Tis a late night in the city, a curious time to be doing examinations, but the 'Doctor' is awake and ready, and the priests oblige her this. How can they not? They usher those who arrive into orderly file up to a small partitioned area where the Creator sits, waiting for the first volunteer.

Erika hums softly as she waits, looking around. She wanders over toward the 'Doctor', apparently deciding to volunteer, and looks for a seat she can climb up onto.

Amelia waits patiently in the queue, arms folded as she watches as best as she can. Part of her volunteering was because she, herself, was curious.

What luck! Erika is called up first, and invited to perch herself on a simple stool. The doctor approaches, looking her over with a soft 'hmm', "A pleasure to meet you. If you feel uncomfortable, say so. In your own words, please describe your health? What is the average lifespan of those in your family? What does your diet comprise of?" She fires off questions a bit rapidly, scribbling on a clipboard as she circles around Erika.

Erika climbs up onto the stool. She tilts her head slightly at the rapid questions, taking a moment to think before answering. "Well. I'd say I'm healthy. I go swimming regularly. My grandfather lived to sixty five before getting a bit overconfidant in handling some of the livestock on his farm. And my diet is mostly comprised of what is cheap. Steak sandwiches, whatever vegetables are in season. Clams and oysters if I can find them and they don't cost too much, but that doesn't happen as often as I would like."

Amelia pushes up her glasses as she listens to the questioning, ears perked and attention divided between the conversation and her own thoughts. She remains silent, out of politeness.

'Ah', 'Hmm' She appraoches Erika from the front and gives her a soft poke right on the chest where breasts should be, but are not, "Is this a common trait in your family?" She doesn't specify what trait that might be, but there's not a lot of other things she could be considering.

Erika looks down as she's poked, then wrinkles her nose at the question and looks up again. "No. I'm just a fluke!" The last is said with a cheerful smile. She idly kicks her short legs in the air and asks, "What's that got to do with anything though?"

She makes another note, "It's more important than you may think. Most females I have witnesses sport very human like proportions and visual breeding signals. If your family deviated from this, that would be noteworthy. As a singular mutation or defect, less so." Scribble scribble. She draws out a small glass looking flask with a sharp bit at one end, "This will pinch for just a moment, but sit still for me please."

Amelia tilts her head at the flask. "Hmm..." For the most part, it all seemed harmless. So far at least.

Erika furrows her brow as she tries to follow what the woman is saying, though her blank stare seems to indicate that she's not having much luck. Not until the last, anyway, which causes her to eye that odd flask warily. She doesn't try to get away, however, staying still and asking, "What's that going to do?"

She approaches and presses it into a shoulder, where it pinches as promises, and begins to fill rapidly with blood, "It will allow me to see what's going on inside of you. It will cause no harm," well, besides the whole, you know, bleeding part.

Erika exclaims, "Ow!" And jerks away at the pinch. Not far though, just an involuntary flinch. She watches as the glass flask fills with blood, then looks at the doctor with an amused look. "Most beings tend to consider bleeding harmful. Something about wanting to keep whats inside where it belongs."

The flask is tucked away, even if it only has half its blood, "Tell me," she asks, "Do you find any unfavorable response due to your abnormal proportions?"

Erika furrows her brow again at the question and doesn't answer right away. "You mean... Do I ever run into hardheads who think they're better because I'm so short? Sure. Sometimes. You'll run into people like that no matter what. I could be normal in every way and they'd cause problems for me for being too normal. No. The real problem with my height is clothing. I have to get just about everything tailor made."

She nods lightly, "Very good, though I meant your shape, not your size. Do you find males less, more, or equally attracted to you despite your lack of visual cues?" Quite a blunt scholar, this Creator be.

Selena makes her way along the square, folding a slip of paper and tucking it into her pocket. There's a few mments of simple watching at a distance before she move forward a little to get a closer look at the proceedings, alien as the technology is.

Amelia gives a curt nod to Selena, greeting her, albeit it quietly. "Hello there." She turns her eyes back to the proceedings, ears perked.

Erika reaches up and scratches at the base of one of her ears before shrugging her shoulders. "I don't know. I've never been other, so I don't know how attracted they would be to me if I were more... Um... Curvey? I mean, I get a lot of folk hitting on me, but that's the hazard of being a bard. Singing in a tavern, folk get drunk, and... They do that. I tend to ignore them."

Scribble scribble! "Alright, last question. How would you describe yourself, as a species?"

Erika laughs softly and says, "I'm an otter! One would think the Creators would be able to tell that much, at least! What with the whole... You know... Creating thing."

"I did ask how you would describe yourself, not how I would describe you," she points out with a final scribble, "Very good, thank you. Please send in the next."

Selena waves back to Amelia with a smile. "Have you had much luck with your... Studies, I suppose?" She greets, looking back over at the creator scientist with interest. "Have to say I've been curious about this since they all landed here and that one decided to circle me like a vulture - no offense intended." She chuckles.

Erika nods her head and hops down from the stool before making her way out. She waves another person in, not paying much attention to who it is, before waiting nearby so she can listen in. Perhaps she wants to know if the questions asked are the same.

Amelia steps forward, nodding. "Very well. Pleasure to meet you." She places herself on the stool and adjusts her garments, though she does give a nod to Selena. "My studies have been... Interesting. And put on hold in lieu of others happenings."

The creator looks over the canine being that has come up next, hm. "In your own words, how would you rate your health, and what is the average lifespan of those in your family?" she asks, reaching to lift an arm, and inspect the tail, scribbling notes.

Erika flicks an ear as she listens in, humming softly to herself. She wrinkles her brow slightly as the canine seems to get more time to answer those two questions before being asked the third one about diet. So unfair.

Amelia closes her eyes, thinking. "I believe that I am fairly healthy. I'm not in the best of shape, athletically, but not bad off. Average lifespan tends to be between seventy and eighty ears, as far as I remember."

"Far longer than I would have anticipated," she admits, "Are you or your family considered wealthy or of great importance?" she asks, giving an ear a poke, then trailing her pen down to prod at the soul amulet, making it jingle, "And what is this? I have seen several with it. Is it a ritualistic trinket?"

Selena nods, hazarding a wave to the canine as she steps up and begins to answer the questions while busying herself with a puzzle box from her bag, shifting around pieces inattentively. The question about the soul pendant brings her back to attention and she listens in for the response.

Erika continues to listen, brow furrowing slightly as the question about diet seems to be completely skipped! Weird. She watches the poking at the soul amulet and looks a bit more interested, likely wondering what a Creator would make of the Gifted.

Amelia rubs her chin. "Well. Yes. My family has noble status, and I am a priest of Shralesta. I believe that would count as being of importance. The amulet is used to carry a soul gem, after a... Tragedy that had befallen our land. Many require one, yes."

"Ah," she says as if things make much more sense with this information, "I'm afraid I don't entirely understand part of that. What use is a piece of jewelry to offset this 'tragedy', of what nature was it, and how does this help?" asks the Creator scholar pointedly, leaning in to have a better look at it.

Amelia remains quiet for a moment, as she tries to find the words. "Offspring were born without souls. These gems contain the souls that fill the 'gap' as it were. There are benefits, as well as drawbacks. We can wear different ones, but not at the same time. One at a time, in most cases. Going over that results in mental side effects." She looks to the Creator, hoping that all made sense.

Erika looks about to say something, but quickly closes her mouth to stifle whatever it was. She takes a couple steps back and glances around for somewhere else to sit so she can watch the proceedings.

Selena chuckles quietly at the given response, shaking her head as the scholar asks again. Though a rasonable question, at least. It's fairly evident she's holding her tongue at that point, murmuring something to herself.

Scribble scribble scribble. "Can you, in your own words, define a 'soul'?" she asks, perhaps a bit of a hint of skepticism in her tone.

Amelia blinks and rests her hands in her lap. "Well. A soul is... In my own words, at least, the essence of a being. Experience, memories, the like. By wearing them, people can quickly learn things that would otherwise take a considerable amount of time."

"Fascinating," speaks the Creator, "May I borrow it, for a moment?" she asks, already reaching to relieve Amelia of the jewelry, "I will give it back."

Erika hums and nods her head at Amelia's answer, before opening her mouth in a wide yawn. She turns and starts heading in the general direction of the inn, moving one hand to rub her arm. Not that the point where the blood was drawn really hurts.

Lidiya had heard rumors of examinations going on. Well, what's an exam if they're not being watched. Her natural curiosity wins out in the end and she hurries along towards the place, stopping just short of plowing through the doors. She's not subtle about opening them, but she's not slamming into them at least. It only takes a moment to find out where the center of the commotion is and from there she hurries along and stands on her toes to watch. Well, after stepping around the tiny otter.

Selena smiles slightly, seemingly in agreement with the positon put forward by the dog, though she rifles though her bag, removing a pendant from it after a few moments. Missing Lidiya at first, she calls over to Amelia; "I've got one she can look at." Emphasis on the word 'look'.

Amelia instinctively reaches up to rest her hand on her amulet. "I would... Really prefer if you did not. If you insist, I will hand it over, but I do not like being parted from it. Most of us do not. Being without our soul gem for too long leaves us vulnerable to the shadows." She looks to Selena. "But she has made a gracious offer!"

"I will treat it carefully and never leave your sight," she promises, gently undoing it and slipping it free from Amelia. She inspects it carefully first, making idle notes as she turns it this way and that. Of course, there is one other thing that must be done, and she moves to slip it around her own neck. She looks expectant a moment, then frowns. A hand goes to her head as if a migraine had begun, and the pendant is swiftly removed, "Fascinating," she says, even as she looks to be recovering from the headache. She offers the pendant back, making furious notes.

Lidiya slides over towards Selena, peeking at Amelia from behind the mask. She then pokes Selena in the side, tilts her head and shrugs her shoulders. Then she turns to the creator, grins, not that it's visible behind the mask and waves to her. Then she stops, rubs her chin after a bit of thought and lifts it so it's settled on top of her head. Some sorts don't like not seeing faces, best not to taunt the maybe gods.

Selena shrugs, slipping the pendant back into her bag as the doctor takes a brief look at Amelia's pendant. "Lidiya, you don't have to poke." She chuckles as she jackal moves over to her. "And the mask's off? Well, that's unusual. Then again, this certainly isn't normal either." The wolfess chuckles, looking back over to the creator for their next action.

Amelia seems to go on edge once the jewelry is removed, fur standing on end. She quickly recovers once it is returned to her, however. "It is ill advised to wear one when you are not soulless. Two souls cannot occupy one body, you see, and you already have one." Or at least she assumes that the Creator does.

"Of course," she says, not sounding entirely convinced, but clearly affected by the experience. She draws out a new glass flask, "This will pinch a moment, but please remain still," she says as she advances to get the blood sample.

Lidiya looks over to Selena and pokes her again and signs something to her. The poke was mostly just because. Then she glances from side to side and slowly inches closer, trying to see the flask mostly. And why she's poking it at the other woman. Said woman's waved to at least.

Selena chuckles as she's poked, glancing back at the jackal and reading the gestures as they're made. "I can do that." She replies simply, looking back to the front for a moment and stepping to the side so that Lidiya can get a (Hopefully) Better view of the proceedings.

Amelia moves one arm, both to return the wave and push up her sleeve so that the blood sample can be taken without obstruction. Her eyes lock onto the flask, though, as she tries to get a better view, now that she is closer.

It is a simple tube, with a sharp bit at the end that bites into flesh and allows the blood to flow freely. As if noticing the attention, the Creator notes, "It's important to know where to place it. Simply stabbing someone with it will cause needless pain. It's also delicate, and we don't want to break it." Least of all, inside someone. As soon as it's mostly full, she withdraws it, cleans the spot, and gestures, "You have been very helpful." She looks out over the crowd, frowns, and points at Lidiya directly, "You, you're next." What, she wasn't next in line. So unfair.

Lidiya looks confused for a moment and looks to Selena, then offers a shrug and steps forward with a big cheery grin. She doesn't really say anything of course, so she gestures at Selena.

Selena laughs quietly as Lidiya's pointed to. "Well. Looks like it's your lucky day." She teases, nudging the jackal and moving along with her, clearing her throat politely and explaining, "Lidiya's a mute." Perhap a little blunt, but there'd have to be a good reason for crowding the front. "I can translate, if your machines can't recognise our sign language."

Amelia shuffles back, off to the side, with a nod. "Very well. I hope you were able to obtain useful information from me."

"I'm afraid they were not made for that," admits the Creator, "It listens, it does not watch. Very well, let us start with the obvious. She is clearly unusual for your people. If you covered her ears, she would appear human." She tucks that flask away, and draws a fresh, looking ready to get right to drawing, "Why is this?"

Lidiya looks to Selena and signs something to her, grins, then looks to the Creator and rubs her chin while trying to look up. Those ears flick and she covers them and looks to Selena with her head tilted. Then she snaps her finger and turns and wags her tail for the creator too. Finally she signs one last thing to Selena while shrugging to the researcher.

Selena nods, chuckling quietly. "Well, we can't do everything." She comments, waiting for Lidiya's response in order to translate it - When it comes she chuckle. "I think human is what they call themselves. Doctor.. Sinclair, wasn't it? She also says that if she knew she'd tell you. There's no rhyme or reason for the occasional being to be born with less fur than usual." She replies with a shrug. "But that doesn't answer everything."

Amelia looks up for a moment and rubs her chin. "I can't say I know why, either. I have theories, but nothing more." She pulls up her codex and begins leafing through it.

The doctor leans forward. First the blood sample, but then, inspections. Poking and feeling over the face, "There is no hint of a snout here. And yes, dear, that is a lovely tail you have." The inspection is more thorough than the others had gotten, as she gets felt, poked, and touched basically everywhere, looking for where human anatomy ends and being anatomy begins. "You say this is an isolated mutation? How often does it occur? Does it happen within your family, or?"

Lidiya looks to Selena and Amelia as she's poked and prodded. Selena might recognize the look as the same one that makes her poke and prod back. She stops herself at least though, showing some restraint for once. She waits until she wouldn't be trying to use her hands on the doctor to sign something to Selena. Probably answers really.

Selena looks back at the jackal and gives a sympathetic look, signing something back with a grin. "She says, that the parent she knew was normal enough and that if you have a way to track down family she'd look for her other parent." She shrugs back to Lidiya. "As for that book Amelia has, I'm not sure. Notes or something of the sort, maybe?" She suggests.

Notes are taken dutifully, "If anyone is aware, do children of 'furless beings' tend to be furless as well, or does it skip generations?" she asks, moving around Lidiya in a light circle. "While we are on that topic, do you feel males are less, more, or about as likely to be attracted to you as a fully furred female?"

Amelia looks up at mention of her book. "This book? This is... A lot of things. Notes. Prayer. The like. Mostly notes, though, yes." She seems to be taking a few notes of her own, but on what is anyone's guess.

Lidiya reaches up and tugs her mask off of her head, showing that there are indeed straps to the thing buried in her hair. She offers it out and shrugs. Whether it's taken or not, she'll get it out of her hands and sign to Selena while nodding to Amelia.

Selena gives the creator an odd look, murmuring something to herself along the lines of, "Is that even an appropriate question?" Though Lidiya's signing snaps her back to reality and she nods, repeating the jackal's comment; "She says that if she ever has a kid, she'll main you and let you know. As for that other comment, I'm curious why you ask exactly. Lidiya says that the mask probably should've given that away. An example from when I first met her, I wound up staring for a while. Certainly not out of attraction, and I still find it a little strange to be honest."

Taking notes quietly a moment, the Doctor looks at Selena, "It is difficult to explain, but there are... beings... in other places, besides this world. They do not exhibit many of the features that your people do. I want to know exactly how it differs." She gestures with her writing instrument at the furless being, "That. is illegal. The creation of such a thing would land the creator immediately in prison. While a hum...creator, may give themselves furry ears or a tail, there is a very clear legal line between... beings... and creators," she explains, "And this is a gross violation." Scribble scribble, "Not that I am a lawkeeper, this is simply fascinating."

Amelia blinks a little, her writing falters at the end portion of the creator's comment. After processing it for a moment, she goes back to writing.

Lidiya glares at the Creator at the word, 'That' in reference to her. She signs to Selena and then blinks and adds something else to it. Looking around, she sort of tries to reach up to pull her mask in place, then stops and sighs. She signs one last thing then watches the Creator with a bit less enthusiasm.

Selena quirks a brow. "I've heard rumors like that. Though I'm curious how many other worlds have been left about for almost five hundred years with beings on them now that you mention it. And both myself and Lidiya would appreciate it if you didn't call her 'that'. She's a being, sentient and sapient just like you or me. Lidiya would also like to know what kind of violiation." She replies, sounding a little unimpressed by the reaction but nonetheless still curious.

Hmm, "Oh, I was referring to her appearance, not her. She is a lovely person, I'm quite sure." She taps her pen lightly against her clipboard, "I am not a lawkeeper," she repeats, "But the basic premise is that you can only use so much hu...creator... UNKNOWN." she pauses, hearing the word fail to be translated. "Essence," she tries again with a new word, "Only so much creator essence can be placed in a creation. Too much, and it becomes illegal. Similarly, one can only change a creator so much away from being creator shaped before it becomes illegal in the same way."

Amelia adjusts her glasses and looks up. "Is there a reason why, may I ask? Is it to prevent impersonation?" She had a feeling that wasn't it at all, but she didn't want to seem accusatory.

Lidiya shifts from side to side, not really looking so sure at the dismissive answer. She shrugs it off for now and signs to Selena. Tilting her head towards Amelia, she shakes her head and signs towards Selena once more, thankful that she's not having to write, pantomime and dance for this at least.

Selena looks a little skeptical as well, though she doe offer a polite enough reply - "Well, that makes no sense to me, but I suppose that'd be another thing entirely." She comments, looking back to Amelia and nodding. "Just like she said, I don't see why it should be 'illegal' unless it's being abused, but that's not why you're here. As you said - you're not a lawkeeper." Lidiya's signing is again translated; "Lidiya thinks you're suggesting a creator, human, whichever decided to... Copulate with a being at some point in distant past. I don't even know if that'd be possible, but it'd give you a posibility." she shrugs, then looks back over to Amelia. "She's also said that she doesn't think she looks like anyone else, so that's unlikely in her case."

"You'd have to ask politicians about that," she sighs, reaching to pinch her nose, "If I may be frank," as if anyone would stop her, "It's about fear. Some creators are obsessed with the idea that our creations could be the next step, and supplant us. It's a lot of low self esteem nonsense." Scribble, "People need to focus on minding their own business instead of fussing about what others are accomplishing." Her opinion on the law is made clear in her scientific scoffing of the fears involved, "As for how she was invested with the... creator," Hey, she's getting better at using the right word, "essence, I could not say. I could not say how a lot of quirks in your design came to be. The company that produced your progenitors appear to have broken a lot of laws doing it. The biggest question in my mind is how they avoided being noticed for so long."

Amelia tilts her head. That was the answer she expected, but presented in a way that she -didn't- expect. "Ah, I see. Thank you." She scribbles something down. "People are sneaky sometimes."

Lidiya shrugs and signs to Selena as usual as she responds to the Creator. Sort of. Her tail frazzles out briefly, then she lenas forward to look closely at the creator woman. Well, not too close, people get all weirded out when she does that and most of them don't have access to things that would probably make her very dead. Easily at least.

The doctor reaches to tap Lidiya on the nose, "You are adorable. You have the mannerisms of your people, despite your creator appearance." Scribble, "Do you also have the jewelry, the..." flip flip, "Soul pendant?"

Selena laughs quietly at the response - in good heart, certainly not mockery. "Well, Maybe it's a little like crops growing. Sometimes odd traits show themselves over time, but I don't think anything so extreme has happened." She suggests, before suddenly adding, "So the blood samples - they're for some kind of test, aren't they?" She asks, gesturing back to Lidiya with a shrug. "She thinks it's more than self esteem problems." She adds, the comparatively patronising response making her cringe a little.

Amelia certainly seems a little bit more at ease, for the moment, as she flips her codex closed and lets it dangle from the chains once more. "There are many things it could be. And I hope I do not offend, but I appreciate your view on it."

Lidiya wrinkles her nose and looks down at her nose, then stands up straight and signs to Selena quickly, looking a bit annoyed with her. She reaches under her shirt after though and holds out one of the dual soul pendants, both slotted. The pendant... looks a little battered like it's been through a lot. Then again, most of her equipment looks like she uses them creatively. A quick look at Amelia, then she signs one last thing to Selena

Patronizing, from one's patrons?! Say it aint so. The Doctor nods, "Of course. I will be able to determine how much... essence... there is in those I have inspected, and perhaps discover how things have changed over the years. Perhaps, as you suggest, this is a wild change cropped up from your many..." she pauses, "Ah, that is an important detail. Exactly how long HAVE your people lived on this planet?" The jewelry is presented, and the doctor becomes distracted, looking it over and taking notes on it, especially in how it is similar and different from the other, "The jewels on this one appear different. Is this a mark of status, or a personal expression?"

Selena coughs at Lidiya's response, though she does cede a nod. Looking back to Amelia, "Lidiya's wants to know why you need a chain for the book." She echoes, then glances back to the creator. "This is year 476 after we arrived." She replies simply. "And I can field the question about jewels. Different ones house different 'souls', if you'd call them that." She replies, slipping hers out from under her blouse for comparison if need be.

Amelia nods at Selena. "That sounds right, yes." She brushes a hand against her own amulet. "As she says, different 'souls' will have different effects."

"Is the 'soul' housed determined by the pattern of jewelry used?" she asks, taking notes on what is said, "And almost five hundred years. Another illegality." scribble. "Plenty of time for things to change unpredictably. Your people will create shockwaves the likes of which you have no idea. There simply is no such thing as any custom created species breeding without intervention for so long. I would pay to see the faces of some when they hear the news." scribble. The new amulet is a new chance for notes, which she takes without delay. "Chain?" she asks as she's writing.

Lidiya points to the chain of Amelia's book. She had just thought it silly to see a book chained up like it was dangerous. She nods to the first question as well, the one about the Jewelry and points to one, then the other and stops, signing to Selena instead. It's a bit of a long one this time.

Selena directs her immediate response to Lidiya, signign something back before she replies to the scientist; "Lidiya's souls are focussed on earth magic and 'headbutting bone dragons'. She also wants to know that if we're an 'illegality', then are they going to retaliate? WOuld it be a good idea to fudge some details, that she'd rather not be poked too much more... And if we won't get in trouble." a breath after all the speaking and she adds, "It wouldn't be fair to suddenly force us to change. And I'll admit I'm worried as well. When Lindy and her husband mentioned investing or buying promise..." She shakes her head. "There's a way around all this, isn't there?"

Amelia looks down at her book. "I just use this so I can have it constantly in reach. It's like an accessory, too." If a bit of a garish one. "And... I share their concerns. We're happy here. We're no threat to Creators, but Creators can be a very big threat to us. What if they decide we shouldn't live here any longer?"

"Too late," states the doctor. "By law, even if your creation was illegal at every step, you qualify as an autonomous society, which you are. You have not been supplied by us, or anyone, for five hundred years, three hundred past the cut off mark. No one can, legally, call for your termination because, technically, you're an alien species now, not a creation." And there it is. "Congratulations."

Lidiya rubs her chin at that and opens her mouth, maybe thinking, a weird habit really though since she never talks. She signs to Selena, then grins cheerily and looks at least less surly again. Glancing to Amelia she signs one more thing to the wolf and then she signs one last thing to Selena.

Selena smiles broadly, a sigh of relief exiting her lips as those words are spoken - moving so far as to give the scientist a hug, assuming she could do so without being too obtrusive before she collects herself again and moves back, looking rather embarrassed to say the least. Lidiya's signing is met with a nod, "So, Lidiya asks if we're set on that front, assuming there's nothing going un 'under the table'?" A moment's pause and she chuckles. "And Amelia, Lidiya sugegsts a bag for that. And she gives her thanks."

Amelia lets out a sigh of relief. "You have no idea how excited I am to hear that. I was getting incredibly worried. As for the bag... Well. Then I couldn't use it as an accessory." She gestures down to the white-covered book, complete with gold trimming and embellishment. It practically classifies as jewelry itself.

The doctor shrugs, "I wouldn't say you're out of the woods yet." A pause, "That's a saying. You qualify as an alien species, but you control very little of the world, and are demonstratedly not negatively impacted by humanCreator," she blurts the two words together, trying to correct herself, "There is no legal protection from the world being sold, since it's for sale. Since none of you have any credits, you certainly aren't going to purchase it yourself. The question then, who will buy it? They can't tell you to get off the planet, and they can't, legally, harm you, but they could make life difficult in a lot of ways skirting the rules." She tucks the clipboard under her arm, "It's getting late." She glances at her right wrist, where some numbers glow softly, "Or early. Thank you all for being so cooperative."

Lidiya looks to Selena and signs something to her after hearing that the world is for sale. Her ears flick a bit, then she glances to the doctorhuman, with a curious look on her face for a moment, then she glances towards the doors and nods. It is late, by most sort's standards really. Amelia's just given a strange look at her comment.

Selena groans at that comment, though it does serve to level out her mood a little. "I had a discussion about that with another being, actually. Wouldn't it be possible to come to some kind of trade agreement to keep our planet? Sure, we don't have your currency, but evidently there's something of worth here." She replies, though the comment about the time is met with a sigh and nod. "Well, Thank you for the good and the bad of that." She comments a little halfheartedly. "Lidiya just suggested the same thing - How do we get credits, and that if it's a term for money why not barter for our world? I'm not in a position to make that kind of bargain, but there has to be something we can do."

Amelia offers a meek shrug to Lidiya. "I have alternative tastes, okay?" She bows to the Creator. "Yes, thank you for your time, as well. You have given me much to think over."

"You can't trade what isn't yours," she notes as she collects her various tools and supplies. "Technically, any minerals you wanted to trade would already belong to who purchased the world. If you could find someone willing to ferry it before the world was sold, sell it for you, and was trustworthy enough to bring the creds back to you, that might work. Before you ask, our ship is not large or fast enough to make a difference. You'd want a huge cargo hauler, and they aren't cheap." News delivered, and so much research to be done, the doctor makes her exit, flanked by priests to make sure she makes it back to her ship safely.

Lidiya sighs at that and rolls her shoulders before waving to the creatorlady. She giggles, a very faint almost squeak before she quickly shakesh er head. Looking to Amelia she nods and reaches up and deliberately sets it on her face. Finally she signs something to Selena.

Selena gives the creator a wave as she departs, then turns back to Lidiya. "If we can send that kind of a message." She replies simply. "As she just said, there's not much of an option to trade minerals if someone buys the planet before then, so we'd have to offer services or something else. Labor, maybe. I'm not sure, but maybe we can figure something out."

Amelia rubs her neck. "What do you think the odds are of finding a benevolent Creator to buy the planet, and then give it to us? Probably not good, but... Maybe. Ah well. We'll have to come up with something."
