Tis a late night in the city, a curious time to be doing examinations, but the 'Doctor' is awake and ready, and the priests oblige her this. How can they not? They usher those who arrive into orderly file up to a small partitioned area where the Creator sits, waiting for the first volunteer.

Erika hums softly as she waits, looking around. She wanders over toward the 'Doctor', apparently deciding to volunteer, and looks for a seat she can climb up onto.

Amelia waits patiently in the queue, arms folded as she watches as best as she can. Part of her volunteering was because she, herself, was curious.

What luck! Erika is called up first, and invited to perch herself on a simple stool. The doctor approaches, looking her over with a soft 'hmm', "A pleasure to meet you. If you feel uncomfortable, say so. In your own words, please describe your health? What is the average lifespan of those in your family? What does your diet comprise of?" She fires off questions a bit rapidly, scribbling on a clipboard as she circles around Erika.

Erika climbs up onto the stool. She tilts her head slightly at the rapid questions, taking a moment to think before answering. "Well. I'd say I'm healthy. I go swimming regularly. My grandfather lived to sixty five before getting a bit overconfidant in handling some of the livestock on his farm. And my diet is mostly comprised of what is cheap. Steak sandwiches, whatever vegetables are in season. Clams and oysters if I can find them and they don't cost too much, but that doesn't happen as often as I would like."

Amelia pushes up her glasses as she listens to the questioning, ears perked and attention divided between the conversation and her own thoughts. She remains silent, out of politeness.

'Ah', 'Hmm' She appraoches Erika from the front and gives her a soft poke right on the chest where breasts should be, but are not, "Is this a common trait in your family?" She doesn't specify what trait that might be, but there's not a lot of other things she could be considering.

Erika looks down as she's poked, then wrinkles her nose at the question and looks up again. "No. I'm just a fluke!" The last is said with a cheerful smile. She idly kicks her short legs in the air and asks, "What's that got to do with anything though?"

She makes another note, "It's more important than you may think. Most females I have witnesses sport very human like proportions and visual breeding signals. If your family deviated from this, that would be noteworthy. As a singular mutation or defect, less so." Scribble scribble. She draws out a small glass looking flask with a sharp bit at one end, "This will pinch for just a moment, but sit still for me please."

Amelia tilts her head at the flask. "Hmm..." For the most part, it all seemed harmless. So far at least.

Erika furrows her brow as she tries to follow what the woman is saying, though her blank stare seems to indicate that she's not having much luck. Not until the last, anyway, which causes her to eye that odd flask warily. She doesn't try to get away, however, staying still and asking, "What's that going to do?"

She approaches and presses it into a shoulder, where it pinches as promises, and begins to fill rapidly with blood, "It will allow me to see what's going on inside of you. It will cause no harm," well, besides the whole, you know, bleeding part.

Erika exclaims, "Ow!" And jerks away at the pinch. Not far though, just an involuntary flinch. She watches as the glass flask fills with blood, then looks at the doctor with an amused look. "Most beings tend to consider bleeding harmful. Something about wanting to keep whats inside where it belongs."

The flask is tucked away, even if it only has half its blood, "Tell me," she asks, "Do you find any unfavorable response due to your abnormal proportions?"

Erika furrows her brow again at the question and doesn't answer right away. "You mean... Do I ever run into hardheads who think they're better because I'm so short? Sure. Sometimes. You'll run into people like that no matter what. I could be normal in every way and they'd cause problems for me for being too normal. No. The real problem with my height is clothing. I have to get just about everything tailor made."

She nods lightly, "Very good, though I meant your shape, not your size. Do you find males less, more, or equally attracted to you despite your lack of visual cues?" Quite a blunt scholar, this Creator be.

Selena makes her way along the square, folding a slip of paper and tucking it into her pocket. There's a few mments of simple watching at a distance before she move forward a little to get a closer look at the proceedings, alien as the technology is.

Amelia gives a curt nod to Selena, greeting her, albeit it quietly. "Hello there." She turns her eyes back to the proceedings, ears perked.

Erika reaches up and scratches at the base of one of her ears before shrugging her shoulders. "I don't know. I've never been other, so I don't know how attracted they would be to me if I were more... Um... Curvey? I mean, I get a lot of folk hitting on me, but that's the hazard of being a bard. Singing in a tavern, folk get drunk, and... They do that. I tend to ignore them."

Scribble scribble! "Alright, last question. How would you describe yourself, as a species?"

Erika laughs softly and says, "I'm an otter! One would think the Creators would be able to tell that much, at least! What with the whole... You know... Creating thing."

"I did ask how you would describe yourself, not how I would describe you," she points out with a final scribble, "Very good, thank you. Please send in the next."

Selena waves back to Amelia with a smile. "Have you had much luck with your... Studies, I suppose?" She greets, looking back over at the creator scientist with interest. "Have to say I've been curious about this since they all landed here and that one decided to circle me like a vulture - no offense intended." She chuckles.

Erika nods her head and hops down from the stool before making her way out. She waves another person in, not paying much attention to who it is, before waiting nearby so she can listen in. Perhaps she wants to know if the questions asked are the same.

Amelia steps forward, nodding. "Very well. Pleasure to meet you." She places herself on the stool and adjusts her garments, though she does give a nod to Selena. "My studies have been... Interesting. And put on hold in lieu of others happenings."

The creator looks over the canine being that has come up next, hm. "In your own words, how would you rate your health, and what is the average lifespan of those in your family?" she asks, reaching to lift an arm, and inspect the tail, scribbling notes.

Erika flicks an ear as she listens in, humming softly to herself. She wrinkles her brow slightly as the canine seems to get more time to answer those two questions before being asked the third one about diet. So unfair.

Amelia closes her eyes, thinking. "I believe that I am fairly healthy. I'm not in the best of shape, athletically, but not bad off. Average lifespan tends to be between seventy and eighty ears, as far as I remember."

"Far longer than I would have anticipated," she admits, "Are you or your family considered wealthy or of great importance?" she asks, giving an ear a poke, then trailing her pen down to prod at the soul amulet, making it jingle, "And what is this? I have seen several with it. Is it a ritualistic trinket?"

Selena nods, hazarding a wave to the canine as she steps up and begins to answer the questions while busying herself with a puzzle box from her bag, shifting around pieces inattentively. The question about the soul pendant brings her back to attention and she listens in for the response.
