Lots of sweeping, tons of it, the square made to look spotless for the festivities. A noble wedding! Don't see one of them every day. Lots of beings around, some from the noble houses, some from more common and humble surroundings. Mirana herself stands in the center of the square, waiting her beloved to show up. She is in a large flowing dress, but it does little to hide the fact that this is... almost an 11th hour wedding. She looks toward the sun, excited as could be. Lots of mumbling and murmering from the guests.
Having been getting ready all day and been somewhat nervous all day as well, Ictus arrives, he walks over to Mirana with a smile and dressed in a tuxedo as he looks a little fidgety in it too
Once Ictus arrives, a rather large being, much larger than the two foxes steps out with an assistant. A rather familiar being, dressed in a ceremonial silver breast plate, glossed and shining in the sunlight. Wearing a brightly colored robe underneath as she smiles down to the two. She proceeds to clear her throat, everyone still settling in as Kiall'a begins to speek, taking a breath in to allow her voice to carry, "We are here today to bond these two, Honored defenders of the city, and the crown. Noble beings of House Solacious. Both members of the Lightbringers." making sure to adjust her voice if she needs to be louder or softer...
Shaytalis sits with the other guests, having no particular connection to either of the families but curious about the little festival. And of course, Ictis being another white kitsune makes it of interest to her. She keeps quiet and smiles lightly as she observes.
Amelia leans on her staff, watching with a smile on her face. She'd been out of town, but something like this definitely warranted coming back for. "What a wonderful day this is! I love lifebondings. Much better than giving departure speeches."
A wedding! And a noble one at that too! And where there are noble celebrations, there is sure to be food, drink, and other wonderful things for a silly traveling commoner lion like Dio to enjoy. He'd never been to a wedding before, but he assumed fancy type of attire was the appropriate thing to wear. However, he continued into the center with his typical coat and obviously recently groomed mane to the best of his abilities, which weren't much considering how frizzled it seems in areas. He tried his best! The food would wait until after the proceedings, as he quietly shuffles in and takes a seat, crossing his legs with a smile towards the soon to be bonding pair.
Ryusho would slowly make his way to the area, being quiet, respectful as he tries to find an out of the way place to stand, though, if he could he would be representing the house he had been a part of, but, the house is no more..so instead he is just a friend who is close, and used to be something more then a good smith, though he has been friends with Ictus since his arrival, when he had gotten help starting his smithing career...so he had to come and at least be a part as he could by viewing at least...and respecting it.
Mirana smiles widely as Ictus arrives, and reaches over to him, but... "Keep it proper Mira..." she says to herself containing her love for her soon to be lifebonded. She smiles out to Dio, Shay, and Amelia, but waves Amelia up to her, "Please! Won't you help with the cerimony sister?" she says and turns to Kia as she starts. She is shocked that her cousin is the one to marry her, absolutely shocked, but happy. All around are verious foods, drinks, everything one could imagine! Whomever was courting who spared no expense for this!
Ictus nods to Kia as she begins and smiles at Mira, his senses are tingling as Shay arrives but he only has eyes for his very soon to be bonded. He looks over the crowd though and smiles more as he spots friends as well as family, he would wave to them but as the ceremony has started he knows he shouldn't. He can barely believe he is bonding to his cousin as well, but is joyful that he is, "Happiest day of my life."
The enormous wolfess makes a sweeping gesture of the crowd with a smile, "Is there any other family in the audience?" she asks more directly to Ictus and Mirana. She places her paws at Mira and Ictus' backs, but does not touch them just yet with a smile as she looks down at them to listen for their answer.
Shaytalis smiles, wondering faintly if she counts as family to Ictus. She looks about the room casually to assertain if anyone responds to the hail.
Amelia adjusts her glasses and approaches the stage with a nod. "As you wish, sister." The collie takes up a position near Kialla, but doesn't make any move to speak. She figured her fellow priest had that covered well enough, so she just stood there, smiling at the crowd.
Would it be better to sit-down or to stand-up? Don't those fancy nobles have politeness rules for these sort of things? Dio decides to stand for the time being as he looks around and notices everyone else doing so. His hands smooth over his coat and give it a solid tuck as he looks over the the proceedings with a grin. Though the mention of family does cut the smile down just a bit on the poor orphan, but it's hardly noticeable.
Ryusho would rumble softly as he looks, though he was standing, he was sure he could find a place to sit, but still, he stays out of the way with his size, but he does smile softly, as he is glad to see that his good friend is getting to be with one he loves, and shall be life bonded too, even if he had seen them first in a much more...dangerous situation before this...
Leian wanders slowly into the area, tail swaying behind her as she looks about at the gathering, ears flicking atop her head a bit before she finds herself leaning against a pole and watching quietly at the proceedings
Mirana sighs softly and smiles as both of her parents stand up, Ictus' as well, very pround of their kits. Some light applose for them. Mira is beaming with pride and listens intently to Kia as she talks. She reaches out towards Ictus' hand and smiles. She whispers an 'I love you' to him. She smiles to everyone out there, and bows her head softly, crying gently. Never before she has been this happy.
Ictus nods to Kia as his at that and smiles as Amelia steps up to help with the ceremony, "Thanks Amelia." he looks over the crowd again and smiles to each of his friends, Ryusho, Dio. Leian gets a nod as she arrives as well. He smiles as his parents stand and applaud. He's beaming happily himself and looks to Mira with a reply of, 'I love to too.' mouthed as well
Kialla smiles as she nods out to the family members, offering a gentle coo. "It is not often, we see two nobles bond, a rare event in its own right. A fertive day in many ways." She turns, nodding to Amelia with a smile; she takes what the assistant that came out with her was carrying, a silk rope. "As I bind your hands, it is but a symbol of your lives, already bond fast together, your souls progressing in blissful harmony." she recites, leaning down to start binding one wrist to another, "There will be arguments, there will be anger, but they will only hone your love, not break it. You will have understanding, and there will be peace and fulfillment." She again recites as she takes a gentle step back after securing their wrists together.
Amelia smiles brightly as she watches, ears perked and tail wagging. Wonderful day indeed! She leans on her staff, her free hand idly toying with the hem of her sleeve.
Dio peers at the lovely metaphorical display with high interest, smiling as the are bound together, both physically and by soul! A rather curious adventure, he thought, binding your self to another being, but perhaps he simply doesn't understand. He'd hate to be rude, but it's been at least two hours or so since he last ate... His eyes shift over towards the buffet, and he soon begins reeling over in his head if it'd be rude or not to just suddenly get up and eat, bouncing a little in his place. Maybe... Maybe a few more minutes...
As their hands are tied, they parents sit back down, both nodding to each other knowingly. Mira blushes and continues to cry softly, licking her lips and looking at Ictus. She nods softly. In the back, a pair of new arrivals. They walk around, taking seats, and watching the cerrimony exceptionally closely. They eye the couple very closely, and whisper to each other. Mira is oblivious to the new arrivals, looking only at her now Lifebond.
Ictus hmms at Kia as his wrist is tied to Mira's and smiles as he grips her hand in his. He hopes there won't be many arguments at that but murrs happily as he moves to give a kiss to his lifebond, "I love you, Mirana, and I always will." he smiles as he only has eyes for his lifebond and mate right now, not noticing the new arrivals either
Kialla gives a nod to them both when they kiss, clearing her throat again, "Now you are bonded, Let any that would speak against it, speak now, or forever hold your peace." she gives, looking upon those gathered in the audience as no doubt everything goes very quiet...
Amelia pushes up her glasses, peering around the crowd to see if anyone would speak up. No one ever does, in her experience. Her eyes settle on the two new arrivals, but do not linger. Or at least they appear not to, as she turns to look back at the crowd in general. She keeps the arrivals in her line of sight. She was still a bit on edge after the last attempts on Mira's life. Of course, she tries not to keep her eyes off of anyone in the crowd. Anyone could be a threat.
Ryusho slowly would shift, glancing towards the new arrivals when they first arrived but as they..seemed to be paying such close, detailed attention to the ceremony, he seems to begin to shift, as in the back of his mind, the survivalist in him that had developed is beginning to scream warnings at him as he shifts, though, he does not make any move for his weapons,e ven though he -almost- does and stops himself before he actually does, though his body is on -high- alert now just...because the situation seems off to him in relation to the, though his body has become tensed up somewhat...literally ready to move at a moments notice if need be...
From what he's seen before, the two seemed like a lovely couple! However, the urge and compulsion to get just a tiny taste of that buffet was growing deeper. Oh my, but how awkward it would be to move during the intense silence... Just a taste, really. Dio begins to shuffle his way around over to the buffet of food, preparing his own lifebond as he slowly picks up a piece of food and stuffs it into his mouth.
Leian's ears fold atop her head as she watches the two newcomers whispering between eachother, a deep worrying frown falling on her muzzle as she pushes herself from the pole and began to slowly walk closer to them, to see more about them
Some of the crowd gives Dio a sharp look as he eats from the buffet, but things were nearly over anyway. None say a word of objection, and Mira leans in to kiss Icuts... a big deeply for a public setting, but she'd been holding back this whole time. Hands tied together, holding her loving todd. She couldn't be happier. Out in the audiance though, the pair smiles as they work out their plan, and sit back to wait.
Ictus glances out at the crowd nervously as if expecting someone to speak up and smiles as no one speaks up. Though he eyes Dio as he eats from the buffet he chuckles a little. As he is kissed though, he misses that Ryusho looks tense and was reaching for his weapons, though he murrs into that kiss and noses a little into it
"Then, as proxy for the Good King, and under the rules set fourth by the first text, i declare you bond. May all know you two are now one." gives Kiall'a, taking a look at the two, Ryusho does distract her for a moment however. The ceremony finished as she trails her eyes to where Ryu had been looking so intently, if not at the wedding itself...
Amelia pulls up her ever-present book and flips it open, as if to read from it. In truth, she's using it to hide the fact that her mouth will be moving as she leans back, lowering her voice. "Mirana... Do you still have those gadgets on hand? There may be a problem. Two individuals speak of bounties, and I can only assume that it is one or both of you that they speak of. I wish to avoid a scene on such a happy day, but you must be warned." That said, she puts her finger to the page, as if following a specific line and makes a show of having found what she was 'looking for' and snaps the book shut.
A few daggers fall into Dio's back, though not the physical stabbing type. Rather, the stinging eyes of of various questioning people prick onto his body, almost palpable. With a short cough, the lion inhales whatever food is left in his hands and brushes them off to begin clapping for the joyous occasion. This would hopefully take the attention off the ravenous lion! He looks around the crowd, glad to know that he was probably safe for now, but Leian's sudden movements catch his attention. Dio focuses upon the space between Leian and her supposed objective, wondering if those two new guests were anything to be weary of. Suspicious indeed! Slowly he begins making his way towards them, not really making a focus on stealth. If enough people dropped their attention on them, perhaps they'd try again another time...
Ryusho himself felt..that..approaching was a bad idea, because to make them consider another time, coudl either make them strike at a worse time, -or- pressure them to try to act anyway in fear as they were already caught as he stands where he was, but his positon shifts only enough to make readying himself faster, though his intent was defensive, not offensive, as he was watching and waiting to act..to protect and get in the way if needed to prevent their harm.
Leian closes slowly in on the two as she claps to the preceedings completion, appearing as less conspicuous of approaching them, as much as she may be merely approaching the couple, as she could, her ears perked atop her head slightly, somewhat at an angle however as she kept eyes on the hands of the two carefully
Mirana smiles again, kissing for what seemed like forever. When she finally lets go, her face fur is slightly matted from her happy tears and she pulls Ictus into a hug. The gathered beings clap wildly for the couple as Mira leads Ictus down to dance. The band gets into full swing now, and a few beings get up to the buffet tables. Mira holds Ictus close as she mostly sways instead of really dances, "I love you... thank you so much.. I ... I don't think I can.... express how..." and she just sniffles a bit as she holds Ictus closer and closer. The pair in the back get up with the rest of the people, not really noticing that they are being closed in on, they clap for the couple and seem to be walking up to congratulate them with everyone else....

She pushes some buttons, and mouths 'They are in my room at the inn, it will take time.' to Amelia. The band gets into full swing now, and a few beings get up to the buffet tables. Mira holds Ictus close as she mostly sways instead of really dances, "I love you... thank you so much.. I ... I don't think I can.... express how..." and she just sniffles a bit as she holds Ictus closer and closer. Ictus smiles as the kiss is kept and murrs into it, moving to wipe away those tears a little. Though he blinks at Amelia and nods as he keeps his smile on a bit longer as he looks towards the two. He hmms? at Mira and nods at that, "I know love, I love you with all my heart." as he dancers with her, though he really does the same as he makes sure to keep the two in the corner of his eyes
Kialla is done, moving down to the floor as Ictus and Mirana do the same. gesturing for Amelia to come with. She stays close, closer than most of the congradulators actually. Enough to be right next to them still as she smiles warmly around to everyone. Her eyes letting off a rather noticeable glow, however, watching the suspicious pair out of the corner of her eye. They'd be within grabbing distance if they came much closer.
Amelia follows Kia, tightening her grip on the staff, 'conveniently' moving herself between the couple and the approaching ones. She does her best to act like it was completely unintentional, though. "Congratulations, you two! I'm sure you'll both make loving parents!"
With all the people moving onto the strange pair, Dio figured that perhaps they overheard what he did as well. Maybe if he helped out a little, there would be a cake in his future, or maybe even some beef. Who knows? With the subtlety of an overloaded musket, the lion makes his way behind the suspicious pair and shouts between them, putting a hand on their shoulders. "What a party, isn't it lads," he yells in a booming voice.
Ryusho would of been moving idly, walking over 'calmly' as he has learned how to hide, as he seemed to of relaxed completely, though sometimes the easiest way to trick prey is to look like your unaware of their existance, as he walks by ...though..he can't help but -cringe- when Dio...makes such a blatant 'hey look over here' style thing by saying that so damn loudly.....
Leian's movements stop at Dio's sudden outburst and she frowns even deeper, ears folding upon her head as she watches the two nervously, reaching for the flute at her side, slowly, and pulling it up to herself carefully
Mirana continues to sway with Icuts for a while, then lets him go to shake people's hands, be pat, and have her belly rubbed more then once. More then a few shakes Ictus' hand, pat him on the back and whisper some less then savory things. Then she starts toward the buffet, always keeping an eye out. The pair are startled when Dio talks to them, and more then a bit aware they are being closed in on now. They look around and decide to try and play along, "Yeah... great party, friends of the groom.. or .. bride?" one of them asks. The make a few small movements, and look around nerviously. Mira smiles wide to Amelia and Kia, "Thank you both, so much for doing this for us." she says, taking a sandwich.
Ictus nods to Kia as she sticks by them and smiles at Amelia, "Thanks." though given the circumstances that could have more than one meaning. He looks to Dio as he shouts and chuckles as he eyes the two. He ponders a bit as he looks to Ryu and Leian, though smiles at them greatfully. At the congratulations he chuckles and nods as he thanks them, though blushes at the whispers with a grin
Kialla coos, "It was a surprise to me... but, i suppose there isn't a better gift i can give you than to actually be the priest, is there?" she teases at Mira gently as she remains closeby.
Amelia shakes her head. "You two are perfectly welcome. I am sorry that I have not been around, but I'm glad I was able to make it back to such a joyous event! Lifebondings are wonderful things, and I look forward to the future you two share!" She winks at Ictus. "You better treat her well!" A small laugh is given, and she adjusts her glasses. "But I'm sure you will, and you don't need me to tell you that."
"I try to be friends with who I can, lads!" Dio begins chuckling quite loudly, likely drawing plenty of attention with his booming voice. The hands upon their shoulders grab a just a little bit tighter. "Maybe we can be friends too, lads! I bet yer good drinkin' buddies 'n' all that wonderful stuff. In fact..." The lion looks around for a moment and waves an arm about to a nearby guard, nodding him over with a gesture. "In fact, there are other people I'd like ya to meet as well! Then we can all 'ave some cake together."
Ryusho slowly, just rubs his face, as he ..really..-really- needs to explain some of the finer poitns of -subtlety- to Dio he feels like as he sighs, and takes a deep breath, as this..really does not seem like a good idea in his mind to -be so blatant- and in his opinion, try to make them force their hand...
Leian's flute reaches her lips as she begins to play it, the wind around the patrons of the event begins picking up and growing heavy as the breeze grows into a stronger wind gradually, especially cenetered around the two suspicious visitors
Mirana munches on her sandwich as others congratulate her and Ictus and dig into the food. She wonders a moment if Dio will join them in the large buffet as someone guides her and Ictus over to cut the cake! She giggles a bit and takes the knife up to cut the first slice, sharing it with Ictus. "I.. I just.. thank you.. thank you all a lot." she says overwhelmed really with how many showed up and the gravity of it all. The pair gulp loudly, "Oh, no, that... that is ok Umm... Lion.. we should be going back to the inn." they say, making a break for it! But they don't get far before they run into Ryusho and Leian. Soon quite a few guests are looking at them and a pair of guards come up. "Is something wrong here?" they ask taking the pair by their arms. "Maybe we should have a word with these two." they say, and welcome Dio, Ryusho, and Leian to join them. Mira looks relieved and gets on with the festivities.
Ictus hmms? at the others as the corner the two layabouts and smiles at the others greatfully, "Thanks." as he cuts the cake with Mira and smiles at the continued congratulating, he looks at Kia and nods at that, "And thank you for doing our lifebonding." He'll make sure that those that kept the wedding peaceful will get a big slice of the cake themselves
Kialla gives a soft sign, smiling as she reaches to rub at Ictus' ears with a smile. "You're very welcome. I was glad to be of service, but even better to not be at the center of attention anymore." she gives with a coo.
Dio chuckles loudly with that wonderful baritone booming laughter once more and lets the pair slip away, laughing even harder as he notices them get swept up by the guards. "Yesir guards sir," he says, approaching the group with his typical happy-go-lucky smile. "These two said some interestin' things that I'm sure we'll all be 'appy to discuss down at the guard 'ouse." Before he leaves off with the guards, the lion takes one last longing look at the cake and frowns. That cake sure looked good, but justice calls...
Ryusho sighs softly, as he decides he will stay, they don't need his big dragon self getting in the way, but he does try to make a mental note to tell Dio what the definition of subtlety is...
Leian's ears twitch as she pulls down the flute slightly, tilting her head to the guards before approaching slightly " Alright. I'll come along. I would like to.. Learn more of these twos' plans after the ceremony, after all."
