A notable crowd is starting to build in one of the larger squares in the Academy district. The crowd itself is in a rough half-circle around a disturbingly ornate stagecouch. The stagecoach is covered in a variety of garish colors and complete with various dangling odds and ends most of them shiny and reflective some even colored to look like jewels (though anyone with any appraise would note they aren't expensive but rather reasonable fakes). Moving around the front of the crowd is a young otter girl (think teens) in clothes that seem nice enough but well worn as he calls out, "Come one, come all, watch the Magnificent Moliandru. Master Magus and wielder of the lost arts. See him reveal secrets of the creators long thought lost but uncovered through his majestic research. We'll be starting soon. Don't worry we have some places up at the front for sitting yours for only five crowns! Come on, hurry up, find your spots. And if you need food thanks to our sponsors Osker Mryes over at the corner has some fantastic mysterioso meat!"

Mazurek is one of those who has come, attracted by the town crier-like ambience while he was wandering the market for things. The dragon takes a seat at the front, paying the fee that is asked for if they really do come and get it.

Walden the Armadillo is tall enough that he seems content to stand behind some of the smaller folk up front. "This looks like it could be fun," he states with a jovial smile and attitude.

Rogna approaches the coach and views it curiously. Lost arts are an overstatement, there are so few thing that mages are willing not to document and record. "Hello there. So what do you have here then? This is quite a claim." he says to the otter giri, looking over the coach once more.

Zevran approaches the crowd, drawn by the commotion. He approaches the coach, his attention focused on the garish colors. He eyes the baubles before turning away and finding a spot to stand in the crowd, making sure that he isn't blocking the view of smaller folk. The spot he chooses happens to be close to Walden.

Violet is looking for one of her friends and gets bundled in with the crowd, but no one can say the little white fennec isn't game for fun. She sneaks up to the front of the crowd, trying to get a peek at things.

Ryusho would wander up, only drawn by the comusion and his curriosity, as he had no clue what was going on actually as he seems to be wondering what is going on overall

The young otter girl gets a few takers on seats at the front and mystically makes some cash disappear. There's a sudden crackle in the air and a serious of noises begin coming from inside the stage coach. Snap, Crackle, Pop, Fizzle, and a variety of others not so easily identified. The otter girl surveys the crowd and then nods, "Here we go people! I think the Masterful Moliandru is ready to make his appearance! Please clap and put your hands together. Let's see if he'll come out and grace us with his hard earned wisdom." She begins clapping and nudging those nearest at hand to do so. When enough of the nearby crowd is clapping there's a sudden WHOOSH!

Suddenly a large flame circle goes up in the area cleared between the crowd and the stagecoach the flame rising about ten feet in the air and when it drifts away there is a large hooded figure in front of the stagecoach seemingly having appeared out of nowhere. The figure's face is hidden by the cowl of their robe but they wield an ornate staff that appears to have a generic skull at the top. The staff is raised up and slammed into the ground along with a loud, "GREETINGS STUDENTS!"

Ryusho quirks his brow a bit, students? ...This seems to be a bit of a show, or traveling sales and show or something but he is still currious as he stands, though a bit towards the back of the crowd if possible because he doesn't want to be in the way with his large form as he looks on curriously

Zero, hearing the commotion, goes towards the source.

Mazurek gets caught up in the activities and ends up being one of those who clap and cheer. He is, himself, ten feet tall, yet down to about six while sitting. WIth the flame rising he doesn't even flinch, and he breaks out into a rather big grin when the entire crowd is called the newcomer's students...or was it students in general? He's been studing the magical arts lately, yet he still has the build of a fighter.

Walden's eyes go wide at the whoosh of flames. "Whoaaa!" he exclaims with a grin, applauding excitedly along with the crowd. "That was awesome! And a little scary too," he adds with a chuckle, quivering in anticipation.

Zevran watches curiously as the figure appears from the flames. Sure, it was flashy, but did it really do anything? He was still looking foward to seeing what the hooded figure would show the crowd, and his interest was piqued even more when the figure referred to the crowd as students.

Violet is near the front line, but not one of those who are crazy enough to pay. Hah. Suckers. She's slipping in between people, though to look, sneaky little crazy vixen.

The Mystical Moliandru smiles and walks towards the audience he starts towards the audience moving about half the distance towards him. He lifts his hand and as if on cue his cowl falls back revealing an older looking ferret with portions of the fur around his eye missing. It gives him a rather jarring look. He smiles widely at the audience, "Today I shall share with you secrets of the mystic... arts." As he does so there's a light popping and a series of fires though these one's blue start and remain seeming to sustane. The blue flames flicker eerily but illuminate the front area. Slowly the apparent mage moves along, "You see, I studied many years searching the bowls of the earth for lost knowledge. And today I return to public to share what has been hidden from you!"

The man focuses on one of those in front perhaps Mazurek since he's pretty easy note, "Many have seen elementals of varying power and degree. But you see I have uncovered an elemental unlike any other. Mixing the many elements but stable! Able to control flame, earth, air and water. You wish it to cross water? It can. Fly? It can. Burn? It can! Move things? It can! All this can be yours for a few short payments." He waits there with a large smile, "Don't trust me yet? Just wait! A demonstration!" He moves to the side and suddenly there is a circle with a pentagram and what's more? Of course, it's on fire!"

Walden finally offers a friendly nod in greeting to Zevran. "Hi, been a while," he says with a chuckle. He curiously listens to what this magician has to say about his elemental, and he frowns a little when it's starting to look more like a marketing ploy than entertainment. The armadillo crosses his arms and tilts his head slightly, gazing at the blue flames. "...Neat. Hmm. I like that."

Mazurek is still cheering on with the crowd, and he actually spreads his wings with a broad grin when he is apparently chosen out of those from the crowd. That smile fades, though, when he watches the new flames appear and work their magics. He glances at the 'summoner' and states simply, "I can burn things, fly, and a good portion of all that stuff." He launches a burst of dragon flame-breath up into the sky.

The robed figure raises both hands along with the staff and begins mumbling various jibberish. It sounds like numbers, language, who knows. The staff waving back and forth. Hands lowering and then rising and suddenly there's something... rising. It looks like something rising from the ground. But the colors are a mix, green, grown, red, blue. It seems to vacillate between liquid, solid, and other. The 'mage' raises his voice, "Rise.... RISE...R-I-S-E! Behold MY POWER!" He lifts his hands again and the creature seems to rise to a normal height like a normal elemental. The colors and various elements seem to churn within it and there's a sudden silence.

In this silence there's another arrival the sound of footsteps charging into the area. Someone bearing the armor and bearing of an officer of the Sweetwater law enforcement shows up and points an arm at the performer shouting, "HALT! CHARLATAN!" The ferret turns his head then and blinks, "Buh wha? OH.. shadows...OH shadows!" As his concentration breaks the 'elemental' bursts apart suddenly clumps of dirt and fire fly in every direction. Everyone in the front row? Soaked, as the elemental seems to have mostly been water. Unfortunately in the other direction goes earth and fire. The fire landing on the stage goach where it sizzles for a moment. The earth bowls the ferret over and buries him under it with a loud shriek of indignation.

Rogna watches the mage curiously, analyzing the actions curiously. His magics are not of fire, but of the darkness, and he's curious to this mans abilities. "So, tell me, what do you know of dark mathematics then?" he queiries, willing to test this mans mastery. A showoff indeed but certainly not talented. He watches the scene unfold as he asks and watches the ferret for explanation.

Gl'Amour skips into the district.

Violet isn't soaked, but that guy in front of her? Totally splattered. She giggles softly and peeks out from behind someone else, ears flicking this way and that. THen she darts off to one side, weaving in and out of people to get a look at the mage and the enforcer. For now, she's observing.

Gl'Amour activates her ring of flight and departs.

Mazurek rises to his feet the moment the coach lands on the stagecoach. He is not taking any chances with the thing catching fire and he takes another breath and lets loose with a blast of cold right over it. He ignores the commotion that is starting up at the present time, focusing more on what he's doing. He, himself, doesn't seem to care about being soaked.

Zevran watches the mage's performance, very curious as he sees the elemental of fused elements rise. However, he is distracted by the arrival of the officer and when he looks back, the elemental has been undone. He starts to move up to the front of the crowd to get a better view of what is going on, attempting to move through the crowd without disturbing too many people in his way.

Walden keeps his arms crossed and shakes his head. He glances at the stage coach, perhaps wondering if it's going to ignite fully. "Well... he's certainly losing style points," the armadillo mutters. "Not much of a good show when the whole thing falls apart this easily."

The newly arrived lawman appears to be equine of some form and approaches the mud soaked ferret. He looks to Rogna to offer, "My Lord he knows nothing of such things. He's purely a charlatan who has been suckering people for money through the smaller towns. He thought he could get away from us in the city but I cought wind of it luckily. All show and parlor tricks." The robed-ferret looks mostly bedraggled, "This is an outrage! nonsense. I simply wasn't allowed to complete the ritual."

Even as things seem to be calmed down there's a slight -pop- from the fire sizzling on the stagecoach and then a slight squeak from inside the stagecoach. The young otter who was preparing the audience comes running from the stagecoach, "Everyone run!" She gets a few feet and then ducks underneath the stream of cold that Mazurek sends at the stagecoach. The blast of cold catches all the pieces of burning stagecoach that are headed towards the crowd. On the downside fiery bits still get blown behind the cleared circle towards the inn behind it which begins to burn. Thankfully no one is burned in the crowd, though they do still begin screaming and scattering in each direction with cries of fear.

Ryusho is a bit supprised, and baffled as he blinks and motions, "THE INN!" he calls out, trying to motion, "MAZUREK! The INN!" he calls out, Trying to point it out, as he shifts, and is trying to figure out how he could help, though he -doesn't- have a wide array of magical skills at this time

Violet is not one of those scattering. She's creeping closer to try and see what was in the coach to cause such a big 'splosion and to cause the otter to freak out so much.

Mazurek finishes with dousing the flames on the stagecoach and then turns toward the ferret, heading over to him for an attempt to grab him and hoist him into the air. He is intending to keep the Ferret from escaping and hold him out at arm's length. His job with putting the fire out from the stagecoach, he turns his attention then to the Stallion, "He is indeed no summoner. What everyone saw was a fake." He notes the Inn now caught fire and shouts right back to Ryusho, "THEN PUT IT OUT WITH YOUR ICE BREATH!" Silly Tegu doesn't realize he has all the elements at his disposal apparently.

Rogna shakes his head. "I see." he says as he looks to the otter, having taken moderate cover. "You should not dabble in arts you do not understand, exceeding ones skills is bound to backfire, you would not handle a sword if you were certain you could lop your arm off would you? You begin with practice." he offers. The otter is already in trouble, the least he can do is offer advice for reform. He looks over his surroundings and tries to decide what to do about this, guiding people away from danger as he can.

Walden got his answer. It wasn't quite what he was expecting. "Oh snap!" he curses and moves for cover as it's called. He stares at the inn wide-eyed, trembling. "Oh noooo," he laments, unsure how he could help. He hears a bit of the conversation about the magician; he adds to it: "Fake is good if it's just supposed to be performance. But this, uh, this is... this isn't right."

Ryusho glares at maz, "I don't PRACTICE that! I have practiced -FIre- Breath, but -not- Ice breath!" is his -simple- reply, thats why

Zevran stands still as the crowd scatters around him while he was trying to make his way through it. Instead, he attempts to direct the panickers nearest him away from the burning inn. He did not know too much about any type of magic other than Dark Magic, so he focused his energy on the task of helping the panicking crowd instead of trying to figure out what went wrong with the coach.

The captured ferret squeaks, "That's not my fault! It was almost completed." He gets shook and then there's a rush of air. The equine cop lets out a grunt of pain as the rush of wind slices him and forces him to drop the Ferret who begins bolting away trying to dart past Walden and Violet. Meanwhile the fire is spreading quickly to the inn. Unfortunately the wind excites it and gets a relatively heavy fire going on the building as people begin running out some colliding with the panicked crowd. Injuries begin to ensue. The equine guard suggests, "Well water magics if you have or get a bucket line going! And someone grab that damn ferret." He says as he rubs his hand from where the wind sliced him.

Violet is up on her feet, shooting after the ferret with all the speed of a tiny little rogue who is a bundle of energy regardless the situation. She squeaks, a little sound of excitement and pleasure in the chase as she heads after the ferret.
