Fenris leads the way into a vault deep below the Solacious manor. "Just so you know," he says, holding aloft a little mathemagical light, "I am not supposed to know that this is down here or how to get into this vault. That being said, welcome to the Divine Sentinal Unit storage locker!" The fluffy liger waves a hand at a room full of crates and boxes. It isn't very big or very full, but the DSU is pretty new.

Jera holds onto his own light. The soft glow from the wisp that he has grown so comfortable around. It's even considered a friend to him nowadays. "Should we really be here? There are mountains of Creator artifacts...and Sally hasn't even been around to approve the paperwork. If we get caught..."

Fenris raises an eyebrow and grins at Jera. "Let's not get caught then!" he says, closing the vault door behind them. He looks around the room. "Ah!" he says, pointing out a tall, covered box, "There it is! I knew she had it down here!" The liger tugs the sheet away, kicking up a small cloud of dust and revealing a black box, open on one side with a panel of buttons and a dark display on another side. "You sure you want to do this?" he asks.

"I'm not so certain..." Jera admits. Face flushed with warmth. He had seemed so determined before this, and now that the daunting task was actually up he felt like backing out. "Just...I hope I don't end up like Wulf. This is a bit worse since I have a family to look after. But I am very sure. Yes. She is waiting." Somehow, the She doesn't sound like it was meant for Ama.

"What happened to Wulf?" Fenris asks. He had not known that Wulf had been fleshcrafted. "Give me a minute to get this thing ready," he says, stepping up to the panel.

"She never got back to male after finding that cave when she was younger." Jera explained tilting his head in uncertain confusion. He waits for the machine.

Fenris produces a small pouch and pours glittering lunar dust into a recepticle in the machine and the panel glows to life! "I did not realize that Wulf was born male!" he says in surprise as he fiddles with the machine, "What kind of cave does that to a being?" He presses a few more buttons then turns to face Jera. "All set!" he says, "You just tell me what you want and we can make it happen! Ama will certainly be surprised!"

"Well..I just want to try what it's like to be a woman. No need to be well endowed like Cassidy...and then I can head back to the Wardens to settle my final debt as well." Jera murmurs. Smiling warmly at that thought. "I...hope I stay a fox! These birth markings are unique, you know." He begins to undress and replace his tight clothes for a loose fitting robe, just in case.

"Of course!" Fenris says, making a few more slight adjustments to the machine, "I have it set to simply change your gender. Same general makeup, but as if you had been a girl instead of a boy. And I will tell the machine to remember you as you are, so that everything is completely reversable." The fluffy liger stands aside to let Jera enter the machine. He looks a little confused though. "Wardens?" he asks, "What debt could you have that you couldn't fulfill as a man?"

"Long story. I caused a husband to stay from his wife...and the wife to stray from her husband...and to make both of them watch the humiliation of my puppies." Jera folded his ears. "I was a rogue before I was a noble, Fenris. Please don't look down on me for it. I will return, and seek my final punishment as a girl...and then my debts are repaid."

Fenris looks at his friend with worry. "Listen," he says, "The past is the past and I believe in second chances. Don't do anything that will make me regret this, okay?" The feline turns to the controls and waves at the interior of the box. "Whenever you are ready, Miss Jera!" he says.

"And...well. Keep your involvement to yourself! If Sally knows we were in the vaults we are both going to get court marshalled." Jera raises his hand in a signal.

"She won't hear it from me!" Fenris promises, pushing the start button as Jera disappears into the machine, "I know how to keep a secret!"

Inside the fleshcrafter, strings and circles and balls of math swirl around Jera's body, filling the kit fox with a comfortable warmth, as if his bones were vibrating pleasantly. After a moment, his form starts to shift subtly, his eyesight dimming for a moment as his entire form is rewritten by the strange magic of the machine. Then, it is over, leaving Jera to examine his- her new form!

Jera finally stumbles out of the fleshcrafter...exhausted. Leaning forward and falling out of her robes to collapse atop Fenris, breathing heavily. Very definitely female. Though something is wrong...it seems the machine hasn't cooled off yet, and is still detecting male signatures near the intended target! The liger might have a bit of time before the magic recharged...

Fenris catches Jera as she tumbles from the machine. "You are going to feel a little dizzy," he says, "The Fleshcrafter uses a lot of your own energy to fuel the transformation. A good meal and some rest and you'll be a new ma- er, woman." The liger helps Jera to a seat on a low crate and goes back to the machine. "Just let me check things over here and no one will ever need to know we were in here!" he says. The fluffy feline switches a few toggles on the panel, then ducks inside the machine for a moment to be sure everything is in order.

The machine reads on the panel, "FLESHCRAFTER -creator word-" as the machine continued to hum. Arcs of what looked like thunder and lightning shooting around the coils of the defective fleshcrafter. Jera stretches out her hand with a muffled sound of alarm, managing to claw at a few buttons desperately...that only seemed to close the fleshcrafter. And then you feel your energy being used to feed the white glow enveloping your body. Legs altering a little. Tail elongating and thickening...

There is a brief cry of surprise as the machine activates again and seals itself. Then there is nothing but the hum of the Fleshcrafter for a moment before it finally shudders to a stop, the door sliding open with a hiss and the panel on the side powering down, finally exhausting its power supply. "Oh dear," comes a smooth alto voice from within and Fenris steps out into the light. The fluffy liger is no more! In his place and in his clothes stands a rather curvaceous kangaroo woman! Where Fenris had been thick with muscle, he- she? is still quite powerful looking, but her arms are softer and inviting and her wide hips seem to have torn through her trousers along with a long, thick tail. Evident between her powerful legs is a distinct absence of any masculine endownments. "This was a surprise," she says in a melodic alto, running her paws along her hips and then up to her. . . breasts? "Now we might be in trouble," she says, turning soft green eyes on Jera as she runs her fingers through soft reddish fur.

Jera was about to reply. But she slumped her muzzle low and got muffled by her breasts instead! After a short struggle she manages to find a proper position again. "Machine is flashing red...think it might be having problems. Y-you think this might be our cue to leave?" She swaps from her robe to her clothes that still fit her (if tight at the chest) from before. "You should wear my robe unless you are brave enough to risk being seen by a servant."

"Yeah," Fenris says, looking at the malfunctioning machine and touching a few buttons to shut the thing down, "There's nothing I can do to fix it right now." He- She looks down at herself, prodding at the thick, soft curves of her body. "I guess there is really no way to explain this away, is there?" he asks rhetorically, taking Jera's robe and draping it over her shoulders. The robe is a little short, showing her large kangaroo feet and ruined boots. "I guess I will just have to think of something," she says, gathering her things and leading the way to the door, "Let's get out of here!"

"Nobody has to know that it is you. Everybody will know that it is me. Think in my shoes for a moment!" Jera found mirth despite the situation. Handing Fenris a guest pass he normally had on hand to bring his dancers into the Manor....holding the kangaroo's hand and being led out!

"Right," Fenris says, mind going a mile a minute as she leads the fox out, sealing the vault behind them, "I will need a name. I'm not very good at girl's names." She looks embarrassed. "Do you mind if I pretend to be one of your dancers?" she asks, "It will give me a little bit of cover until I can fix that machine."

"I do not. It will also ensure that you have suitable clothing. You are /very/ curvy!!" Perhaps that was what Jera managed to do when he tried to stop the machine. "Elise, perhaps? I could ask her to take a rest for a while. Kangaroos jump so gracefully."

Fenris slows when they get to the main part of the manor, wrapping her ruined clothes into a tight ball and sighing. "Elise," she sighs, "That will work." She looks over her soft, red fur and wide hips. "I will need a whole new wardrobe," she mutters, then looks at Jera, "Should-" she hesitates, "Should we ask someone for help? I don't know much about, uh, girl things and it might be a while before I can get the thing fixed. . ."

"I know two girls who might know...and that we can trust." Jera gulped at that and let them upstairs.

Fenris follows after Jera. This is all terrifying and strange, but it is about time he- uh she got a decent adventure!
