<div></div><br> <br>A dark back street, not the place one would expect an expo of sorts to be going on. But that is exactly what is happening. A cheetah goes about talking to on lookers, though they are few, with a few other felines about. They all have the same dark purple and black garbs on, almost like.. a coat of sorts. Though it is long and doesn't seem to be just for the weather. "Welcome, welcome, now. We are here to do what your priest would not, to truly understand these wonderful.. things." He says as he jestures to the tables holding boxes. In each glass box is a piece of crator tech! "Join with us, and we will endever to explain them to you too."<br> <br>Sierra looks around as she approaches the group, her golem following close behind. It's almost like she doesn't trust these sorts and the big hulking mechanical monster with a meathook is her way of alleviating those concerns. Stepping towards them, a quick gesture causes the Golem to hang back a bit as she says, "What's the catch then?" She asks while approaching<br> <br>Bite move into theh back street, the rumors having caught her attention, and tilts her head at the claims. The dress is pretty neat she decides, she'd have to ask where they got it, but for now she has technology to 'understand' as explained by these... wait. "Sssweeties that's all nice, but maybe you should tell us who you are, and where you got these? I'm not sure your expertise with something so powerful is something I'll trust enough to approach you."<br> <br>Most of the beings seem to look back to Sierra and Bite as they move up and ask their questions. The cheetah answers "My name is Billy, odd name for a cheetah, no?" He says as he gestures about some more, "And we found these, in the corners of the world, from the deserts to the forests, from the oceans to the great heights of the mountains. We call ourselves Creationists, and we work to understand these items, instead of just use them at some yet unseen 'Creator's will." They explain. "The catch, only one, you must keep our secret, just that, a secret. Join us, and you too can learn." He says with a grand wave of his hand.<br> <br>Sierra looks at the... cultists. Yeah that's a good enough term for now and says, "Again, what's the catch. A monthly donation of crowns? Buying your way to the top? Praying 42 Times a week to the horizon? There's always more with your sort, funny clothes aside"<br> <br>Bite tilts her head and nods. "And what purpose do you have beyond understanding them? If I may ask you to demonstrate your prowess at a safe distance, that no one will know you are lying? You are ini a back alley sssweetheart, this isn't a great place to... convert... people to join your cause."<br> <br>Billy looks at Sierra and smiles and then a smile for Bite as well, "Of course, you have questions, and questions are always good for understanding. But, maybe a different place would be a good idea." He looks about and says, "Ok folks, the general show is over for now, please pack up and head out, we will be here again soon!" He announces. Most of the general folk do leave, but two, a bat and a dalphan, stay around as well, "Oh are you two interested as well? Well come down come down, and all will get to see, but I do say one thing, no word of this leaves our little abode, none, understand?" All the creator items are packed up by the felines, and taken into an underground passage, unlocked and openned by Billy, hidden under one of the tables. "Enter, and your questions will all be answered."<br> <br>Sierra pose looks at the talky one and says, "Yeah yeah, lips sealed. This goes sideways and I'm letting Ripjack drag you through the streets though, yeah?" She looks to Bite and shrugs for a moment before adding, "You trust them in the slightest really? Might be better to wander off, getting that odd vibe and all"<br> <br>Bite squints and nudges Sierra as she moves to catch up, double checking her equipment as she whispers something to her, then nods and giggles. "Oh of course I trust them sssweetie, why would they lie to two pretty girls and take them down into their hidden abode?" she hisses and looks to the other two who stayed, eyeing them before proceeding behind theh lioness should they move forward. She has no intention of leaving their side in the company of an untold number of shadowy felines.<br> <br>The door wide open, and the artifacts transfered, Billy ushers everyone down, "Come in come in, quickly now." The bat and Dolphin move in quickly enough while Billy holds the door looking to Bite and Sierra, "The secrets won't wait forever, but you are welcome all the same." He says holding the door open for a time to let his guests in.<br> <br>Sierra glances over to Bite, shrugs and whistles, leading her golem along with her as they enter. The golem almost seems to watch Billy as it passes with it's heavy footsteps. Sierra is trying to be subtle about it, relying instead on the dark glasses she wears, but she still doesn't trust them at all.<br> <br>Bite follows the golem and feline inside, double checking herself and proceeding inside to see the "secrets" they have.<br> <br>Below and inside, torches light the large room. It is big enough to house many Heavy Clan beings but the lighting is fairly good from the many touches and overhead lamps. "Welcome one and all" Billy says as he claps his hands. From doors in the outer walls come four felines, a panther, a lion, an Australian Mist, and a tiger. In total, there are 6 doors. "Now, someone asked what it would take to be in our wonderful organization. Only a thirst for knowledge and the ability to look past some.... divine words from unknowable creatures that those with smaller minds would call 'Creators'. That, and an oath to keep secret what we have here." He says, "And someone else asked for a demonstration I believe! Perhaps this will do?" He walks to a door and goes through, the four others keeping an eye on things. Shortly he returns with a small pile of what looks like srap Creator Steel. However, with a push here, and a twist there, an interesting little mechanoid, much like a golem comes to life! "Behold! A defender. It may have been forged by these 'Creators' but we can control them now, their secrets becoming ours, to use as we see fit. Not at some whims of far off beings!"<br> <br>Sierra looks at the little scrap.. golem. She's creative, but lazy. "If your organization is so... high up, why are you working in the back alley of Mange Square then? I'm sure there are, issues of course. But, I would think if you could use them to their full extent, you'd be able to at least hold your own and be a little less. Shady." She then shrugs and steps back, taking a moment to check a joint on her golem. <br> <br>Bite tilts her head and giggles. "Sssweetie I'm pretty sure... that's not that impressive." she hisses and shakes her head, looking at the 'defender'. "I'm pretty sure I saw something called a defender moving alongside that one gifted." She sways a bit in place and hisses "What else have you got?"<br> <br>Billy smiles, "Oh, this little contraption not to your liking then? Maybe this would be more impressive." And he takes a moment to go retireve a small... hand cannon? No, it is even smaller! Pointing it at a wall, he pulls a trigger and a beam of light comes further from it, scorching and scaring the far wall. The other cats look to him in a bit of shock, "Now! Don't go showing them anymore impressive then that thing, they haven't taken an oath!" Says the Panther, and Billy nods, "I do apologise, getting a bit carried away." He says back. The Dolphin looks as if in shock, and the bat continues to watch with interest. "And as for why we are so secretive, lets just say our more... closed minded friends don't much care for us. I was once of their order, once in reverance for these things, thinking them divine articles from the Creator's themselves, like they were some kind of living things, but they are not, they are just tools, tools made by some being, that we now use ourselves." He explains.<br> <br>Sierra looks to the weapon, then at the small thing and finally at Bite. Then it's back to Billy and she says, "Neat. I don't like oaths though, especially not snap decision sorts. Tell you what, if I'm interested I'll leave a note somewhere. How's, "It's going to be a nice day if the sun doesn't blow up next" or something?" Stepping behind her golem, she leans against it and adds a bit more seriously, "Really though, I'll think on it"<br> <br>Bite tilts her head and looks over at the wall. "That's neat sssweetie but anyone can start a fire." she hisses, smiling a bit. "I do like your outfits though, and it might be nice to learn a bit more about some of the things I come across from time to time, what can you promise me in return for your secret?" she hisses and eyes the felines. "ANd what would this oath involve?"<br> <br>Billy scoffs a bit at Bite, "Fire? You think this some simple fire!? This is no 'divinte' math. This is a tool, some.. some kind of.. technology. I don't need to do some complex equation to make it work, only study it, learn about it, then, know how to read this turnyamjig and this trigger." He explains, getting more shushes from his fellow cultists, "Now now, I'm not sharing anything too advanced with them, this is all basic stuff to the Machine Priest orders." He says back "Now, as for what our oath requires, it is simple. Renounce the church, know that these items are just that tools, and turn your backs on these.. 'Creators' that so many cling to. Then, and only then, can the true nature of these wonderful devices be revealed to us." He says, then to Sierra, "It is your choice, if you want to join with us, but know, we will contact you... not you contact us..." He says with a smile that would make a small child cry. The Bat starts to look annoyed, while the Dolphin asks, "And... if we do.. renounce our ancestor's teachings... what would become of us?"<br> <br>Sierra looks over her shoulder, from under the Golem's arm and says, "I'll keep a pot going for you." She then gestures to Bite and says, "Good luck, I'm heading out. I've got work that needs doing. And a few new supports to work on I think"<br> <br>Bite tilts her head. "And how many of you are there sssweeties?" she quizzes, looking the felines over once more. "I have a few things to say but they can wait, I'll consider your offer as well. It seems a bit sudden, and you're asking a big tradeoff for what the church can currently offer the devoted, without the shady hiding and resentment. When you can offer more than the church can, then you might be able to get more followers. I'm not declining, we'll see what my answer is latere if you'll still have me." She shakes her head and moves to follow Sierra.<br> <br>With that final outrage the Bat speaks up. "Renoucne the church! Heathens!" And in a flurry of moment he starts to come toward the felines. As Bite and Sierra depart, just after getting out the door, it is flug closed, the Dolphin taken away while the chamber is filled with smoke. A few minutes later, the bat comes out the main door, caughing and gagging, "They're gone... but I'm sure they will be back.. For now, I must report back to my order about them," he says to the pair topside, "and you... snake, be careful of them, even talking to them, or you could find one of the many Churches of the Creators pointing their swords at you..." With that, he turns and takes flight, using his slight wings and some air math to do so.[[Category:RPLogs]]
