The prison is in complete lockdown. While the prison yard would usually have some of the less violent or less frightening prisoners roaming around or working, only patrolling guards sre to be seen today. The place is still noisy with the cries of prisoners jeering and fighting from behind closed doors. A small knot of guards are gathered around one particular cell door talking animatedly as the Freeswords are ushered in. A heavy bulldog with a tag on his shirt reading Warden is shouting at a rathere skinny looking collie in a guard's uniform.

A soft rumble sounds, announcing the arrival of a masked feline, clad in her usual, red-dyed leather outfit. Her tail sways gently behind her, and she carries herself with the class and sway one would expect of a being with the kind of money she must have to spend. Gaze traveling out over the area, the she-cat rumbles softly to herself, tapping the ground with the metal tip of her cane to garner some level of attention.

Entering the prison is a young-looking jasmine being. Rokarion is as usual clad in his usual dark gray, body-covering heavy cloak, hiding most of his form with its humble appearance contrasting sharply with the lavish double blossom that acts as his hair. The jasmine shakes his head once he is in the prison proper, it might have been a bite wiser to spend this day relaxing rather than jumping from an airship directly towards a prison, but he is here, gaze travelling across compound with a pleasant jasmine aroma wafting around the young plant.

Serana wanders in, mostly beause she had need of a bit of work, and helping the guards would be a good idea. However, upon walking in, the sitution was evident to her in that regard. She had spent enough time in one to know what happened the instant she saw the huddled group of guards. The shark, clad in a long leather and cotton cloak and similar pants, with a fine blouse tucked beneath would look the spitting image of a male sailor, with a bit more pistols then a sailor would be wont to carry, On her head was wavy shoulder length dark hair, tid back in a ponytail and topped by a small trihorn hat with holes cut in to fit her long ears. She didn't outright say hello to those gathered, but joining the other, what she could assume to be freeswords, she did incline her head by the kitty to show the shark greeted her.

In the cell closer to the entrance is a half asleep she-wolf, just this side of the ruckus. She stands leaning against the bars, watching the guards, occasionally flicking rolled up toilet paper at them, occasionally catcalling them. She seems rather bored.

"Mmmm," Shizuko comments, the older heavy-clan snow leopard taking in the sights of the prison. "I was not aware Sweetwater had such a serious problem," she comments quietly, to herself. She falls silent as she approaches the warden and the cluster of gaurds, her ears perked as she listens.

"Tell me again!" the bulldog roars at the cowering guard, "Tell me again how a prisoner on your sentry route can have VANISHED from his cell!"

"I-I don't know, Sir!" the young collie stammers," I opened the peep hole on one round and he was there. Then on my second round I opened it and he was gone!" The skinny young guardsman cringes in front of his superior as if afraid he will be hit. "Then I went and reported it!" he cries, "That was all! He was there one minute, then gone the next! Honest!"

The warden scowls at the young guard, then whirls on the door, opening the eye level peep hole with a snap and peering inside. He stare for a moment as if a solution might materialize before snapping the hole shut again. "We did not used to need the place," he growls at Shizuko's comment, "A lot of these prisoners are war criminals, profiteers and captured shadows unwilling to intigrate." He examines the gathered beings with small, piggy eyes. "You heard the boy," he says, shaking his jowels toward the collie, "What do you think?"

Another guard, a heavy clan Shiba Inu, rattles the bars on Lexy's cell. "Knock it off, thief!" he growls, "Or I'll do it for you!"

"Care to enlighten us on the description of the aledged escapee first?" the midnight-black furred feline rumbles deeply, watching each and every one of the beings in the crowd closely. Her tail sways lazily from side to side, and her ears flick momentarily. "Has the cell itself been opened to investigate?" she continues curiously, watching the guards for any reaction, obvious or otherwise.

Rokarion purses his lips, momentarily lost in thought about, then shaking his head and moving closer towards the cell. Rokarion gives the door a little knock with his gloved hands before looking back at the group and giving an idle shrug as he produces a slightly worn notebook and a Longtech pen (tm) from under his cloak, "Also a brief history of the prisoner could be helpful. Why was he here in the first place?"

Serana hum softly "I agree with the kitty. Let's open the door and see if he's even in there. I'd keep weapons trained on it, Pistols or muskets preferably, something that would disable on first hit. Should he attempt to break for it, he would find he has no escape with a wall of lead coming for him." the shark offers, messing with his tailfin a bit, his voice sounding much like a young irish sailor. "That way, he doesn't escape unless he already has."

Lexy presses herself up against the bars and lifts her blouse enough to show a hint of her, also blood red, lace bra to the Shiba. "Why don't you come in here and make me stop? I'll make it worth your while cutey." Her other hand teases up a bar as she says this. "Oh, and I heard a noise earlier too. Dunno where it came from though."

The snow leopard's flicks, and she chuckles. "It is an old trick," Shizuko points out. "Hide from the door, wait for them to open it, and make a run for it. I assume you have asked him to show himself?" she asks, head tilting. "And yes, if you go in to check, then go in force and with a group ready to catch him on the outside. Or, you could just stop putting food in the room. If he's already gone, he's gone. If he's just hidden, hunger will make him speak up."

"I'd rather that door stays closed, for now, the black-furred she-cat rumbles softly, glancing towards Serana. "If the door hasn't been opened, logic dictates he's still in there, waiting for the door to open, as our heavy-folk company suggests."

"No," the warden says, answering Katrina's question first, "This door has not been opened." He looks to the skinny collie for confirmation and the smaller canine nods. "The prisoner was a fox," he says, "Petty scam artist and thief. Some kind of magician too, so we kept him in one of our math proofed cells." He waves a hand at the earth magic runes scrawled over the walls and doors. "Only way in or out is through the door," he growls, "We were waiting for an expert on this kind of weird stuff, but no one can seem to find the guy. So we were just about to pop the door if no one has any better ideas?"

The Shiba growls and blushes under his fur. "Just keep it down!" he sneers before turning away.

A soft rumble from Katrina, before she nods firmly. "What particular kinds of tricks has the fox been up to? Anything in particular of note about their appearance or their methods?" the she-cat continues, watching the cell with a soft rumble, a flick of her tail behind her. "Right. You then. What'd you hear?" the she-cat continues as she watches Lexy's cell from a distance, her thoughs mostly focused upon the curiously empty cell.

Rokarion scratches his chin giving the cell door another knock, "So, tell me more about this cell. Can you cast mathemagic inside it or does it nullify all spells going inside or outside?" Rokarion asks idly, "I do have an idea but I would like to know more about how does this cell affect mathemagic."

Serana hums softly hands crossing over his chest "I think the only easy way to find out wether or not he is in there would be to go in. If he's in there he would make himself known easily and meet several guards all with weapons trained on him. Doors aren't called fatal-funnels for nothing." the shark offers with a soft huff.

Lexy blows a kiss at the Shiba, saying, "Your loss cutey." She lowers her shirt and looks to Katrina, "Heard a bit of scuffling from that direction. Get me out and maybe I can help?"

Shizuko perks her ear, and then looks over at Lexy. "A scuffle?" she asks, then looks over at the collie, before looking back to Lexy. "When?"

One of the other guards pipes up, a burly looking doberman. "The cell doesn't actually stop mathemagic," he explains, "It just contains it. You can't actually magic the walls or anything, and other math just kind of bounces off of it. It's a good bit of work, really. Had a whole bunch of nerds from the Academy make em after we started having to hold shadows and soulless and stuff." He seems to realize who he is talking to and his ears flatten, "Nothing against soulle- er, gifted of course."

The Warden seems disinterested in the testimony of an inmate. "She just wants out of her cell," he growls, "Ignore her." He looks to Katrina. "He has done it all. Charlatan healer, psychic, medium," he says, "Has a partner too. A crow with a penchant for playing dress up." The bulldog nods as Lucasiel arrives and turns to his men. "Well, let's crack her open, boys!" The Warden steps back to make room for his contingent of burly guards, while the unfortunate young collie does his best to stay out of the other guards' way.

"I didn't hear anything unusual," the collie says, stepping over to where the freeswords are gathered, "Might have been some other prisoners fighting though. I just ignore them." He waves at his scrawny build. "Not much I can do against most of the guys in here," he explains.

"Wasn't planning on letting 'er out just yet. She'd need to contribute something more than 'I heard a sound' ere I'd let someone out of their cell just like that. Her tail sways lightly, and her ears flick atop her head, watching the door intently... "I'd say he's still in there... Logic would dictate as much," the she-cat repeats with a shake of her head, watching the gathered beings curiously.

A bit late for the party, but better late than never, Lucasiel rattles her way up to the group at the prison, adjusting the weight of her axe on her shoulder. "Heard there were some troubles?" She asks, having caught word that it was a 'scam artist and magician.' "This the one I brought in a bit ago?" She follows along towards the cell, returning the warden's greeting. "Well. I have a hunch, then, what's going on. If you open it..." She tilts her helmet towards Katrina. "What she said. He's probably in there. Only open the door a little, form a half-circle around the cell, do not leave any gaps he might slip through."

Rokarion furrows his petalled eyebrows before stepping away from the door as the guards line up to go in, "A crow you say? Well in which case you must be extra careful as I am sure that its either him or his partner who are kistunes." Rokarion adds idly, "If it's him then he will probably wait until all of you barge in and use the commotion to turn into one of the guards." The jasmine rattles on, "If at all possible I could try casting something through the peep hole, that will surely get him to stop this trick if he is in there."

Serana removes two pistols from her holster leveling it at the door "Should he attempt to run, I'll put two in him. the shark couldn't hide the small smirk he wore, only hoping that their attention was focused on the door and not his face. She probably should shoot for the legs, but a part of her wanted to aim the second shot just a bit high. Perhaps in the gut or chest. Alot easier to hit and possibly fatal. He couldn't supress the light chuckle that originated from that thought but his eyes were on the door, not any guard opening it, and so were his sights. "Once you open the door, get out of the way." with Rokarion's statement, though, she tallied up the amount of guards there were, keeping that number in mind "That isn't to say he might have already done it."

Lexy looks over to Serana and says, "Hey hun, come let me out? I promise I can help." She pulls back from the bars a bit, to show she won't try anything.

Shizuko's ears flatten for a moment, and then she sighs and shakes her head. "Save the pistols for a last resort, please," she says. Then she looks back at the warden and nods towards the door. "Go on. Open the door, I'll lead the way in if your guards dare not, and Lucasiel and the others can catch him if he flees," she says, giving Lucasiel a small nod, although after she gives Rokarion a thoughtful look. "That is right... there were those kitsunes. If this is him, then it is even more suspicious."

The guards gather around in a semi circle facing the door with truncheons drawn. One guard takes a ring of keys from the scrawny collie and inserts the key in the lock. "Doors secure!" the warden bellows and an answering cry of "Secure!" comes from the front doors. The warden nods to the guard who turns the key and nudges the door open with a foot before stepping back. The door swings open on surprisingly quiet hinges, revealing an empty room. The bare stone walls are clean and drab and there seem to be no furnishings aside from a low cot in the far corner and a covered chamber pot. Everyone waits in silence for a moment, but nothing seems to happen.

A tailflick, a rumble, and Kat watches intently, her ears flicking all the while. Right now, her gaze is set firmly upon the room, watching all of the guards, as well as the cell, for any sudden motions... Something is slated to happen soon...

Lucasiel nods at Shizuko. "Check the corners nearest the door, along the walls. He can hide his appearance, but he can't hide his physical presence," she says, casting a sour look towards Serana, though it goes unnoticed behind the helmet. "No guns." She flips the axe around to rest the head on the floor and props it up against a wall, her hand sliping under her cloak to grasp for something else entirely.
