Rime Lamprey

Although the rime lamprey's ability to absorb heat from its surroundings is similar to the fisk's, few would suggest that the two are related. Long and sinuous, the lamprey's many teeth deliver a powerful, chilling bite when it latches onto its prey, sapping its ability to react to the attack. While most beings are able to withstand the bite, the resulting loss of sensation within the affected limb has caused a number of drownings over the years.
