A smile on Flora's lips as she tinkers some with... A new golem. She's making some minor adjustments, adjusting a few things and filling it with... Chemicals? That's an awful lot of chemicals to put into a golem.

Sveta comes down the stairs, heavy boots clomping with each step. They're quite dirty, although she's had the good sense not to track mud into the house. The goshawk's usual white gloves have been replaced with ones of heavier fabric, and a sun hat still sits upon her head. "Flora? You asked for me?"

"Flora needed to... Talk about some things, yes," the feline mumbles, washing her hands and grabbing one of those fruits she seems to have taken a liking to, taking a big bite out of it... "Flora... Flora isn't sure yet, but there are... Things. Things Flora has noticed, things... Things that suggest Flora might be... Not ill," she mumbles, gesturing at the fruit and a plate with some pastry-crumbs on it, before she sets herself down against the leather padding on the golem's side.

"I...you shouldn't do that, Flora, even if you've washed your hands," Sveta says. "One, some chemicals stick and don't dissolve in water. Two, you never know if any vapours are going to get on the food, or you might get some on it without knowing." The goshawk reaches for the fruit, intent on taking it away. "Once I take care of this, maybe we can talk about what's been bothering you."

A mumble, a flick of Flora's ears as she gestures at the small windbox. "Flora made sure vapors wouldn't get in, yes. And all the chemicals in that mixture are soluble in water... And mostly harmless. Main component is Aqua Vitae, a little wouldn't do anything bad... Well, okay, Flora admits, a little might be a problem, considering what Flora might be dealing with," she mumbles, frowning lightly. "Flora also used soap. Helps with the oils, yes."

She sighs a little, before looking to her fruit and shaking her head. "Flora prefers keeping her fruit, yes."

"I don't want to sound like a schoolmarm, Flora, but it's better to not take unnecessary chances with your health." Sveta gently removes the plate out of Flora's reach. "If you want to eat, it's a short walk to the kitchens and asking Lina to get something cold for you to eat. Or if I have the time, I'll cook for you. I haven't cooked for someone else for some time..." her eyes focus as she snaps back to attention. "Well! Back to the point - what did you call me for? What are you dealing with?"

Flora mumbles, gesturing at the fruit, the pasty-crumbs on the plate Sveta just removed, and... Practically hisses as Sveta reaches out for the piece of fruit in her hand, murmuring something to herself. Seems she's not letting go of that one.

"Flora might be," she mutters, already trailing off unintelligibly. "Flora needs to ask a priest, though, Flora isn't sure," she mutters, sighing softly.

"Flora's been feeling sick in the morning, then alright, and then more hungry than usual and wanting odd things..."

Sveta sighs and leaves the fruit in Flora's hands, although she does square away the plate on a nearby table out of the tigress' reach. "I...oh." She blinks as comprehension dawns. "I think I can guess at who the father is. I..." she thinks a moment. "I think it's best that you go and find a priest, confirm it as soon as possible. If it is...you'll have to lifebond to Matthews before it becomes obvious - no, as soon as possible. Angus gets away with siring bastards left and right because he's a relative no-name in his house, but you're the High Lady, Flora. Even if you're bonded to Matthews, tongues will wag the moment someone realises there've been less than three seasons between you doing so and the kittens being born."

A mumble, a hesitant nod as Flora leans against her golem. "Flora realizes," she mutters, looking a little defeated as she looks to the ground. "Flora knows... It's only been a month, though. Can only be a month... If... If they were Fenris', Flora would've had these cravings much earlier, yes... Would've had them over a month ago," she mutters, ears folded back. "And Angus could deny things if he really needed to. Flora... Flora would have a hard time denying things."

This is the first time Sveta's heard of that Flora had anything to with Fenris in the romantic sense, but she keeps her beak shut on that one. "Yes. That. There is also the matter of...the rest of your family." She rubs her face, ruffling her feathers. "But you have your golems to guard you, and Lina cooks your food when you're at home. Hence, I'm not so worried about it...

"I do have the suspicion that this is what you want, sharing a home and life with Matthews, so if that's the case - and I don't think I'm wrong on that - there's no reason to delay things as far as I can see. My congratulations." She reaches up and tips the brim of her sun hat.

A mumble, a nod as Flora looks up at Sveta. "Flora and Fenris only did something once, anyways," she mutters, shaking her head. "Fenris has... Memories of things that made it best not to do that anymore, yes," she mumbles, huffing lightly. "But Flora is pretty sure it's Matthews'," she adds with a shake of her head, before nodding lightly. "Flora just... Didn't plan on kittens yet, no."

Sveta studiously ignores Flora's comments about Fenris. "Well, the best laid plans always go awry, improvisation is the key to success, and all those other things folk say. Whether you planned on it or not...well, something has to be done. My suggestion still remains as it is - if you are happy with him, then take it in stride and make the leap. I only advise against unnecessary risks, after all."

A mumble, a flick of the tails, and a nod. "Flora guesses, yes... Still, Flora doesn't like it when her plans go wrong, no... Flora tries to plan for everything, didn't plan for this, no," she mumbles, shaking her head lightly. "Flora will have to talk to Matthews, yes."

"If you could account for everything, then you wouldn't be here - you'd be giving direct advice to the king. At the very least." Sveta flaps her wings a little, steadies herself and peers at Flora. "And 'talk' would be an understatement. But...congratulations, yes. Is there anything else you wished to speak to me about?"

"Golem needs some minor enchantments, yes... Needs to shoot a few sparks after every attack. This spot should be charged after each attack, maybe friend Sveta knows some very light fire-spells? she mumbles, tapping a side of the golem. "Doesn't need to be much, just enough to start a little fire if there are flammable things, yes."

Sveta nods. "Lighting a spark or two is quite simple - I could etch down the runes right here and now if you lent me a chisel and mallet. They don't need to be very big - I could do it somewhere out of sight.

Flora nods and mumbles, getting out a hammer and chisel, and looking... Well, rather nervous. Her golems are sortof her kittens, after all... Figuratively speaking. Her real kittens weren't here yet, anyways. "Just... Just be careful, yes," she mutters, practically whimpers as she looks at Sveta, then back to the golem.

"If I weren't careful, you wouldn't have hired me." Sveta steps back, taking a look at the currently inactive golem, taking note of the sealed tanks. "I think I see what you're going for here. Let me go ahead and..." her voice trails off as she kneels down and very carefully chisels the appropriate runes on the golem's claws and fangs, two of them on each of the dispensing outlets for the chemicals from the tank, both not more than two centimetres total. "There," she says with a smile. "I wasn't expecting this request, but rose to the occasion anyway. Yours is a slightly different matter, but I'm sure you will too. And with that, I'm afraid, I must leave you for a short space. I...I don't want my roses to wilt before I've even started putting them in."
