<div></div><br> <br>The huge crowd in the marketplace is all gathered around a single stage that has been set up, a couple of cicadas dance about on it showing off tiny crates with price labels on them. "C'mon! Get yourself one before they're gone, marvelous magical dressers, each one guarenteed to amaze your friends and store your things safely away from nosey houseguests. Come on!" cries an Bulldog Ant of the clever folk. "Come on! You know you just have to see it, step right up, a demonstration will begin shortly." A well dressed hippo stands behind the crowd, looking quite puzzled yet interested at theh same time.<br> <br>Selena strolls down the marketplace, her bag unusually fulll with dyes and glazes. As she approaches the stage, the wolfess finds herself watching the procession of events with some interest, though a little bit amused at the display being given.<br> <br>Saibh rubs the back of her head as she pads through the market, she looks out of her element by far. Dropping her hand, she taps one of her pockets for a moment as she makes her way over to the display, then murmurs, "House guests and hiding things from them? Why not just keep it in a different room if you're going that far.."<br> <br>Sona had spent quite a bit of time this afternoon wandering around the marketplace, not quite buying anything, but just browsing the wares. The loud announcement however, catches her attention and she comes in closer within the crowd, the vixen's curiosity piqued.<br> <br>The cicadas take a cloth covering off of a large cabinet, and the bulldog ant offers a warm smile, producing a large sphere. "So say you have something valuable you want hidden away? Well let's just sit it in here." he says as he pulls a drawer open and places it inside. CLosingi the drawer he says "You!" as he points to a Stone Marten in the back of the crowd. "You look like a good sport, care to see if you can find it?" he inquires as he taps the cabinet once and leans on it. Rogna shakes his head at the display, but the crowd seems to be loving it.<br> <br>Selena notes the arrival of Saibh and Sona, giving the vixen a friendly wave and pacing around to the marten. "You're hard to get a hold of." She chuckles to the girl, directing her attention back to the stage momentarily, a smirk crossing her lips as Saibh is called up. "Well. For once they're going stright to the point." She comments a little surprisedly, "Still probbaly a waste of everyone's time though."<br> <br>Saibh glances over to Selena and says, "Uh, didn't know I was being sought?" her ears perk up and she stands on her toes for a moment, then says, "Find what now?" Probably not exactly paying attention to the sales pitch, seeing as how she's spotted a familiar face. She does sort of tilt her head towards the barker though<br> <br>Sona returns the wave to Selena when she gave it, but she doesn't come any closer, instead paying attention to the one that got called up to the stage. She keeps her hands to herself, burying them in her pockets.<br> <br>The bulldog ant waves to the cabinet. "Try and find the sphere, I'll wager fifty crowns you cannot. It is completely safe from your prying eyes." Rogna watches carefully, trying to determine what the cabinet does.<br> <br>Selena smiles back to Saibh. "I don't know about sought, bu certainly I've been keeping an eye out." She chuckles, directing her attention back to the cabinet, quietly scrutinizing it as she waits for Saibh to make her mve.<br> <br>Saibh rubs the back of her head and mutters, "I erh.. what?" shaking her head, she quickly adds, "What're they trying to get me to find for their gimmick again?" Not waiting too long for an answer just to get this over with, she starts to pick her way through the crowd<br> <br>The cicadas set down their boxes, helping Saibh up on stage with warm smiles before pushing them to the cabinet. The bulldog ant waits expectantly. "Just find the sphere kid."<br> <br>Selena flicks an ear back momentarily at the ant's comment, though she keeps her eyes trained on the cabinet before tapping her foot on the ground quietly in mild impatience.<br> <br>Saibh mutters to herself again as she peers at the cabinet and begins to pull the drawers out. She's mostly watching the ant from the corner of her eyes though, not entirely trusing him. <br> <br>Sona continues watching from her viewpoint, but she begins to wander over towards Selena, whispering towards her. "...Does this kind of stuff happen often here?"<br> <br>The bulldog ant smiles as he watches, turning to the crowd. "Not a sphere to be found folks, but I assure you it's still there. As soon as they've given up, i'll show right up, I assure you." He looks confident as Saibh does their work.<br> <br>Selena nods back to the vixen as she's approached, murmering a quick reply, "Demonstrations like this? No. Usually they're from beings that aren't trustworthy enough to show their wares before you've bought them." The wolfess replies a little derisively. "Usually. If your goods are as amazing as you claim, well... Let's say peacocking can end badly if they aren't." she looks back over at Saibh's efforts for a moment before distracting herself with her bag, putting some of her purchases in onder. "I suppose we'll see if this guy's trick cupbord works, hmm?" She smiles.<br> <br>Saibh pokes around for a few moments, looking half asleep as usual as she does so. After a bit of searching, she traces her claw along what she thinks is a seam before popping it free to peek inside. She's more or less tuned the bull ant out as she gets to work, looking somewhat serious, if still lethargic<br> <br>Sona raises her brows towards Selena's statement, looking back onstage. "Oh! Okay. So I should ignore most people like this. Got it."<br> <br>The hippo shakes his head and murmers "This is a joke." as he adjusts his cape, watching the stage. Saibh has found the sphere, and the bulldog doesn't seem too pleased. "It's just a defect folks, don't worry,I've got more of them and they'll keep your things safe or your money back." The cicadas try to draw the crowd back in with dancing but failing, they turn to give a rather sore look at the victorious finder. The bulldog ant says "Alright Kid shows over, wanna talk back there?" he quips as he points to an alley.<br> <br>Selena chuckles. "I never said 'ignore'. just be cautious about their sales pitches." The wolfess smirks. "I admit I'm not fond of people making a show out of something they could present and explain easily." casting a suspicious gaze over to Saibh and the ant when the latter makes his gesture. Selena doens't look particularly pleased about that, either.<br> <br>Saibh looks to the rather annoyed critter and holds her hands up, then quietly says, "You know a false bottom probably would've worked better right?" she then shrugs a bit and attempts to slip away from the display. Those closest might hear, "And pick your marks better." She's not sure how effective trying to blend back in with the crowd's actually going to be though, even if she makes it to the crowd proper. Something to be said for the audacity in trying with such a veiled threat though<br> <br>Sona nods a few more times at her. "Well...okay. I don't really have much of a use for a cabinet anyway. It'd be too heavy to carry, to big to be a weapon and I don't have anything to put in it. If I wanted to stop someone from looking in it, I'd just use a lock or something..."<br> <br>The cicadas and bulldog ant try their best to usher Saibh into the alleyway for a little talk, but they easily slip away. "A whole shipment ruined, why couldn't you have played along you dolt." one of the cicadas says as she lashes out at him, landing a glancing blow. Rogna breaks into a run, the clearing crowd making it easy for him and raises his sword, laying it against the cicada who stops cold, the other cicada throws down a smoke bomb and tries to escape, the bulldog ant doesn't seem concerned at all, staying put.<br> <br>Selena growls as the ant and others attempt to make an escape, sending a tremor towards the insects as she makes her own way forward in its wake.<br> <br>Saibh is in the process of calling back, "Pick your marks better" but she only gets about halfway through the sluggish retort when it's interrupted by a funny sound most akin to, "Gurkh?" as she stumbles, then tries to catch herself from falling forward<br> <br>Sona moves out of the way instinctively and stands off the the side, having little choice but to watch as the exchange turned violent.<br> <br>The bulldog ant stands firm against the rocking, the fleeing cicada, the pinned cicada and the royal born hippo collapsing before uprighting themselves. The guards are called and one cicada is taken away for their violent behavior, but while they are a certain ant and another cicada flee the scene.<br> <br>Selena scowls, rolling her eyes as the other insects flee the scene. "Really, dogpile one of them and the the others go." She grumbles, passing Saibh exactly 50 crown as she passes the marten. "Since the Ant didn't make good on his deal." She smiles, looking back to Sona. "Sorry you had to watch that. This is probably the first show to go so poorly."<br> <br>Saibh brushes herself off, then holds her hands up and says, "I don't need the crown really, it uh, would've been more fun if I'd have thought of having a way out before I popped the compartment though" Glancing back, she grins, then says, "Hey he's familiar, not as much armor this time. Thanks!" the joys of being a bit obtuse<br> <br>Sona looks over towards them as the spectacle is over before it really even began. She sighs and turns from the dispursing crowd, wondering off the market-places unknown. "Don't buy furniture from insects I guess..."
