Or try to talk him out of his vices. The latter isn't incredibly likely to work.

Foreign Noble

He's a member of the noble house Wirefur. He's not really in their good graces, though. He knows how to act like nobility, when necessary.
Officially, he was sent to Sweetwater for 'convalescence' and on 'extended leave' from the Elite Guard. In actuality, however, there is little
to no hope that it isn't a permanent relocation for him. After embarassing his house on a plethora of occasions, it has been made implicit that
that he's not welcome to return until further notice. He has next to zero standing or clout within his house, as a result.

Elite Guard

Before his 'issues', he was a member of the Elite Guard in service of Cliffside's libraries and academies. If there's money or interesting
alchemy involved, he might be willing to lend his sword arm to your cause.

Mathemagic

Though he was never officially schooled in the Divine Math, he's been around enough mages in his work that he's managed to glean a bit of
knowledge in the subject. He's entirely unable to use it without the aid of kevinscoping, however.
