Another wonderful morning at the Freesword's inn, or at least, that's what it should be. Instead, the place looks rather abandoned, save for a distressed coat wearin' lion frantically pacing about on the floor, occasionally looking under tables, chairs, and other places that objects manage to slip their way into. In the back, the morning shift bartender shakes his head from side to side, idly cleaning glasses and waiting for someone to help him out.

Shirokami enters the inn, tilting his head slightly at the site of the frantic lion, blinking a bit at the scene before him " Eh, whats goin' on here? You lose somethin'? Or just gone crazy?"

Sveta arrives, in the inn, hoping for a drink of clean water away from the heat and dust of the craft school. She'd intended to play her violin today, but such things are quite impossible with only the use of one arm, and the chaos and disarray hits her like a sledgehammer to the head, Dio being the epicenter of it all. "I...what? Dio? Stop that this instant!" She marches forward between the seats, intent on putting a stop to this tomfoolery.

Ryusho mrphs quietly as he comes down from upstairs with a yawn, as he rubs his head slightly, "What in the world is going on, all the activity this morning got me up, not to metnion the racket you are making..and were making a little bit ago.." he says with a slight grumble to himself and another yawn, though at least he had been awake enough to remember to get dressed before coming out to see what in the world was going on.

Tzerya comes down from her room with a tired look in her eyes, having just woken up and wanting something to eat. Raising a bit of surprise at Dio, her ear droops, "Something wrong?". Standing at the bottom of the stairs, she looked at the others who were gathering, then to the lion.

The lion continues to torment the building with his frantic searching, the chairs now certainly in a large amount of disarray and tables pushed out of pattern in an annoying fashion to those who enjoy their peace of structure and symmetry. When Shiro comes in, Dio stopped his search temporarily and rose up from flipping over a table. "I..." And then Sveta comes in, making the much older feline shrink down as if he were a guilty child. Well, at least help had finally arrived. "Gather 'round lad's in lassies," he says, gesturing towards everyone to come closer to his person, if they could stand the smell that is. "My pendent! Someone took my pendent while I was sleepin'! Or at least, I think they did. I was quite drunk at the time ya see..." And indeed, as one looks upon Dio's neck, there is no pendent to be seen.

Shirokami tilts his head as he chuckles a bit " Didn't lose it at some game, did ye? Well, what do you remember last of it?" he shakes his head slowly " And I think I can sme... Er.. See just fine from here for the time being.." his ears twitch atop his head, half-lowered

Sveta scowls, walks up and jabs Dio in the ribs. "Sit down and be quiet, Lion of Frantic Gestures - you have a day before anything serious happens to you. Knowing you, have you looked in your pockets? Your coat? Your mane? Or did you eat it by accident? No, seriously - where did you see it last?"

Ryusho shakes his head slowly, "Indeed, Where did you last see it is the best question, as that would help find it." he says after a moment, "Other then 'Arround your neck" since of course that much is obvious, we mean where is the last time you saw it -around- your neck..."

Tzerya tilts her head and sighs softly at Dio's blight. Walking closer, the rabbit seems to look him over before taking a sudden step back, her nose twitching in reaction to his smell. "Indeed, bet you could lose pretty much anything in that mane of yours. Though you sure you didn't just leave it next to where you were sleeping?".

After getting jabbed in the ribs, Dio lets out a short 'oof' noise and quickly takes a seat that's been so lovingly scattered just near his position. "Well I'll tell ya what 'appened. So the bartender like me so much, he decided to give me some free drinks! An' you think I would refuse a kind gesture? I think not! I was drinkin' and drinkin', then things got a little hazy, an' then I woke up in my room without my pendent," he exclaims, rising out of his seat and then sitting down once more. "I've checked everywhere! I don't know where..."

The morning bartender, an orange furred and lanky monkey of sorts, puts down the glass he was cleaning and sets it aside. "Good... Are you the lion's friends or something," he says in a surprisingly high pitched voice. "I think I have something that may help you out. When I took my shift this morning, I was given this strange note." After digging around for a bit, the monkey pulls out a piece of parchment and begins reading out loud. "Ahem! It would seem you have lost your pendent in a drunken stupor. A silly lion you are, but fret not. We have a few tasks for you to complete and you shall receive what you've been searching for. You're a lazy man, we can tell, so we've made them quite easy. First, head over to the academy and enter the vacant studio room we have labeled. Do not worry, no one lives there. You shall receive your next clue upon entering the location."

With that, the monkey sets the note down on the table if someone wishes to grab it and looks at the group longingly, as if he were begging them to help out.

Shirokami tilts his head at the 'clue' as it is read " That sounds quite interesting... Perhaps it is a trap?" he looks to the others curiously, as if pondering their thoughts on it

"I wouldn't call him just a friend. More like a bottomless pit on legs." Sveta thumbs at the note with her usable hand. "All right, this is quite ridiculous, and White Wolf here is quite right. Unless you really have some sentimential attachment to the thing and must follow through with these inane demands from who knows where, my suggestion is that we march you out of here, get a fresh pendant from the Freeswords', and I'll start lessons with you to not drink so much out in public."

Blinking curiously as she tries to peek at the clue, ears wiggling, "Not sure if I know him well enough for friend, but may as well say that.". Looking to Sveta, Tzerya shakes her head, "Don't say things like that, it's the point of the matter. Thieves should be toasted and roasted.". Snapping her head back to the wolf with a grin, "It may be a trap, but all that means is they have an advantage...nothing more or less.".

"It could be a trap, but..." Dio bounces his feet up and down on the wooden floor, creating loud and annoying tapping sounds. "An' the pendent does mean a lot to me! Someone gave it to me an'... It's not important! I'm goin'!" And like that, Dio sprints his way out of the building at top speed, probably heading straight for the academy in question.

Meanwhile, the monkey happily hands over the note. Seems rather normal for the most part. Not too fancy handwriting and probably written by your everyday commoner. "Friend or not," he says to the group in a somewhat hushed tone. "Please keep the lion on track." Every part of his facial expression begged for assistance, looking quite true to his word.

Shirokami blinks as Dio seems to freak out a bit, and wanders after him, apparently holding his breath when Dio wanders past him however! And follows him from as lack a smell a distance as he can, taking in deep breaths now and then and coughing or choking slightly

Sveta shakes her head at Dio's departure. "Foolish fool fooling follibly in folly..." she looks to the others and sets out the door - Dio's personal fragrance isn't hard to follow. "I think there might be a natural herbal remedy for his affliction, or quite possibly there's no medcine that can cure him. Well, I'd better get to making sure he's safe and around. Someone has to keep their head screwed on right."

Tzerya follows behind Shirokami, her nose still twitching as she tries not to breath in the smell of the lion. "Indeed, let's see what we can take care of.". Wiggling her ears, the rabbit follows the wolf, following the lion.

As the group departs, the monkey yells something at them. "Trust me! You'll understand!"

Tracking down Dio was a very simply task for those who had the sense of smell, nearly impossible to miss. Beings walking around in the streets doing their innocent and daily tasks scattered and made way for the stinky lion, making a very modest path for those who followed. Within a few minutes, everyone finally makes it to the academy and the studio in question, labeled with a giant up arrow.

In front of the door, Dio pants and puts his large hands upon his knees as he catches his breath, not in the best of shapes considering his hangover and the whole not having his pendent thing. "Now... Now for the next clue." Without taking a moment to search for traps, he opens the door in haste and then... CRASH. A full bucket of water splashes upon the lion, the bucket itself slamming and clamping onto his head and causing him to tumble to the floor. Meanwhile, a note falls on the floor as well while Dio writhes around in shock and pain.

Shirokami looks at Dio and supresses.. Or tries to supress.. A chuckle as the water falls onto Dio, and turns away before walking slowly off, his body quivering from the chuckling a bit " Guess it was a trap after all.." he laughs softly

"I suppose he needed that, after all. Guess the smell got a bit too much for someone out there. A little extreme, but nothing that wasn't justified - I meant I cooked up some citrus oil for him, and he drank it..." Sveta steps up to Dio, take ahold of him by the mane and gives him a look over, kicking away the bucket as she does so. "Pfft. That won't leave any more than a bump on your head. Worst thing that could happen to you is you catch a chill from that water, you big lug. Come on, stand up, you'll be fine."

Seeming to stiffle a laugh as the lion becomes drenched, Tzerya, nods to the Shiro, "Yeah, was a trap, but I don't think that hurt him all that much.". Chuckling, she points to the note, "There's the next clue~"

In Dio's defense, it was a rather large bucket. After all, he did have a pretty big head in both the physical and mental sense. He continues to wiggle on the floor, spitting out water while inside the bucket and grunting a bit as his mane is pulled, eventually free to see the light. "But that hurt lass..." What a whiner. But, there were more important things! A note! The lion snatches up the fallen note and begins reading it out loud. "We thought ya could use a little somethin' to wake ya up from yer hangover. Ya should watch what ya- I'm not gonna watch what I drink. I ain't readin' that part.- Yadda yadda yadda, go visit yer local soapmaker 'n' take the bucket too. It shall serve ya well."

Throwing the note to the ground, Dio picks up the bucket and begins heading out the door. "Ya 'eard the note, lassies! We gotta get to that soap maker lady's place down at the market. Ya know the one..." Once again, Dio sprints out of the room and straight for the market place.

Shirokami smirks as he shakes his head, and looks to the others as Dio runs past them " Seems some sort of hunt.. Water.. Soap... I think I know where this is leading now." he chuckles softly as he begins off in the direction the note mentioned

"My dear Lion of Patent Obliviousness, I think it's quite apparent that..." she stops mid-sentence and laughs, beginning to follow Dio's wet trail. "Yes, yes, White Wolf. I think we should allow him to continue on his merry hunt for the moment. Of course, we shall be around to observe, shall we not?"

Tzerya snickers as she hears the soapmaker clue, moving to follow after the others with a wiggle of her ears before pausing to pick up the note, just in case there was more clues it could provide later. "Mmm, hope there is some nice smelling soaps."

Again, the group has no trouble in following Dio's stinky wake. Not only that, but he was dripping quite a bit from his soggy mane. "'ere we are..." A rather nice looking and humble shop. Without even entering, one may smell wonderful and floral scents flowing from the building, inviting and calling one inside. Slowly, he opens the door. No trap this time it would seem. Finally, he steps inside, brining the attention of the store owner. A female skunk. "Oh deary.. Oh my," she rambles, approaching the group. "This... I... Just please, take some soaps and herbs around the shop and return them to the counter and we'll get you sorted out. Please!" Dio, having no experience in such things, holds out his bucket towards the group and twists his head, still not sure what's going on.

Sveta shrugs and mumbles to everyone else. "So long as he gets clean, I don't really care. I mean, he's usually smart enough to figure things out...well. Best not to interfere, although I really should get this down for posterity." She draws out a small sheaf of papers from the pocket of one of her work clothes and starts scribbling.

Shirokami tilts his head as he looks about the area, shaking his head slowly " Well, then. Guess you best make a choice.. Pendant, or soap!" he chuckles softly

Entering the shop, the rabbit cocks her head with a wide grin, "Ohh, what a lovely smell.". Almost snickering at the skunks reaction, she nudges Dio towards several of the herbs and soaps. "Ohh, you'd smell so delicious with this."

With no one making suggestions and detecting the lion's ineptitude, the skunk frantically paces around the store and gathers up various soaps and herbs into her hand, clenching them close to her chest. In a rush, she dumps them all in Dio's bucket with a satisfying clank and practically drags him towards the counter. "'ey, what's the big rush? What're we buyin' these fer anyways?" Grumbling, the lion takes out a few coins from his pocket and puts them on the counter.

Giving Dio a once over after their transaction, she hands him a note, which he promptly reads and nods his head. "That's 'er handwritin'. The only one I trust with this... Keep it safe." Suddenly, he begins shrugging off his coat, which still seems quite stained from his blood at the bottom despite washing. "Hope you can get that cleaned up! An' I ain't takin' off my shirt either!" His linen shirt underneath was still quite ripped and torn in various locations, in dire need of repair.

With a slight grumble, the skunk lady pulls out something from behind the counter. A few large sticks with sponges attaches to the end, one with a note at the end. "Take these dearie. Someone left them here this morning."

Shirokami blinks at the sticks, and grabs the one with the note, reading it over curiously, before passing it to the others to look over, with a slight confounded look on his features

Dio spends 50 Crown to: Lots and lots of soap and fine smelling herbs.

Sveta nods and grabs a stick, knowing full well what's up, and long overdue, too. Perhaps if she'd had some notice, the goshawk might have attempted to distil a few fragrant oils to add to the mix...but one does with what one can get. Sure, it might be tomfoolery, but at least this one has a definite purpose to the ongoing madness.

Tzerya wiggles her ears at the stick, reaching out and taking one with a smile. "Hmm, Interesting.". Grinning, the rabbit turns to the lion, then to the other two, things were going to get fun.

Dio takes an available stick and looks at it for a few moments. "What 're we gonna do with this even? Fight? I suppose that would be funny..." At the edge of the sponge stick lays a note, which Dio promptly rips off and reads. "Ya finally made it! Take yer new supplies 'n' head out to the river. You will find what ya seek there. Good luck." The lion balls up the note and tosses it on the floor. "Get ready fer a fight lads! Perhaps the most dangerous battle we've seen yet." And again, Dio runs out the door and begins making his way to the local river in haste!

When Dio departs however, the skunk gets closer to the group. "Try to get him to remove his shirt dearies. I tried, but it seems he didn't want to run around town without a shirt! I though he wouldn't mind, but... Well I'm sure you know what to do. Once you get there... Convince him to take off his shirt and give him a fine cleaning. FOR EVERYONE."

Shirokami's ears twitch as he looks to the skunk with a tilt of his head " Us?... Thats what we're here for? To clean a cat afraid of water?" he chuckles softly " Oh, this will be fun indeed! Any suggestion how to coax him for it?"

Sveta clicks her beak in her usual no-nonsense manner. "Shirt or no, I think the river will do the job just fine. Thank you for your help in this, by the by. I've been trying to convince him for weeks now." With that, she turns and stalks out the door, sponge-stick in hand.

Tzerya rolls her eyes as Dio dashes out to the nearest river, the rabbit turns to the skunk, giving her a light nod. "Yeah, it'll be a bonus for us all.". Looking to Shiro with a snicker, she ponders on the options, "Hmm, mathemagic...just take it off without having to...take it off.". Slinging the sponge on a stick over her shoulder, she casually follows the scent of the lion.

"I'm sure you'll figure it out. Off you go dearies!" The skunk goads the group out of the shop with a gentle wave as they soon follow behind Dio and his trail.

Eventually, the group reaches the river and the pendent is in full display. On the other side of the river is a pole, angled to hold what would seem to be Dio's pendent over the river. "There it is!" The lion shouts and immediately puts the bucket full of soaps and herbs down upon the floor, along with his sponge stick. "It seems close enough to grab, lads. Ya just gotta watch my back 'n' I'll snatch it. Sound good?" Logically, one could use math or simply go around the river and dig up the pole to grab the pendent that way. However, he wasn't thinking logically, and this would provide a wonderful opportunity...

Shirokami smirks a bit as he looks from left to right... Before he wanders up to Dio, and pushes him into the river, careful to make it seem an accident " Whoops. Sorry, thought I'd try to help get you closer, but I slipped" he looks to the others with a nod

Well, nothing for it now. One-handed as she might be, simple fury and Dio's bulk are enough for Sveta as she upends a good half of the soap bucket onto Dio. "Now, don't eat this!" she yells at him. "Sure, there's fat in it, but there's also lye, nd you definitely don't want to be eating it if you know what's good for you!"

Tzerya laughs as she watches Shiro shove the lion into the river, making a quick step over, the rabbit splashed into the water, moving to take off his shirt before Sveta dumps the soap onto him. Successful or not in the shirt removal, the bunny grins before taking her sponge-stick and scrubbing it against Dio.

Dio makes his way to the river and turns his back to the group, "Don' wanna get wet now..." It would seem that the lion didn't need much convincing, if at all. With a tug at his shirt, he pulls it up over his head and drops it to the ground. On his back is scar upon scar, a rather dense sea of various size and depth. It would seem that there's a rather large scar going diagonally across his back, taking up the entirety of the horizontal length. Strangely enough however, is a tattoo of sorts. But not ink. On his left shoulder is the word 'END', probably cut in using a sharp instrument.

He reaches over to try and grab the pendent but he soon finds a hand upon his back, pushing him into the river. "H-Hey!" He shouts out in vain, soon surfacing and hanging on the edge of the river, reaching out a hand for assistance. "What was that fer? Help me up wo-" And then he's assaulted by the barbaric, evil, nasty, cleaning group, causing him to grumble and grip harder against the river's edge, not reacting to being sponged around his body. "I see what's goin' on..." he mutters under his breath, pouting as he's cleaned. It seems to be working rather well, considering the black unknown flowing from his body and into the river.

Shirokami smirks as he assists the others in scrubbing the feline with the spongy stick, and shakes his head slightly " I think this is what was intended for you all along.. The citizens of the city plotted against your smell."

"Most satisfactory," Sveta says before upending the rest of the soap onto Dio. "Considering how much you eat at the inn, I'm not surprised that someone actually took the time to go to these lengths just to keep you clean. I was actually considering getting honey on you earlier on the beach to finally convince you to take a bath, but it seems this works just as well."

Laughing as she watches the lion pout, a small nod in agreement with Shiro as they soap, lather, scrub and clean Dio. "Heh, could be worse, I was going to get your way to drunk and just pay some people to wash your. Though, I must say, this was far more enjoyable and somewhat cheaper."

The blackness built up by... Who knows how long of not bathing continues to pour into the river, the source being quite obvious. Truly, it would take a master alchemist to determine just what exactly made up such a concoction. But then again, does anyone really want to know? Eventually, the flow stops and along with that...

WHERE'S THAT SMELL? It... It's gone... Dio's retched stink had finally disappeared into the great unknown, replaced by a pleasing floral scent. In fact, he may be the best smelling person around at the moment! Still grumbling and pouting, Dio reaches up and snags the pendent hanging above him. It seems to have something written upon it as well. 'BEGINNING', crudely inscribed by what was probably a knife at some point. After a few coughs and a violent shake of his mane, he drags himself out of the water and onto the grass. "There now, got what ya wanted," he pouts, crossing his arms over his broad chest. His chest also has quite the story, similar to his back. A large scar runs through the middle of his chest, quite deep and surrounded by many other scars. More curious is what seems to be what was previously an arrow wound in his heart. "Hmph!" His mane is quite frazzled and frizzy, but overall, the lion is quite clean and free of dirt and other business!

Shirokami shrugs lightly and chuckles " I think it's what -everyone- wanted, dear sir.. As they would not have planned this so well, if it were not.. Starting with the drinks the bartender gave you for free."

Sveta mutters and helps Dio out of the river. "I pity the fish, my dear Lion of Rank Uncleanliness. I truly do, and the people who are going to eat what's caught out here today...hopefully it'll get to the bottom of the sea soon enough, although please don't expect any eel soup from my for at least a week or two. I don't know who planned this, but won't deny that participating in it was a sight to behold."

Tzerya nodding with satisfaction to the other two cleaners, the bunny looks over the lion once more before taking in a long sniff. "Don't fret over it...Tell you what, I'll buy you some drinks and I promise that you'll wake up with everything this time.". Shaking herself off a bit as she gets out of the river, her thoughts quickly went to wanting to return to the inn.

Dio turns his head towards the sky and lets out another "HMPH" in a child-like fashion. "Damn right I'm gonna get drink' again." The lion bends down and picks up his ripped shirt, carrying it under his shoulder and walking off in the direction of town, pouting the entire way there. In his wake, he leaves behind a trail of smells, but this time... Floral, nice, sweet.
