Tis a sunny summer day, the sun shining brightly with only scattered clouds and the outside reaching towards ninety degrees F. Fortunately, the inside of the castle is kept cool and dry with subtle air and water magics, allowing people to work in comfort as they fill in the courtroom. The Good King presides on the highest chair, with the council of the people spread out around him. Mione stands nearby with a quill and pad, ready to do his job, along with several stout royal guard.

It was times like this Mirana really wished she had a proxy she could send in her place. But there was also a lot to be said for showing up in person. With a sigh she looks at the steps leading up toward the courts, carefully walking up them. The moment she'd heard there was something this severe happening anywhere on Promise, she was hopeful there was going to be a swift convening. Entering into the court, she slowly moves her way over and around to take a seat. She fiddles with her locket, feeling certain of her choices. She awaits a decleration that the floor is open, or what other concerns may be voiced.

Cassidy shuffles into the castle, dressed in her typical finery and hat, though she left her mask hanging from her hip out of respect for the time being. She moves off to settle into a seat near the rest of her kin, stifling a little yawn. She didn't have much to talk about herself, but she liked listening, usually. It was something to do at least, and to show her support and presence.

Cythim followes shorty as she went inside the castle. Wear a red overdress on top of a white underdress, she was wearing a hood bur removed it by respect. She searched around for a place where she could hear and see properly while she wondered what were the events that lead to this announcement.

As showing up wearing a plague mask might be considered to be 'in poor taste,' Thelergramor left it at home. Never one to wear finery, even though he has it, the wolf shows up in his torn, bloody coat. Good luck not getting turned away at the door, right? Knowing very little about, well, anything related to the king or his governing, Thel will likely have little to add. But, he was bored. And so, here he is. Heads in, or tries to.

The gavel is struck, "Court is now in session," speaks the Good King, appearing to be in fine health and spirit. "What is first on the docket today?" he asks, looking towards Mione.

"It has been proposed," speaks the rodent scholar, "That the crown officially recognize the sex and species of the fleshcrafted, for matters of lineage. The proposer has declined to argue their case personally."

Now there was something of interest! Mirana ponders a moment if that was about Jessica. A very strange thing if it was not. She had her own feeling about that. With a slight grunt she stands, looking over and cathcing Cythim walking in, Cassidy, and Thele. Looking back to the king and Mione, "Lady Mirana Solacious, my liege, if I may have the floor a moment?" She asks. After, she awaits being recognized before continuing.

Cassidy cants her head to the side. An interesting topic, to be sure. She folds her arms and looks over towards Mirana, waiting to hear her speak as she starts to start pondering her own assumptions as to the origin of the topic.

With a subtle nod from the king, Mione calls out, "The court recognizes Lady Mirana Solacious! Please step forward and be heard, m'lady."

She wonder to herself, "Fleshcrafting? Maybe that's related to the creators". As she was thinking about it, she cross her arms and notice Lady Mirana asking for an audience, and followed her with her eyes. As Mione called her out, she moved her regard toward the court, staying silent and waiting for what to come.

Thelergramor thinks he knows why this topic is important. Though, doesn't make much difference to him what comes of the discussion. Watches in silence, occasionally looking at other beings in the room.

Mirana shuffles her way out from infront of her seat, stepping forward. "This is quite the prospect, I must say, not one to be consitered lightly from any angle. I would speak for this passing and being recognized. We do not begrudge the union between those whom share love but are not traditional. I would take the bonding of Mazurek and Ixitixl. Both of whom are male, and bonded because of their love and a shared sacred family. Now, it may be asked why this is of importance? I myself am a Pheonix, and while I prefer the form I was born in, there is nothing to say that my lifebonded could have been another Pheonix. Mayhaps this being was born a mouse! Or born a feline! Let's also continue on that they would be willing to change themselves, to be a fox like myself, so should we be bonded it would be much easier recognised, and accepted. Should we deny that acceptance? This of course would not make such a being a noble in their own right, but a knight of course, but should that be denied them? And should we have children, should they be cast to the side? Now, I'm aware that some my discuss the debotchery that such a thing could lead to. Unsavory actions and impure intentions. This could well indeed be a very unusual case, but in such events, would we be right in denying a being whom they charish?" She asks, looking about, not only to King Good and Mione, but around to the court as well.

Cassidy listens quietly, nodding along. She had little to do with fleshcrafting, but matters of... Alternative union was certainly of concern to her, all things considered. So, she watches to see what kind of rebuttals might be made, and how.

"Very well said," speaks the Good King, "But this is not purely, or even largely, a matter of lifebonds. There have been non-traditional lifebonds for some time, between those fated to never concieve child. In many ways, it is very easy to reconcile, as the family line dies with them." He drums his fingers against the wood as he looks over the crowd, "But the new act of fleshcrafting changes things. A parrot can take on the form of a cat, and join the Longtails. Would, and should, such union be recognized? Would their children be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the noble house? How long before the Goods are met with courters taking on hippo form, hoping to get lucky?"

Cythim simply listened to Mirana, seeing in her mind the situation she described in her mind as best as she could. While she also agree to Mirana, she can't be helped but wonder about the comment of the Good King. The problem wouldn't be if it occured but what would occured if they joined the nobility or the royal family. Thinking that it isn't the proper time to speak, she simply stand still on her seat, waiting.

Elijah lumbers into the area of the court reserved for spectators of the common variety. "What did I miss?" he rumbles to someone nearby. The grizzly does nit really expect to understand much of the politics and policy, that 's what nobles were for, but he could not pass up an opportunity to see King Good in person!
