A mumble sounds, and the bright neon-orange haired head of House Longtail is resting in one of the seats besides the stairs. She looks tired and preoccupied, her ears flicking lightly and her trio of tails swaying behind her as she plays some with her scorcher.

Samira peeks in from one of the adjacent rooms, eyes scanning around for any sign of the tiger. The skunk's been exploring the mansion for a good few hours now and still hasn't lost any of her initial enthusiasm and wonder at the mansion. The kitchens managed to occupy her for a while but now she's wandering up to Flora again, eager to see the something new!

Sveta comes up from the production floor, taking a moment to examine the tired-looking Flora in the chair, then at Samira peeking in. Taking note of the former, the goshawk moves to the latter - hopefully Samira will have the sense to let Lady Longtail rest.

A mumble, a small smile as Flora claps her hands, gesturing at the seats in besides the bench, her tails still flicking behind her as she stretches out. She seems a bit tired, although definitely awake.

Her ears flick a little while she looks between Sveta and Samira, rumbling lightly. "How has friend Sveta been?" she finally asks, before turning to Samira with a huff. "Flora would appreciate it if miss Samira stayed around during a tour next time, yes."

Samira wanders closer and takes a seat, still scanning the lobby for anything she hasn't stared at yet. Luckily she finds nothing and her attention drifts back to Flora in time for her to catch the end of Flora's statement. "Sorry... There was just so much to see!" she churrs, bouncing slightly in her seat. On the whole it might be a good thing that she got distracted by one of the storage cupboards, there's a limit to how many times you can shout at her to hurry up before it becomes frustrating.

Sveta nods and smiles a little at Flora's concern, although she doesn't quite take a seat yet. "Thank you. I've been out with that umm...friend of mine, but how about you? You look quite tired." And to Samira: "Enthusiasm is fine and all, you it does need discipline to be directed in a useful fashion. Like Flora does, of course."

Flora chuckles lightly as she grins towards Sveta. "Why does friend Sveta hesitate to call mister Trace a friend?" she rumbles with that cheshire grin, tails flicking behind her, almost as if to suggest there might be more.

"And Flora is quite tired, yes... Flora has been having correspondence with mister Boris Singewing from Cliffside... Flora is planning on hosting an event soon, yes... Matthews is working on hiring a few more beings as security-staff, and Flora found one or two sales-beings, yes... With some luck, friend Angus will be able to convince his peers to buy a few cameras and camera-services from LongTech as well... But Flora hasn't had a lot of rest yet, no. Flora is also still planning the lifebond, yes yes," she mumbles, before looking out over the room. "And Flora is scheduling a visit to the church to see if they have any broken schorchers Flora can have, yes."

Samira eagerly nods at Sveta's suggestion of acquiring a direction, but seems more interested in the device that Flora was playing with a second ago. She's smart enough to not reach out towards it, but that doesn't stop her from staring at it as the conversation goes on around her. Her ears perk up at the mention of LongTech, the skunkette waiting until Flora's done before speaking up. "Ooh, what about that pen thingie I used when I signed the contract?"

Sveta halfheartedly waves off Flora's question. "Well...maybe he is a friend. Or a not-friend. Or more than a friend. You know what I mean. It's hard to say what he is, considering he's at the boundaries of so many things." She's obviously evading the question.

"Ah, yes, the joys of administration. Do remind me to never get as involved as possible in all that. So far, Samira, the pen is currently being readied for mass-market. As Flora showed us the last time, she's had some ideas for protecting her invention, and yet those need to be made as high quality and yet as cheaply as possible. Then there's the matter of clearing the way for the refill stands to be set up about Firmament...although I still think we should have one permament store outside the manor. where better to buy Longtech products, after all?"

Flora nods in agreement, her tails flicking behind her. "Flora will need to speak with friend Selena as well. She can give us an in into the academy, maybe even finding a way to allow us to sell the pens on-campus, yes yes."

"As for mister Trace being a maybe friend or maybe not friend or maybe more than that... Flora thinks Flora was right about him, yes yes," she muses with a smirk, offering, well... Not a wink. Any other being would've winked at Sveta in this situation, but not Flora. Flora just smiles at her for a while, before holding up her scorcher. "Flora does not believe she's shown this to miss Samira yet, no... This is a scorcher. Creator technology. And Miss Doctor Sinclair showed Flora how to turn it down, yes yes. It makes dots now... Unless Flora wants it to destroy things, yes. Then Flora can turn it up."

Samira looks between the two as the talk of friends and not friends goes on, a little clueless as to how such a simple question can go un-answered. Still, she stays quiet and waits for the strange device to be named. "It... makes dots?" she murmurs, tilting her head to the side. "Like ink would?" she says as she leans in closer, almost uncomfortably so. It's probably not a good idea to lean towards something quoted as being a scorcher, but the skunk is far too intrigued by the technology.

Sveta frowns. "It's a scorcher, Samira. That thing does create a dot, I suppose. It burns. Quite badly, I'd say."

"No no. Miss Doctor Sinclair showed Flora how to turn it down, yes! It shoots harmless dots, too... Still, Flora, flora would appreciate a bit more distance, yes," she mumbles, shaking her head lightly and pointing the scorcher at Sveta's hand, where a harmless red dot appears, before she turns it off again. "This will help Flora with the research on light, yes yes... And Flora hopes to get one or two more broken scorchers from the church, to see if Flora can make them work again!"

Samira oohs as it creates a dot on the bird's hand, at a distance none the less! Happy to have seen what it's for she stops leaning quite so close and instead sits upright in her seat, tail swishing around every so often. The skunk's attention drifts quickly away from the device and over to the bird. She tilts her head for a while as she tries to remember what species she is, oblivious to how strange her staring looks.

Sveta openly winces as Flora shines the...well, what used to be the scorcher, although it can't rightly be called that any more, can it? "Well, if the good doctor says it's all right, then it'll be, I suppose," she says, although she still flinches. "So, with all the work going on these days...how go the preparations for the lifebonding? I don't think I've heard very much - I know it's supposed to be hush-hush, but even so..."

"Flora is working on it, yes... We'll be inviting the various noble houses, the Good King, and other visitors have to let us know they will be visiting beforehand, so we can do a background check, yes yes," she murrs with a slight grin, before leaning back. "Flora was thinking of doing it in the forest, yes... In the evening, with the luma bugs nearby, providing natural light, yes yes.

Sveta nods. "I do hope it's good - I haven't been to many of those things myself. Not much reason for me to be, I suppose. But if there's anyway I can help, just let me know."
