Last night was quite hectic, after half an hour from the battle a squad of soldiers were stationed on the premises to both capture the interlopers and secure the area. The mercenaries were left for the most part, no questioning or involvement in their business.

It was now the early dawn, the sun was rising as the night watchmen began extinguishing the lamps. Mister Copperfield will be here any minute now.

Zuri was still huddled up on top of a box, snoring after his exhausting foray into intensive use of Divine Math. The small being had since turned back from his pegasus form to being his normal salamander self.

Burton woke a little while back from his own snooze, letting Zuri get some well deserved rest. The Broffalo is currently occupying himself by doing chin-ups on a handy beam that is slung just low enough for him to reach from the top of a stack of crates.

Cassidy had taken only a small, brief nap, and supplemented the rest of her energy needs with a cup of tea. She came expecting trouble, but not from such a large group. It'd probably mean further jobs, later, at least.

Natska yawns quietly, the jaguar still awake. She completes another circuit of her pace around the interior of the warehouse, then perks her ears as she looks up, watching the sky turn lighter through the warehouse's windows.

Another half an hour passes before the leopard knocks on the door, Thelergramor, all reptile and stuf,, opens the door for the warden letting him in.

"Hello again, ladies and gentlemen." the aging feline says as he looks around his office, peering into the warehouse, "The sergeant told me about what happened here, please step into my office for your payment." he says before he goes about his business, unlocking his desk, removing and adjusting some bits and pieces around the office.

Zuri slowly stirs awake on account of the commotion. He stretches and yawns as he rolls off, out of his 'bed', and flails as he nearly falls out of what in his mind should have been his bed back in Sweetwater. He quickly recovers, sitting up and stretching again as he looks around. "Is it morning already?"

Burton finishes his last chin up and climbs carefully down from the crates. "No problem, dude!" the Buffalo says, stretching his bulky arms, "Those guys were pushovers."

Cassidy tucks her tea things away after offering to share her cup with Natska, following the employer over towards the desk. "Is there someone in particular after your things? Because that was a rather coordinated effort!"

The leopard takes a seat on his desk as the mercenaries file in, "Good job, good job." he says with a smile as he begins putting small coin pouches on the table, "Marvelous work truly. You dealt with the attackers wonderfully. I don't think we will require your services for another night." he said with a smile as he gestured to the pouches, "As promised, two hundred crowns, with a hundred crowns bonus for the good job, Ridgewell's reward." he says with cough.

Zuri slides off the crate and shuffles over to the office. He peps up rather quickly, and is all smiles by the time he moves up to the leopard being. "It was a pleasure Sir!" He reaches over to take his pouch, pocketing it quickly. "Ooh, a bonus too! Mister Ridgwell is quite the generous being." He salamander hops back towards Burton to let the others claim their pouches too.

Burton is sweating happily as he swaggers up to accept his pay. "Thanks, Brah," he says to the leopard, "Best workout I've had all week!" He swaggers back out of the office and pats Zuri on the head. "You want to go get some drinks, little dude?" he asks.

Cassidy accepts her payment with a smile, tucking it away in her coat. "Appreciated. It's good you won't need us, though. Natska and I do need to get back home to tend to some things of our own! But I'm sure we'll be around again."

Natska stiffles another small yawn, then nods her head, taking Cass' arm. And standing on the other side of her from the smelly brofallo. "A pleasure. May your business be well, sir."

Copperfield nods to the group and gestures towards the door, "Indeed, indeed. Thank you again for a job well done. Now if you would excuse me I have a job to do. The air docks are nearby, I am pretty sure you can spot the airships from here so that shouldn't be much trouble. Have a good day." And with that the leopard goes back to checking some papers on his desk.

Zuri grins up at Burton. "I would love some drinks! Preferably over breakfast. A big breakfast! We did just get paid after all, and that's the best time to spend some coin. I've been to Cliffside a bit the last few weeks, I know a few places we could go." He waves at Copperfield in farewell then begins to head outside.

Burton swaggers toward the door. "Lead the way, Little Dude," he says, "I'm not in a hurry. Don't like the airship much anyway."

Cassidy gives Natska arm a little squeeze before turning to start towards the door, nodding at Zuri and Burton. "We might stop and get breakfast somewhere, too. Not sure yet. In any case, we'll see you on the ship, I am sure!"

Natska gives Cassidy a sleepy little nod. "I'll probably sleep most of the way home," she adds, smiling. "But not bad for a night's work!"

Thelergramor also takes his pouch, with the money from the employer, and joins the group for the breakfast and the food. Mister Copperfield gives no attention to the mercs as they arrange for their own departure.

The moment they are out, the group is escorted by some of the soldiers until they are out of the currently restricted block. The helpful soldiers even giving them direction to any place they would ask about before going back to their duty and letting the Freeswords go on about their own business.
