At the back of the inn, Mirana sits and sips on some apple juice. She didn't much like the taste, but, something is telling her not to have any harder drinks. She sits and tries to think on what Arimia was talking to her earlier that day, but this wonderful, almost palitable joy kept pushing thought away. She giggles slightly and sips again, but waves over a wench, asking for a plate of pickled vegitables.
Angus wanders into the Inn once again and takes a seat with a grumble as he ordered some water. His head was still pounding and he winced when the bartender placed his mug on the table. "Why did I have to drink that much." He grumbles to himself, his tails twitching in agitation behind him as he leaned on the bar.
Selena pulls herself from the stairs of the inn with a stretch, arriving on the main floor. A quick glance around the room, Selena finds herself drawn to the pair of nobles. "Hello Angus, Mirana." She greets, ordering a cider and setting herself down next to Mirana. "Mirana. I think your brother over there and you should have a talk." the wolfess comments a little sternly. "He's going to be worried if he sees you all delirious with no explanation why."
Mirana drinks on her juice and wonders if she could get something that tastes better. Bite had some fruit juice the other day that was very nice, but she didn't know the name. When Angus walks in her joy soars at the idea of being around family, and the apperance of Selena saying they should have a talk is more encouragement then she needs. She picks up her juice and veggie plate to sit next to her brother, waving Selena to chase her too. "Hello little brother! How are you?" Looking him over, she knew exactly what was wrong, no one from her house wouldn't know that look. "A little too much? You know, I think I'll sware off the drink for a little while anyway. Well, other then the hangover, how is your day?" And she gives him a hug, waving to Selena to join in the marry making.
Angus was starting to feel a little better thanks to the water and barely flinches when Mirana yells. "Hello sister I'm doing well." Turning to her he makes a face. "I swear I am never going to drink that much again. Anyway how have you been? You left so fast yesterday I didn't even have the chance to sa-" He stops in midsentence when she hugs him, a little caught off guard, but then he chuckles and returns the hug. "Your in a cheery mood today."
Selena flicks an ear back for a moment, 'persuing' the vixen, passing Angus a small vial of liquid. "That should at least help with the headache." She comments, and glances over the noble's plate skeptically. "If you don't start talking to your brother about what happened, I will tell him exactly what I think went down." The wolfess comments, taking a drink from her cider.
Mirana pats on Angus a moment before breaking the hug. "That might be a good idea Angus, just drink less, or no more at all. Isn't it a wonderful day though, what other reason do I need to really be cheery?" She asks, however, the fact that it had started raining doesn't support her statement. When Selena says she will venture a guess and concerned that her guess would be worse then the truth she just nods, "Ok.. Ok, I'm getting to it Selena... don't rush," she says with a giggle. She looks over to Angus and whispers, not wanting anyone to hear.
Angus glances at Selena in confusion as the hug is broken. "Exactly what went down?" Turning back to Mirana his concern for her rises, but he didn't want her to see that as she probably had enough on her plate already. Picking back up his water he sips from the mug as she leans in to whisper to him. His eyes grow wide and he actually starts choking on his drink. "You.w-what?" Was his hurried reply once he can finally breath again, before his look turns concerned once more. "Are you saying what I think your saying..."
Selena murmers something under her breath, shaking her head a little disapprovingly. "You, Mirana, are too hapy today." She responds. "So I'm assuming my guess that she had a 'fun time' with Yuric wasn't far off?" The wolfess comments a little bluntly, quirking a brow at Angus's reaction. "Mirana, how are you going to explain that to your house? Your parents? Did you at least think that through?"
Mirana looks very concerned and actually pats on Angus' back for a while, "You ok little brother? Umm... I know it.. must be shocking, but, really.. um... and.." and she looks to Selena and then back to Angus with a nod to both, blushing deeply. She sits down and takes a bite of her heated pickled veggies, taking time to enjoy the cabbage more then the rest. Then she chooses to answer Selena, "Yes, I thought of my parents and of my house. I also thought of myself. I think... no, I love Yuric and we can work out anything that comes our way. No one who makes me feel so... welcome and warm, could ever not help work any obsticle out of our way." She says, "And as for explaining, well, I'll explain the same time and the same way I explain my feelings on even being a noble." she says, "And do you know what what that drink Miss Bite has been drinking was, regular juice is just too... bland."
Angus was already thinking about having a 'talk' with this Yuric as he squeezes the grip of his Rapier, but he stops just as he is about to get up. Hearing her confess her love for this Yuric he sighs and calms down a little before he sits himself back down. "...are you sure you want to do this Mirana?" Turning back to his sister all thoughts of his hangover are gone, what they were talking about was more serious then a little hangover anyway.
Selena shakes her head. "You're drinking it." SHe comments and sighs, her ears folding back after a brief hesitation. "I hope you're right about that, Mirana. Not everyone wants a relationship. Some people just want a quick romance." the wolfess comments, fidgeting slightly before continuing to drink her cider.
Mirana clears her throat a moment then looks over to Angus and Selena, "I love him, and he loves me. Of this I have no doubt. Why would he say the things he does to me if he didn't and why would he always be so willing to comfort?" She points to her tails, "I'll thank you to remember how blessed I am, and I'm sure that if Yuric had any alterior motives that I'd have picked up something from him. Now, as for how I'm going to deal with my parents and my house, there is plenty of time there to think, we can continue to have our little romance while I figure out a good way to introduce him to Father and Mother, more so a good way to do so with Father admittedly, and how to make sure nothing comes of our love other then our one day being Life Bonded. And if anyone has an objection to this, I'll be sure to listen to them, take to heart and consideration what they have to say, and weigh it against our love for each other, though, right now I can't think of a single thing that would be able to even level the scale, let alone tip it. Now, please, the name of that drink Selena, I'd rather something tasty then something so sweetly bland." she says in a long winded speech before turning to her plate and scooping up some more pickled cabbage.
Selena rolls her eyes at the fox's lengthy declaration. "And I hope you're right. Mirana, I just told you, you're drinking it." She comments, looking a little taken aback. "And sure, but I want to hear that from Yuric before I'll believe it." Selena comments, taking a large mouthful of her cider.
Angus continues to stare at her, rather amused by the way she was defending herself. Sighing he nods, hoping he isn't making a mistake, before he speaks. "I'll make you a deall Sister....I want to meet this..'Yuric' and find out for myself what kind of person he is..and if, IF I find that he isn't just using you....I'll help you and do whatever I can to make intoductions better." His ears folded back as he nodded, he did mean what he said, but he was still worried about his older sister.
Mirana folds her own ears back and drinks at the, to her, bland juice before handing it over to Angus, "Does this taste alright to you?" she says as she scoops up some more cabbage and chews thoughtfully for a moment. Then she looks over to Selena, with a smile, "You know, I've never said this to you before, but you look very nice. I think, if you wanted to, we could make it so ... your ... you know what, I'm going to shut my muzzle now, I have no clue what I was saying." And she turns and puts her head in her hand leaning against the bar a moment. Why was she feeling so giddy and far too happy? She shakes her head a moment, "And sure Angus, you can meet him, you to Selena. I'll take you both out to his cabin sometime."
Selena nods. "I appreciate the offer. And sorry, Mirana. You're going to finish that sentance for me; what would you be doing to, with or for me?" She asks, a brow quirked. "If you must, you could just whisper it across to me like you did with your little secret and your brother." She smirks.
Angus sips at the offered juice and nods. "It taste perfectly fine." Placing the juice back on the bar he leans over to her and gives her a hug, patting her on the back a little. "I would very much like that." When he sits back up he gives Selena a curious look. "Well she is right, you are pretty...but I think she was going to say something along the line of making you look beautiful for..Arimia." Leaning an elbow on the table he smiles, wondering if his fishing would pay off....or just get him slapped.
Mirana frowns and takes another drink, "No.. it is bland.." and she offers some to Selena. "Ok, I'll ask him and then bring everyone out to see him then." And when Selena demands her to finish her statement, and, Angus finishes it for her, she blushes, and just nods her head, "My brother is perceptive.. that is what I was about to have said." She eats another bite, she'd been so hungry of late and her least favorate foods seemed to taste the best, "Angus, could you taste this too? I always hated this kind of food, but I can't get enough of it lately."
Selena looks aside and swallows slightly. "Mirana, I don't think you know Ari as well as you think. She's not just after one and only one pretty lady that catches her eye." The wolfess sighs slightly, taking a moment to form her thoughts. "As much as I wish that was the case, it's not how things work." She finally murmers, finishing her cider, one of her hands reaching across to something in her bag, gazing a little wistfully at whatever it is for a moment before retracting her handwithout another word.
Angus gives the food a wary look, probably wondering how anyone could eat something like that, but nods. "Ya sure I'll give it a try." His gaze turns back to Selena as she speaks, and that look in her bag doesn't go unnoticed, and sighs. "Honestly...I am not a very big fan of Arimia, she doesn't like me and I'm fine with that. Yet I do respect her, even with her distaste for me she will watch my back through thick or thin in a confrontation...even if she doesn't trust me as far as she can throw me."
Mirana looks over to Selena and watches her reach in her bag, then pull her hand back out, and nods. "Well, even such, I'd like to see you two get as much time togeather as you both desire... and Yuric and I the same." she says dreamily. Then she looks over to Angus, "Well, does it taste any different then when we were kits to you? It tastes almost as good as sweet rolls to me for some reason." She says pointing to the warm pickled cabbage. There isn't much left on the plate. Then she looks over to Selena, "You know, I think Arimia was right, don't drink too much ok? And I think I'll quit too."
Selena stands from the table calmly. "It hinges on how much time she wants to spend with me. Don't patronise me like I don't already know, Mirana. There's a reason I haven't been getting myself drunk lately, and it's not because 'I haven't felt like it'." She replies evenly, almost too much so. "And Angus, I know you and Arimia don't get along. I'm not blind. Her reasons are her own." The wolfess turns and begins to pace for the door, ears flicked back and tail unusually still.
Angus tries to keep a straight face, even if he thought the food tasted worse then boiled leather. "No...it pretty much tastes the same." But Selena's clipped words and her harsh rebuttal makes him turn towards her, and stand up as she starts to leave. "Selena wait, I didn't mean that as an insult...I'm sorry."
Mirana whines softly as she flattens her ears back. Angus' answer about the food goes unresponded to. She gets up quickly and darts over to Selena, and she takes the wolf an another hug, "Don't leave upset Selena, I'm sorry, I'll keep my muzzle out of your business, don't be upset though." And she actually nuzzles against Selena softly. "I'm sorry..." When she came back down from this high she'd wonder why she did this, but right now, her mental state was bouncing off the walls. "Don't be upset." And she stops hugging and nuzzle for a moment. She swallows hard as her eyes get an odd look to them. "E.. excuse me.." she says and runs once more, this time up to her room holding her muzzle. Once up there, she doesn't come out till it is time for her to go out and train, per Kilsa's instructions.
Selena makes her response to Angus brief, since she's temporarily stopped by the elder sibling. "I know, Angus. You didn't have to announce it though." She replies, pulling herself out of Mirana's arms. "Pull yourself together, Mirana..." she shakes her head, a slight hint of derision in her tone. "I don't care if you have your muzzle stuck in my business, just watch what you say about it." the wolfess sighs, walking out of the inn for some undisclosed destination.
Angus blinks and watches both of them go, which leaves him with nothing but a plate of gross pickled cabbages and some drinks. "....okay then...take care, I guess I'll just pay the tab then." Sighing he turns around and opens his coinpurse. "So...how much do I owe you?"
