Flora appears to be sleeping at her desc, her head sideways on the flat surface and her tails low to the ground. Besides her head rests a cliffside-branded paper about some... Alchemical theories of sorts.

And right now, the feline is snoring.

Matthews slinks quietly into the room, a suit and tie covering him to leave him almost looking the perfect part of a butler. The Tomcat's lips pull into a smile as he watches her for a few moments before moving to cross the room... His hands reaching out to gently tap her shoulders while he whispers to her. "Now now Love, this is not a good place to sleep."

Flora mumbles, then starts and hisses as she wakes, before mombling again as she notices Matthews' presence. "Flora... Flora is quite alright, yes," she mutters, her tails swishing behind her as she looks back to her papers with a wide yawn.

Matthews smiles gently as he chuckles, his hands giving her shoulders a gentle squeeze before he finds a chair to pull up next to her own. "I am certain you are healthy, but sleeping like that is not good for your back. Could develop a crooked back if you stay like that for too long, and that'd make working even more difficult." His gaze flicking over to her papers as he tilts his head. "What are you working on here?"

Flora looks to her paper, before mumbling again. "Flora was reading through the papers the cliffsiders gave Flora... Should be useful, tells us how much faster things react go with temperature, amount of alchemical reagents, and so on... Only works for one substance, though," she mumbles, before grinning broadly. "The one substance we need for the camera."

Matthews nods with a grin as he reaches out to try and gently place his hand over her own, his tail flicking behind him happily. "That's great news then, that'll save us valuable research time indeed. Have you told the others about it yet?" A low purr rising from the tomcat as he looks to her, his gaze soft and kind.

Another flick of Flora's tails, another mumble. "They use a... More complex way of getting it in its pure form, though. Flora will need to see if we can use their methods," she concludes, before looking up at Matthews. "Flora has been flipping through the papers, mostly. Hasn't had the time to speak with friend Sveta yet."

"Flora also needs to... We... We need to plan things, yes... Can't delay, no."

Matthews goes to give her hand a gentle squeeze as he nods, his posture straightening as he sits up fully right in his chair and takes a deep breath. "... Yes... Yes we do. Are you certain though that-- Well that you want it to be me? It's just that I'm a very flawed man and I'd not want you to placed into an unhappy situation if you didn't want to..."

Flora nods once, tail swaying behind her. "Why would Flora be uncertain?" she mumbles confusedly, her ears folded back against her skull at the mere suggestion. "Why... Why would Flora not be certain?" she asks again.

Matthews feels his voice catch in his throat for a moment as he dips his head, gaze traveling down to the floor as he mumbles gently. "Because she did not plan for this I believe... Because Matthews is afraid that he's still not worthy for someone like her, and it scares him that she may find his fears true and grow unhappy with him over time... The last thing he wants to do, is hurt his beloved Flora."

Flora frowns a moment, before looking up. "Flora didn't plan for kittens, no... But. That doesn't mean Flora didn't want kittens, either... Or that Flora doesn't want Matthews, no," she mumbles, before resting her head against his chest as she leans back in her chair.

Matthews looks up as she rests her head against his chest, the Tomcat smiling gently as he nods down to her. "I... Can't tell you how relieved it makes me to hear such... Which then leaves us to talk of the plans, I'm curious what my beloved Flora desires for her life bonding ceremony."

Flora mumbles a little, her tails swaying behind her and her ears flattening. "Flora would... Prefer a quiet ceremony to attract as little attention as possible... But... Flora is a noble now... And nobles are expected to give big parties, meaning that a quiet, private ceremony would attract more attention, Flora thinks," she mumbles.

Flora nods a tad, her ears flicking lightly, while she looks up at the tomcat. "Flora would need a dress, and Matthews would need a suit, and we need to find a priest, Flora supposes, and..." she mumbles, trailing off again as she tries to think of all the things that need to be taken care of.

Matthews goes to gently brush his hand along her chin as he gives a slight nod. "We will, there are plenty of tailors...
