Badlands Efreet

The unusual nature of Promise's lizard-like efreet often prompts interested scholars to examine them. Unfortunately, the efreet living in the plains are notoriously hard to study. The dust and stone around their home in the badlands seems to only add to their natural abilities to spray bits of rock of various sizes all around them before they scurry off.

It's hypothesized that they draw their energy from the dry winds and dusty soils of their home, but no one has ever managed to prove it, let alone find where they reproduce. And, much like their volcanic cousins, no dead specimens are ever found. All that prospective taxidermists are ever left with is a pile of crumbled chalk and a plume of dust.
