<div></div><br> <br>The clearing is alight with paper lanterns and festooned with Snowmark snowflakes! And since this is a Snowmark party, there are many long tables laden with food and drink! Really, the only thing to set it apart from any other society party is the host, who is currently off in one corner louding sharing embarassing stories. Also, a set of three, raised stages. Though no performers seem to have arrived yet.<br> <br>Walking slowly into the clearing, Thelergramor, for once not wearing clothes befitting a street urchin, yawns as he glances around. His clothes aren&#39;t particularly fancy, just common. Not torn, ragged or dirty. Just grey shirt, brown pants. Hands in his pants pockets, the wolf walks towards the host, looking quickly over those others who have arrived.<br> <br>Kalt humms happily as she makes her way into the party, dressed in a silky blue shirt with playful bright trim around it, and a pair of black pants along with a small satchel slung around her shoulder. &quot;Hmhmhm~ Well, M&#39;wonderin&#39; what&#39;s goin&#39; on with this party an&#39; all?&quot;<br> <br>Cassidy was wearing her fancier dress, today! The magnificently grand black one, with the ruffled white trim and the flair towards the bottom half, and the long, wide sleeves. It was a complicated outfit, certainly, but it still managed to go with the red-banded black tophat on her head. &quot;Ahh, I have been looking forward to this!&quot; She says with a little smile before toting her black case over towards the food table to get herself a meal. 

As promised before, Mishka was there, as well! Though dressed far less fancily, wearing a simple blue dress over her well-groomed fur. Naturally,  she was busying herself with drinks.<br> <br>Arriving alongside Cassidy, Natska is gressed in a long, deep blue evening gown. Her soul pendant is freshly polished and on display next to a silver amulet set with aquamarines, and her hair is done up in an intricate bun. She follows along to the table with Cassidy, smiling happily as she looks around at the guests.<br> <br>&quot;And he could never wear that hat again!&quot; Sven roars in laughter as he finishes his story. &quot;You must excuse Sven,&quot; he says to his society guests, &quot;He greets more guests!&quot; The burly puma swaggers about, dressed to the nines in a fine coat embroidered all over with snowflakes, its long skirts open to show off his expertly tailored trousers and northern style boots with their turned up tips. &quot;Welcome! Welcome!&quot; He calls as guests stream in, &quot;Come! Eat good food, drink fine drink! Tonight we are in Snowhame!&quot; He takes up a large leg of some kind of smoked poultry and waves it about dramatically. &quot;Sven promises entertainment starts soon!&quot; he points his meat at the three stages, &quot;This will be night for remembering!&quot;<br> <br>Thelergramor scratches one of his ears, looking towards the still empty stages. &quot;Soon? Alright then.&quot;  And with no further speech, the wolf looks over towards Cassidy and Natska. And Kalt. Then, heads towards the nearest source of alcohol with a slight wave and/or nod to each of them.<br> <br>&quot;Well! Go lookin&#39; who&#39;s wearin&#39; actual clothin&#39; today eh? How are you doin&#39; big guy? This entertainment ain&#39;t gonna be causin&#39; too much trouble an&#39; all will it now?&quot; Kalt grinning widely as her tail flicks behind her before she turns on a dime and bows to Cassidy and Natska. &quot;Good to be seein&#39; you folks too.&quot;<br> <br>Cassidy gives a polite nod towards Kalt. &quot;Yes, nice to see you, too! And yes, you&#39;re looking nice today, Sven! I look forward to seeing what entertainment you have planned today!&quot; A warm smile is flashed as she looks over towards Natska. &quot;Mmmh. The food is good today, love!&quot; She calls out as she prepares a little plate of things that she has decided that she enjoys. 

Mishka gives a little nod to Thel as he makes his way over towards the alcohol table.<br> <br>&quot;Good evening, Kalt,&quot; Natska says, nodding her head to the fox. &quot;I hope you are doing well.&quot; She smiles happily and tails along behind Cass, looking over the food; she doesn&#39;t take any yet, although she takes note of which items look and smell the best.<br> <br>A Snowmark feast is not something to be sneered at. There is food and drink of all kinds, the drink mostly alcoholic and potent. There is a Snowhame theme to uphold, after all. &quot;Hello, Pretty Kalt!&quot; Sven crows when the vixen addresses him, &quot;Sven is wearing his best party clothes!&quot; The puma leans forward conspiritorially, though his voice is easy to hear. &quot;Also, Anton is saying that Sven will not get dessert if he does not wear fine clothes that Lana makes!&quot;<br> <br>Thelergramor nods back at Mishka; then stops with all the alcohol. He grins, looks over all of it. &quot;...&quot; Speechlessness. The wolf snatches up a bottle of... Something. Didn&#39;t check what it was. Thel begins to drink heavily from said bottle; then takes it with him back towards them others. Others being, Sven and whoever he&#39;s currently talking to .<br> <br>Kalt snickers at Sven as she reaches out with her left hand to carefully give him a pat with the prosthetic hand. &quot;Aaaaw, now that&#39;s the reason why huh? Well, don&#39;t you go worryin&#39; I won&#39;t snitch on you if&#39;n things get crazy... Now! M&#39;starvin&#39;, an&#39; you&#39;re havin&#39; food m&#39;seein&#39;! So, what&#39;s the best of what now to go eatin&#39; eh?&quot;<br> <br>Cassidy chuckles softly and looks amongst the other guests. &quot;This is a nice way to spend our evening, I think!&quot; She says as she eyes the jaguar over before popping a piece of meat into her mouth. &quot;Hm. Not hungry?&quot; She asks, noting Natska&#39;s lack of food-getting. &quot;Very good, Sven! Thank you for hosting!&quot; She calls out.<br> <br>Natska gives her head a little shake. &quot;Not yet, at least.&quot; She claps her hands, and then gives Sven a small curtsey. &quot;Sven! Thank you for hosting this. It is always nice to get out, and I am looking forward to seeing what happens.&quot;<br> <br>Sven laughs, tearing into the large drumstick he has chosen for himself. &quot;Is all good!&quot; he grins, &quot;but Sven likes the juicy meats best!&quot; The hefty puma quickly polishes off his food, slams back a drink, then vaults up onto one of the three stages. &quot;Hello friends of Barbarian Sweetwater!&quot; the cougar cheers, &quot;Now is almost time of great Caldera martial tournament! For entertainment, Sven will have surprise tournament here!&quot; The burly feline carefully removes his fine coat and tosses it aside! &quot;Sven will take first turn!&quot; he shouts happily.<br> <br>Thelergramor grins, drinks. &quot;Heh. Fighting. Glorious.&quot; More of whatever that alcohols was is imbibed; Thele not caring too much what it is. &quot;Taking challengers or do you have it all lined up already?&quot;<br> <br>Kalt snickers as she nods and picks up a drumstick to bite into hungrily as she leans back and watches Sven and his antics. &quot;Ah, should&#39;a figured that... Hmmm, guessin&#39; I could sock you in the jaw after I finish a bit more food an&#39; all!&quot;<br> <br>Cassidy gives a soft, lilting laugh as she remains by her jaguar and her instrument case. &quot;My, my. This&#39;ll be interesting, I think.&quot; She nibbles down another piece of meat before smiling at Natska. &quot;If you get peckish, at least, feel free to borrow from my plate if you don&#39;t feel like making your own,&quot; she says as she turns her attention back towards Sven on the stage.<br> <br>Natska purses her lips, then nods her head and smiles. &quot;Yes! It will be. I am interested to see how these gentlemen from Thera&#39;Dor fight, since I use a lot of hand to hand techniques when I fight.&quot; She pats Cassidy on the shoulder, then crosses her arms as she watches, her tail slowly swishing back and forth.<br> <br>The burly host dances about, jabbing at the air with his meaty fists as two more cougars bearing the family resemblance climb up onto the raised stage. &quot;Sven and his cousins will fight all comers!&quot; he crows, &quot;Rules are simple! No magic, no weapons, is friendly fight!&quot; The puma punches his fist into his palm. &quot;Come! Come! Do not be shy! Is all in fun!&quot; 

A slightly drunk looking bull in the livery of the Strongheart family takes off his coat and climbs into the center ring with Sven &quot;I can take you kitty cat!&quot; the big bull says.<br> <br>Thelergramor chuckles softly to himself as he watches the drunk bull climb into the ring with Sven. &quot;Heh. Fun.&quot; The wolf chugs the rest of the bottle, sets it on the nearest table and moves to watch the fight; while looking for one of these &#39;cousins&#39; Sven spoke of.<br> <br>Kalt finishes chewing an acceptable amount of food, before she hops up, and moves to climb onto one of the stages facing one of Sven&#39;s cousins. &quot;Easy&#39;nuff. So, you wanna start first big boy, or am I needin&#39; to whop you to go an&#39; getcha motivated?&quot; The Vixen&#39;<br> <br>The Vixens tail flicking as she grins.<br> <br>Cassidy leans over against Natska as she watches, her own tail twitching and occasionally batting against the feline&#39;s. &quot;Yes, I do it from time to time, as well! Though most of my unarmed combat relies on my kicks! I am very eager to see how this all plays out, yes!&quot;<br> <br>Natska leans over and rubs her nose against Cassidy&#39;s cheek and smiles happily then claps her hands and cheers. &quot;You can do it, Kalt! Give them a friendly, hospitable beating!&quot; The jaguar grins, then turns back to the table to grab a couple of snacks before she returns to Cassidy&#39;s side.<br> <br>Sven shucks off his boots, kicking them gently from the ring before turning to face the bull. &quot;Welcome Lord Strongheart!&quot; he crows, &quot;Now we fight!&quot; Sven inclines his head slightly toward the challenger before taking two quick steps and lashing out at the bull with a solid jab to the nose! The bull, already tipsy and completely unprepared tumbles backward and falls out of the ring! &quot;One for Snowmark!&quot; crows Sven, &quot;Who will be next?&quot; 

The other Snowmark just grins at Kalt and holds out his arms in a gesture of welcome before resuming his tight fighting stance.<br> <br>Thelergramor grins as the bull is defeated easily. Shrugging, he heads towards the ring, gets all up in there. Thel cracks his knuckles; unlike Sven, has no boots to remove. Just smiles at the Snowmark, amused. Waits for him to make the first move. Doesn&#39;t switch out his soulgem to something that would help him fight better; thinks it&#39;s unsporting to rely on artificial skills.<br> <br>Kalt stretches her arms and gives a slight bow to the snowmark, before she crouches low and dashes forward! The Vixen appearing as if she was going for a straight charge, though as she gets close the snowmark she crouches down, and leaps up! Working to try and turn in the air as she attempts to drop kick them in the chest!<br> <br>Cassidy gives a little smile at Natska as she acquires some food of her own, nodding gently. &quot;Yes, you can do it, Kalt! Don&#39;t make us look bad, now!&quot; She says with a grin. &quot;Hmm. Usually I&#39;m always happy to jump into a spar, but... I think today I shall abstain. I&#39;d rather not dirty my fancy dress, you know?&quot; She says to the jaguar next to her.<br> <br>Natska smiles back at Cassidy. &quot;Yes. I will enjoy lord Sven&#39;s hospitality and his food, and save his family from my fists. But I am still very happy to watch!&quot; She picks up some meat-thing wrapped in bacon on a skewer, heavily seasoned, and sniffs at it before she begins nibbling away. &quot;Mmmm.&quot;<br> <br>The Snowmark cousin dances back, just beyond the reach of Kalt&#39;s whirling kick, before sliding in for a hard shoulder check! 

Sven grins as Thelergramor joins him in the ring. &quot;Excellent!&quot; the hefty puma crows dancing forward and aiming a snap kick at the wolf&#39;s head! 

The partygoers have begun to gather and watch the sparring matches, a heavy clanned hippo joining in on the third ring.<br> <br>Thelergramor tries to move his head out of the way; but is too slow. Gets kicked right in the head, staggering him and making him laugh. Shaking off the hit: &quot;Heh... Good kick.&quot; Probably won&#39;t be able to take too many more of those. The wolf responds by quickly jumping towards the puma in an attempt to slam an elbow into his face.<br> <br>Kalt doesn&#39;t wait long as the cousin tries to shoulder check her, the vixen dropping low before rolling back and out of the way! She took only a single breath then, before rising, attempting to throw her left shoulder into the Snowmark&#39;s gutt! <br> <br>Cassidy nods at Natska. &quot;Yes! Watching is fun. I&#39;d rather not accidentally end up giving anyone a show if I were to get into a scuffle in my dress, though. Win or lose, that&#39;d be rather... Ah, embarrassing. So I&#39;d just as well avoid it! Maybe if I were wearing my suit! But alas, I am not.&quot;<br> <br>&quot;It&#39;s not embarassing if you do it on purpose,&quot; Natska says, tone thoughtful. Then she finishes off her snack and leans in against Cassidy, attention split between the two fights with her friends in them.<br> <br>Sven slides effortlessly away from Thelergramor&#39;s wild attack. &quot;Come little wolf!&quot; he cries exuberantly, &quot;Is great fun, da?&quot; The hefty puma lashes out with a quick jab under the attacking wolf&#39;s ribs! 

Kalt&#39;s opponent is no less wily than she as he drops to the ground and rolls away, spinning his way back to his feet and sweeping a leg out to strike at the vixen&#39;s knees!<br> <br>Just before Thelergramor is struck: &quot;Damn right it is!&quot; And then the wind is knocked out of him. Fist struck right below the ribs. The wolf doubles over; leans towards the puma and swings his head up, trying to strike below the chin. A last ditch effort, clearly.<br> <br>Kalt lets out an ack as she&#39;s hit in the knees, causing her to stumble and tumble to the floor until she comes up away. Letting out a slow breath, the turns once more and readies herself, watching her opponents movements as she shuffles forward to close the distance before she moves to strike! Her right hand feints to try and lead him to expect a punch, though she brings up her right foot and lashes out straight in an attempt to kick them in the chest! <br> <br>Cassidy rolls her eyes and snickers. &quot;There&#39;s only one person here I want seeing anything like that, dear! Everyone else can remain happily unaware, as far as I&#39;m concerned,&quot; she says with a snicker before popping another piece of food into her mouth.<br> <br>Natska giggles loudly at that, then leans over and down so that she can give her love a kiss behind one of her ears, her tail curling, the end flicking back and forth. Then she cups her hands and calls out. &quot;Come on, Kalt! Thel!&quot;<br> <br>Sven laughs heartily and lowers his guard, stepping forward. &quot;Friend wolf is alri-&quot; he is cut off mid-sentence as Thelergramor&#39;s hard skull cracks into his jaw and the puma staggers backward a few steps. He touches a thick finger to his nose, where a trickle of blood has started to flow. &quot;Heh,&quot; the burly cat snorts, then takes a pair os short steps and lashes out with a hard kick. 

Kalt&#39;s ruse is very effective as she lands a hard blow to the Snowmark cousin&#39;s chest, sending the poor feline sprawling. He very nearly falls from the stage, but manages to drag himself to his feet. The cat regains his composure and readies himself for Kalt&#39;s next attack. 

The third stage holds the second cousin, a very winded hippo, and the bottle the two have begun to share.<br> <br>The hard kick is only semi felt as the impact from Thelergramors headbutt, coupled with the still airless lungs, collapses the wolf. He falls to the ground of the ring, fighting to stay conscious and grinning like an idiot.<br> <br>Kalt doesn&#39;t give him long to recover though, the Vixen almost dancing forward as she hops from foot to foot, before jumping into the air as she moves to deliver a swift roundhouse kick at her opponent! The Vixen&#39;s lips curled into that oh so common grin, and her tail flicking behind her as she moves!<br> <br>Natska slips her arm around Cassidy&#39;s shoulder as she watches the fights going on, enjoying the spectacle and the show, ears perked and twitching as her attention moves back and forth.<br> <br>Sven laughs robustly as the wolf falls, dabbing at his bleeding nose with his shirt sleeve. &quot;Is excellent fight!&quot; he crows, bending down and hefting Thelergramor bodily from the ground. &quot;I like this one!&quot; he says, dragging the wolf down from the ring, &quot;Bring him best drinks!&quot; 

Kalt&#39;s opponent does not fare as well, reading the vixen&#39;s attack too late! He takes the full force of her attack and tumbles from the ring! &quot;Cousin Sven!&quot; the puma calls after picking himself up off the turf, &quot;This one is a powerhouse!&quot; The cougar dusts himself off and holds a hand out to Kalt. &quot;Maybe the lady would like a drink?&quot; he offers the vixen.<br> <br>Thelergramor is still pretty out of it; concussive force to the head will do that to him. &quot;Yeah... Good fight.&quot; He chuckles again. &quot;Drinks. Yes.&quot; Enthusiasm for the alcohol a bit muted by his dazed state. Just lets Sven drag him towards the alcohol.<br> <br>Kalt lets out a sigh and nods, taking the hand and jumping off before giving the puma a pat on the back. &quot;Yeah, a drink is soundin&#39; mighty fine right now! Good fight though, what&#39;s your name an&#39; all sport?&quot; The Vixen giving a friendly smile as she chuckles.<br> <br>Cassidy sighs softly and leans against Natska again, smiling. &quot;Very good fight, you four!&quot; She calls out before giving as best a clap as she can, with her hand holding a plate of food. &quot;Yes, very nice indeed! Oh, if only I was properly dressed to fight today, hmm?&quot;<br> <br>Natska quietly snickers, giving Cass&#39; shoulders a squeeze before she calls out and cheers for the contestants. &quot;Bravo! Well done, Kalt! And not too bad, Thel. You were good, Sven.&quot; She grins, then nudges Cass. &quot;Maybe we will find something similar while we are there.&quot;<br> <br>Sven himself takes his coat again and drapes it over his shoulders. &quot;Many thanks to you, ladies and gentlemen!&quot; he crows, turning to the crowd, &quot;Is great fun, nyet?&quot; He waves a hand. &quot;Now, music and dancing!&quot; he calls, and a crew of musicians take center stage and begin to play a lively tune while two crews of pumas, more of Sven&#39;s cousins no doubt, begin performing acrobatic dances on the other two stages. 

&quot;My name is Viktor, pretty lady,&quot; the other puma tells Kalt as he leads her to a table and pours her a drink, &quot;Thank you for the fight. It was good practice for the Caldera Festival!&quot;<br> <br>Thelergramor rubs his eyes, then takes another whole bottle of whatever that stuff was. Opens it begins to drink. Having kind of heard Natska and Cassidy through his dazed condition, he responds: &quot;Hmm? good fight, yes? Was fun.&quot; Thel smiles, continues to drink. Sits at a table.<br> <br>Kalt takes the drink and raises it up high in a toast to Viktor as she nods. &quot;Not a problem. Always findin&#39; myself up for a fight an&#39; all! S&#39;not too often folks wanna go sparrin&#39; for fun an&#39; such, most are just tryin&#39; to learn or test somethin&#39; fancy! An&#39; the Caldera festival? Is that a big ol&#39; Thera&#39;dorian thing?&quot;<br> <br>Cassidy chuckles softly and nods at Natska. &quot;Perhaps, perhaps! There&#39;s a number of things I&#39;m looking forward to, there! Exploring, trying to find a maneback breeder... All kinds of fun things to do! And the cold-fashion!&quot;<br> <br>Natska follows the small group back over to the refreshments, nodding her head along as she listens to the music and helps herself to a drink. &quot;Yes. It will be a fun and eventful trip, won&#39;t it love?&quot;<br> <br>&quot;Da!&quot; Viktor says enthusiastically, &quot;It is a martial arts tournament held every year in Caldera!&quot; The young puma says, &quot;it is the highlight of the year for young martial artists! Cousin Sven was champion last year. But it is always different!&quot;<br> <br>Thelergramor continues to drink where he is sitting; looks over to Cassidy and Natska. &quot;Taking a trip to Thera&#39;dor? Have fun. I&#39;d offer to go with you, but...&quot; Thel doesn&#39;t finish the thought; is reasonably certain they no why he wouldn&#39;t go with them. Glances up at the musicians, before looking back to the others. &quot;I should probably get going. Have a bit of a headache now.&quot; A short laugh, befoer he departs with the bottle of alcohol with him.<br> <br>Kalt blinks slightly as she tilts her head. &quot;A tournament? When is that supposed to be goin&#39; on an&#39; all then? figure I could go for makin&#39; a trip round to go visitin&#39; a new country an&#39; all... M&#39;figurin&#39; it&#39;s a nation wide tournament an&#39; all though? Probably good for watchin&#39; though...&quot;<br> <br>Cassidy perks her ears at that. &quot;Oooh. Did you hear that, love? A martial arts tournament! I wonder if we&#39;d be allowed to participate? That sounds like it could be fun!&quot;<br> <br>Natska nods her head, rubbing at the underside of her muzzle. &quot;Sven! Are foreigners allowed to participate?&quot; she ask cheerfully. &quot;It sounds like fun, I haven&#39;t seen many of those sorts of things around Firmament.&quot;<br> <br>The festivities don&#39;t end with the fights, turns out the Snowmarks are an endless fount of ideas for new games and entertainments! The feasting and music and dancing carry on late into the night. Viktor even manages to drag a promise from Kalt that she will come see him for good luck at the tournament in a week or so and everyone is assured that they will be welcome to join in the tournament!
