<div></div><br> <br>Angus narrows his eyes as the peacock mentions someones 'special prize' and he snarls, about to utter an insult or something...That's when the dark magic hit him. With a groan he doubles over, his insides feeling as if they are liquefying, and he wretches blood..and worst. He staggers for a second, and nearly falls to. Mirana's appearance is barely noticed at first, until she starts cramming herbs down his throat and working spells to alleviate what was happening to him. He staggers once more before he stands up and pants. "I'm okay.....help the others!" Shaking his head his eyes go hard as he looks back at the thugs, and draws his Sabre.<br> <br>Things you don't expect the person you've come to save to do in clude, blast you with dark magic, get naked or start screaming ineherently.  Right about now...screaming nudity doesn't seem like such a bad thing.  Holding up his massive armored tome before him he says 
 
 "Don't do anything rashhurk! " 
 
 feeling the energy pass into him, the massive tower of priest has to do everything in his power not to crumblle onto the femmes ahead of him despite the mixture of fluids filling his lungs ears and eyes.  Heaving his lungs into a cloth he struggles fully upright, a mighty enhale washing over those in the party with him drinking in the impurities and hostile math in order to cleanse all of the harm done to them.  
 
 "Suffer no afflictions to the faithful, breathe freely ye voices of the creators' will."<br> <br>Ixitixl sees people keeling over in the streets leaking vital fluids, amongst other things, and cannot lurk in the shadows any longer, thus springing into action! By which I mean... he slinks out, darts nervous glances about, and when none of those ghastly hoodlums tries to mug him, finally comes tromping over to lend his aid. Angus... already being tended to. Kurzon... looking to be in better shape than the rest. Ictus! The noble vulpine suddenly has a lizard fussing over him, stammering and yet speaking so quickly that it mostly blurs together. Something about how he should hold still and he'll be alright and... did he just say parakeet?<br> <br>The kid squirms and flails as the thug lifts him up. "Look he went towards the entrance to firmament!" the kid cries out as his arm is squeezed violently at the elbow, threatening to be ripped off. With the information out there the non-afflicted tough guys start heading out towards the entrance to frmament, leaving the party to clean up after themselves and the incapacitated left behinds. "C'mon we gotta hurry!" they say, pushing past Angus who nimbly dodges an intended shove to the face.<br> <br>Mirana looks around and sees that Angus and Kurzon are doing better, and Ictus is getting tended to. She hears the announced information and notices as those intent to do harm speed by her brother, "Stop! I said..." and she does some quick math work, rasing a paw and stamping it heavy on the ground, "STOP!" A ripple eminates, the bulk of its strenght finding its way to the running thugs, though some of the near shacks get some shaking. She then looks over to the boy, "We're not here to hurt you, what is going on, some explination please, before we have to start getting rough ourselves." She hated having to resort to threats, but they all needed to see that running would not be taken well. "We came here to talk about a Shadow in possession of Solacious crests, where are they? And what is going on here?"<br> <br>Ictus grunts as he hurls on the Iggy that's tending to him and shakes his head as Kurzon relieves the leaking, "Ooohh, my head..." which probably comes out garbled as he tries to look around to make sense of things, he's trying to hang onto the house he clutched to<br> <br>He is still suffering from the effects of Kilsa's herbal supplements, was just hit by black magic, and now a shove to the face....Angus was pissed! Dodging the shove he snarls, before he lashes out at the nearest target. Surging forward he launches a kick at the back of his nearests assailants knee, and while his opponent is off balance he trys to shove him into his friends...and that's when his sisters shockwave hits him and he stumbles away from them, thrown off balance by the suddenly moving ground.<br> <br>Kurzon shakes off the effects of the nausea, his hammer and tome falling from his hands as he reaches both mitts up and back over his shoulders to grasp his musket and level it in the direction of the fleeing things, aiming low at thighs and rumps as he utters a prayer for guidance and strrength and begins firing explosive math treated shots.  There is a moment of pause as his hammer and tome jerk on the chains that bind them to him and them he is firing again.  Inciting a child into delenquence, attacking the just doers of the city and now running away without a proper reckoning?  Kurzon is starting to well with righteous wrath.<br> <br>Ixitixl is only given to hesitate for a moment after being the recipient of Ictus' last meal. It barely phases him, though he now looks a little bothered. "It's o-okay, I've got you... just... just relax and, and um... relax." A bottle is uncorked and a pill shaken out. "Swallow this one." Then a leaf gingerly lifted out of another container. "And th-then let this one... let this dissolve on your ton-tongue." He spares a worried glance after the retreating miscreants but... helping the injured comes first!<br> <br>The barrage of attacks hit the leaving thugs, knocking them over and wounding them, their progress has all but stopped as they collapse on their faces and try to push back up. The child makes a mad dash for freedom, escaping the harassing adults. He books it down an alleyway and is soon completely gone from sight. The party is left with a group of disoriented and injured thugs and a clue.<br> <br>As the kid runs off Mirana turns to the thugs, "Ok, answers, and now, what is this you are going after? And it is in the city?" The pregnate vixen doesn't look to be kidding about. "Talk, and tell me what is going on. You said you needed to feed your families right? I know aid is sparce here, and more could be done to help, but what are you after that could feed your families as is? And how long would it last? Maybe it would be better if you came to the city with me, I'll make sure you have more then you can carry in food, though I'm not sure what else I could offer in exchange for the information." She says, though stands ready to do whatever it would take to keep their only leads from getting away, wishing she had stopped the kid instead.<br> <br>Ictus mumbles something as he swallows the pill and makes a face at the taste of the leaf, almost spitting it out before the medicine starts to work. He blinks a little more clearly as he sees the kid get away and sighs, "Well... Let's hope we can find this shadow."<br> <br>Angus was already looming over them, with his sword at one of their throats. "First one to tell us what we want to know gets a thousand crowns, no questions asked." He comments in a low voice. his ears twitch when he hears Mirana, and he sighs before he puts his sword away. "I know your trying to help your family, but this isn't the way. We can help you, just help us."<br> <br>Kurzon stows his musket, murmurring aloud a prayer of gratitude to the saints and creators as he strides forward, one hand taking up his hammer and the other his tome in case of additional resistance as he approaches the fallen thugs, circling around to get between them and any further attempts to escape, then recalling the words uttered, and keeps on going, the city entrance having been their destination.  
 
 "It is time for redemption!  Confess your sins, your names and those that you are affiliated with that you may be treated with justice and your injuries healed as good men of Firmament as the kind people have offered, I will go forth and try and resume your burden of task that this incident will not be for nought after blood has been shed, any that are capable, with me to chase down our quarry, whilst other seek more information."<br> <br>Ixitixl draws a deep breath and lets it out with a sigh of relief as Ictus grows more coherant and stable. He gives the fox a gentle pat on the shoulder and turns in search of anyone else in need of aid. Seeing everyone either patched up or having crawled off in the confusion, he quietly shuffles over to join the rest of the group that's trying to intimidate the remaining thugs. Ferocity in numbers, and all that! Just... doing his utmost to ignore the smell coming off his tabard. That'll need a wash before the day's out.<br> <br>One of the thugs pushes himself up. "Deal. Kate was working with some shadow nonsense, dangerous but she got ahold of this noble fox guy, uh... what was it... sol.." he says, before the other thug wheels to face him, fist mid swing. Angus sees the assault, and being as close as he is easily steps in the way, taking a blow to the face that knocks him out cold and shoves his now bloody form into the talking thug, cutting him off and making him stumble. "YOU IDIOT SHE'll kill us!" he exclaims, shakinig his fist from the impact and trying to hobble away from the party. "I'm going, he's a danger to firmament and he's gonna get himself killed, not worth nothin dead." The guard who was talking shuts his trap on fear of death, lookinig the group over and waving for them to follow him.<br> <br>Mirana watches as Angus gets a face full of fist, and she growls, baring her fangs. She does a bit of air math and leaps infront of the heavy folk who just knocked her brother to the ground. She growls as she practically barks, holder her staff infront of her in a fighting stance, "I said TALK! NOT PUNCH OUT MY BROTHER AND RUN!" She looks to Ictus, Ixi, Kurzon, saying, "Keep that one talking, my offer still stands." Then she looks to the heavy thug, "Now, you will be telling me what is going on, by the name of my house and my standing as a Priestess under the Creators, whoever this Kate person is will be handled. Don't tell me," And she gets as scary as a pregnate vixen can get, "and you'll not have to worry about them at all!" She stands ready for a fight to start incase her attempts at intimidation and persuasion don't work, "Again, on my house and my oath, I'll do everything in my power to either help you for helping us, or force your hand, but I will know what you are hiding!" Then once more to the others, "Keep that one talking, and someone help my brother to his feet again."<br> <br>As the speech goes on an almost feral snarl and the sounds of violence can be heard over towards where Kurzon had departed alone. The poor bear had been assaulted lightning quick, a strange looking fox looms over them seemingly rippling with power. He looks down on Kurzon, having not quite finished them off, he leaves them downed on the shantytown street. On his clothes shines a solacious crest.<br> <br>Kurzon regrets nothing as his eyes close, his grip on his tome and hammer like iron as he struggles against unconsciousness.  If only Selena could have seen him...if only the nuns could have seen...He was bold, he followed the information...he made a choice to step forward....if only.<br> <br>Ictus looks to the thug who was talking and fumes a bit at hearing that one of their own had been captured, on Mirana's somewhat scary orders he nods and looks to thug. "I'll help you out as well... I'll throw in another thousand crowns if you talk." that's two thousand crowns so far, he looks at Ixi and blushes a bit, "Sorry about that." he blinks at the sounds of the fight and looks over to spot the fox with the crest looming over Kurzon. He growls and starts to charge only to stop midstride as he looks at the other fox with wide eyes, "It... It can't be!"<br> <br>Ixitixl throws up his hands and waves them frantically while shaking his head, but of course... that does literally nothing to prevent Angus from getting decked in the jaw. Then, he tries to rush in to catch the toppling fox ... which he cannot do, because he is wearing frickin' plate armour. So the lizard gets there shortly after Angus hits the ground, and is down on one knee, gauntlet off to deliver firm-but-gentle slaps in an effort to rouse the unconsious vulp, all the while cringing over and over as LOUD VOICES are shouting every which way. He looks up, hearing Ictus' disbelieving declaration, and spots the shadow-consumed figure, knitting brows with worry and redoubling his efforts to awaken Angus. Slappityslapslap. "L-Lord Solacious, please... ah... wuh-wake up!... oh dear..."<br> <br>The creature seems to take notice of the party, movnig away from Kurzon swiftly as he confidently approaches the group. The thugs back up, their backup recovering from their confusion and bodily issues start to turn and run. "Oh creators we're dead." one of them says. "We can't sneak up on it now."<br> <br>Mirana looks at the creature running to them, "What... m.. our house crest!? Who?" is all she gets out before she relises that it will be upon them shortly! She almost breaks to run, the one thing she'd feared more then anything, being taken by the shadows, but her resolve hardens a bit and she instead makes a break for Ictus, Ixi, and her brother who will hopefully be on his feet soon. "If you don't have any other ideas, I think we should make a swift exit." She says to those who are awake, "But if you have ideas, I'll stand by you!" She makes her voice heard as quickly as she can, ready for the groups decision, fight or flight.<br> <br>The previous mixed expressions of shock, joy and confusion on Ictus' face are replaced by more confusion, then realization and then deep sadness. He looks at the shadow possessed Solacious and states in shocked sadness, "Samual... What happened to you..." as he quickly, yet at the same time hesitantly moves to block the shadow foxes approach<br> <br>Angus comes to thanks to Ixitixl's slapping and blinks before he rubs his jaw. "Okay....what idiot decided to hit me with a hammer?" He asks, tasting blood as he probably cut his cheek or something. With a sigh he gets back up to his feet, picking up his discarded weapon as he does. When he finally notices the shadow fox he blinks in suprise, before he sighs and moves forward to take a position next to Ictus. "Samual? I'm guessing you know who this is Ictus?"<br> <br>Ixitixl helps Angus back to his feet as the fox recovers, then slips his gauntlet back on, knitting his brows and offering the noble an apologetic smile, hoping his wake-up method didn't aggrivate the poor punching bag's injuries. His attention then turns to the dark form stalking towards them, blocking his path to assisting Kurzon, and he takes up a battle-ready stance, though without drawing his weapon.
