his array of flowers, the word "EDIBLE" written on the front of his stall. Cedric is met by a rather swift exchange, a hammer being placed in his palm and the crowns being sent away. "Excellent choice! Wallop it good for me." the tortoise says. Daniel is not immediately attended to, a passive, fat bellied serpent watching him as he eyes the wares.

Selena shakes her head. "Not in the bazaar, the market in general. It's always a bit of a shame to hear an heirloom was scrapped to put jewels into the market, but then again, jewelery is only useful for so much." She replies with a quiet sigh, pulling back from the selection and setting aside several choice examples of the stones. "How much would these cost me, sir?" The wolfess asks in a more upbeat tone, preparing to pat the rooster for the handful of stones laid in front of her.

David blinks at the flowers and tilts his head at the squid, "Edible flowers?" he approaches the squid and smiles, "What are these?" he looks to the flowers curiously and gives them a curious sniff

Cedric takes the tenderizer in hand with a courteous nod. "You bet!" he replies happily to the merchant before walking off to browse other things for sale, elsewhere. As he traverses the bazaar he idly slaps the meat tenderizer's blunt end against his fist, oddly satisfied with his new purchase for some unfathomable reason.

Daniel looks over the serpent's wares with more than a little curiosity, looking through a variety of clothes that would more than likely be robes on him. He frowns a bit as there seems to be nothing in his size, though as he reaches the end, he spies something. A black tunic with gold colored trimming around the wrists, waist and legs. He grins a bit, holding it up to himself as if to sample what it looked like on him. He liked this look, and he looked up at the serpent with a little smile, "How much for this?" He asks, rummaging through his bags to count his crown.

The rooster shakes his head. "Not just yet, I believe..." he says as he dips down into his stall, watching Selena carefully as he pulls out a bag. "I believe you came in search of sapphire, and I should first show you those that you might get your initial desire." He sets the bag on the table and nods to the wolf. The squid smiles. "Well they're ediible, and they're pretty. Four crowns and you can have one." she says to the otter. Cedric is approached by the same fox who did a dance for Daniel, and they do just what they did before, a nice dance in place before they hold out their bag expectantly. Daniel is met with a curious gaze and then a smile. "I can go no lower than one hundred crowns." he says sternly, although his gaze says he might be willing to haggle for the two piece.

Selena keeps her hands in view of the rooster as the bag is produced, nodding back to him. "Yes, star sapphires in particular. I could use some normal ones as well, though they're comparatively easy to find." She reiterates, carefully opening the bag before taking a look over the contents, looking over the stones critically. "I've yet to hear a name I should call you, though." She replies a little curiously.

David tilts his head at the flowers and hmms, "What do they taste like? Or are they all different?" he sniffs them again and tilts his head curiously, "I'll buy one..." he smiles as he hands over the crown and picks a flower

David spends 4 Crown for RP reasons.

The badger stows his meat mallet in his pack as the dancing fox approaches him. Cedric watches the performance for a little while before once again digging into his wallet for a donation. The jingle of crowns rattling in the coinpurse is heard before he pulls out a generous amount and places it happily in the vulpine's donation bag. He figures he's lucked out getting two jobs recently, and can afford to spare the money. After making his donation, the badger gives the performing fox a soft round of applause to show his enjoyment.

Quirking his brow at the serpent's gaze, he shrugs a bit as he digs through the rack again. He could afford the tunic, might as well see if there is a pair of pants to go with it! After some searching, he does indeed find the pants he's looking for... in a size too small. By the looks of them, they're supposed to hang off your form slightly, but with them being this small they seem like they'll cling to his body much like his cloth underwear, drawing a bit of a groan out of him. Still, pants were better than no pants, and he looks up at the serpent once again. "Ah... how much for these together?"

The rooster seems surprised to be asked his name, considering for a bit before saying "Al is what most folks call me. I believe you'll find a few in there, hopefully they suit your likings. I don't expect to see you again, at least for some time, I thought it'd be rude to introduce myself and leave your life so swiftly." He seems to rub his chin and smile though, allowing the wolf all the time they need. The squid eyes David longer and accepts the crowns, passing a flower to him. "Like flowers, soft, delicate texture with a flavor of plants and something sweet." The fox girl smiles wiidely and pulls something out of the lining of her pants, lifting her shirt to show a few of them are strapped to her body. She hands it to him, and then dashes off giggling. The serpent repeats himself, saying I can go no lower than one hundred crowns, the pants are part of the set."

Selena nods back to the rooster, looking over the jewels and methodically placing those with noticable imperfections or impurities back into the bag. "Ah, I see. It is a pleasure to know who I'm dealing with, with a range like this I'll certainly be asking for you if I need anything specific." She replies, leaving a pair of star sapphires and a single regular one on the stall with the other gems she'd set aside. "Now, on the matter of paying for these... How much would you charge for these?" The wolfess asks.

David nods and smiles at the squid folk, hmming a bit, "Is the entire think edible? Or just the blossom?" he ponders a bit and smiles, "And should I not want to eat it, does it require any special care?"

Cedric quickly puts his hands to his eyes as the fox girl lifts her shirt, two of his fingers moving aside as he peeks. Oh. H'd thought... well, it doesn't matter. "Oh... thanks!" the badger says as he accepts the item with a small grin and watches as the girl runs off. After she's gone, he turns his attention to the object she handed him, taking a closer look. It's a note with a handkerchief attached by a string. He reads over the note and smiles a little, before tucking them both away into his pack with the meat tenderizer. He continues on his way, whistling to himself and scanning the bazaar for anything else of interest.

Daniel grins, the price didn't change at all! He digs through the bag, fishing out 100 crown even and handing it off to the serpent with a smile. He looks over his outfit with a wide smile, sure it would clash heavily with his fur, but it's not like he cared, he was a magician not a fashion specialist. He hastily stuffs the outfit into his bag, they'd unwrinkle later, right now he had other things to be buying! He searched through more stalls, eyeing various goods before coming across the same jewler Selena is at. "Ooh, razzle dazzle." He murmurs a bit, eyeing the various jewels.

Daniel spends 100 Crown to: new clothes!

The rooster smiles. "Well first let me ask you how low you believe you should pay, for these." he says, his tone seems to imply he's more than open to negotiations. The squid says "I can trade you back if you would like one to grow, for three additional crowns. That one is storeable at room temperatures, preferably in moist air. The stalk can be eaten, I see no reason not to... it tastes a bit sweeter without the stalk." Cedric makes it a fair distance before more than your average clothes and the like come along. It is a musical instrument stand, outfitted with all manner of shapes and devices. Daniel is given a curious look as he outright accepts the price, but a nod. As he approaches, Al gives him a greeting, not at all unnerved by having to watch two folks intead of one. "Has something caught your eyes?" he asks, the razzle dazzle comment striking him slightly comical.

Selena nods back to Al, looking over the gems for a moment longer. "These kinds of jewels don't come cheap, I'd prefer not to undershoot the price." She replies with a raised brow. "You should know as well as I do they're rare, though less so for these." She replies, gesturing to the handful of lesser stones before furrowing her brow for a moment as she considers a reasonable price for the jewels in front of her.

David hmms at the flower he has and shakes his head with a smile, "No, it's ok. I'll just take this one." he waves friendily to the squid before looking around some more, headed towards the more itemy stalls

Cedric stops at the instrument stall and browses there. He seems to be fairly interested in the stand although he's not really too skilled a musician. He browses the selection, as though looking for something in particular.

Claire skips down the Marketplace, hands handcuffed a ring around her belt level to make sure that she didn't steal anything on impulse. "Woah~! There's plenty of people today!" she exclaims, giggling as she looks at some of the vendors here. The dancer walks down the Marketplace, humming as she looks about for anything to aid her spellcrafting.

Daniel continues to browse the jewels with his eyes, "Something is an understatement sir, all this stuff looks so cool." At least he was honest, shiny things seemed to attract him. He eventually decides on a ring though, but what jewel to be made? Ooh... so many choices. Eenie Meenie Minie "That one!" He suddenly blurts, pointing to a rather sparkly ruby. "Can I have that put into a ring?" He asks, looking up with an odd feeling running through him. The feeling of money burning through his pockets.

The rooster nods. "Let us start haggling at seven thousand crowns, the majority of the price being the two you came here for. I'm sure we can work something out." he says with a smile. David parades down around the 'bazaar' as they are calling it, grabbing the attention of an otter. "Hey!" she calls swiftly, trying to rope him ini to see her strange assortment of wares. Cedric is snuck up upon by a vendor, the stands owner says "HOW are you today!" as he gets close. "Like mah strings boy?" he adds as he points to a shiny looking strings instrument. Daniel is given a nod. "Allow me to finish my transaction and I can do this for you." says the rooster, who sets aside the ruby. Claire is called to by all manner of being, but her attention is given to the magical arts, and mathmatical crafting aids she finds. Quills and parchment, ink and strange ingredients line this small section of the marketplace.

Selena nods back to the rooster. "Would you be willing to lower the price to 6,500? Some of the lesser gems have some flaws - not large, but enough to mean they have to be worked around to reduce their appearance." She offers, nodding back to Danil as he approaches though keeping her attention to the jewels.

David blinks at the other otter as she calls to him and smiles as he approaches, "Hi there, what are these?" he tilts his head curiously at her wares as he munches on a dried criwa

"Er..." Cedric begins, tensing up a little as he's taken by surprise by the stand's vendor, "Doing pretty well, I guess." he answers the first question before tackling the latter, "Y-yeah, they're um... very nice." he says, although he didn't really get much of a chance to browse before he was set upon by the overbearing merchant. "I was um... seeing if you had any good zithers, though I don't play very well..."

Daniel can only nod a bit, waiting around patiently for his turn. Meanwhile, he glances around the bazaar a bit more, eyeing the other various wares and hoping they'd still be here tomorrow. If they were, who knows, maybe he'd be able to get some other neat stuff?

Claire looks around happily, her cat tail swaying behind here. There was but only one thing going through her mind: SO. MUCH. STUFF. The magical scrolls, spell components and everything was just perfect for her, her eyes glowing as she picks up a few spell materials. "Hey miiiiiiiiister!" she calls the vendor. "How much for all of this...?" she asks.

Selena is given a humorous gasp. "Well now isn't that a gracious price drop. Perhaps, we could go for six thousand and fifty crowns instead?" he retorts. The otter waves her hands over what look like basket tops, but what she sets on her head. "It's a hat, for those days when you don't want the sun in your eyes." Cedric is given a pat on the shoulder. "What you need are a nice Zither and..." they say, the lemming running around and holding up a small pamphlet. "Instructions! How about that?" they say, moving to grab a Zither to pass to Cedric for inspection. Daniel is left waiting, but given acknowledgement in the form of a smile. Claire is spoken to softly, the owner of the voice offering a smile. "All of 'this'?" they chuckle. "Three hundred thirty crowns."

Selena chuckles quietly. "If you say so, Al." She replies with a smile, dipping her hand into her bag to retrieve the requested crownl, depositing it on the stand on the side nearer the rooster. "I would call it fair, not gracious. You've traveled a long way, and these jewels aren't easy to come by." The wolfess smiles, taking a small pouch from her bag for the jewels.

Selena spends 6050 Crown for RP reasons.

David hmms at the 'hats' and nods, "I've seen these before actually..." he looks over the other wares though, "Um, hmm..." he looks at the ball in a cup and the paddle ball things, "How much for those? The orphans may like them..." he says that last quietly

You could almost see the glint in Claire's eyes. All that for only three hundred and fifty crowns? Geez, these people are generous. She pulls out the estimated crown from her purse and dumps them into the vendor's hands, and in her carelessness, probably overestimated her given amount. "Thanks ya!" she cheerily giggles, placing the materials in her bag.

Almost as if summoned by David's words, Daniel scurries up behind him to examine the toys as well. They looked awfully simple, and he really needed something to do while he waited. He sticks around to hear the price, hoping to return before the rooster gives away his ruby. It was a nice ruby. But these were nice toys. One thing was for certain though, the mouse really did have some kind of attention disorder.

Cedric pushes the pamphlet out of the way quickly before being shown the instrument. He's not really in the right soul to properly examine the item, really, but it seems okay? He is growing a little bit annoyed with the lemming's aggressive upselling tactics. It's not really the right way to sell things to an introvert. "You know, actually I can't really spare the money right now, sorry." he lies... probably. It's not really a lie if you're not sure of the price is it? Either way, he starts to walk in the opposite direction of the lemming.

Selena is nodded to before the rooster looks to the departing rodent. "Short attention spans." he says and laughs, before smiling at Selena. "So, is this all you require today?" David is met with a grin, and a "Four for fourteen crowns?" Cedric is nodded to, and given a behind the back "Be safe!" as they depart. Daniel is offered one to test, the otter saying "How about three crowns for you kid." Claire is given a smile and a nod.

Selena smiles. "Yes, that will be all. Thank you very much Al, I'll have to keep your name in mind the next time the bazaar is in town." She smiles, carefully putting the jewels into her pouch and placing it in her bag. "I hope you attract some more prospective buyers." The wolfess smiles, making her way off from the stall.

David ponders that a bit and smiles, "Alright, I'll take eight." as he counts out twenty eight crowns and hands them over, gathering up the toys with a smile, "Thanks!"

David spends 28 Crown to: TOYS!

Cedric searches the area for anything else of interest, but nothing else seems to catch his eye at the moment. It is getting pretty late anyhow, and it might just be best to head back to the inn and have a drink before bed, perhaps.

Daniel puffs out his cheeks in a way that can only be described as the face a child makes right before a tantrum. Still, he doesn't lose his cool and accepts the price, buying the paddle-ball and ball-in-a-cup, pocketing one before examining the other. He chose the paddleball, and after giving it a few tries on the way to the jewlery stall, grimaces a bit. This was harder than it looked!

Claire skips away with her loot. "Thanks a lot, nice vendor man! If you come around again, I'll buy more off ya." she tells him, making her way towards the Inn.

Daniel spends 6 Crown to: MORE TOYS!

The market continues on into the night, Daniel being treated kindly by the rooster who works out a price and places the ruby into a ring for him before sending him off. The bustle doesn't die down until early morning, when many vendors opt to get some shut eye, packing away their wares.
