Alpine/Stereotypes

  • Courtier and performer Alpine is in touch with his feminine side and entertains not only very womanly body language but also a fairly shapely build- for a male. He dresses the part occationally, other times opting for just more form fitting gentleman wear. A side result of having worked as an actor and show dancer for quite a few years in a country to the east.
  • Disillusioned Most things that have to do with superstition, in particular unfounded rumors are not only a source of annoyance to Alpine, but also the kind of thing performers make good use of. On one hand, he doesn't get phased by gossip, on the other, he's a little wary of things like creators and any related talk.
  • Freeswords He will do work for them, just as anyone else, but has most of his experience of how to make a living with social pretending and craftsmanship, and thus tends to avoid what he views as potentially violent.
  • Soul Gems He has been warned to avoid them since he was little, even though his only real personal experience using them is not something he remembers a lot. The only thing he knows is that using them may lead him to hurt people he cares about, and therefore dislikes open use of them as a more cautionary measure.
  • Nobles He loves them, and he hates them. He's been hired specifically for shows for his exotic coat and the workplace he was studying at being less than reputable. They're great for income but he does not care for a noble's tendency to believe they are entitled to a little extra for being a patron on behalf of an audience.
  • Contract holders Tied in with the above. He does his best to separate professional relations from personal ones. Not only as a performer, but would probably transfer to sellsword and merchantile work, too. Often even, for a lack of better words, seducing clients into hiring him. The problem with this is that he's often very good at making people fall for his guiles.
