An imposing feline in Longtech guard armor stands near a pair of wagons, laden with stone, wood, and other materials, as various Beings run back and forth, taking note of inventory and ensuring the wagons are secure. The guard lets out a sigh as he looks around, awaiting the arrival of these Freeswords Lady Longtail hired.

Fenris rides up on the back of his gigantic, purple buffalo. "Hey there, Marcus," Fenris says, giving a lazy, half salute to the guard, "Flora said you could use an extra hand or two following this stuff to town?" The tiger is wearing shimmering metal plates sewn into a flexible leather jerkin. It looks like it might be a uniform, but there is no indication as to what uniform it might be.

Terry moves up with the rest of the group. The diminuitive feline is clad in plain, seemingly off-the-shelf leather armor, with a cloak thrown on top of it for good measure. He stays near the enormous purple buffalo, lingering nearby while listening attentively to the others. He waves at the posted guard in greeting. "Greetings, sir. At your service."

Benna seems to have put on something a bit more form-fitting than her usual potato sacks for the mission, a snug creator jumpsuit layered beneath the jacket of a certain coyote. With a quiver and bow on her back and an unsure look on her face, she shuffles up to the LongTech guard, giving a nod to Fenris and Terry as she recognizes them. "Hello, again," she offers quietly.

Among the beings taking care of inventory and ensuring the wagons are properly fit and secure, an unfamiliar face stood among them, carrying a large stack of wood to a wagon.

"Alright, these seem to be in order." Said the Reptile-looking being, setting the stack down and adding, "How many more are left?" Cary gently asked one of the beings responsible for inventory. The peculiar looking dinosaur was wearing his usual journeying gear but he was carrying various vials with him instead of his usual blacksmithing gear.

A short distance away from the caravan, Rodian leans against some sort of mechanical beast as a twirligig circled around him. He is wearing his usual attire of leather, made specifically reduce any burns he may receive while dealing with the tech around him. He calmly polishes a disc with a rag, only looking up to see a purple buffalo. "Uh, how peculiar." He mumbles to himself, noting the rider to be Fenris. He gives the tiger a short wave.

Galve lightly lands just a short distance away from the congregation of beings, his arrival announced by the drone of insect wings. He approached the others, greeting the Longtech guard and looking around a little. "Guarding a convoy... this should be good."

"This one is here.", announces a voice from knee-level to the guard. "I will be providing extra help." He crosses his arms. The small lizard is clothed in some leather armor with a hood covering most of his face, though his snout peeks out of it. He appears to be equipped with a small crossbow strapped to his forearm, a satchel of bolts and at least one dagger.

Marcus grunts, eyeing the Fenris' buffalo. "Personally, I think we can handle it, but Lady Longtail insisted," he says, crossing his arms as he looks at each Freesword that arrives. "...Lady Longtail definitely knows overkill," the guard mutters as he notes the size of the party. He motions the adventurers to the side and explains the situation.

"The last few convoys to go through here got raided; Lady Longtail is tired of delays and wants this taken care of, now." The feline looks less than pleased with having to accept outside assistance, but he doesn't comment on it. "Prepare yourselves. We move in five. I want this done quick and easy," Marcus says, raising his voice for the workers to hear, before heading over to a small group of guards, no doubt also under Lady Longtail's employ.

Fenris laughs easily, staying on his mount. "Our dear highlady does like to make sure a job is done," he says waving to the others who have come along for this little jaunt. The tiger guides his buffalo around the wagons, greeting other Longtail guards and employees he knows.

Terry shrugs lightly. "The Longtails have enough crown to throw all of it at problems that need fixing. It's more profit for us." He moves towards the wagon, inspecting it for a moment, before turning to the others. "I.. I must confess I am not familiar with this area much. What should we expect to face?"

Cary fiddles with and prepares a couple of vials, strapping them onto their belt. Their content seems mostly.. Oily and brownish? Odd. Either way, the odd-looking dino inspects the freeswords and not really knowing any of them, waves and politely greets them. "Good day. And.. This is an awful lot of people. I certainly wasn't expecting all this, the bandits must be really fierce then, right?" Cary faintly smiles, leaning on one of the wagons. "Anyway, I volunteered to keep an eye out on the wagons and.. Gear. So if you have anything that needs a quick patch on our way, just give me a shout. I've got a couple of tricks on my sleeve if anything happens though."

Rodian coughs nervously and walks over to the rest of the group, his crusher keeping a decent distance away while his twirligig patrolled around the caravan. "Uh hello," He attempts to greet everyone while shuffling in place. "I'm not the greatest of fighters but I um, well if anyone gets hurt thats how I'll help." The corgi rubs at the back of his head and keeps an eye on his crusher, didn't want anyone to get accidently hurt by it.

Galve checked his gear and looks around a little. He approaches the wagons, asking one of the employees whether it would be better for him to ride or follow on foot, or by wing if they wanted.

"Let us get underway.", Shliek says as he climbs up onto one of the wagons. By the frown on his face, he seems not at all intertested in chatter and more on getting the job done. He watches the other chatter away about the job, listening, but not contributing in that regard.

Marcus scowls and heads for the center of the bustle. "Alright, move out!" he calls, the guards falling into line around the wagons. "Climb in or follow along, I don't care. But these wagons are going!" the feline continues, heading to the front of the convoy. And with that, the workers are climbing into the wagons and the convoy is making its way down the trail.

Fenris finishes his pleasantries and sets PB (Purple Buffalo) to ambling along beside the supply train, staying just about in the middle. The big tiger produces a small, stringed instrument from somewhere in his saddle bags and accompanies himself as he sings. Something about a crying guitar, but it is nice to listen to.

Terry clambers up onto one of the wagons after the offer is made, perching up against the building materials. The small feline being looks around to each of his companions, his gaze lingering on Fenris. He smiles slightly at the song being played. "Can tell who's been on an outing like this before."

Cary slowly climbs up onto one of the wagons as well, trying not to get their tail stuck on anything or.. Not hitting anyone with it for that matter. "We're in good company, aren't we folks?" Cary smiles a little bit, gazing at the other companions. "I mean, we even have a bard of sorts, hah!" The ankylosaurus cheerfully added, looking quite optimistic.

Rodian walks alongside the wagon, his crusher following behind at the same distance. His attention was mostly on the disc in his hands as he continued polishing it. "Walking is nice, it stretches out your legs." He says idly to noone in particular.

Galve finds a seat on one of the wagons, near to the back of the train but still within speaking distance of the group. He keeps tabs on everyone he can see, looking between them and listening to Fenris' musical talent.

"Shliek gets enough excercise from walking.", the lizard says in reply to Rodian. "Short legs work twice as hard." Despite his restful position, the lizard seems alert and ready to take action should anyhting start up.

The Convoy winds its way through the Pass, sounds of the waterfall in the distance. The workers are working, and the guards are guarding. Not a worry in the world...

Fenris finishes his song with a flourish, then stows the little guitar and draws a long spear strapped to his mount's side. "Don't mean to alarm anyone," he says cheerily, "But I think we've got company! Eyes on the pass!"

Terry was so fascinated by the song that he failed to spot.. anything at all, really. His dopey smile is replaced by a look of confusion as the song stops and the bard calls out the danger. He scrambles to draw his weapon, a dagger, and hops down from his perch on top of one of the wagons. He uses the wagon as cover, looking around to try and find out where the danger is coming from.

"The Tiger is right. As much as I like quiet moods, this is getting a little.. Too quiet. Keep an eye out, if it comes to it I have some potions that will help." The dino stated, standing up on the wagon and keeping alert.

Rodian perks his ears at the silence and shuffles closer to the wagon. Flattening his ears against his hat, he lets out a low whistle. His twirligig repositions itself closer to the middle of the caravan and his crusher quickly catches up to the caravan, lumbering close to the corgi. The disc in his hands hummed with a blue light as he activated it in precaution.

Galve agrees with Fenris and the others. He draws his pistol, wings buzzing behind him in anticipation. "Any idea what we're up against, sir?" He asks Fenris, since he was the one who spotted them first.

Shliek stands up on the wagon and arms his crossbow. His snout curls into a deeper frown. "They'll reget it this time.", he murmurs, ready to fire on the first threatening being to appear.

At Fenris' warning, the workers scramble into the wagons and the guards draw their weapons, scanning the area. And not a moment too soon, as an arrow whizzes by Fenris, embedding itself in the wagon nearby! One arrow is quickly followed by several more, mostly aimed for the Fenris and his buffalo, Rodian with his Crusher, and Marcus. The Longtech guard ducks behind cover, yelling, "Move, move! Don't let them take another shipment!"

Bandits in...surprisingly decent armor slide down the slopes of the pass, brandishing swords and axes, and the grins of men who do this for the thrill of killing. Schliek's crossbow bolt almost matches to catch one of them, but misses amidst all the sliding. "Alright, boys! Kill the guards and take the goods! We're getting good pay for this, best not let 'em down!" yells one of the thugs as he looks on from above, a large wolf with a gash over one eye and a notch out of his ear.

Fenris slides off his steed's back, spear in hand. "Charge!" he shouts gleefully, heading for the bandits at full tilt, his buffalo crashing along beside him and his long bladed spear spining in his hand to slice through the first bandit he meets!

Terry clenches his hand around the hilt of his blade as he waits for the bandits to near. He slinks out when he sees an opportunity, using his small size to remain concealed for as long as possible until he can get close enough to one of them. There, he again takes advantage of his small size by going for the thigh of one of the assailants, wanting to disable him.

Cary picked up one of their vials, trying to pinpoint the bandit who was ordering the others around. This one's contents looked rather powdery as it was filled with sleeping powder. The dino didn't have many other ways to defend himself other than throwing these vials but something felt.. A bit odd and inspiring about them.

Rodian whistles again and his crusher tramples towards the bandits, intent on crushing the first one it comes across. Another whistle and his twirligig circles around the corgi, protecting him from any that get close. He tosses the disc at the closest wagon, the Divine Shield springing to life to cover it.

Galve is on alert as an arrow buries itself into the wagon next to where he was sitting. He ducked down to avoid any more arrows before taking aim at one of the bandits with his pistol.

Shliek stands his ground and nocks another bolt, aims and fires at the approaching horde of bandits. He keeps repeating the process until they are close enough to engage in melee.

And the fight is on! Fenris manages to catch one of the bandits in the chest, and while Terry isn't sneaky about it at all, he takes another down as the thug laughs at the Ocelot's size. Who's laughing now? While Rodian's Crusher tramples onto the scene, causing mayhem of its own, Galve's shot embeds itself in a bandit's leg, sending him tumbling down the slope and into a heap on the ground. Schliek's shot narrowly misses one of the thugs, but keeps them on their toes. Another volley of arrows fly through the sky, raining down on the Freeswords and guards; one such guard going down from a lucky arrow. Cary and Rodian are luckier, in the fact that they don't die from the arrows suddenly protruding from them.

The wolf in charge grabs one of his cohorts, tugging them into the path of the oncoming vial before sliding down the slope himself. "Come on, meat! Just give us the cargo and no one..." he says, stepping on the fallen guard and grinning cruelly, "...else has to get hurt. Maybe."

Fenris leaves his mount to trample as she pleases, knocking aside arrows and tumbling forward acrobatically, showing surprising dexterity for such a large being. The tiger starts to laugh, long and loud. It is really incredibly unnerving. He decides that it is time to ignore the rank and file bandits and turns his attention to the leader, whipping his spear about in dizzying patterns as he charges toward the scarred wolf!

Terry finishes off the thug he had disabled with a follow-up stab to the neck, ensuring he's down and out. The small ocelot looks around the battlefield, stained with the blood of his first kill. He picks out another target and dashes at that being, taking an acrobatic leap as he goes for the throat.

After being hit by an oncoming arrow right in the middle of their chest, Cary falls back inside the wagon with a loud thud and a screech. The dino picks up one of his vials, a potion this time, quickly swallowing its liquid content. Slowly, the ankylosaurus tries to recover from the wound, ignoring the arrow for a little while as trying to remove it now would be too painful.
