Alicia dressed in her typical outfit, Alicia wanders along the streets of the castle district til she arrives at the manor gates. She approaches one of the guards with a warm smile, hands folded in front of her. "Hello there! Is the lady of the house in today? I would like to speak with her," she says with a twitch of her floppy ears.

The bear at the gate raises a brow, watching Alicia with an almost curious expression. "Yes? And your name? Do you have an appointment with the lady?" he mumbles, looking to his companion on the other side of the gate, a rabbit-lady. Both of them are wearing the blue-patched security-outfit that LongTech Industries hands to its guards, of course.

Alicia gives a little curtsy to the bear before standing back upright. "I am Alicia Bonetti. No appointment, no. I am usually with the Blackback family, if you need to check my credentials. I came here to speak to the lady of the house about a job opportunity, and to offer my services."

"We ain't hiring, far as I know. Allison? We hiring?" he passes to the other, his eyes scanning her for a change, while the rabbit-lady shakes her head. "We can... Fit you in, probably. Inventor? Craftswoman? Hired muscle?" the rabbit-lady mumbles after a moment of contemplation, pulling out a clipboard of sorts to make a few notes.

"Caretaker." Comes the simple, curt reply. "I heard that there was a bit of trouble here not too long ago. I dabble in firearms from time to time, but I'm not inventor. Nor am I really 'hired muscle' though I am quite capable of defending the home. No, I am a caretaker. Or a maid, as it were. I cook, I clean, I look after young, I see to it that the house is kept in tip-top shape."

"Care.... Taker," comes the almost confused and dazed reply from the rabbit-lady, her brow raised significantly higher than usual.

"I... You are aware that the manor is more a workshop than anything else... Right? And so far, there are no young ones," she notes, scratching her head, before scribbling some things down.

"Quite aware," Alicia says with a nod towards the other rabbit. "Workshops still need things cleaned and organized, do they not? Errands still need to be run, unless the lady herself fancies doing all her own shopping. Beds that need making, windows that need polishing. There is a lot of upkeep involved! And it comes with home defense, too, should it be desired. And you say there are no young ones 'yet.' But what if there are in the future? Is it proper to have younglings running about on the work floor? I'd think not."

"Steven, check on the Lady," the rabbit notes, making a few marks on her clipboard. "Unless she's free or you run into her during her daily-routines, she's rather booked for the next month. It'll be at least three weeks," she mumbles, watching the bear move towards the manor to do his job. Seems she's his senior.

"Words of advice. Do not attempt to touch the Lady. Do not embellish the facts, and don't touch her things without permission."

Alicia nods slowly and perks her ears. "That sounds fair. I am a professional. I have been doing this for years, for the Blackbacks. I know how to work quietly, effectively, and keep out of the way. But we'll see when I am able to get ahold of her, at least. If she is busy today, I shall keep my eyes open."

A small smile, a shak of the head. "It's not about staying out of the way. It's about the lady's... Tendencies," she mumbles, shaking her head. "Sign this... And this, and this," the rabbit-lady notes, with several... Well, are those contracts already?

A quick read-through shows that one of them is meant for visitors to consent to any security-measures, hand over any weapons they might have, and stay in the company of their two assigned guards at all times. The second is for people looking for employment, to consent to any pre-employment procedures the lady might think up... There are several smaller forms that denote skills and the like, though they seem mostly geared for the previously mentioned positions, even though there is a field for written text.

Alicia bows her head and accepts the paperwork, carefully reading over and signing each one as appropriate. She's certainly not one to skim over things and get suckered into something. She takes care to know exactly what she's getting into before handing the paperwork back. Though she -did- fill out an additional few things to list her skills in terms of messing with firearms, at least. "Well, I am sure we can make it work. I am adaptable."

Allison nods a tad, before watching Steven re-appear, accompanied by two other guards. One wolf, one feline, the feline is quick to take all the papers from Allison, before the large gates are unlocked, and Alicia is allowed entrance into the manor. "Stay close, and do not waste the Lady's time... She's on a busy schedule."

Alicia flashes a warm smile and reaches up to adjust her large, round glasses. "Of course," she says, following after the guards. "I am here for business, not idle chatter. A maid must be punctual, you know! Or they wouldn't be very good at their job."

A smile, a nod, and a rumble from the feline as the two guide Alicia towards the doorstep, making sure to confiscate any weapons beforehand, of course. Soon enough, they arrive at a small office at the top of the stairs, where Flora is busy flipping through some designs of sorts... Golems, by the looks of it.

"Yes?"

Alicia, fortunately, has no weapons! Not a single one for them to confiscate. She dips into a little curtsy towards Flora and smiles. "Greetings and good afternoon. I heard you are busy, so I will be right to the point. I heard there was a bit of a problem here a bit ago, and I know that you're an up and coming 'new' noble, and so I've come to ask if you seek more staff, if you happen to find yourself short." The small clan rabbit straightens her apron and nods. "I am Alicia Bonetti, maid of the Blackback family for several years now, and, if you wish it, your maid, instead. I am capable of cooking, cleaning, child rearing, financial management, and myriad other house-upkeep tasks. I do not require much in return. The higher the salary the better, but I do not charge large amounts. Only what you feel is fair, and a roof over my head on the area of my work, so that I may be close at hand."

A smile, a tailflick, before Flora shakes her head. "Flora is just Flora... Not High Lady Longtail unless in one of Promise's courts," the cat notes with a mumble, before turning her chair around, tails swaying behind her.

"Financial management... We have such," the cat notes, gesturing towards two ledgers, her tails swishing lightly still.

"Is there... Any particular reason you wish to stop working for the Blackbacks?" the cat notes, raising a brow, her ears flicking lightly. "Considering that it would be more... Financially sound to continue your current employment," she notes, her ears constantly twitching.

Alicia perks her ears and nods. "Yes, well, I just thought I'd cover all my bases. As for why..." She straightens up and folds her hands in front of her again. "The Blackbacks have been good to me, yes. And I am still on friendly terms with them, certainly, but... They have quite a few already. I thought my services might be better put to use here. I'm assuming you don't have quite as many as they do, so hands may be stretched a bit thin trying to manage everything."

Flora nods lightly, her tails flicking behind her, before watching Alicia with curiosity. "You are aware that every single member of LongTech Industries, or indeed, anyone that associates with Flora makes themselves a target for the other half of the family, yes?" the cat notes, tailtips twitching lightly, before she looks back towards Alicia again. "There is not much money to be had from us, either," the cat notes, scribbling some notes down in he mean time.

Alicia keeps her eyes settled on Flora, reaching up to adjust her glasses again. "Yes, quite aware. I am not incapable of defending myself, your home, and your property. And yes, you may not have the funds that the Blackbacks do... Yet, but I am aware of that, also. Connections are valuable, though, and I want to help. Maybe, if I do help, when you've made your place once more you will remember those that helped you get there. There is no chance of mobility within the Blackback family. But this is all I know. I've been doing this since I was a little girl, and I am hoping that I might -use- that talent to a... Greater impact within Longtail."

Flora blinks a few times, her tails still swaying, her ears still flicking. "Flora will... Contemplate," she mumbles, her ears flicking lightly as she looks over her papers, a small nod following as she flips through them. "Flora will send word once a decission is made... If there is anything else Flora should know, now would be the time, yes," she mumbles, her tails still swaying.

Alicia shakes her head and takes a step back. "Not at all, miss Flora. I will let you get back to your work. I shall remain in the employ of the Blackback family til a decision is made. Thank you for considering me, and it shouldn't be hard to find me to inform."
