A soft rumble leaves Flora's muzzle, the feline noble standing on a slightly raised plateau in front of the store, a ribbon spanning from door to door. Her tails sway lightly behind her, and the feline, still clad in her light, shralestan robes is watching out over the coalescing crowd with a smile.

LongTech Industries' security-corps is patrolling the area, making sure that everything is safe and Lady Longtail's family will not interfere with the proceedings, as much as they can help it.

Sveta has been waiting by the door all this time, her gaze strangely distant and staring out into the crowd, scarcely ackowledging Flora's arrival. The goshawk has donned a LongTech uniform, although her signature gloves are still on, and she's content to fade into the background while Flora does her thing.

Thelergramor is a recent arrival to the store, standing near the back of the crowd. The wolf glances about, picking out marks to test his pickpocketing skills while awaiting the opening.

Chance smiles as he walks towards the newely opening store, eager to hear what all this fuss is about. Rumors and mutterings had made their way all the way to the Inn about this. "Hmm, this will no doubt be interesting," The weasel slinks through the crowd carefully, hoping to get in near enough to be able to get inside quickly. Deciding against it soon after, in case of a rush to get in, the weasel moves away, hanging nearer the edges, torn between moving in close and risking what might be rush, or staying back but getting in last.

Fallax silently sways to an unheard beat as he weaves through the crowd, weaving his way through the doorway and through the crowd, he reaches the front and stands in front of the crowed, hearing the rumble from the tigress his head slowly looks upwards towards the plateau, his eyes stay fixed on Flora even as his head sways in beat with his body.

Lina excitedly shifts from her position nearby the other longtech employees, her uniform is so clean you could eat off of it and leave a stain. She filcks her tail and watches Flora, she did it! Flora is awesome, she decides once again, out loud lowly to herself, not seeming to notice at all as she eyes the ribbon and the crowd. Such a great turnout, hopefully they are all pleased by what is inside.

Samira slinks into the crowd, still dressed in an outfit she bought during the trip to Shralesta. While not overly fancy, the flowing fabric stands out a little from the more insulative outfits she normally wears. Moving quickly she joins the crowd, eager ears perked up to ensure she doesn't miss a word. It's a big day for the company after all!

Another rumble, another smile as she looks out over the different people, tails flicking behind her while the LongTech security-corps divides the group up in more managable blocks.

"Beings of Sweetwater... It brings a smile to Flora's face to see so many of you interested in the products that LongTech Industries has to offer. Flora would ask of you to behave orderly and report any suspicious behavior to the staff... That being said, Flora would like to give you a short introduction, answer any questions you might have, and then, allow you all inside."

There is little for Sveta to say, and less to do - all that could have been done already has in the background, long before this day. All there is left for the goshawk is to shift her weight from one foot to the other, eyes still on the crowd, as if actively expecting trouble. Hopefully not today, though.

Thelergramor puts his paws in his pockets, suppressing the desire to pilfer the contents of the pocket in front of him. Believing himself to stand out a little too much, he draws back his hood and pulls down his scarf. The wolf puts on a smile and awaits this 'introduction'.

Chance smiles pleasantly as he listens, shifting his weight from paw to paw, looking about the crowd as he waits for the introduction to be made. Looking around at the others around impatiently he sighs and continues to wait.

Fallax wonders why the tigress is talking in third person as he continues to sway in tandem to the hidden beat in his mind, his gaze shifts from Flora and sweeps across the crowd as he scans the mass around him, his ears perk up when he hears someone sigh in impatience. He grins and mentally agrees with the stranger before he shifts his gaze back unto Flora.

Samira finds the crowd a touch cramped, reminding her somewhat of the incident at the docks a week or so back. This time she isn't carrying much that a prospective thieve would wish to steal though, having left her purse behind in favor of a smaller pouch, just enough to pay for a pen should she be required to. A few quick shuffles through the crowd and she finds herself near the side of a block of people, close enough to a guard that she feels comfortable around so many people. Her attention returns to Flora as she prepares to start the introduction, tail flicking lightly.

Another rumble, another smile. "As you may or may not be aware, Flora has invented the Camera several months ago, offering it to the King as a gift. Now, Flora leads LongTech Industries, and we hope to make your lifes happier, safer and better, though the use of new innovations, both magical and non-magical in make."

"As of this day, we offer two products and one service. Your image, for only a pittance of crown, and ready for development in a mere ten minutes... A process that will only take a few minutes itself, to note."

"A device to create these images yourself, which we will develop for a nominal fee. Bear in mind that the camera is an expensive piece of equipment, so the stock is limited, and the price is high."

"Finally, we offer a new writing-utensil. The pen is smaller than a quill, and will work wtihout the need to dip it in ink. And again, we will perform the maintenance at your convenience, for a fair price."

"Now... Flora would like to answer questions, yes."

With a nod to Flora, Sveta quietly retreats back into the store, slipping away while the crowd's attention is focused on the tigress for a last minute check on the inventory. It's not as if she can accomplish much here anyway, and there's bound to be an influx of customers once the speech is done and ribbon is cut. Best to be prepared.

Thelergramor grins, thinking of how much easier he could be identified if someone were to have an actual picture of him, instead of relying on an artists rendering. The thought should probably dissuade him, not excite him the way it did. His tail sets to wagging, bumping another person as they seem to be packed in quite close together.

Chance smiles and nods at the mention of the camera he had heard of that. Most interesting to be sure, but it was the pen that caught his attention, or more importantly the fact it didn't need to be dipped in ink. Many may overlook it, but the fact is that folks tend to not think of shorter beings, and the amount of times he's had to get up and move the inkwell closer to him, or reach across the the table and mess up his writing due to the inkwell being just out of reach due to his shorter stature. He wanted one of these pens. "I have a question about the pen, I'm curious, how long they can be used if they do not need to be dipped in inkwells, is there a way we'd be able to tell how long they have left before needing servicing?"

Fallax listens to the weasels question in interest, nodding in agreement at his statement on shorter beings, he had infact actually never even considered the way something as simple as the position of a inkwell would effect someone of a shorter stature, with his ears perked in interest he waited for the Flora's response.

Fallax listens to the weasels question and considers the impact that well-less quills, or 'pens' would have on the world, he raises an eyebrow as he wonders why on earth he would buy something like that when quills already worked perfectly fine.

Samira remembers both inventions, although she remembers the pen in particular as she used one to sign her own contract. She's sure that she'll get to find out about the price in due time, so she can't think of any question sensible enough to ask. Instead, she just shifts side to side as she listens attently to the current question, idly wondering who's going to get stuck with the task of refilling all those pens...

Lina watches the crowd for all of their questions she had no hope of answering. she felt a little dumb but that was okay as long as she was useful. Not everyone has a mind for math or... whatever Flora did without math, inventing? She stretches and files the thought aside as she listens, eager to partake of the answers.

A smile, a tailflick, and a rumble. "A pen will last you about two months, maybe three, depending on how much you write with it. Not quite as much as an inkwell, but you won't have spillage, or inconsistent writing. The pen inks itself, and if you're dissatisfied with your current ink, you can always bring it over for a change, as well. We offer inks with different consistencies and different colors."

"Flora would also like to note that we offer two kinds of pens. One for every day, and one for special occasions and special people... The latter comes with a full year of free service, though you will still pay for the inks themselves."

Thelergramor scratches his muzzle again, interested in these pens, his inkwells often break or spill while out of the city. Probably, because he isn't careful with them. No questions from the wolf. He turns his head and coughs into his arm, then takes a step further into the crowd, breaking line of sight with a guard.

Chance nods in a pleased way, eager to try one of these pens, and knowing already he will be buying one of the special ones. A wide grin spreading on his face, though he does grip the stave he had been leaning on just in case anyone unsavory decided to associate him with money due to his queries.

Samira looks somewhat surprised at Flora's prediction of two months. How does that little cylinder hold enough ink for that? None the less, she's certain that this'll help boost Longtech's public image and hopefully fund the next invention. Curious as to exactly what the others think, she remains at the edge of the crowd to listen. Alas, it's tricky to hear any of the hushed conversations going on.

Another rumble, another smirk. "Less questions than Flora expected, but... Without further ado, lets open up the store!" she rumbles, before brandishing a small, jeweled dagger, using it to slice the ribbon through in one swift flourish. "Flora declares LongTech Industries... Open for business."

"Please enter in an orderly fashion and allow the staff to help everyone. Anyone found stirring up trouble will be apprehended.

Chance

Thelergramor chuckles softly at the talk of 'stirring up trouble.' Thinking to himself that out of everyone here, he'd be the most likely to cause problems. The thought makes him smile. He follows after the crowd, somewhere in the middle of the 'block' he was pushed into. Thel isn't in much of a hurry, though some behind him in the crowd are quite annoyed by this.

Chance nods happily and strides eagerly towards the store. Though caught behind the wolf, he is not one of the ones annoyed he grumbles more annoyed by any impatient mutterings than having to wait. "If I hear one more complaint about having to wait in line at a STORE, so help me!"

Samira ends up in one of the blocks near the back of the queue, the eager skunkette tapping the ground impatiently as everyone moves slowly forwards. It's not like she has to be there in a rush though, merely excited by the prospect of seeing Longtech's new wares! Well, at least no one's pushing her to and fro since she's at the edge...

Soon enough, the doors are opened, and everyone is greeted by several employees manning the different stations. Three employees man the counter where pens are sold, two others explain the terms and prices of a pen, and another details the difference in ink-quality. Another corner of the store has a lot of photographs in one place, with a specialized booth to make photos, and another being manning it.

Thelergramor stops for a few seconds, just to spite those who were complaining, then moves on at a more brisk pace. Passing by Flora, Thel nods to her. They have met once before briefly, about a month ago. He wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't recognize him. Arriving inside, the wolf heads to the pen-sellers. Wasting no time he says: "You, one of the cheaper pens." His words are terse, but not delivered in a rude fashion.

Standing in the middle of the crowd, Niele just kept looking with interest at the presentation. Despite being really small, she hadn't too much trouble watching it, seeing people kept a small distance from her, bothered by the cold breeze that seems to be swirling around her, and just her. This so called "pen" surely is an incredible invention, and would help her a lot, but she was more interested in the creator of the pens. The person who brought her house back to nobility. She wanted to speak with Flora. Entering the shop, she passes through Flora, analizing her deeply but quickly with her strange, different colored eyes. The bodyguards were kinda intimidating, though, and she didn't want to cause a bad impression, so she decided against talking to the tigress, and just checking at the pens, seeing if she could get a sheap, good one.

Chance hums a small tune as he waits, idly thinking of what to get in and on his pen. The weasel smiles and walk in past Flora, bowing graciously, with a family reputation like his, caution is always the best option. Once he's walked in, the weasel walks over to one of the vendors for a pen. "Yes, yes please the premium model, oh hmm, an inscription, hmm yes, give me a moment to think of it though."

Samira doesn't ask the shop assistants for anything to start with, instead wandering over to the selection of photos to see what they depict and their quality. Should there be any examples of pens around the shop she chooses to visit them too, eager to see what sort of variety is present. Her coin-pouch is clutched close to her person as just in case, as she plans to acquire a pen as soon as the crowd has dispersed a little.

A soft rumble, a smile, while Flora slinks around the room, silently watching all the beings and flicking her tails behind her, softly rumbling. Meanwhile, the employees are busy tending to the various customers, nodding towards Thelergramor and smiling brightly. "Mmhm... Alright. Blue, black, red or green ink? Have you considered the consistency of your ink yet?" the lioness behind the counter offers, while the husky next to her asks chance a similar set of questions, along with inquiring about the kinds of finishes he wants, such as the type of wood it should be made some, with several pens being pointed at as examples.

Finally, Samira encounters a lot of pictures from the Shralestan trip, along with several taken back home in the the city, allowing everyone a good view of the clear, black-and-white images that depict both Sweetwater and Shralesta in detail.

Thelergramor glances at the weasel momentarily, eyeing the staff he holds. Armed, not worth what coin he's carrying. Thel only takes a moment to think about the ink color. "Black." Taking another moment to decide on consistency, before he realizes he's not 100% sure what the lioness means. "If there's any price difference, just go with the cheapest." A cop out, sure.

Chance smiles, furrowing his brow as he thinks on it. "Green ink if you can spare any, that nice forest green, as for the consistancy, something that won't run very much if I forget the paper I was writing on. Scholarly works and all, hmm as for the wood.." Chance seems to look for a while "AHA! this one, we have tree like this in the yard back home, Yes the dark, reddish sortof one there." He points to the indicated choice, "Oh and if you could inscribe," here he looks around, before leaning over the counter to whisper his family name for the husky to hear "Would that be alright?"

Niele keeps looking around at the pens. At first she was going to pick the cheapest one, just to see how it worked, but soon the miriad of formats and colors of the premium ones enticed her, and she started considering one of those, asking the prices to a vacant salesperson.

Samira smiles fondly as she recalls the places she visited in Shralesta. She'll have to ask Flora if there's a way to get copies made of these pictures for the members of Longtech... actually, why not do that now? Spying Flora wandering through the shop she hurries over, the tip of her tail peeking out above being's heads as she moves around a croud. "Flooora!" she churrs eagerly, trying to get her attention. Assuming she does, the skunkette carries on, "Can these photos be copied? I'd love to be able to keep a few in a book or something!"

A soft smile, a rumble. "Flora has the negatives. We can make a few more, yes," she rumbles, still moving along the store, and shaking her head at some beings, silently looking about.

"The cheapest ink has a tendency to blot, and will sometimes, if rarely, clog the pen," the lion serving Thelergramor explains, while Chance is offered another smile from the husky-lass. "Should be more than doable, sir. Just a moment, and we'll get everything ready for you," she mumbles.

"In the mean time, please fill out these registration-forms. We'll keep it on file, so we can track the inks that have been in your pen, any potential damages we have to repair, and so on... All to improve customer-service, of course."

"Do not attempt to open the pen, it is a sensitive device, and it can and will break. Do not try to re-fill the pen yourself, for the same reason. Do not tamper with the pens. We can and will find out if a pen has been used improperly."

Meanwhile, a sales-person moves towards Niele, smiling brightly. "Anything I can help you with, miss...?"

Thelergramor nods, not at all dissuaded by how the cheapest ink could perform badly. "That's fine, I'm used to using cheap ink." Glancing about quickly before he turns back to the lion, "Alright, got it don't take it apart or repurpose it. So the final cost comes to...?" Thel scratches his muzzle again, a near constant habit.

Chance nods and slowly fills out the forms, some details may seem vague, but well you reall can't fault a guy with his reputation, if you know of it that is. "Good, good, I'm glad to get this, it's surprisingly annoying to deal with inkwells being left too far away." He smiles "No worries there, I'm not inclined to tamper with another's work."

Niele breaks her attention from the pens she was looking at, and turns up to the sales-person that just addressed her. "Oh, hi. My name is Niele. Niele Longtails" she says, with a smile in her face, taking a quick look at Flora's direction. "I got a bit interested in these premium pens... Please do tell me, is their price just because of the pretty colors and shapes, or are they better than the regular ones in any other way?".

Samira smiles warmly and nods. "Great! One moment, I need to get a pen." Leaving Flora behind, the skunkette weaves her way over to one of the assistants selling pens. Having heard the ongoing discussion about pens rather well, she knows most of what she has to say. "Can I have a normal pen with black ink... the kind that won't blot, please?" she politely churrs, fishing around in her pouch for the required crowns for the pen. Thankfully she has enough money, but only just. "Can I fill the form in with the pen?"

Suddenly, two security-beings move, one to stand near to Niele and one to move towards Flora, whispering something to her, even as the beings around Niele move out of the way a little hesitantly, leaving the rabbit-clerk on her own, looking a little nervous to an approaching Flora.

Meanwhile, the lion slides Thelergramor a form as well, indicating that he should file it out, while Samira is offered a pen by another clerk. "Use this while we ready your order, miss," the newt-lass offers with a friendly smile, before slipping her paper with notes to the back. Soon enough, chance's pen arrives, and a serial-number is jotted down on the paper as well, which is taken from chance moments after.

"W-well... Miss Niele, the more expensive pens are made with higher-quality materials, and come with more customization-options. In addition, upkeep on them is free for a year, rather than paid-for at each visit. If... If you ask me, it's a sound investment," the rabbit-girl sqeaks, looking a little awkwardly.

"Miss Niele? Flora requires a talk. Please hand over any weapons and scrolls to LongTech security. Standard procedure when it comes to... The family. Flora trusts you understand?"

Thelergramor takes the forms, scowling. "Right, should be done quick." Under his breath: "...Hate filling out forms." He begins to fill it out, skipping name for now. The rest is done in short order. Back to name, he fills in 'Nalran Pised.' An alias clearly, to those who know him. Which, wouldn't be the people he's trying to deceive... "Here." The wolf hands back the form.

Chance smiles and examines his new pen nodding sharply. "Very good, very good, I'll just pay and be on my way then." The weasel will make his way to the indicated payment area and look around at the crowd carefully, relaxing the grip on his stave.

Samira gives the clerk a polite nod and churrs, "Thank you!" before she starts writing. It doesn't take her long at all, although she has to wonder what all of this is for. Surely it'd be less work for Longtech if the customer were able to refill their own pens. Surely they work in a similar manner to an ink well, at their base... Either way, she doesn't dwell on it much. The form is slid back along the desk, which Samira leans on while her tail flicks to and fro behind her.

Niele looks at the bunny girl, pondering if the premium pens would be worth it. She was preparing to say something to the attendant when the bodyguard came to talk with her. "Sure!" she says to him. Turning back to the rabbit girl, she gives out a kind smile "If you excuse me, I'll follow this nice guy. But I'll be back to talk to you when I buy my pen.". Turning back to the bodyguard, she says "Well, sir, and where can I leave my scrolls, then?".

"Hand your scrolls over to security, yes," Flora rumbles, pointing at one of the guards, before pointing towards one of the bodyguards, then pointing to a secluded corner of the shop. "Now... Considering Miss Niele has stated her name so openly, Flora must either conclude that this is a diversion, OR that miss Niele is in fact, not a member of 'The Organization'... Or that Miss Niele wants out, yes. Which one is it?" the she-cat rumbles, keeping a close eye on Niele, while the various attendants continue their work, feeling somewhat safer now that the potentially rogue longtail is being watched.

Soon enough, Samira's pen arrives, quickly followed by Thelergramor's, filled just the way they requested it, while the going-ons continue as usual.

Thelergramor takes his pen. "Thanks, now about payment... How much?" Looking at the pen, he finds it to be sufficient. He waits patiently, taking his coin purse from a pocket. The one on his belt serving only as a distraction for others like himself.

Chance smiles and happily pays the needed fee for the pen, then goes back on a whim, purchasing a similar one, except for the inscription, which would read "My sweet." Before returning to purchase both pens after filling out forms.

Niele hands all her scrolls to the security guard, and heads out to the corner, waiting for Flora to come talk to her.

Samira twirls the pen between her fingers for a moment, looking rather happy with how it feels in her hand. "Thanks! I think this is enough..." She pushes a small stack of crown towards the clerk, waiting to ensure she's counted out the right number. While she waits, she leans against the counter to peer closer at the pen. She'll have to congratulate Flora later, as they certainly look the part! She'll have to test to see how it writes later though.

Chance smiles and bows his head happily thanking the clerk, and makes his way out the doors, grinning wide and knowing exactly where he is going to go now!

Thelergramor slips his pen into his lockpick pouch, similar size to some of them. "Alright, well, thanks then." He pulls up his scarf and hood, and heads outside.
