Flora appears to be sleeping at her desc, her head sideways on the flat surface and her tails low to the ground. Besides her head rests a cliffside-branded paper about some... Alchemical theories of sorts.

And right now, the feline is snoring.

Matthews slinks quietly into the room, a suit and tie covering him to leave him almost looking the perfect part of a butler. The Tomcat's lips pull into a smile as he watches her for a few moments before moving to cross the room... His hands reaching out to gently tap her shoulders while he whispers to her. "Now now Love, this is not a good place to sleep."

Flora mumbles, then starts and hisses as she wakes, before mombling again as she notices Matthews' presence. "Flora... Flora is quite alright, yes," she mutters, her tails swishing behind her as she looks back to her papers with a wide yawn.

Matthews smiles gently as he chuckles, his hands giving her shoulders a gentle squeeze before he finds a chair to pull up next to her own. "I am certain you are healthy, but sleeping like that is not good for your back. Could develop a crooked back if you stay like that for too long, and that'd make working even more difficult." His gaze flicking over to her papers as he tilts his head. "What are you working on here?"

Flora looks to her paper, before mumbling again. "Flora was reading through the papers the cliffsiders gave Flora... Should be useful, tells us how much faster things react go with temperature, amount of alchemical reagents, and so on... Only works for one substance, though," she mumbles, before grinning broadly. "The one substance we need for the camera."

Matthews nods with a grin as he reaches out to try and gently place his hand over her own, his tail flicking behind him happily. "That's great news then, that'll save us valuable research time indeed. Have you told the others about it yet?" A low purr rising from the tomcat as he looks to her, his gaze soft and kind.

Another flick of Flora's tails, another mumble. "They use a... More complex way of getting it in its pure form, though. Flora will need to see if we can use their methods," she concludes, before looking up at Matthews. "Flora has been flipping through the papers, mostly. Hasn't had the time to speak with friend Sveta yet."

"Flora also needs to... We... We need to plan things, yes... Can't delay, no."

Matthews goes to give her hand a gentle squeeze as he nods, his posture straightening as he sits up fully right in his chair and takes a deep breath. "... Yes... Yes we do. Are you certain though that-- Well that you want it to be me? It's just that I'm a very flawed man and I'd not want you to placed into an unhappy situation if you didn't want to..."

Flora nods once, tail swaying behind her. "Why would Flora be uncertain?" she mumbles confusedly, her ears folded back against her skull at the mere suggestion. "Why... Why would Flora not be certain?" she asks again.

Matthews feels his voice catch in his throat for a moment as he dips his head, gaze traveling down to the floor as he mumbles gently. "Because she did not plan for this I believe... Because Matthews is afraid that he's still not worthy for someone like her, and it scares him that she may find his fears true and grow unhappy with him over time... The last thing he wants to do, is hurt his beloved Flora."

Flora frowns a moment, before looking up. "Flora didn't plan for kittens, no... But. That doesn't mean Flora didn't want kittens, either... Or that Flora doesn't want Matthews, no," she mumbles, before resting her head against his chest as she leans back in her chair.

Matthews looks up as she rests her head against his chest, the Tomcat smiling gently as he nods down to her. "I... Can't tell you how relieved it makes me to hear such... Which then leaves us to talk of the plans, I'm curious what my beloved Flora desires for her life bonding ceremony."

Flora mumbles a little, her tails swaying behind her and her ears flattening. "Flora would... Prefer a quiet ceremony to attract as little attention as possible... But... Flora is a noble now... And nobles are expected to give big parties, meaning that a quiet, private ceremony would attract more attention, Flora thinks," she mumbles.

Matthews shakes his head gently as he gently nuzzles the top of her head, his tail flicking in contemplation. "It won't be their day Flora... And people already know you're not a fan of crowds. Nobody would blame you for a ceremony with just friends, in a nice and quiet place and day... Besides, that also reduces the chances of people trying to cause you trouble at it.

Flora nods a tad, her ears flicking lightly, while she looks up at the tomcat. "Flora would need a dress, and Matthews would need a suit, and we need to find a priest, Flora supposes, and..." she mumbles, trailing off again as she tries to think of all the things that need to be taken care of.

Matthews goes to gently brush his hand along her chin as he gives a slight nod. "We will, there are plenty of tailors... I'm certain we can find a good priest, if you know any that'd probably be even greater. We'll need to rent a spot as well, then get chairs for guests, and we'll of course need catering for the guests. Actually, we could have it in the manor if you wanted, decorate it nicely and have all our friends show up for it."

"Manor would be a bad idea, yes... Would be a perfect opportunity for a bad guest to rummage through Flora's things, sneak into the lab, or other things. Flora would prefer somewhere else, yes yes. And Flora doesn't know any priests, no."

Matthews furrows his brow as he thinks, his tail flicking as he gives a slight nod. "Right... Could see if any other nobles you are friends with, would like to hold it in their manors. Failing that, we could always go for a more floral location, a garden or the forest perhaps? Naturally could go classic and see if the church would allow us to hold the ceremony there as well."

Flora nods and flicks her ears. "Flora... Flora wouldn't mind the forest in the evening, no," she mumbles after a few moments, her tails flicking behind her and her ears twitching a tad. "With luma-moths in the area, we'd have light, yes... We could put up some lanterns and set some things down... Flora thinks that would work, yes."

Matthews smiles as he nods in agreement, a gentle purr rising from him as he imagines the scene. "Perfect... Plenty of seating for the guests and everything as well... Now, I could always go and find a catering service to provide snacks for before the ceremony, or we could have your employees cook... Which would you prefere?"

"Best if Lina and friend Sveta take care of food, yes. Less chance of... The other side of the house causing trouble with the food, yes yes," she concludes, her tails swishing behind her and her ears flicking atop her head. "Flora thinks that would be best, yes."

Matthews nods as he goes to give a gentle nibble at her flicking ears for a moment before he looks to her papers once more. "Alright then... We'll want to put someone you can trust in charge of decorations as well... Which then leaves the guest roster. We can do just your friends and business relations, or if you feel you absolutely need to... You could have it open. Either way, it'd be a good plan to send an invitation to each noble house for a represenative, and another to the king out of formallity... Chances are he'll have another attend in his place though." A thought seems to cross his mind as he blinks and straightens his posture. "If... If you did want to, it may be a pleasent idea to extend one to the creator woman as well. They said she was here to study us, and I doubt she's seen a bonding ceremony yet."

A nod, a slight twinkle in Flora's eyes at the mention of the 'creator woman', another nod. "Flora thinks that might be a good idea, yes... And Matthews is right, yes... We should invite each house, and to the crown," she mumbles, scribbling more than a few notes down on a sheet of paper.

Matthews nods, stretching gently as he lowers himself to lean in and whisper gently to her. "If they do come, then the royal guard will most likely provide the security... Meaning even less chance for others to stir up trouble. Aside from those concerns, that leaves the priest or priestess for us to find... I can do some snooping, bring a few for you to see and choose from as well."

Flora nods and flicks her tails again, her ears twitching. "Flora would appreciate that, yes... Flora thinks half-open might be best, yes... Those that wish to come should note their attendance upfront, and then we'll decide if they can come, yes."

Matthews nods and goes to give her a quick kiss on the cheek before patting her shoulders as he stands, his tail flicking as he walks to her bed and sits on it's edge. "Perfect, then tomorrow we can work out who you want to not be allowed and such... But until then, why don't you come here my sleepy Tigress, we can snuggle and you can sleep somewhere more comfortable than a chair."

Flora nods and rumbles softly, her twin tails swaying and her eyes gleaming lightly as she slinks out of her chair, files the papers away, and moves after Matthews with a soft rumble. "Mrrr... Flora isn't sleepy, no. Just looked that way, yes," she mumbles, placing a hand upon Matthews' chest with a grin.
