Nightwing

Vicious bat-like creatures with long tails that often live in mountain ranges, roosting in caves or outcroppings in hard to reach places and using their comparatively high mobility to swoop down and strike unsuspecting prey encroaching into their territory.

While in many areas they're considered little more than a nuisance, in their home in the narrow trails around Silvervein pass they become a considerable threat owing to the lack of mobility afforded by the region's terrain.
