Phoenix (Sacred family)

Strength through renewing fire.

Location

To the west of Firmament, in the desert, is Firebough Mountain. After being deemed worthy by the elder, one can enter the Caldera and perform the ritual with 50 Lunars to awaken the power of the Phoenix.

Powers

Phoenixes are naturally capable with life. When they would normally be defeated, they erupt in a Fire Rebirth and return to the fight, while their Phoenix Flames protects them and permanently marks them as one of the Phoenix family.

Phoenixes may also purchase Phoenix Tears to gain access to the Raising Inferno power, which stems from the same source as their ability to revive themselves.

Thematic Information

When portions of the hostile universe are too deadly to send normal colonists to, the creators would sometimes enlist the aid of the phoenixes. Often working in partnership with dragons, they have terrific heat and 'Radiance' resistance, though their ability to weather cold and pressure is unremarkable. They appear to be avian born, with wings that have flame colored feathers. Many can use them for short ranged flight(See flight perk). Their most unique ability is to spring back from debilitating injuries in a great puff of heat and light without any external assistance.
