<div></div><br> <br>The rendevous point is rather conspicuously placed in the middle of the chapel, where a black panther in fine clothing sits with head bowed in quiet meditation. He wears a silver scarf, marking him as the contact.<br> <br>Lothar hops his way through the chapel, the skunk&#39;s cloak pulled tightly around him, and a mask pulled up to cover his muzzle and majority of his facial features. His hair covered as well, with another piece of cloth over the usually white hair. Drawing closer to the contact, he sneaks his way to the middle of the chapel as he clears his throat, and merely motions to himself, before motioning to the contact.<br> <br>Thelergramor walks on up to the rendevous point, all clad in his old thief gear. Hooded leather shirt, still torn from way back when he broke Creator Joe&#39;s window, grey pants, boots to hide his prosthetic leg, as it&#39;s far too identifiable... And a number of weapons and tools. A black scarf pulled up over his muzzle, the wolf says nothing. Remains quiet and listens to whatever the contact has to say.<br> <br>Yvls makes his way into the inn, bereft of his usual armor and heavy weaponry and carrying a simple hand axe with him this time instead, dressed almost like a tavern regular, nothing too attention seeking. He notes the contact though and sits on the same bench, starting a half hearted prayer.<br> <br>The panther nods to the trio with a smirk. &quot;Could you be any more conspicuous?&quot; he asks with a sneer and motions that the masked duo should sit in the pew in front of him. &quot;I expect a certain amount of. . . Elegance for this job,&quot; he snarls softly once they take their seats, &quot;And I will pay for elegance.&quot; He nods to a small cloister where a pair of priests are chatting. &quot;In that alcove is a door,&quot; he says, &quot;leading down to a small vault where a number of items are being kept in temporary storage.&quot; He produces a few small bits of paper and discretely passes them to the conspirators. &quot;I require three small boxes with this symbol on them,&quot; he says, &quot;Any questions?&quot;<br> <br>Lothar takes one of the pieces of paper, and looks at it for a little bit to recognize the symbol, his ears slightly folded from the chastizing as the skunk seems to think, before nodding gently as he closes his eyes for prayer.<br> <br>Thelergramor peers at the symbol on the paper he was given as he sits. &quot;Thanks, I try to be as conspicuous as possible. Noone expects the guy who looks like he&#39;s doing something wrong.&quot; Thele near-whispers to the panther. The wolf&#39;s logic is infallible. Completely. Or not at all. &quot;What&#39;s in the boxes?&quot;<br> <br>&quot;Elegance, hmm?&quot; Yvls smiles. Happy to collect information about such heists that go under the nose of most in the city. Scribbling down something in quillscript for a moment before keeping his notes. &quot;Payment?&quot;<br> <br>&quot;Nothing you need worry about,&quot; the panther says cooly to Thelergramor, &quot;And nothing anyone will miss.&quot; He does not look around as he speaks, keeping his eyes down in an attitude of meditation. &quot;I will be waiting in front of the chapel with your payment when you bring me the boxes,&quot; he says, &quot;Ten Thousand Crowns each, and a bonus if you can get in and out with no one the wiser.&quot; The panther stands fluidly and turns to go. &quot;Good luck,&quot; he says. 

The alcove, door and vault await.<br> <br>Lothar finishes his prayers as he gently taps his forehead and rises, independant of the other two before he turns on his foot and begins to walk outside. His eyes glancing around as he tries to keep an eye on the clergy, so as to duck to the side and into the less observable safety once he has a safe moment!<br> <br>Thelergramor thinks for a moment, begins plotting. Glances at the priests and their alcove with the door... Pockets his hands and walks parallel to them, without watching them. Thinks they need a distraction. Whispers to Yvls, as he is still nearby: &quot;Any ideas? Might need a distraction of some kind.&quot;<br> <br>&quot;Take your shirt off.&quot; Yvls offers with a smirk. &quot;Promise you that&#39;ll buy Lothar enough time to sneak in.&quot;<br> <br>Currently, the only occupant of the quiet alcove is a small, bespectacled bear sitting in a low chair, dozing. It might be possible to just sneak by her.<br> <br>Lothar glances around, and notices the clear coast. The skunk ducking off to the side then, to walk up to the Alcove as silently as he can manage, trying to not wake up the bear as he more or less tests to see how light of a sleeper she is!<br> <br>Thelergramor nods at Yvls, and with a smirk hidden behind his scarf covered muzzle... decides against that. &quot;Oh, I&#39;m sure if I took it off, that priest&#39;d wake up and not be able to keep her hands off me. But, as he did, let&#39;s just walk on by...&quot; Still quiet. And then follows after Lothar, being as quiet as possible while trying to look innocent. And failing at the innocent looking part...<br> <br>Yvls looks around in the area for a bit and then decides that the going is clear. Still though, he keeps low and tries to silence his steps from echoing in the chapel, heading towards the alcove.<br> <br>The little priestess stirs quietly in her seat, but does not wake. The door looks solid and the lock strong. It is only a normal lock though, bearing none of the marks of mathemagical reinforcement or Creator mechanisms that would be on the main vaults.<br> <br>Lothar taps his chin slightly, before moving to stand closer to the bear woman, as he begins to look her over to try and see if she had any keys on her! Being painfully careful to not wake her up as he does so, after all, just trying to pick the lock could wake her up and he wasnt too terribly practiced at it!<br> <br>Thelergramor didn&#39;t wake up the priest! Step one complete! Now, to look at that there lock... Being somewhat adequate at lockpicking, he pulls a pair into his hands, but doesn&#39;t start on the lock. Watches Lothar, to see if his efforts give way to easily opened doors...<br> <br>Yvls pauses for a moment as he notes the priest stir, but then shakes his head and watches both of his fellow thieves stall for a moment. &quot;Hmmph.&quot; He folds his arms and then decides to just pick the lock himself, giving it a half hearted shake with his claw.<br> <br>The priestess does not wake from Lothar&#39;s cursory examination, but she does not seem to be carrying any keys. Maybe one of the other priests has them. Yvls&#39; halfhearted attempt at lock opening is unsuccessful. Looks like this is a good, sturdy lock!<br> <br>Lothar straightens his posture and resists the urge to let out a disapointed sigh as he turns and shakes his head to the other two, before looking at the lock, and then off out into the rest of the building... Surely there had to be a way... Though, for his sake of it, he gives a slight shrug and looks to Thel, expecting the wolf to try what Yvls had failed to open.<br> <br>Thelergramor does indeed try what Yvls failed. Gently brushing past the lynx, Thele gets kneels in front of the lock. Examines it for a few moments, for a place where he could just slip a dagger in and pop it open if he fails to pick it properly... then starts trying to pick it.<br> <br>&quot;Hmm. Looks like the items inside might have some value, then. If the lock is more complex than a simple tumbler one.&quot; The lynx tilting his head down and watching Thel again. &quot;I should probably be more patient.&quot; He whispers, hushed.<br> <br>No luck. The lock rattles, but does not catch. This could get tricky if the trio does not get past the lock soon. The little priestess stirs a little, but does not wake.<br> <br>Lothar frowns heavily from behind his mask as that lock seems so stubborn, the skunk trying to slip in close as he motions for one of the others to be ready to go out and find a key out there, if he fails as well! The skunk pulling out his fresh and new tools as he tries to remember what he had taught himself...<br> <br>That does it! The tools and a little beginners luck make the difference and the lock opens with a click, revealing a darkened staircase.<br> <br>Thelergramor pockets his picks again, as Lothar manages to get the door open. Pats him on the back and walks through, quietly. And gracefully. Descends the stairs without a word, keeping an eye focused ahead for any light sources which would indicate habitation.<br> <br>&quot;Mmh, just the way things should be.&quot; Yvls stays outside the entrance first, casting a small dark magic spell to create a small wall of shadow masking the intrusion into the stairway so that their visages couldn&#39;t be seen going down the stairs.<br> <br>The stairway is short, ending in a darkened room. A little bit of lights from the streets sneaks in from three narrow windows set high on the walls. In the dim light, nothing but the vague outlines of stacked crates and boxes can be seen. The heavy door above hangs silently on its hinges.<br> <br>Lothar sighs gently as he sets the lock down on the floor next to him, before debating for a moment as he looks back to the woman. The Skunk ever so clever, takes the lock into his pocket, and closes the door gently behind them. No need for someone to walk by, and see that someone left the door open! Once inside, he goes to coat himself in shadows, before scurrying along the side, and attempting to make his way to the crates and boxes!<br> <br>Thelergramor glances at the shadows and such. Decides not to use his own considerable dark talents... Makes his way over to the crates alongside Lothar. Looks for the symbol they were given. Which is likely difficult in the dark... doesn&#39;t light a match.<br> <br>Yvls forges ahead of the two distracted by the boxes, suspecting something. He lights a small fire and dims his personal lantern, using it to light the walls and see if there is any path ahead.<br> <br>With all the shadow magic being flung around, there is little to see in the short stairwell, but Yvls&#39;s little light helps immensely. The small store room is carefully stacked with crates, a few items of furniture and a number of smaller boxes about the size of a loaf of bread, many of them bearing etched symbols. The things cannot have been here long, as no dust has settled and the sharp marks of the glyphs seem quite new. The far wall is stacked high with crates and a tall shelf containing a number of small items, all with a tag bearing a few creator runes. Someone familiar with common Creator devices might recognize a sacred doctor and a couple of divine shields among the strange items. There is nothing else of interest on that wall.<br> <br>Lothar pulls out the small piece of paper with the symbol on it, as he begins to follow along where the light shows, searching for a match to what they were sent there to find, the skunk not speaking at all as his ears flick as he tries to hopefully find a match.<br> <br>Thelergramor found nothing. Saw nothing, in fact. Due to... darkness. And now there is light. Starts searching for things of value. That won&#39;t be missed. Like... broken stuff made of metal as well as looking for the stuff they were sent to find. With that symbol. Starts to think it might have been some kind of setup, but that&#39;s just paranoia...<br> <br>Yvls frowns. Looking for all sorts of signs that what he might be looking for was being hidden behind this deceptively simple facade. Surely the valued items wouldn&#39;t be put behnd a simple lock. He starts to study the signs to see if he understands any of them, and then he finds the trap, waving his arms to try to get the others to stop. &quot;Look out. Some of the boxes have traps on them to make sound.&quot;<br> <br>There they are! Lothar spots the boxes that share the mark on his page with only a little searching. Three identical boxes, all marked with the same symbol carved neatly on the top. They are quite small, only about the size of a small jewelry box. Each is held closed with a little paper seal with creator runes on it. Amazing how straight and regular they are. 
As Thelergramor looks around, he spots something surprisingly familiar! That was Joe&#39;s couch! The wolf could recognize that bit of furniture anywhere! That means that this must be the collected belongings of the Creator known as Joseph Preston!<br> <br>Lothar claps his hands together, the cloth making a muted sound as he glances over the runes, then taps his chin before begining to look it all over, seeing if it in any way was attached to where they were sitting, or if anything else is touching them! Cant be too careful after all!<br> <br>Thelergramor immediately knows that couch. All... creator couch. Heard Yvls warn of traps. Peers at Lothar. &quot;Careful with that stuff...&quot;<br> <br>&quot;Check the edges to see if you can find any air magic math around it. That&#39;ll certainly invalidate our mission.&quot; Yvls warns.<br> <br>There does not seem to be anything holding the boxes down. They seem like they should be easy to pick up and carry away. But, just as Yvls warned, there seems to be some sort of math engraved on the base of the boxes. It does not seem to do anything though.<br> <br>Lothar makes a motion that he found something, the skunk carefully reaching into his robes to pull out a dagger that he uses to motion at the base of the boxes. Not wanting to pick it up, and sound a full alarm now. Instead he motions to the object they are sitting on, and makes a slight cutting motion before looking to the other curiously as he stands to the side. He wasnt skilled in air math, so he didnt trust himself to disable it!<br> <br>Thelergramor scratches his head and stares at the math. &quot;So... it&#39;s math. Engraved. Just vandalize the engravings a bit, no more math, right?&quot; Doesn&#39;t actually know this. Is making a guess. Draws a dagger and waits for someone to tell him it&#39;s a bad idea before starting to, as he said, vandalize the engravings. Or, try to anyway...<br> <br>&quot;I thought you soulless would have an air magic soul gem ready? Just spend some time, switch out, and we can continue?&quot; Yvls folds his arms, looking rather unimpressed. He takes a seat on a box he &#39;deems&#39; safe now, waiting.<br> <br>Lothar straightens up and looks at Yvls with a slight glare, almost getting ready to retort before shaking his head and looking to Thel as he winces, and seems to think for a moment before reaching out to stop the wolf as the Skunk sighs and tries to work what little air magic he actually had knowledge of, to try and allow him to get the box -without- alerting the church.<br> <br>Thelergramor is stopped before he can do... something to the math. &quot;I could switch, bu tI&#39;m already using my best soul for air magic. Which is still pretty shitty. Besides, I find the whole process of switching to be a pain in the ass.&quot; Whispered, of course... Seeing what Lothar is doing with the air magic, uses his own air math to assist him. Or make things worse. But is trying to help.<br> <br>&quot;Alright. Seems like we have no real plan, so I trust both of you to do this properly.&quot; Yvls starts heading for the door, closing the heavy door carefully in the hopes that will muffle the sound a little.
