As Selena would be in her cell the, time for departure pushed back as Luxania had sent for the wolfess' soul gems, the runner to meet them at the gates of the city when the departed, a sudden explosion rocks the building! The walls shaking as dusy falls, before the two felines from before open the door to her cell and motion her out. "Come on! We need to leave -now-!"

While she was fine before the sudden explosion, Selena is set on edge the moment it rocks the building. "Do you know who's responsible? I'm not particularly surprised, but it'll help if we know." she asks the two cats, picking herself up from the bed to move with some degree of haste to the pair. "I dislike being around explosions either way. They're never a good sign.

"No clue, but we're not taking chances! Come on, we need to get you down to the right wing with Lunaxia, the Captain has horses at the ready for us." The Cats ensuring she's ready before begining to jog, one on each side of her as they make their way up to the intersecation of the pathways.

Selena mutters something under her breath. "The timing seems a bit convenient though, don't you think?" She replies, moving to keep pace with the pair. "Horses, though? I'll stick with flight if possible."

The Cats don't leave much to be said as they begin to cross the intersection, the path to their right that lead to the yard of the prison burst open, as dozens of inmates begin to pour in and engage in combat with a squad of guards that were caught off focus... Though one particularly unlucky guard finds him writhing in pain, with his body decaying as a Raven with a leather mask dashes by him... The woman far more equiped than the inmates, and one of the probably sources of the explosion. "She's here! The Captain is not far as well!"

Selena shudders a little at the sight of the unfortunate guard's fate - despite having seen it before, some things never lose their effect. "... Can't do anything to them without a real soul." She grumbles, cursing loudly at the shout. "Where are we heading? Make it fast!" She demands - it might be strange that she's not heading for perfect cover, but given the nature of the magic being used it's probably because it's not entirely necessary.

"SHIT! Just down this hallway let's go!" The Cat to Selena's left grabbing her wrist as he very bluntly drags her through the hallway, leading her up to the heavily reinforced door that led to the room where she had spoken with Lunaxia last night. The cats ushering her in quickly before shutting it and working to seal it as tight as they could before any of the dark math could escape in to the room.

"Good, you're alright... Listen, we don't have much time. The Lieutenant informed me they've almost wiped out the marksmen on our roof, we're leaving -now- and you're not getting seperated from me so long as you're still in that soul gem." The Mouse walking into Selena's field of view, ladden with her heavy repeating crossbow and a sabre on her hip. "The horses are just on the other side of this door, let's all get going." The two cats shaking their heads as they reach up to fiddle with their own soul gems, before drawing their sword in their right hand, while making a ball of flame in their left. "You two go, we'll kill the crow bitch and buy you all some time... We'll meet you at the fortress."

Selena doesn't seem too pleased with being dragged along, trying her best to keep her composure despite stumbling a little at the sudden redirection and jolt of her arm. When Lunaxia comes into view and begins speaking, though, she raises an eyebrow. "I was told you were fetching my own gems. Do you have them here?" She asks bluntly before nodding back to the cats. "Stay safe. I doubt the freeswords haven't heard about this by now. Much as I'd like to stay and help I'm a little concerned about the beings back at the fortress now." She replies, moving with the ouse to the exit. "I don't want to make a hole in the wall to leave. And I can't do that easily even with my souls."

"No, the runner was dispatched and should have them at the gates for us... And as such, take this." The Mouse reaching onto one of the saddled to throw a thick robes to Selena, before donning her own and climbing onto her horse. "The Lieutenant manning the gates knows not to stop us, and swore to close the gates for an hour after we make our way through."

The Two felines giving a nod and salute to Selena and Lunaxia before they smirk slightly. "Don't worry, we'll be fine." A thick pounding on the door and the sound of straining hinges causing them to refocus as Lunaxia spurs her horse forward some while awaiting Selena so they can take off...

Selena tsks quietly. "Great. Is now a bad time to say that I never have and can not ride a horse?" She grumbles, donning the heavy clothes - though it's not as if she has a better option, managing to hoist herself onto her own without much trouble, able to do little other than to mimic the captain's actions. The cons of being from the city.

The two manage to make their way out just in time it seems, as the door seems to break just as they turn around the corner, the Captain leading Selena on carefully while holding her repeating crossbow in a manner for quick use while glancing over her shoulder. "It's not far to the gates, how many man the fortress for the Ironsouls?" The duo soon arriving at the gate, as the wolf from the night before rides up to toss Selena a small bag containing her soul gems.

Selena gives the wolf an appreciative nod as he passes her the soulgems, making short work of swapping hers back out for her 'normal' ones. "Most days? As of late, not as many as there used to be. Kilsa's been fairly unavailable lately. There's enough beings there to keep it safe, and there's a lot of places on the premises in the fortress proper that still aren't properly documented."

Lunaxia gives the wolf a nod before motioning him to them as her horse kicks up to move through the gate then. "I see... I doubt they have the abilities to hit both spots at once, all they'd need to do is kill us and nobody would know where the book is after all. Richard will ride with us, and hopefully we should make it before nightfall... I am sorry this is happening."

The wolf as silent as ever as he moves next to Selena's horse, and takes it's reigns to help lead the inexperienced rider along with a grunt.

Selena shakes her head. "I'd rather not make any assumptions about where they are or aren't. If you give me a few moment I'll be able to keep pace without the horse - it'll probably be faster that way." She notes, looking back to the mouse. "It's not something you should be apologizing for, though. It's neither your fault nor your responsibility. I want to know how exactly they were made aware of my presence there though; from the sounds of things they were looking for me specifically."

The wolf nods and pauses for Selena to go ahead and use her math to help carry along side the guards as the captain speaks. "Most likely they were watching your home. Breaking in and killing you would draw attention after your waved that book around, but in the midst of a prison riot? It'd make sense to say the least... And that they didn't attack the entrance speaks of them thinking we kept you closer to the general populations, so we most likely did not have an inside leak."

Selena shakes her head. "I wasn't even back at home until that day. Until that point I was staying at the Solacious Manor waiting for a friend to recover." She replies concernedly. "Either they've been waiting and planning or there's something else going on here." She replies, dismounting the horse and starting to propel herself forwards through 'jumps' of air magic. "It's something I may want to look into later though. I'm quite fond of my house being habitable."
