An evening in Mange Square, although not a typical one one would expect, for a given value of typical in such a place. There appears to be considerable hand to hand fighting on the streets, as if someone is trying to commit a whole deal of violence without making it too obvious, the only true signs being silhouettes in the dark, and the occasional being staggering away, bruised and bleeding. Unfortunately, the scuffling has gotten so bad that even the usual bribes from the thieves' guild aren't quite enough to keep official investigation away - which has arrived now, if belatedly so.

Another fight so soon, what's going on? Angus storms out to Mange square with a scowl, prepared for war this time as he draws his rapier and looks around. "...The City guard is going to have a field day with this once they get down here..." He mutters as he looks around to see what he should do.

Ranawhin steps onto the streets directly from the Guild Hall, the plates of her armor freshly buckled in place - dulled and darkened, but only enough to keep from shining in what light there is. Her curving scimitar is in one hand, and ther other is holding a knife-like blade partially concealed by a small, ovular shield strapped to her left arm. She begins prowling through the streets, eyes focused and nose sniffing for the scent of blood.

Ryusho makes his way along, down the streets as he makes his way there, hearing this as his sword and axe were still upon his sides, but he had slipped his armor on, even though he was still dripping from sweat, that is yes, he does sweat, but that and the scent on him shows he had been working the forge when this happened, and he got quickly set up to see what in the world was going on..and aid as he could.as it sounded bad, though he normally draws weapons when needed, not pre-emptively, especially while within town, though he was ready at a moments notice....

Unfortunately for Angus, there isn't so much an outright war as there is quite a bit of a scuffle. At least, no one seems to have died yet, but there are a lot of places for a body to hide in the alleyway leading off Mange Square, and the trapising of the rest of the guards joining in the noisy arrival hasn't made things much better.

More flickers in the shadows, more trouble, perhaps, but it seems that it's doing its best to stay away from the guards while working out its own differences. Well, if trouble won't come to the good people, maybe they'll just have to find it. The peace has to be kept, right?

Angus nods, waving to both Ryu and Ranawhin in greeting before he points towards the shadows. "Mind helping me with these?" He asks before he starts towards the nearest pair of moving shadows, his blade extended just in case it was needed.

Ranawhin rolls her eyes at Angus, as he takes the lead, and continues scenting at the air as she presses forward. "Need to be quiet and careful, or else they'll run. charging ahead is just going to give them warning." She does nod towards the other fox, and the tegu, as well.

Ryusho hums softly, considering his large form he would look to where they were heading, and decide similarly, though moving at a different direction, to take a different route almost to the same basic place, just so he can be 'in the way' if they try to run from the two, to go past the one...even if he is a big guy..

Eleni grumbles something to herself, telltale sounds of armor heralding the fennec's approach to the area. A polite wave is given to the beings present, though she sizes up Ryusho for a moment before greeting the group proper - a quiet tone to be sure. "An' what've I missed? Can damn well trust the guard ta forget to tell me their bloody roster changes..."

Eleni's question is rapidly answered by what happens next - having plenty of time to react due to Angus' bold approach, the particular beings whom Angus was heading for immediately drop their little job and scuffle into the shadows. Chasing them down might be possible, but the chances are probably slim. However, it wasn't as if they were about to carry off their target - a ginger cat now lying bruised, bloodied and senseless on the cobblestones. It's likely that the entire fight taking place about Mange Square is comprised of many small fights like this - but where to start investigating?

Ryusho would almost miss the two guys who would take off running, but unable to try to help catch them, he would shift, as he quickly makes his way over to the one who is downed, opening the pack he keeps with him when he is out, to quickly search through and begin collecting bandages, gause, and the like, from his pouch to begin working and bandaging, binding wounds, as he shifts, "...He is not going to be into any major danger it seems, but he won't be able to tell us anything for a while either...he is -out- right now.

Eleni growls to herself, taking off after one of the beings as they flee - redirection not quite possible from her position given the time she acts in, disappearing around a corner and pulling her helmet on. A few moments pass before she ducks back around to beckon to the group before she moves back into whatever it was she found, along with a fairly loud, "Right, Break it up! The hell do ya think you're doin'?"

Angus sighs as the beings run, he should really start concealing himself a little bit more while in Mange square. He sheaths his rapier as he eyes the feline that they left them, which Ryu starts to treat. "Well, there goes a chance of an interrogation." He mutters, before catching Eleni out of the corner of his eye and hearing her shout. "Oh boy, this should be fun." He mutters, cocking his hat a little to the side as he goes to give Eleni some backup.

Ranawhin shakes her head, sighing, and nods to Ryusho. "Thanks for tending to him. I'm all fumbly with bandages - can't really patch myself up, let alone someone else, hm?" Then she proceeds after Eleni and Angus, shaking her head at their ideas for 'stealth' including bellowing at the groups instead of walking up and shanking them, instead. Ah, well. "This should be fun indeed." She murmurs, squeezing the grips of her weapons and putting on a burst of speed.

Ryusho takes a deep breath, as he would work to finish tending to the guy, and if he could, he would see if he could get a guard to come, to get him out to safety, before he would actually, Go to head after Angus and Ranawhyn, to aid Eleni.

Quickly, the rest of the guards catch up to Ryusho, quickly giving the downed feline a look-over. "We've got this," one of them says. "If there's no problem with him, we'll have a few greenhorns take him back down to the watch house and he can answer some questions when he comes to. You can regroup with the rest as you like."

In other news, the beings hardly cease their scuffle as Eleni approaches, Angus and Rana still some ways off - although one of them pauses long enough to scowl furiously at her. "Piss off, copper. We're on the same side today, keeping the peace against no-gooders. Leave us to do our job."

"If we are on the same side what's the point of pissing off?" Angus snaps back as he crosses his arms and steps up next to Eleni, tails flicking in irritation as he stands out like a sore thumb, not even bothering to use stealth as he managed to break up the last fight just by being present....

Ranawhin steps up beside the pair with a soft side, scimitar by her side - but her shield and dagger held up in a semi-ready position, in case someone tries something. "Not the most diplomatic way to put it, but it's a sound way despite. Who're the ne'er do wells in question?" She tries examining the foe.

Ryusho would be 'late' for the big dragon to show up technically, though as he does, he does make the...very imposing figure when he makes his way considering he is at -least- twice as tall as the average 'humanoid' height ...and considering his gear is all made to match his height, ..it does make him a rather large figure... "....The -problem- is that everyone is -fighting- right now." he says softly to himself, thats what he problem is, not that it is one side or the other, but that they are fighting

Eleni gestures bacm to the fox. "As he said, cupcake. Best start explainin', or does a term for assault an' battery strike ya fancy?" She replies in a tone to equal the brawler's. "Since ya see, us guards don't much like bein' told we ain't ta do our job."

Looking rather bored as she finally catches up with the guards, the small snowshoe seems completely unbothered by the ensuing bit of chaos this place was known for. "Awww, I was late to the party.", muttering with a long drawn sigh, she looked the guards over with a casual wave before following a bit behind them with her bow drawn.

Eleni's question doesn't get an immediate reply - at least, not until a good number of one side has been knocked clean out with fists and fangs alike. The remainder, rapidly realising they're becoming outnumbered, are herded towards the guards by the victors, albeit very, very reluctantly, constantly looking for an opportunity to make a break for it.

A fennec steps forward from the mess. "Well if you don't want to be told to do your job, coppers, then damn well do it before your friendly neighbourhood watch has to take things into their own hands, and actually patrol this place. These scum 'ave been selling bad-cut ebon in the alleys for the last few weeks, and none of us here like seeing our customers killed off. It's bad for business.

"Don't worry, we all agreed not to kill no one if we could help it. Seems like Lin and her lads are mopping things up next street over, from the sounds of it," the fennec continues, cocking a large ear. "Doubt us? Search these bastards, and you'll find what they were pushing." He aims a savage kick at one of the downed beings, eliciting a pained groan.

Angus blinks, taking a few seconds to register what they were saying before he draws his rapier again. "Let me guess, they use Heartfire in their ebon don't they?" He asks as he looks between the two groups, before he advances on the slowly shrinking one. "Definitly something we should take care of."

Ranawhin glances between Angus, the thieves, and the dealers. "Heel, Angus. I'm sure they've got plenty of information we can't get from them when they're dead - so, despite how much we all want to ram our blades down their throats and through their hearts, we need to take them in." A pause, letting the scum have a chance to gather hope, before; "So keep it from being mortal."

Ryusho hums softly, "...Indeed but we do need to attempt to stop them." he says softly, "The key is attempt to prevent it from being mortal." he says softly, "....If they attempt to cause serrious harm to you, and you end up doing such back to prevent them, thats their fault for not going down easy." he says with a phrase but he grins, a..big dragon fist can be quite the....blunt weapon that can knock out.

Eleni gives an unimpressed sigh. "Well. Ain't that about to change. I do my job and I do it well. Ain't my fault if ya happen ta have had a more spineless lot down here, an I appreciate that ya have been workin' ta keep the place some semblance a' clean." she replies, tapping her foot on the ground. "Between you an' me? 's a bloody disappointment the place ain't guarded better."

That said, the fennec glances back over to Angus; "Ebon, sure. Heard all about that. didn't hear anythin' about lacin' the stuff with more poison, though. Probably says somethin' bout the chain a' command."

Tzerya yawns as she continues behind the guards, starting to notice something in the distance with a raised brow as she chuckles softly. "Ohh, goody.", her left ear going half drooped, she hadn't noticed the others yet, being rather short compared to the average and having quite a bit of guards, not to mention Ryusho in front of that issue. "Seriously, what's going on up ahead, make a path.", she grumbled trying to move between the guards for a better view of what was ahead.

Nodding, the guards behind the group move forward and search some of the downed beings, roughly pulling them to their feet. Indeed, several packets of blackened power pressed into cakes and wrapped in waxed paper are found on their person, and these are promptly confiscated as well to have an alchemist look at them later. their job done, the victorious brawlers pull together in an organised fashion about the fennec.

"Why poison? Can't say myself, but hear tell it's like a hot haze, a sauna bath. Don't want to kill myself finding out. Why don't you ask these scum once you've taken them right in? So then, coppers, are we going to be taken in or anything doing your work for you, or can we go now? We're just a bunch of concerned citizens, after all."

Angus quirks an eyebrow as he turns to Ranawhin. "Who said anything about Mortal wounds?" Shaking his head he turns back to the crowd, and just smiles. "Why would we take in a bunch of concerned citizens who were trying to help the law?" He asks, hinting that he was going to do nothing as he turns to the others of the group and shrugs. "In my opinion we have nothing to use to press charges against, since you were just defending yourselves against these ruthless drug dealers."

Ryusho hums softly, and bows his head, "...To protect oneself from danger is not worth punishment." he says softly, "..Though the main guards may still wish to have a word with you as..some who have been found are in rather..beat up shape..that looks rather bad." he says simply

Eleni shakes her head. "I ain't complainin'. I asked for ya explanation and ya gave one. But if It so pleases ya, try not ta beat em' inta unconsciousness. It encourages 'em ta bring friends, bit like Skrith if ya asked me." she replies, tapping a foot against the pavement.

Tzerya eventually manages to slip through most of the guards once they reach their destination, her ears completely drooping as she reached the front only to see Ryusho. Grumbling softly to herself, she went around the side of the dragon with, noticing the 'citizens' with a raises brow before cocking her head to Anugs and the others. "Wow, you guys have been busy. Anything interesting?"

"Hey, we aren't complaining either." With a smirk and chuckle, the fennec gathers his little band and gives the group and guards a cheery wave. "Take good care of them, then, and lock the bastards away for a long time. I'm sure we'll be seeing you around...soon. You can search this place later, too - it's one of the locations they were operating out of." With that, they're gone, disappearing with practiced ease into the shadows, leaving everyone to clean up.
