Siyu gives a brief little sigh as the moniter lizard falls silent, and the rodent tisks, using a little fire to burn away his gloves and put on new ones, "Nothing else we can do, he is too far gone, too far gone for any of this." he clears his throat as he lets Fay hold his bag, and look back to the raven. "Shall we continue then? I am going to be needing to examine quite a few things. I hope we can help, but we should move quickly. We can get the strips to the clinics very quickly, but...ah...is the Cardinal available?"
Thelergramor just sort of remains hidden off to the side; still watching the fennec whom he was ordered to keep an eye on. Listens to the answers given to Sylera, but has no comment to make.
Angus crosses his arms as he looks around, blinking as he hears someone talking to them. "Eh?" He asks, blinking as he looks down at the jerky. "Jerky?" He asks as he takes the piece, eyeing it a bit as his tail flicks.
Rokarion's leafy ears perk up at the sound of a new being. Rokarion turns his head to watch the squirrel, before looking down at the jerky. Not wanting to eat food in an infected city, but also not to sound rude, Rokarion raises an arm, and says in a polite manner, "I thank you for the offer good sir. However, I am neither hungry nor a fan of meat in general." Thinking for a moment, Rokarion decides to ask, "If I may ask, what kind of spices and seasonings did you put inside the jerky?" While Rokarion is not expecting much, there is no harm in asking.
After a moment more, the coyote comes back out, "You, you are a doctor as well arn't you? Come back here, I could use a hand." Waving over to Sylera, who moves over to see what she can do in the back to help as well. The fennec walks over, "So, they have something to find what is causing this?" The secritary noding back, "That is what she said, but can't be sure really. I mean, do you trust doctors from a far off land?" She asks back. The fennec shrugs, "If she has a way to help..." Before continuing his rounds.
Similarly, Fay looks over to Siyu, "I'll take him back to the clinic and see you after..." She says grimly, before taking hold of the declining lizard and walking off. The raven shakes his head, "I'm sorry good Siyu, but he is not avilible, if you have any questions I might be able to answer though, feel free to ask. Anything we can do to help, we will gladly do." He says, "Come now, when was the last time you heard the words of the First Text?" He asks.
The chipmonk looks up at Rokarion as he declines the food, but asks about it, "Oh! That is a trade secret of The Watering Hole. I can't just let anyone just know it!" She says with a wink, but as Angus takes a piece, "Go ahead, a sample though is quite free! Much more and other wonderful foods, if you'll follow me that is."
Siyu clears his throat, "It has been...not that long. I have not been to the grand cathedral in quite some itme, but those of Sweetwater practice in a similar manner." he draws a breath. "The merchant...Harkonsen, is here as well is he not? I recall him saying that the city planned to expand it's desalinization plants. Have any of his creators worked on the plant? Or installed new technology?" he inquires, walking with the priest. Cardinals not available? Even for 1 million crowns in aid? That doesn't bode well.
Thelergramor keeps watching the fennec as the small fox makes his rounds. Yawns. Diligence! His thoughts that this is still the work of cultists hasn't changed. The basilisk rubs at his mask; glances about the medical tent before again staring right at the fennec.
Angus takes the jerky, eyeing it and giving it a sniff before he takes a small bite of the jerky. "We may have to take you up on that." He states calmly as he pockets the rest of the jerky, tail flicking as he watches the chipmunk.
Rokarion nods, that is to be expected really from someone selling food. Rokarion stares at the fennec for a moment, before speaking again in his usual calm and polite, "Very well Miss, I will stop intruding further about your trade secrets. However, since you are a native here, May I ask if you would know any popular alchemist shops? Maybe a renowned apothecary or a well known herablist shop around here? I find myself in need of good advice in matter of herbs and their brewing." Some almost unnoticable movements appear under Rokarion's heavy cloak, and soon after a hand slips from the heavy cloth, and throws what looks like 5 crowns on the tray of the squirrel, a half-months pay for the average being what good fortune. Rokarion then quickly adds, "And I would very much prefer if you told me about those alchemists with the most knowledge and ingredients in their care."
Not much more going on in the clinic for the time being, more beings coming in, Fay comes in, drops the lizard off and heads back out. Soon though the coyote comes out, "Three more... I can't believe it." he says, shaking his head. "I'm going to go for lunch, and I'll be back in a few hours." He says, some other going into the back to get the bodies. The bodies look... peaceful, whole even.
"I'm sorry good Siyu, but I can't really comment there either. Though perhaps new machines? I would doubt this, probably only fixing up the older ones." He says, "And yes, currently very very busy, and it is good that you continue to hear their words. Is there anything else we can do for you?" He asks, "With these mathmagical strips, we will be able to find people getting ill much more quickly, thank you." He continues
Looking down at the crown, the chipmonk bites one of them before continuing, "Well, the best place would be the clinic really, set up by the Church of the Creators to help us through this. Otherwise, well, just look around, there are herbs, spices, quite the open market here. I'm sure you could find what you are looking for if you look for the right stall." She says. A look to Angus, "If you are hungry, I could show you a wonderful stew being made and served today!" She offers.
Siyu draws a breath, "I am...very interested in which machines the creators have worked with. They are helping the plant expand in Sweetwater too. Is it possible to get permission to go down and examin where the water comes from those machines?" he asks, "To see the end result of their science?" He walks up towards the church with the priestm annointing himself and he will wait through the mass at least. Attempting to get permission to test one theory.
Thelergramor blinks. More dead? Something about that doesn't add up. Looking over to the coyote, he speaks: "Three more? Thought that with good care mortality was about fourty percent. How many sick are back there?" Having spoke, and likely drawing some notice to himself, the basilisk puts his hands in his pockets; his masked gaze flicking between the 'yote and fennec.
Angus gives the Chipmunk a nod as he leans down to allow Mister to hop back up on his shoulders. "I wouldn't mind getting somethign to eat, but if my friend here wants to go looking at the Clinic that's perfectly fine by me." He states, waving his hand a bit as he looks to Rokarion. "Shall we head to the clinic?"
Rokarion looks at the chipmunk, well that was a bit helpful, before looking back at Angus. Thinking for a moment he answers, "But didn't we mention in the briefing that the people of Shralesta do not know the reason of the plague? I do not think that the clinic would know of the infection or poison source and not spread the news as swiftly as possible, or at least spread it into all major organizations. How about we take one final round in the market? But this time let us focus on alchemists, and those who sell herbs and other alcehmical ingredients rather than looking for tea providers. If you wish I could do that while you grab a bite, and then go to the clinic if we find nothing."
Thelergramor's outbirst gets more looks over to him, "Peace, please, one more like that and we'll have to ask you to leave." Says the coyote before heading out. The fennec however is a bit more accomidating, "The most ill are taken back there to either... try to recieve more powerful medicines, or... recieve their last rites." He says, "Two in five do die if they get proper care, this is true, four in five if they don't is about what we are seeing." He says, a low bow of his head as he thinks this over, "This is truely horrible, any help you may have to give would be creator sent indeed." He finishes
A shake of the head, "I'm afraid I can't give you that permission myself, not at this time. We have to be careful about who travels where at a time like this, you understand of course." He says, "Though if you are thinking what I think you are thinking, it would be hard to get into such a place with a poison. I'm sure that they would be noticed adding something to our waters." He says.
With a smile, the chipmonk takes the crowns and pockets them before continuing on her way, to find more customers to try out some samples from The Watering Hole, and to see if she can drum up some additional customers, "Come over and try the latest jerky, smoked and seasoned here in our own lands, as well as other wonderful delights from the most prosperous tavern in town!" She calls out.
Siyu clears his throat to the priest. "Can I at least..." he gives a faint sigh, "I think I have found a way to test for it. It's just a beginging test, not one I am sure how it works, butit does produce a reaction it does in fact actually give an indication with this particular poison...if I could get a sample of water, I do not have to go myself though I would like it. Directly from the desalinaztion machines it would at least put that hteory to rest..." he mummers.
Thelergramor shrugs. "I can try to help. Just tell me what you want me to do." Might as well try to be useful. Even if they are old one cultists. Be easier to avoid being thrown out and/or find any malpractice this way...
Angus takes a moment to think as he looks to the chipmunk, before he makes up his mind. Grabbing Rokarion by the shoulder he walks over to the Chipmunk and taps them. "Excuse me, but what exactly is the easiest way to get to 'The Watering Hole'" He asks, making up his mind on what lead they should check first as Mister keeps his gaze on the crowd.
Rokarion:raises a petalled eyebrow at the fox grabbing his cloak hidden shoulder, but otherwise does not resist being led. Rokarion listens to Angus, before adding, "That was one of the reasons why I suggested splitting up. You could grab something to eat, and maybe listen to some of the rumours in the tavern, while I can search the market, but if you want us to both go to the tavern, then I do not object." Rokarion says, his polite tone unchanged, who knows maybe the fox has sensed something or pciked up on smething Rokarions has missed.
The fennec shakes his head, "I'm not sure how you could help beyond what I do. Wash off the sick, injured, give them their food and water." He says, walking over to a cart he was using to do his rounds. "If you wish to help in that, it would not be hard." He says.
The raven nods his head, "Alright, come along." He says, leading Siyu off toward the back of the church, where there is some working plumbing. With a wave of a hand over a rune, water beings to pour out into a bason, "Test it however you wish good master Siyu, however you wish. But if you'll excuse me, I must prepare for noon day." He says, taking his leave. Indeed, in the main chamber beings are beinging to gather more and more.
The chipmonk looks over to Angus, "Why, it is right at the end of the market place, can't miss it, about the 4th tallest building in the square. I'll lead you right to it if you like." She says, heading deeper into the city.
Siyu looks over and blinks a small bit, flowing water, in shrlestra. Well it is the church. "All right thank you..." he says as he settles down to do his work. He hopes this water is direct enogh from the creator device that it would show up. He opens up his case and begins his testing. Using all the reagents they used before, saving the silver for last...but use it last he will.
Thelergramor nods at the fennec. "I didn't get your name? I'm Imenez." Alias given, the basilisk walks over to the cart; gets the washing stuff and begins to do as the fox has been. That is, cleaning off these poor, bed ridden bastards.
Angus gives the Chipmunk a nod, turning to head towards the Inn. Before he stops in his tracks and crinkles up his nose as it starts to itch....odd, but he was expecting something to happen. "...Don't eat anything we get at the Inn." He states to Rokarion, scratching at his nose slowly as he picks up the pace once more.
Rokarion nods his head, and says in his nuetral tone, "I completely understand Sir Angus, and I have been planning on avoiding the food and drink here for the time being. Now if only you listened to your own advice." With that Rokarion kept quiet and followed the fox closely, his jasmine scent wafting around the two.
The fennec looks over to Thelergramor and gives a nod, "Ilihru." He says, keeping to his work, "And thanks." he says, "We got just about everyone here, but I'm not sure if we should let people into the back or not." He says, looking over, "The doctor is gone for lunch, and most of us are just his aids, so... perhaps, no you have cause too much trouble already." He says, taking some of his supplies toward the back rooms.
Siyu' s tests don't give him much, the water neither turning foul smelling nor looking different in the slightest. There is quite a commotion though starting up outside though as more and more come in. Another being walks in on the little rat, a salamander, "What are you doing here?" She asks!
Within the walls of The Watering Hole is quite a sight, very similar to Freeswords Inn, but with a bit more bustle! It is sectioned off, part of it strictly for dining, another that is a tavern proper, and the last the lower floor beds. There are even more rooms up stairs! This place must get quite a bit of business. As Angus and Rokarion enter, four other beings are heading out, "For the Noon Day, right boss?" Asks one, the barkeeper of the tavern portion saying, "Right! And tell those louts that went out there with only half the order they better get it right or they'll be attending Noon Day in hopes of finding another job!"
Siyu hmmms a little bit, and he is in the process of cleaning up after negative testing. He looks up at the Salamnder, "I was testing the water quality from the desalinaztion plant." he offers a smile. "So far it's looking very good." he makes sure his case is closed. "The priest let me in father..." he considers, "you know come to think of it he did not gave his name. A raven, he is going to do noonday mass outside." he motions and gets up from his knees. "I am Gang Xi Siyu, on a reliefe mission here with the Hands of Dawn." he bows his head politely. Well so far he's not expecting anything wrong.
Thelergramor scratches his neck in between tending the patients. "Yeah, sorry about that. Good to be cautious and all that. Still, I speak without thinking often." Polite tone trying to hide his distrust. And as Ilihru starts moving towards the back rooms, Thelergramor watches him closely. Tries to stay near him without being noticed.
Angus steps into the Inn as he looks around, ears flicking back and forth as he listens in on the conversation. "....Noon day? Intresting." He states as he looks to Rokarion and the beings heading out. "Shall one of us head to Noon day?"
Thelergramor is stopped at the dividing curtains, "Now, where are we going there?" asks a cactus. Seems that he is not welcome to follow the fennec within! "And don't be skulking around now, I'm here to watch this door, make sure no one disturbs the patents within." She says.
he salamander looks Siyu over funny, "A raven doing noon day? Bishop Reginald is holding noon day today. I've never heard of a raven in our church. Now, who are you and what you doing with that water! Siyu? He is in Sweetwater." She says, eyeing the rodent!
Roka is quickly swept up in the crowd, taking, Angus easily loosing sight of him in the masses!
Siyu blinks a little bit, "Wait, hold on, the priest, that JUST left here? He is not outside?" he asks suddenly and his eyes narrow. "There is NO Raven dressed in a priest's robes outside?" he asks and he moves towards the door. "Is the Cardinal in? He was insistant I could not see the Cardinal. I bring a ship full of aid, and 1 million crowns to offer the cause of fighting the fever. He brushed that all off and only took my detecting strips." he sniffs a bit, "I am Gang Xi Siyu, and yes I have returned from Sweetwater, we just pulled in today."
Thelergramor blinks at the cactus. "Hmm? What was that? Patients. Ah, right. Plague. I'm a doctor. Thus the mask. A distrustful doctor, as you probably noticed. So, hiding something? Or are you just unwilling to let the medical prodigy that is Imenez of Thera'Dor help your patients?" He crosses his arms. "I assure you, I'm the best doctor in here."
Angus narrows his eyes as Rokarion quickly disappears into the crowded Inn, sighing a bit as he reaches up to scratch at Mister's ears. "Guess it's just you and me." He states as he turns and moves to follow the beings heading towards Noon day. Thinking he may know what is going on.
Sylera looks up at the doctors as she rolls the small jar in her hand. "That's just it, we haven't been able to conduct any tests in the city yet. Hence my questions into whether any had been hit hard." The betta taps her chin. "Perhaps the best place to start would be where you get your water from for the patients."
Sylera's questions continue to get fielded, this time by the secratary though, "Where we get the water? Why from the city's water supply. Usually we have teas and juices brought over from The Watering Hole, we couldn't keep up with the need for such without them." She says. Thele gets an eyeful from the cactus, "If you are such a renown doctor, why exactly are you skulking around a clinic instead of jumping to help at first? And if you are the doctor, why is she asking all the questions?" Not thrown out, that was a good start.
Siyu gets looked at some more, "No, there is no raven in priests robes outside, and the mass is about to start, now, I need to get to work getting things ready, so if you'll excuse me." She says, getting a bason to fill with water, "And if you are master Siyu, then welcome back, but whatever would you be doing back here of all places?" She asks
Noon Day Mass, and Angus is kept outside as the four walk in. Seems that the church, at least this section of it, was only for natives here. And they were flocking in by the dozens for the cerimonies!
Siyu draws a deep breath, "That is worrying then. If you do not know a raven priest who was going to do mass today then an imposter priest is here. Dressed in the sacred vestments, and he knows I am here with supplies, aid and magic to try and assist this fever. I was sampling the water as I said. Now PLEASE. Is the Cardinal here or not. when I say I am here to help I bring a dozen highly skilled in the sacred healing arts from Sweetwater. I bring all that I have to offer the people of my homeland. I have been tricked once today apparantly, and I fear time may be of the essence.
Thelergramor scoffs at the cactus. "Because I can already tell there is little I can do for those out here. Might be able to help those back there. And of course she has to ask. Not a prodgious doctor like myself. So are you going to let me through or not? Every second you delay me is another second someone suffers." He taps his foot on the floor, arms crossed over his chest.
Angus looks the guards up and down, his eyes narrowing as he takes a step back. "Cute." He states before he turns his gaze on the Long-nosed one Snake. "Listen you Belly dragging bastard, get out of my way before I give you a real use for that pike." He adjusts his stance a bit, giving Mister a tap to make sure the Golem is ready as he whispers something to the golem.
"I meant from a particular well or somesuch..." Sylera glances towards Thel but doesn't say anything in regards to the conversation he's having before turning back to the secretary. "And perhaps could you allow me first shot at the next shipment from The Watering Hole? I know not how well it will work on things besides water. Least those would be good starts." The betta can only hope that the main supply wasn't tainted but it was certainly looking that way from the description.
Looking over to Thele a moment, then over to Sylera, "You can go in, if, she follows you, and Francs keeps an eye on you. Don't cause trouble, last thing we'd need is someone of fame from Thera'dor causing issues in the middle of a crisis." The cactus says. The secritary looks to Sylera herself, "Well that would be just before time to serve dinner. They have been very very gracious in donating food to us for this effort. They are likely to get a commendation for all their work." She says, "But I think your friend needs looking after." She says, pointing toward the door toward the back.
Siyu gets a remorseful look from the salamander, "I'm sorry, but he is actually in confrence with a national from Cliffside at the moment, about this very plague. I doubt he'd want to be distrubed, but if you have supplies and such, and there is someone posing as a priest, we need to look into both as soon as we can. Look, things are already a bit on edge, it took a good deal to keep everyone going about their lives here while all this is going on. We should be thankful it hasn't hit more people than it has. We could be decimated. Now, a raven, not too many ravens around I know of, shouldn't be too hard to find." She says.
The snake looks over to Angus as he is called out. The other two move to take over for him as he walks over, "Excussse me, but I thhink I musst have misssss heard you. Care to repeat thhhat?" He asks looking down at the foreign fox!
Siyu draws a deep breath and he nods to the Salamander, "I thank you for telling me. I know you are preparing for mass. Please then, I need to speak with someone with some authroity. We need permission to unload supplies, and help the people here. I do not wish to create an incident. We are here to help and I would like permission. I have magical items that can detect the fever in people, if they are too hot, I cna start distrubintg them. I have herbs, I have potions, I have skilled medics. I need to find someone I can talk to and get permission to do what I have to do."
Thelergramor drops his arms back to his pockets. "Thank you." Then looks back to Sylera and for whoever Francs is. Then heads tries to find where the fennec went; his sole intention to keep an eye on him once more. And now to somehow look like a professional doctor...
Angus flashes the snake a grin. "My apologize, I forgot you ugly bastards had no ears. But never the less good day. Now Mister" He states, tipping his hat to him with a grin as the little golem on his shoulders lifts his tail, and releases a cloud of smoke to obscure everyones visions as the fox moves to try and sneak in!
Rokarion continues searching around the inn for his lost comrade, not sure how they got seperated in the first place. Deciding to cut the chase he goes towards the bar keep and asks, "Hail, do excuse me good sir, but have you seen a fox with a /certain/ hat, and a special ring on his hand? I am sure he was here today." Rokarion quickly follows his inquiry with 5 crowns, not willing to be delayed any further.
Sylera takes another look over and sighs. "Sometimes I wonder..." Briefly turning back to the secretary she continues. "Very well but before you serve the next shipment please let me examine it and then the nearest well or water just drawn from it." The betta tucks the jar into a pouch before rising, picking up her pack, and heading over to Thel. "And just what is going on over here?"
The curtain drawn and the cactus shouts in, "Frances! Frances Yahun Ilihru, a pair of doctors from the Sweetwater ship coming in." Within... it makes the outside look like a spa. Weak coughing, growning, beings who look as if they can barely keep their heads up right. The tent was large, but there are a hundred or more back here, "Yea Ilshia, and what did I say about using... you... just keep out of the way, these beings are very sick." He says. Sylera gets a nod, "Of course you can look them over." She says, just as the coyote doctor comes back in.
A nod to Siyu as the salamander gets ready to go, "Of course, we can arrange that with the make shift clinic just outside the square." Then, some screems, lots of them! She drops the bason! "What is that!? What is going on?" She asks, moving back outside the door!
Angus' smoke screen is quite the distraction, screams, shoutting, yelling... then the sound of someone shooting a Creator Scorcher! "Seal the building! No one in, no one out! Angus could get inside just before the gate comes down! The solder making his way out of the smoke, "A fox! It was a fox from that Sweetwater ship!"
Meanwhile, Rokarion is quite successful in learning where Angus had gone, "Yeah, saw him heading toward Noon Day, going the wrong way for you foreigners though, was heading toward the Grand Cathedral."
Siyu blinks a bit, "Creator's name what is going on out there!" he looks at the Salamander, "Quick, to aid, it might be that imposter!" he pushes out as fast as he can, hoping to quickly find the one responsible, and to try and offer aid and assistance to the injured.
Thelergramor shrugs, decides to try to help the sick somehow. "I won't get in the way." Does... medical things. At least, that's how he'd describe it later. The basilisk just kind of squints at the sick and dying, occasionally putting a hand on the head or prodding medically at them somewhere. Tries to figure out what to do to look like he's helping. Possibly actually helping in the process. Looks for some medical supplies to screw around with.
He had made it now, now all he had to do was remain invisible until he had found what he was looking for. Angus pulls the brim of his hat down, watching everyone as he slowly makes his way through the crowd. He stops a few times when he thinks anyone is watching, keeping to the thick of the crowd within the cathedral as he hunts.
Rokarion thanks the barkeep as he quickly departs outside of the inn, the Grand Cathedral, yes he did see it on the way here it is maybe that building that he sketched earlier too. Rokarion moves as swiftly possible towards the large building, stopping to take a couple of glances on any alchemical ingredients stall he finds a long the way. Soon enough, Rokarion is standing in front of the Cathedral watching the general panic happening around him, not sure what's the reason behind the situation, he walks up to the nearest guard, and asks in his usual polite tone, "Excuse me sir, may I ask what's the reason for all this panicking about? I could probably help if needed."
"That much is in evidence..." Sylera says dryly as she and Thel are allowed into the back. "Stay near me Thelergramor, elsewise my patron's gift cannot help you." She says prodding his arm. Turning away, and not having to watch the wolf's pantomiming, and turning towards Frances. "Greetings. We've come to render what aid we can though... Admittedly I have little experience with the later stages of this disease aside from reports." She inclines her head towards the being though her eyes are on the victims, observing their ailments directly.
Thele's poking and prodding gets him looked at, meanwhile Sylera can easily see the signs, This is the same things, Red Fever. Everyone here is nearing death from it. Thele just happens to poke someone... and they start a very violent fit of coughing! That is when the coyote comes in, "What in the name of the creators are you doing in here! Oh no! Frances, get the herbs, we... we need to make him comfortable." he says, reaching over to the dying horned toad, "Quickly now." He says.
Back at the church, Twirligigs and oiled crushers are braught up from the floors below. Inside a well adorned and robed figure comes down from the stairs below, "Peace! Calm! Everyone! Take a seat, and this will soon be sorted. You are safe within these walls." With those words many calm quickly within the church, getting back to their seats.
Outside however... "YOU! You are from that ship as well. I want the full manafest and I want it now." Looking over as another coyote, in full uniform runs over, "What happened Liutenant!" She asks, "Colonel, it happened quickly. Some fox from Sweetwater stormed the cathidril." At that moment a raven stands in priests garments, "The Plague! The Red Fever! He must plan on infesting all those at Noon Day!" More panic outside, more screaming! Eyes go to Rokarion!
Siyu has his bag of medicine and he looks around the church, "Who's assualting the main cathedral? Who would dare?" he glances back at the Salamander, "Quick, cna you give me a name of someone in the Medical tent I can speak to. I will try to get there as best I can and talk to those in charge and offer my help." he nods as he begins to head over towards the enterance, shaking his head. "HAve things gotten so bad people are trying to assualt the priesthood?" he asks. The rodent just thinking he can leave, thoug hhe's announced he's the leader of the expedition from Sweetwater before. He heads over to the doors.
Thelergramor blinks at the coughing being. "Hang on, hold off on the herbs. He might be fine. Just hold him so he doesn't thrash too much!" Thel tries to hold him, gently but firmly. "Relax, I'm a doctor! Get something to knock him out! Not enough to kill him! He'll pull through!" The basilisk has no idea if the guy will be fine or not. All just a ruse to look professional. Who knows? He might be right...
Angus frowns, not even bothering to hide this time as he goes for a bold statment. Walking to the middle of the Cathedral he slams his staff of living wood against the ground and raises his voice loud. "You are not safe within these hllowed halls!" He shouts for all to hear. "I am a caller for the spirit Ser'ther, and I come before you to Accuse workers of the Watering hole Inn of willing spreading the Red fever plague within your very Church!"
Rokarion raises a petalled eyebrow at the sudden outbrust of the guard, before the raven joining in, and stocking the flames of panic. Rokarion gives the raven a scrutinous look, noticing something off him, before looking back at the guards who are expecting him to answer. Rokarion looks back at the guards with his serene face, and answers in his polite tone, seemingly unaffected by the whole ordeal, "Well, I would suggest before going around barking orders at people who are offering help. You should first try and stop our dubious priest over there who is attempting to increase the panic it seems. You would notice that his regalia of the Creators give honour to no one, and it strikes me as odd that one of the Priests would be out here, and spewing such fruitless accusations on someone he has not met, instead of attempting to help and calm down the people. I assure you that our goal is mutual. All of us are looking to stop the plague, but an unruly mob won't help anyone in this situation."
Everywhere Sylera looks is death. Yet as the horned toad begins to cough and the wolf reacts she gently tries to pull Thel away. "That is... Enough out of you I think." Sighing she unlimbers her staff of willow from its loop upon her pack and gestures at those who are bringing the herbs. "Stay a moment, I wish to see if the water's blessing might be of help." Stretching out her staff the betta touches the tip of it to the horned toad's arm, and after a moments consideration, attempts to have as many of the sick beings in contact with the staff as possible while ensuring the original target was still touching it. "Ser'ther, serpent that winds through the lands, I ask to bestow your grace to aid these beings in their suffering. Please help cleanse this plague," She pauses. "and aid us in finding the source." Nothing ventured nothing gained no?
Within the tent it seems that more and more death is about, but, for the horned toad things seem to get a moments better. Still coughing, still on the edge, balancing between life and death. The coyote stops the fennec in his tracks! "Quick, get some plain water instead." And she looks over to Sylera, "Can you do that for everyone here? They might just stand a chance." She says, "And you said you brought supplies and others? We don't have a moment to spare! Bring them here." She says!
Inside the church everything was going well... until someone shouted something far worse than 'fire.' It is a fox, standing at the podium, shouting out to the crowds. There is murmor, there is whisper, but up walks a jackle, "Peace! Everyone remain calm. Rising out of your seats and running about will aid in nothing." He looks back and glares at Angus, "I trust you have proof of this accusation you are making against one of the most beneficial businesses since this all started?" He asks. Siyu's question is easily answered, "The is the head doctor, Patricha Trinaus Jini. Or you could speak to Frances, her assistant. But right now no one is getting out of here until whatever is going on is handled." Says the salamander to him.
Outside things are boardering on hystaria. Two guards are able to get hold of the raven, and even more are coming out from guard houses and churches alike. Mathmagic used to amplify their voices, "Remain calm, the situation is being handled. Return to your homes, businesses, and churches." It is taking a goodly bit of time, but things are settling. However, rough hands attempt to fall upong Rokarion's shoulders, "You however, you will be coming with us to figure out what your friend is up to inside there."
Siyu stops when he hears Angus...that is Angus isn't it? Lord Solacious, in the middle of the Grand Cathedral, draped in smoke and declaring...declaring the Fever is poison. Oh no. No no no. No this cannot be happening. No no no. He quick glances, that is the Bishop doing the mass. He probably heard everything. He goes a bit pale, looking back to the priest, "yes yes, thank you, thank you." rapidly trying to make his way up to Angus. At the podium in the main cathedral. He's going to be speaking at the head of the congragation at this rate. Not in the way he would wish. He draws a breath and tries to gte up to the front, close enough to talk to Angus in whispered words, "Lord Angus. You're going to incite a riot, what are you talking about." he hisses in a whisper.
Thelergramor lets Sylera do her thing; no point resisting being tugged back by someone who might actually know what they're doing. A bit torn between going to find more supplies and following the fennec as ordered... The basilisk curses under his breath. "Shit..." Follows after Frances to carry back more water.
Angus turns, giving the high priest a nod. "Yes, I do have proof." He states as he pulls a piece of the jerky out of his pocket. "I had tasted this myself, and had felt it's effects shortly after. Siyu is able to test for the plague." He nods as he offers it to Siyu when he sees them. "And I bet if you search the employees of the Inn they will have meats and other things with the plague."
Rokarion looks back at the guard, solving a few mental equations as quickly as he cans. A soft breeze emanates from around him, gently pushing away any object attempting to collide with his body. Rokarion focuses on the Colonel, and answers, polite as ever, "Very well Colonel, I have no qualm against coming with you. However, I would appreciate if I did not get treated like a criminal. Not only it is common decency, but also it would be easier for us to work together that way." With that Rokarion follows the guards. Great caught due to a Sweetwater noble what a blast.
Sylera leans back and sighs, looking about the tent. "I... Am not certain. While it is Ser'ther's power channeling does take it out of his callers." She rubs her forehead with the palm of her hands. "In order to treat so... Many I'd require lunar crystals in order to do it more than a few times in a day and even that would probably barely stem the tide. There is another caller that came with us but I know not where he is at the moment." The betta looks up at the coyote. "As much as I would like to do that however needs be we need to start looking into the source and cause of the plague. Ensure that more plague isn't introduced neither to those afflicted and those who are not yet stricken." She takes the jar of silver out of its pouch. "I have a means, admittedly not widely tested, of testing water and possibly other liquids for the taint of plague. I need to test different wells, places where food and drink is prepared..." Ticking things off as she thinks of them.
The coyote looks to Sylera, "Yes of course, I'll go arrange for your ship to be unloaded and its hold to be brought over here. Most of our food comes from the Watering Hole, it is a great bar and inn, I doubt that they would be directly responsible for any of this." She says, "Thank you again, please, do what you can, and bring this other here too." She says, heading out in a rush! Thele is able to keep up with the fennec, though all he is doing is grabbing buckets of water and bringing them back into the back room.
Within the church, the jackle looks over to Siyu, "I remember you, I was here when you came to your first Noon Day, welcome home Master Siyu, now, what is this of tests for the plague?" He asks.
Outside order is being slowly restored yet more, the leutinant drawing a blade when he comes in contact with Roka's math, but the colonel shaking her head, "Put it away liutenant, now, open the gates and let's get this all sorted out." She says. The gates once more slowly rise up.
Siyu flattens his ears, "Lord Angus, You are in the middle of Noonday Mass...in the great cathedral, and there is an agitator, an agent now I am sure of it. Please do not incite a panic, we hav to keep this quiet or the peasents may revolt I..." he suqeeks loudly. "I don't know if the test even works on...meat. Lord Angus PLEASE." the rodent looks to be in a near panic himself. He draws a deep breath, "You must have goten our missive from Sweetwater. We had an attempt to poison within the domain, and the symptons matched, exactly, to that of the fever. We determined the source of the poison, a water soulable compound, specifically placed in the tea. I have a...a very crude, just discovered test. Alchemy, which is know to react to the poison." he mummers. "Silver Tetride..." he opens his case and pulls out the reagent.
Thelergramor grabs some buckets too. "Right, let's bring these back to the sick, yeah?" Waits for Frances to move; wants to stay behind him, keep an eye on the little guy incase he tries to add any poison to the buckets.
Angus gives Siyu a smile. "I am not here to start a panic, I only stepped in and took action because many lives where in danger." He commnets as he offers the meat to Siyu. "You are also resourceful, and I know you can easily find out that this meat is tainted with the same poison if you put your mind to it." He states before turning back to the Jackal with a smile. "I do apologize for this by the way."
Rokarion remains standing there at the hostile action of the guard, seemingly unfazed if his calm countenance is any indication. As the gates open, Rokarion simple follows where the guards lead him, havning nothing else to add at the moment.
Sylera nods absentmindedly regarding unloading her supplies, then frowns. "Oh I do hope it isn't from them... Though I've already requested to those outside to let me test the next batch of supplies." The betta looks over to Thel. "Can you... See about finding the Lord? I'll need his assistance with this." That said Sylera takes one of the buckets of water as they come and sets about testing it for signs of the plague, touching the other buckets with her staff just in case to ensure they're pure.
Within the tent, the buckets are purified, and water given out. It is a long long time, but with the help of Angus, Siyu's supplies, and Sylera, the plague is easily brought under control. Taking from Siyu the box of reagents, testing the food stuffs, it was discovered there was a plot to poison the whole of Noon Day Mass. Saved in time, and an investigation of The Watering Hole. It will be a while still, but this catastraphy that could have turned to armagedan averted.
Angus... however, was not entirely fortunate. Brought in for inciting a riot, assault of a guard, distrubance of Mass. His sentance however, reduced to two days confinement due to the curcermstances, potentally less if well negotiated.
