A low rumble, and the ever-enticing Katrina is resting herself within the public gardens, even though they currently seem rather... Private. Not a single being is currently around, leaving Katrina and her not-quite-date fully alone in the gardens... Now all that needs to happen is for the guest of honor to arrive.

Katrina is dressed in a similar outfit, even though her leather outfit seems to show just a bit more flesh... Probably just the imagination, no?

Fenris saunters casually through the public gardens. He is a little leery of how private the public park seems today, and even moreso of the invitation he has received from the enigmatic Katrina Silkenfur. But he is too curious to turn it down. The fluffy feline wanders into the central plaza, his guitar slung casually over his shoulder and his coat open, revealing the incongruous heart on his chest and belly. "Ah," he says, "There you are! I wasn't sure where you would want to meet. At least there aren't any crowds, right?"

A soft rumble, a small smile, and Katrina gestures towards the spot besides her, then to the spot before her. "I was thinking... Perhaps a serenade?" she rumbles with a grin, a flick of her ears. "I'm sure that an acomplished bard such as yourself would be able to, no?"

Fenris raises an eyebrow, but takes a seat opposite Katrina. "What is this about?" he asks, looking around at the abandoned park as he unslings his guitar at sets to carefully tuning it, "I've never been invited to a private function with ONE attendant before." The liger starts to pluck out a light tune on the strings of his old instrument. "And I've never heard the name Silkenfur before either," he says, "And I thought I knew all the families who could arrange for the public gardens to be empty on a fine afternoon."

"Then I am doing my work properly... When trading in information, it is no good if people know your name," the feline rumbles with a smile, a flick of her ears.

"As you can see, it is a... Lucrative business, as you can imagine," the she-cat rumbles with a faint smile, a flick of her ears behind that mask...

"I see," Fenris says, his fingers dancing lightly over the strings of his guitar, "I suppose it must be, to buy the park for a private concert." The liger pushes his questions aside for now and starts to sing. After all, he was invited to play, even if he had hoped for more of an audience. The words are not in the common tongue, rather some sort of lilting nonsense syllables, though the feeling of the song is definitely one of a lover's serenade. The combination of the sparkling notes of the guitar and the feline's burbling lyrics is rather pleasant, though the words don't seem to mean anything.

A small flick of katrina's ears, a coin being tossed around in her hands as she listens to the song, her tail still swaying behind her as she looks back to Fenris. "It's not a thing I can do every day, of course... But for tonight, we are completely... Alone," the she-cat rumbles with a smile, a soft hum as she enjoys the sounds from Fenris's guitar and voice.

Somehow, Fenris does not feel especially comfortable with that idea. Being completely alone with this strange woman. He finishes his song and grins. "And to what do I owe the honor?" he asks, continuing to play a light, susserating tune, "I'm sure we have only met once." He smiles and looks down for a moment, checking his fingering as the tune speeds up. "And it was not false humility when I said that I am no one special," he says, "Just a wanderer with a guitar and a penchant for interfering where I am not really wanted."

"I like the... Finer things in life. You may not believe it, but you have a certain... Reputation. A certain diamond-in-the-rough like quality, according to the rumors," the she-cat notes with a smile, a flick of her ears, and a smile hidden beneath her mask.

"Besides, if the High Lady shows interest, that implies a certain skillset to be commended," she notes, still offering that ever-enticing smile towards her fellow feline.

Fenris laughs warmly as he plays. "Is that what this is about?" he asks with a chuckle, "I befriended the Highlady when she was a penniless tinkerer. Flora really does not have any need of my skills anymore." The liger smiles fondly as he thinks about the twins that Flora is carrying. "Not until she has children for me to be a crazy uncle to at least." He segues into a new song, this one a bit of a dancing tune. The liger launches into a jaunty song about a garden reserved for great fiddlers after they die. A bit of a non-sequiter, but catchy.

A browraise, hidden behind Katrina's mask. "Children?" she notes with a small rumble, a flic k of her ears. "It seems I have to fire one of my contacts. Or lower their pay," she notes with a soft rumble, a flick of her ears. "Granted, I've been out of the country for a while. A task in Cliffside... I'm sure you understand?"

"Fire for what?" Fenris asks after finishing his little ditty, "She's married now, children are bound to come along sometime!" The feline grins. "And I plan to spoil them rotten!" he says happily. The tiger strums idly once or twice on his instrument. "Any other requests?" he asks, "I'm afraid I'm not used to playing for an audience of one."

Katrina nods and flicks her tail lightly. "Well, several requests, though the question is, how many of them would you honor, hmm?" she teases with a smile, a flick of her ears, and a sway of her body. "Fire them for not keeping up to date with the high society, of course... You can hardly be a merchant in information if you're not properly informed, after all," the cat notes with a smile, a rumble.

Fenris looks up from his guitar at that strange comment. "If I know the song, I will gladly play it," he says, "Though I get the idea that that isn't what you meant." Strange, they look nothing alike, and are as different as night and day, but some of Katrina's mannerisms are reminiscent of Flora's. Odd.

A smile, a flick of Katrina's ears, and the feline looks out over the area with a smile, a flick of her tail. "I might be, depending on the kinds of requests you accept, indeed. I wouldn't mind another serenade, though," she notes with a small smile, before standing up and moving to another seat on a piece of cloth in the grass. "Do join me, won't you?"

"No, Miss," Fenris says with a smile, "As a hired performer, it would be unseemly of me to be so improper with the lady who hired me to play." The liger starts playing again, a new song with a bit of a melancholy bent. The words tell the story of a stolen princess and a young man who followed after for a year and a day to save her. It is a lovely story of loss and adventure and finally true love.

A small flick, a soft rumble, before Katrina smiles. "Well, I won't tell... There is no-one around, and I do insist you at least take a seat proper," Katrina rumbles softly, gesturing to the spot besides her... "Besides, customer is king, isn't that the saying? I do rather enjoy hearing the music... Up-close."

It goes without saying that Fenris does not quite trust the motives of this slinky feline. She is a self proclaimed information broker, after all. The liger shrugs and takes a seat on the grass, with his guitar in his lap. "It's actually harder to play down here," he admits, though his fingers did not falter as he moved positions, "I wish you would make a request though, since you are the only one listening."

Soon, though, Katrina's head rests in Fenris's lap, the feline seemingly just a tad too relaxed. "If the guitar is not a possibility, there are other instruments," the she-cat notes. "I can feel the flute in your pocket. Unless you were /that/ happy to see me," she notes with a small smirk, her ears flicking one more time.

Now then... The lady and the troubadour? Knight in shining armour... There are so many good songs to be played...

Fenris frowns at the presumptious lady as she awkwardly nudges his guitar from his lap. That is not a flute. It is a blasting rod, though there is certainly no need for Katrina to know that. "Miss Katrina," he says, "This is unseemly." The liger gently moves the woman's head and retakes his place on a bench to sing Katrina's requested song. The lady and the troubador is another ballad, this one about a musician who charms a court lady into forsaking her wealth and family position to follow the singer away into a far of country. It is a beautiful song, though it swiftly becomes apparent that Fenris's heart is not in it. The liger is trying to decide on the best route of escape at this point. It had been a bad idea to come here.

A small sigh, a flick of Katrina's tail as she looks up at the sky. "pardon me. I stepped... Out of line. How unladylike," the feline notes, simply closing her eyes and shaking her head.

"'t has been a long trek since I left Cliffside, and I haven't exactly slept properly for a while," she notes. "My pardon. Please, continue playing. No more avances tonight, I promise."

Fenris nods as he finishes playing the requested song. "Thank you for your invitation, Miss Katrina," he says, bowing low, "But I fear that I must attend to other obligations." The liger straightens and slings his guitar across his back. "I am sure we will see each other again soon," he says.

Katrina admits a soft sigh, before she shakes her head. "I will bother you no further... I have done enough," she rumbles softy, her tail curled around her leg and her ears flicking lightly as she looks up at the starry sky. "And I do apologize for my behavior... It is quite... Improper."

"You are forgiven, then," Fenris says, a hint of his smile returning, "And believe me when I say that I am too old for you, Miss." The liger gives a little wave and heads out into the gardens on his way to his nightly engagement at the Freeswords.

"One is only too old for another if the other thinks so... Keep it in mind, mister Fenris... Isn't that what all those songs say? Love will find a way? It IS the one recurring element, is it not?" she rumbles with a faint smile, a flick of her ears. "Not... That I'm saying it is, but considering you are implying as much..."

Fenris stops in his tracks and turns. "Yes," the liger says, "That is what I hope. Love will find a way." He smiles, but it is evident that that sunny smile is not for Katrina. "Good day, Miss Silkenfur," he says, "Maybe next time we can talk face to face without that mask in the way." With that, the feline vanishes around a corner and is gone.
