<div></div><br> <br>A rather bulky mole stands at the entrance to the silvervein pass, talking to a female Taipan. The closer one gets to him the more evident his distressed tone becomes. "It just fell on em, broke poor Johnny's leg! We gotta get them outta there fast!" the mole cries and the young snake nods in agreement. The mole practically dances in place as he spouts off worries and the urgency of the situation over and over again.<br> <br>Nemoric wanders over toward the mole and taipan, looking about and assuming one of them may have called for help with the miners. As he gets closer assuming its the mole, "So how many are down there?"<br> <br>A shadow crosses the ground over those who have gathered.  Looking up would reveal that the Iguana-dragon has arrived on the scene and is in the process of landing nearby.  After folding his wings he steps over and asks, "What's the situation?"<br> <br>Peril trots after Nemoric, sticking close to the big tiger, her tail down and ears back as she looks over the area, while her hands run nervously back and forth over her forearms which are pressed to her belly. "This seems like the kind of situation where the small one gets sent into a cold dark space because she is the only one that will fit. I don't like those kind of situations. It nearly got me blown up last time"<br> <br>The mole looks to Nemoric and exclaims "8 of them, my whole crew! I could hear their crys of agony, they'll be gone if we don't get them out!" The mole looks around at the group and pivots in place,  hurrying off into the pass. "Come on! We can still save them!" he says dashes off. The snake tilts her head and hurries quickly.<br> <br>Nemoric moves after the mole as well, pondering if earth magic wouldhelp with the cave in, looking to peril after ruffling her ears, "Then why come if you were worried about that?"<br> <br>Mazurek passes his gaze over the other two present while the mole and snake hurry off, "I'm sorry to hear you were nearly blown up.  I'd love to stay and hear about it, but I guess we can't tarry any longer."  He follows the group, taking the rear guard unless Peril takes that role.<br> <br>Peril sighs and grumbles but follows quickly after the others, hurrying to keep up as best she can while swatting at the tigers paw "Hey, If people are in danger of loosing their lives I'm not above doing something I don't like to help out."<br> <br>The mole leads the group with a "Come on stop your squawking!" as he rounds a corner and into a cave. He immediately returns to view followed by two Howling Elementals. Bite begins prepping some form of magic as the mole dives for cover.<br> <br>Nemoric blinks and just laughs as he begins prepping another form of magic to hit the elementals with as well. Though yeah his is actually explosive force.<br> <br>Mazurek is not knowledgable about who is using what magics unless there is some verbal warning given beforehand.  When the elementals appear he leaves his place at the back and rushes right in at them.  Seems they've picked up an unarmed combatant, for his first move is simply to punch the things.<br> <br>Peril stops in her tracks, standing well behind the others at the first hint of trouble. Dropping into a crouch and starting to summon up her own magical energies, ordering the forces and channelling them towards those in front of her to aid in their own attacks, which is notably useless to the person rushing into the line of fire.<br> <br>Bite unleashes her spell and the area around the creatures is engulfed in crackling flames. "Sssweetie get back." she hisses as she realizes one of the group has run up on the elementals. The elementals themselves both resort to their namesakes, letting loose a threatening howling duet. The mole seems to have taken up a pick axe, although he stands behind Peril as he shouts out orders. "Come on we're wasting time!" he cries.<br> <br>Nemoric releases a different but controls explostion right between the howling elementals tring to throw them apart from each other and interupt the howling duet they have unleashed to give others time to work on them indivdually.<br> <br>The dragon was in the midst of the flames when they suddenly appeared around even him.  His draconic nature protects him from the blast, yet causes the shorts he wears to have damage of its own, "Shut that mole up or he can go in on his own!"  He does not back down from his attacks, proceeding into a series of kicks directed over one of the elementals.<br> <br>Peril watches the elementals get roasted and the dragon go diving right in the claim all the glory, quickly giving up on channelling energies rising back to an upright posture, her hips tipping to one side as her weight shifts to one leg and a hand falls to rest on her thigh "I am not sure we should be taking a dragon down into the mine, and using fireballs and the like when we may be dealing with gas pockets also seems tricky" Her thoughts may or may not be lost in the midst of battle, but with things seemingly well in hand there isn't much for the cat to do but act as moral support<br> <br>The miners orders come out softer but do not stop as he hears Mazurek. Bite preps a second spell and the fires intensify, the creatures inside scorched and torn by the assault of magic. They offer a futile set of strikes at Mazurek before one crumbles to ash beneath his heel. The other is quick to follow even without an encouraging boot to the head, and the mole rushes past the dying flames into the cave. "We have to hurry we lost time!" he cries out. The snake sighs and hurries after him.<br> <br>Nemoric shrugs a bit and follows after adressing peril's questions as he follows, "Well if more mine falls in he can help dig us out? Who knows what will happen." <br> <br>Mazurek does not respond to Peril's comments until the two elementals are dealt with, which doesn't take long in the first place, "Thanks for the utter lack of confidence, miss.  I'm not the one tossing fireballs here."  He snorts and follows the rest down into the tunnels, his shorts actually smoking from the intensity of the flames he was dancing in.  He drops to all fours if his ten foot height proves to be a problem.<br> <br>Peril glances about as the second foe falls, making sure nothing else was rushing to join the fray before running forward to join the moles in the mine, eager to lend aid where it might gain her favour later. "Oh believe me. I don;t have confidence in anyone when it comes to going down into small, enclosed space which could potentially be blown up with the smallest spark. Lets just try and save these people"<br> <br>Ictus rushes in at the sounds of battle and blinks as he sees it's over, "Well... I see you can take care of yourselves out here." he chuckles a bit and looks around, "Where are you guys headed?"<br> <br>The mole does not stop to greet Ictus, leading Bite and the others down a winding path of rocks and darkness. He occasionally stops the group to keep them from crossing paths with a kark or jarl, seemingly trying to avoid future conflict on the way to their destination. He motions to rather unstable looking portion of the cave and points down a small hole. "We dug this out recently, it's safe trust me. They're just a little further." he says as he hops down and waves the others to follow. Bite lowers her body down gently and tails the mole.<br> <br>Nemoric archs a brow a brow at the hole but shrugs and follows after. If a mole doesn't know if its stable enough for so many than how the hell would he. Besides miners should know their job well enough.<br> <br>Mazurek looks back toward Ictus briefly but does not respond to him, either.  If he's wanting to come along he can do so.  If Peril insists on him being in the rear, or at least behind her, he does so and that is when he tells the fox what is happening.  The fact theat they are avoiding further fights is a bonus, for he definitely doesn't want to tell the mole off again during one.  Then comes the hole and the promise that it is safe, which prompts the immediate question of, "If this new one is perfectly safe, then why are your friends trapped in what should be an even more secure location?"<br> <br>Peril followed with some reluctance, more than a little hesitation in her step. Falling to the back of the party the cat continued to look about nervously, eager to shed more light on the dark passage but unwilling to risk a spark or flame. Looking to the dragon as he fell back she answered him with "yeah... I'm not feeling that a passage that has already partiality collapsed is likely all that stable, but if people are trapped and injured we need to get in there quick". Letting her shoulders slump and moving closer to one of the walls to wait on Ictus catching up.<br> <br>Ictus hmms as he follows the others and nods to Mazurek when he explains things, "I see..." he lowers himself down into the hole as the others do and follows<br> <br>The mole continues on with the taipan and tiger in tow, the others will soon be left behind if they don't hurry. "There was the thing." the mole says as he moves, trying to recall what he's referencing. The snake follows quickly and looks back to Nemoric with a slightly worried look.<br> <br>Nemoric archs a brow at the comment, "What thing?" Looking back to Bite and shrugging a bit, flexing his hands as if getting ready to cast something if need be.<br> <br>Mazurek is keeping up quite well with the leaders, especially since he seems to be as formfortable in one stance as the other.  Still, he needs to bound forward every few moments.  He can hear the conversation quite well so he lets the others ask the questions he is asking silently.<br> <br>Peril hurries just enough to keep those in the lead in sight, sure that if any situation came up that required her specialist talents the others would let her know. Since so far her useful talents in situations like this had mostly involved fitting into small spaces and transporting items from one location to another and the only times they were employed had brought her little more than trouble she was entirely happy to be the last one in the party to get to wherever they were going.<br> <br>Ictus tilts his head at the mole when he hears his comment and shakes his head, he looks to the others as he follows closely<br> <br>The mole comes to a stop in front of a large pile of rubble, looking around cautiously. "The out of place thing..." he says and shakes his head. "It doesn't seem to be here come on lets get them out before it comes back!" he says as he begins working at the pile of rocks. There is a small crevice on the side through which agonized groans can be heard.<br> <br>Nemoric summons a water elemental before moving to help the mole work on the pile of rocks. The water elemental taking a rock and moving it farther down the tunnel to space out the mess so we don't just pile it in one spot and have to move it agian.<br> <br>Mazurek helps clear the rock slide as best he is able, using his greater strength and such.  For the rocks that seem to be too large to safely move he consults the others with, "You think I should blast the larger ones with a blast of lightning?"  To demonstrate, he focuses briefly to let electricity dance between his feeth.  Gotta love the elements.<br> <br>Peril catches up on the others when they come to a stop, her pace slowing to a plod as she came up behind them. the cat's hands clasp together while she examined the rubble and the surrounding walls looking for signs of further collapse before moving in to assist in the clearing of rocks where she could<br> <br>Ictus looks to Maz and shakes his head, "You could cause a collapse... I don't think we can risk that." as he helps with the moving of rocks as best he can<br> <br>The miner shakes his head. "The large ones will give eway when we move ethe smaller stones." The pile of rocks is slowly dwindling. Bite looks to Mazurek and shakes her head. "That seems like a really bad idea right now sssweetie, remembere what was said about sparks?" she hisses as she helps move rocks.<br> <br>Nemoric glances at the dragon then back to the miner, "I think we might have someone here for the larger ones that are to large for me to handle." He's not small but he's no ten foot dragon either.<br> <br>Mazurek glances around after a moment, letting the electricity die down in his mouth.  A deep breath is taken befire he gets back to work, hauling the small and medium sized chunks away.  If any larger pieces becomed available, he takes it upon himself to move those.<br> <br>Peril spends most of her effort avoiding being trod on by the larger members of the party or buried under loose rubble as large chunks of rock are shifted away from the blockage "how deep in are they? How much tunnel are we likely to need to clear?"<br> <br>"You can hear them right?" the mole says as he keeps working, offering this as a judge of distance. From a small crevice a bony grasp snares Peril. While they manage to avoid a crushing loss of air they are not able to avoid being dragged into the crevice. The stones begin to rumble and the miner almost goes pale. "The out of place thing..." he says as he hurries to clear the rubble.<br> <br>Peril yelps and screams as the bony digits close about her, the little cat squirming and wiggling, trying to work her way free as she grasps the offending limb with both hands, her claws extended to rake across the hard surface of the unknown creature as she is dragged through the small space within the crevice.<br> <br>Nemoric looks over and grumbles, sending the water elemental, since its smaller than him, to go into the cervice and keep what ever monster took peril busy as he tries to see just how much room the cervice has and if they can get through it to help peril, "Damn being larger."<br> <br>Mazurek grunts a bit as Peril gets captured by something with a boney hand/claw/appendage.  Unlike the tiger, however, the dragon does not cease clearing the rubble.  They were hired to do a task and, really, he has no true relations yet with either feline.  If he ends up next, he has things he can do for that.<br> <br>The elemental is smashed hard upon entry and perils claws seem futile against the creature. Bite hisses and draws her dagger, working her body into the hole to try and rescue the feline. "Bone Dragon?" she hisses as she lunges in to attempt to rescue Peril from peril. Nemoric can't quite fit, hes just too big, and the mole doesn't stop digging as he breaks through to the other side.<br> <br>Nemoric mutters and goes over to where the mole breaks through to the other side tring to see if theres a way to the other side of the crevace to help with the bone dragon. Speaking to the miner while he searches, "You know bone dragons in the area would have been a nice thing to mention."<br> <br>Mazurek turns his attention away from the cave-in when enough of the debris is cleared to let the mole slip right through it.  He sighs softly and comments to Nemoric while the tiger is passing by, "Bone dragon.  Great.  Looks like we're in a fix unless our snake friend can handle it on her own."  He follows as best he can behind the tiger to confront the mole(s) about it.<br> <br>Peril focuses her efforts and pulling free of the monsters grasp, clawing at its joints and pulling at its fingers in an effort to loosen its grip enough for her to wiggle her way free and climb back out of the crevice to freedom<br> <br>As the serpent stabs the creature and the feline works at it, it let Peril go as it works to smash the elemental again, the poor thing is wobbly as its form seems to be coming apart. The mole approaches his crew and runs up to one who is now missing a leg. "I just want you to know, you'll be covered." he says as he helps the one legged worker up and the others start coming out of the hole, staggering. A few of them are bleeding from some form of assault. Bite slips out of the crevice again as quickly as she can and urges Peril to follow with a "Come on sssweetie."<br> <br>Nemoric moves to back up bite and peril as the come back out of the whole just incase the dragon tries to reach for one again. Attempting to send some healing energy to his elemental, might not be able to hold its own aginst a bone dragon to long... but maybe long enough.. He'll make it up to the elemental later.<br> <br>The Iguana-dragon doesn't stick around the mole too long, either.  Once he sees that the reunion is in order he follows the tiger right back out to the other two as they are emerging, "So, what's it like down there?  Is there room enough to hunt the thing down whereever it's hiding?"<br> <br>Peril pulled free of the creatures grasp at the first opportunity, grabbing hold of the rocky walls and hauling herself back out of the narrow space and into the main passage. Rolling away from the opening and onto all fours she hurries away from the threat and through the forest of legs in the passage up behind Nemoric where she can shelter from further assault.<br> <br>The moles have all vacated with the exception of the hobbled fellow and the mole they came with. "Come one! We'll seal it off!" he cries back to them as they progress. Bite shakes her head. "It's taking up all the room ssswee.." she hisses before hearing the announcement of demolition, she looks to the others and slithers off, not wishing to be sealed inside.<br> <br>Nemoric perks an ear at the announcement and yeah not a good time to waste time. Reaching down to grab peril and follow after bite, what the cat has tiny legs might as well make her keep up...and not grabbed by random bone dragons in cracks...again.<br> <br>Mazurek smirks, shaking his head a little.  He decides to get a little 'fresh' with the bone dragon and trots over to the crevice on all fours before calling down to it, "If you're wanting out, now's a good time, bones!  They're sealing you right back up!"  He doesn't even spend any more time there, though, making a dash for the exit immediately afterward.<br> <br>Peril yips as she finds herself once again being grabbed out of the blue, though the large and rather familiar paws of the massive tiger are more than welcome in this instance and the little cat curls up obligingly while clinging to one of the male felines forearms for security<br> <br>As the group emerges from the hole one of the moles pulls out a rather interesting looking divice, two vials of liquid contained in a glass sphere. He gives it a shake and then throws it down the hole before darting off, and an alchemic reaction beings to take place, a delayed explosion rocks the cave as the party retreats back towards the surface, having completed their mission. Back at the edge of the pass they all get a chance to catch their breath, and the mole gives a hearty handshake to Nemoric. "Thank you all for your help, sorry bout all the trouble." he says with a smile. Bite giggles smiles "You're welcome sssweetheart, I hope you all get to work again soon."<br> <br>Nemoric shrugs a bit, "Try not to get trapped in anymore holes hm?" He moves to head back to town as well.... yeah he didn't put down the cat.<br> <br>Mazurek was in no real rush to flee the explosion, though he did have long strides.  He waits until the others have left the area before he takes to the air, wanting to go to his little place of Zen to check the condition of his shorts.  They got a little too dry in the elemental battle.<br> <br>Peril clings to her companion feline, purring contentedly and nuzzling into his chest, making any excuse to remain firmly entrenched within the massive muscular males arms, happily sheltering from all the dangers the world might threw at her.[[Category:RPLogs]]
